A/N:So this is what takes place in Broken Rabbit. I just have to transcribe these events. :D Then I'll be able to upload them online. How's that sound? Time to update...it's been a month or so since I last updated this. Then World So Cold and Alchemist's reincarnation. :D Some things are set in stone, others are not.

Chapter 11 Insanity ensues

The figure twitched on his bed as he slept. His sheets were a tangled mess, and he was dreaming about the past, a past that seemed to have happened not so long ago. It felt like nothing more than a daydream.

"Lacie," He whispered.

His long dark hair fell into her equally dark bangs as he stared into her red eyes, his own activated with the Sharingan. She blushed slightly.

"You know, Sasuke, you and I are so alike. We both have black hair, we both have red eyes, a cynical outlook on the world. But that's why...I wish for you to look after the world when I'm gone. There's one thing that I wouldn't want...for this world to be destroyed, because I like it like this. This world and the Abyss...they're both beautiful places, Sasuke. I'd never want for any of them to be destroyed."

He put his lips against hers, and they kissed, enjoying each other's company.

"Lacie, I..." He began.

"You're doing the right thing, Sasuke. You're raising my daughters, continue to protect them, please." She whispered, and then she vanished before his eyes, covered in nothing but feathers.

"Lacie!" Sasuke cried. He felt as though he wanted to cry, and then he saw blood-red eyes; Itachi's.

"Where are you, Sasuke? I must kill you."

"Damned bastard, what'd you do with Lacie?" Sasuke cried, aiming his Chidori and charging at the ghostly Itachi, who just disappeared and left Sasuke in his taunting shadow.

It was at that moment that he felt a presence on his bed. It felt like someone was sitting on him. "He won't wake up! How boring. Hey, maybe if I kick him, he'll respond."

Sasuke felt a sharp nudge in his side and turned over and ignored it.

"Wake up! I think he needs to wake up now! WAKE UP!"

"Urgh..."

"UP, MANSERVANT!" A high voice cried.

"Hn, go away," He muttered, "Lacie."

"My name's not Lacie, my name's Alice!" The girl protested.

"Oh, Alice, go away." He hissed.

He and Alice had a love-hate relationship. Alyss seemed to respect and like Sasuke, but Alice on the other hand couldn't stand him.

"Took you long enough to wake up, dumbass," She retorted as his black eyes shot open.

"Hn, whatever."

"How come your eyes change color? My eyes don't do that, and neither do Oz's. Well...Oz won't really talk to me, unless I'm down in the Abyss," She said, her voice dropping down to a whisper. "It's all your fault. You and Jack did something to him."

"Hn, I have nothing to do with what that bastard does. I don't like him, either," Sasuke muttered.

Alice eyed him warily. "I don't really know what's going on, but Alyss has been acting all weird, talking about her precious Jack. Well, I don't trust the guy."

"I'll give you points for being smart in that one area, and that's it," Sasuke said, "Don't trust him."

"You-" Alice said, staring at him with wide eyes.

"Don't trust him. Whatever he's up to, it isn't good."

"So you're not that stupid after all," She said, in a very Lacie-esque tone.

"Neither are you. You've got a good head on your shoulders even though you act like a brat," Sasuke said, "Your sister, on the other hand...well, she's a total airhead."

"I'm quite aware of that. It's just Jack this and Jack that with her...Jack gave me a picture of Oz, Jack told me he'll come visit me in the Abyss, Jack taught me how to dance today. It becomes quite annoying after a while," Alice said, flipping her brown hair back with her fingers. "It's not often that I get to be in my own damned body."

The door opened then and Jack came in, followed by Gilbert, Vincent, and a scowling Oswald. "Now, Jack, I want to be sure you're not fooling around with Alyss, got it?"

Jack just scowled.

"Who is this again?" Gil said in a bored voice.

"This is Alice, she's a friend of mine," Jack said.

"If you're looking for my sister, she's down in the Abyss. I'm the actual Alice. I'm not a sissy airhead like my sister is." Alice said. She blinked as she looked at Vincent's eye. "Hey, his eye is red just like yours is, Duckass."

Upon hearing the term duckass, Vincent started to snicker slightly, but froze upon receiving a glare from the scary man. Gil immediately moved in front of his brother in an attempt to protect him.

"Hn, you're brothers, huh?" Sasuke muttered.

"Yeah, if you hurt my little brother, I'll be really mad!" Gil piped up.

Sasuke just smirked. "You're lucky. You've got a good older brother, not one that would ever hurt you."

The younger one was looking at him with curious eyes. "Your eyes are red too, Oniichan."

"Only when I want them to be," Sasuke remarked. Somehow, he could feel an odd kinship between himself and this boy. Was it because he was the younger brother being protected by the older brother, or was it merely because the younger one was an outcast? Either way, Sasuke was reminded jarringly of himself at a young age.

Though the younger seemed pretty innocent, just like Naruto was.

"What are their names again?" Sasuke said before flashing a glare at Jack.

Oswald flashed a glare at Jack, too, who backed away.

"This is Gilbert and Vincent Baskerville," Jack whimpered.

"Oh, so you're a member of the Baskerville family, just like me?" Alice said contemptuously.

"What's with all the dolls?" Gil asked.

"My sister's the one that likes them, not me. I like meat." Alice said.

The younger boy was looking at her with an odd look in his eyes.

"The other day, my sister was telling me that red eyes bring nothing but misery," She said before looking at Sasuke, "But after being with him, I can say it's nothing but a load of hooey."

Upon hearing this, the older one relaxed. The younger one almost looked hopeful, and then the black cat interfered, hissing at both of them, and at Alice. Cheshire didn't like Sasuke, either. The only person he liked was Alyss.

"Uh, come here, good kitty," Jack said. Instantly, the cat leapt onto his pant leg and started to scratch him. "AGHHH, GET OFF!" He cried.

Alice was trying hard not to laugh, while Oswald sighed and tried to pry the cat off of Jack.

"Get off, get off, get off!"

"Hn...dobe," Sasuke muttered. He just sat there and smirked, watching the blond do a very reminiscent Naruto-esque dance. But unlike Naruto, this blond was twisted.

"It was nice meeting you, Alice," Gil and Vince said, though they both looked happy.

The next day, Sasuke noticed that Alice seemed quite tense.

"Hey, Vincent!" She called.

Vincent looked up. "Yeah, what is it?"

"I heard Glen is going to kill your brother."

Sasuke just looked at them in alarm. 'What the hell?'

"You know, whenever Glen selects his next vessel. After he puts all his chains inside Gilbert, he'll kill him. That's what I heard," Alice said.

"That can't be!" Vincent cried, looking very upset.

"Who told you that?" Sasuke said.

Alyss flinched and then smiled. "Jack did. He said that."

'Jack again, huh?' Sasuke thought, 'Oh, boy, this can't be good.'

It was then at this moment that the ground started to shake, and there was an odd noise. Both Sasuke and Alice (now herself) were thrown back by the noise. "What was that?" Alice said, her purple eyes full of alarm.

"I don't know. It sounded like some gate somewhere being opened," Sasuke trailed off.

"This can't be. What does this mean?" Alice asked herself.

Sasuke opened his Sharingan eyes and decided to concentrate on the Abyssal energy. Since he had been connected to it for a while, he had bonded with it. He saw Jack standing in front of a door, smiling. He was looking up at something, smiling. Vincent was below him, unconscious.

"Oh, that's good, you're here. I've been waiting for you for a while, B-rabbit."

And then suddenly, Sasuke saw a huge black rabbit with red eyes peering down at Jack, wondering what he wanted with him. Sasuke realized with growing horror (and confusion) that this was Oz. Oz was somehow a real rabbit. Sasuke had seen odder things over the course of his life.

Jack just smiled and extended his hand. "I'd like you to become my chain...B-rabbit."

He watched as Oz paused. He knew the rabbit had sentience, but how much. The two of them grabbed hands (er, paws with a hand) and then Jack drank some of Oz's blood...eww...and then he saw Oz produce a scythe and slash through something.

Then at that moment, there was a huge crash, and the ground started to rumble beneath them.

"What's going on?" Alice cried, jumping to her feet, alarmed.

Sasuke jumped up, too. "I just saw something," He said, "Jack...he was talking to a black rabbit...and he touched his hand."

"A black rabbit?" She said in alarm. Her eyes widened. "Oz! Oz..." She muttered, her voice dropped down to a dead whisper. "Oh, no, what did she do?"

A while later, both Sasuke and Alice could hear the sounds of screaming people. It was not a pleasant sight. There were people being eaten by chains and attacked, it was all too reminiscent of the Konoha Village invasion and of the Uchiha massacre, Sasuke thought.

"Stay here," He ordered Alice as he investigated the disturbance.

He almost felt the urge to vomit, upon seeing all the dead people in the hallways. He saw little Vincent wailing his heart out.

Then he saw Oswald. "Jack, what is that?"

A huge black paw hit the ground menacingly as Oz the Black Rabbit moved before him. The rabbit's eyes widened as it caught sight of Sasuke. "Sasuke?" He whispered.

Sasuke heard the voice in his head. It appeared that Jack hadn't noticed. "Shall I introduce you to him? He is the chain I contracted with, B-rabbit Oz."

Oswald tensed. Obviously, he recognized that name. "So that's what you did, huh? You lured my niece into destroying the world for you. You're very lovable, Jack." Oswald said.

"It's too late, Glen. Lacie shall be getting her comeuppance," Jack said cheerfully.

A bunch of Baskervilles came running towards Jack, but Jack just paused, and said, "Oz."

The black rabbit flinched, and his scythe appeared in his hands. He came towards the men slowly.

"S-Stop it...I don't want to do this to them. I don't want to hurt them."

He watched as B-rabbit Oz slaughtered the Baskervilles in a gory way, by stabbing them with his chains, slicing them with his scythe...but there was something wrong...he was crying. Sasuke noticed. "Bastard..." He whispered.

Oswald seemed to notice, if that was any indication.

"I DON'T WANT TO KILL THEM! STOP, PLEASE! PLEASE, STOP!"

He could hear Oz moaning. It was heartbreaking.

Sasuke felt his loathing for Jack growing. Here he was forcing an innocent animal to kill. Sasuke wasn't exactly an animal lover, but even he could see that that was despicable.

It wasn't like the poor rabbit had done anything to deserve this sort of fate.

Well, at any rate, he had to hurry back to Alice.

"So that's what's going on? I can't allow that!" Alice said.

"What are you going to do?" Sasuke asked.

"I'm going to stop him." She said firmly, before she pulled on a white dress.

"Alice!" Jack cried as he ran into the room.

"Jack, you're covered in blood! What happened to you? Are you okay?"

He pushed aside her concern. "Alice, listen to me. I know you gave me the B-rabbit as a means of helping me destroy the world for Lacie, but there's been a problem. Glen has unleashed the black-winged monsters and they've drained Oz's power. Oz has no power left to cut the chains again, so I need you to give Oz more power, or else, Alice, grant me more power-Alice, no Intention of the Abyss-"

Sasuke couldn't help but smirk upon seeing Alice's cold stare. A cold, withering stare that would have made Orochimaru shiver. Truly, she was good at acting like an Uchiha, even though she wasn't. "That's how you toyed with Oz's soul, isn't it?" She said icily, before slapping Jack's hand away. "I was wondering what was going on. Sasuke told me some of the details. But Alyss won't tell me, so I have no choice but to ask you what you yourself did to Oz..." She said, her fists clenched.

Sasuke watched in alarm as her purple eyes were brimming with unshed tears. She was softly crying as she put her hands on over her ears. It was at that point that Sasuke noticed it again. He couldn't really cry, but he did feel pity for the creature.

"Can't you notice it? Or are you just that hard-hearted that you can't notice what you've done to him?" She spat.

"To who?" Jack said dumbly.

"To Oz! Isn't it obvious? Don't you hear him screaming and crying?"

Sasuke had already seen the black rabbit putting his hands on over his face in despair. Obviously, it was the first time this creature had ever enacted killing, and this creature had sentience to such a high degree that it despised murder.

"Truly admirable..." He muttered.

"I don't care what happens to it," Jack muttered and then slammed Alice down hard. "Show me the Intention of the Abyss! You're useless, get out of the way and let me see her!"

"I won't!" She cried.

"Alice, come on, please, answer me! I can't come get you because Alice is interfering! Alice!"

"Jack, you're gonna make Oz do that again? I won't let you!" Alice screamed. "You goddamned bastard! You asshole!"

"Get off of her!" Sasuke cried.

"Stay out of this," Jack cried.

"Alice, let me come over there!" Alyss chimed in.

"I will NOT!" Alice yelped.

"You always get your way. I'm doing it my way."

Sasuke noticed Alice's hand quiver. "Tell her no."

"I'm trying, Sasuke, but she's not listening," Alice moaned.

Sasuke picked up a kunai he had on his person and flung it at Jack's arm. Jack screamed in pain as blood trailed down his arm. Alice noticed a pair of scissors lying on the ground and she grabbed them.

"So you really think you'll get away with destroying the world and everyone in it?"

"All for the sake of your mother, Alice," Jack said shakily.

"I don't know," She said, pointing the scissors at her throat. "All I see is a coward. Oz..." She said.

Sasuke paused, wondering what was going on.

"Oz...you've been with me from the start. I've been quite happy to have you by my side. But even though you belong to both Alyss and I...you are mine. And that's why..." More tears came out of her eyes as she aimed the scissors closer to her throat.

Sasuke's eyes widened. No, he couldn't let this happen. "What do you think you're doing?" He cried.

"Thank you, both of you, but I'll PROTECT WHAT IS MINE!" She screamed as she punched the scissors into her throat and tore her lovely white dress, staining it with blood as she fell to the ground, dead...dead, dead, dead...dead...

"NO!" Sasuke cried.

He noticed how Jack looked catatonic and Oz was now sobbing even more.

"Alice, no...Alice...I was supposed to protect her...Alice, no!"

"Why'd she do something so stupid? I didn't want her to die!" Jack cried. "I-I...failed Lacie! I killed her daughter!" Jack cried.

"You...bastard," Sasuke snarled, charging at Jack, Mangekyo activated and wrestled with him. "Because of you, an innocent girl died."

Then he noticed Alice's arm grab Jack. Alyss was there. Then Alice appeared as a spirit (since Sasuke had his Sharingan, he could see everything) he watched with amazed eyes as she fused with Oz and kicked Oz into Jack's body, becoming B-rabbit herself, and then after that, everything went white for Sasuke.
