Thanks for the reviews! also just a bit of shameless self promotion, i have another story that im trying out called "Pain That I'm Used To"

Her chest rose up and down slowly as she was fast asleep. Angel couldn't help but watch the movement; her beauty amazed him and knew that he could spend all day like this.

His fingers trailed lightly over her stomach and up to her face then ran them through her hair, he smiled as she mumbled then flicked her eyes open to look at him.

"Hey, I was enjoying my sleep" Buffy smiled lazily up at him, she did love her sleep but waking up next to him was better. It had been a few weeks since Riley's incarceration allowing her to go back home without fear but it was just normal to spend her nights at his.

Angel came down to kiss her nose "Sorry" he could tell she wasn't annoyed by the look on her face "I'll be out most of today, competitions are coming up…" sadness flashed in her eyes for a brief moment, she had no plans today with college being closed.

Buffy pouted a little causing him to smirk "there's some free time if you want to come over and get practice in?" his hand slid down from her hair to her thigh, his touch burning her skin.

She eagerly arched against his touch, wanting to feel more "Yeah, I wouldn't mind…"

Buffy stifled a moan as his fingers worked on her, her hands scrunching up the sheets beside her. Angel rolled onto his back, he smirked at the frustration on her face as his touch left her "I gotta go" he shrugged a little as if it wasn't a big deal.

Buffy grunted in annoyance, there was no way he would work her up then leave without finishing. She climbed on top of him, her lips and tongue attacking his chest.

He had no intention of leaving straight away but winding her up brought out her dominant side, every now and again he loved her being in control.

She worked her way lower until her hand grasped him, taking him deep inside her mouth. His eyes rolled into the back of his head, her skilled mouth firing up his desire.

Buffy climbed up his body, impaling herself on him without any hesitation. His strong hands gripping onto her waist to increase her speed – he felt close to coming but held back until Buffy shuddered through her orgasm then let himself release.

His arms wrapped around her holding her close as they panted together, he knew he'd need to shower and leave soon but couldn't bring himself to move.

Buffy nuzzled her head against his neck, she had the same feelings as well – spending the day in bed sound like a fantastic plan however he had to work.

Angel rolled them over gently then left the bed heading for the shower, Buffy sunk into the mattress. It wasn't long before he emerged, slightly damp from the shower but had changed into his workout gear to leave for the day.

"I'll see you later" Buffy made her way over to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed him goodbye.

oooooooooooooo

Buffy pursed her lips together as the doorbell rang, Angel didn't say that he was expecting anyone to come by the house today.

Peering through the peep-hole she saw a young woman clad in leather, her wavy hair tumbling over her shoulders and a tattoo on her bicep "Hello?" she had no idea who this woman was; at first glance she seemed intimidating and not very friendly.

The brunette scowled at her she looked Buffy up and down, not liking the fact that someone was in his house – as far as she was aware he never let females stay over, let-alone be left unaccompanied.

Buffy shot her a look "Who are you?"

The woman smiled shrewdly, her head tilting to the side "I'm Faith and you?" her tone dripping with condescension. Buffy frowned; this girl was rude and maddening "Buffy"

"Hell B, tell me where my big brother is?" Faith smiled this time genuinely and pushed her way inside of his house, looking around the interior – her eyes finally falling on Buffy.

A sister? Angel hadn't mentioned anything about a sister, to be fair they hadn't discussed a lot about his past all she knew was that he was not on speaking terms with his parents and he hadn't seen them in years.

Buffy felt uneasy as she was being evaluated by his sister – even if they weren't close it was still a relation of Angels, someone who knew him well "He's out training, won't be back till later"

Faith nodded then went straight to the kitchen and helped herself to a beer, she watched as Buffy came in behind her then stood at the doorway, keeping some space between them "You and Angel knockin' boots?!" she chuckled at the horrified look that came across Buffy's face.

Faith shook her head then stopped as she noticed the Claddagh ring on Buffy's right hand.

It was a tradition in their family to present someone special with the Claddagh when things were getting serious; although they were young at the time she knew that he hadn't even given Anya that ring.

Buffy ran her fingers over her ring when she saw Faiths gaze drawn to it; she wanted to protect the ring and didn't like how she was staring at it "So B, how about we visit big brother?" Faith downed the rest of the beer waiting on a reply. Buffy nodded in silence then they left.

The walk to the training facility was made mostly in silence, Buffy felt self-conscious as she felt like she was being scrutinised with every movement she made but thankfully the journey didn't last for long.

"How long have you been with Angel?" Faith wanted to know more, he had went through many woman since he was a teen, every time it looked like it was progressing it would end suddenly before moving onto someone else.

Buffy calculated in her head, she didn't know exactly how long for as it had moved fast but they hadn't officially stated their relationship, they didn't have to as they spent most of their time together anyway.

"…A while" she felt relief as the facility came into sight, she didn't want to keep this conversation going. Faith raised her eyebrow in question but couldn't press as they had reached their destination.

A couple of boys made their way past them as they entered; Angel was facing away from them downing water from his bottle.

Faith ran up and jumped on his back surprising him, Angel spun around with her still on his back in shock. "Surprise" Angel stood in silence, he hadn't seen his sister in years and hadn't spoke to her in almost a year "Faith" a small smile spread across his face then he pulled her round for a hug.

He looked over to Buffy and his smile faltered, he'd never told her about his sister – not because he was ashamed it was just complicated "Buffy… this is my sister"

Buffy nodded to let him know that they had already met; he came over to her and kissed her. Faith watched the interaction intently; she could tell that he was in deep with her.

"What brings you back to Sunnydale Faith?" Faith looked around the facility then back at her brother "thought I'd drop by" it was a lie; she was here for a reason.

Angel sighed, she may be a good liar, brilliant in fact but she could never fool him "Right, so I know we've not spoke in a while or whatever… but I came by to ask you something" She held up her left hand to show off the massive rock on her ring finger "I'm getting married and I'd like you to be there"

Angel looked at the ring in awe, Faith was like him, a wild one, never one to settle down – she must have found someone who could tame her "Congratulations… who is he?"

Faith smirked "his name is Robin, he's a high school principle… could kick your ass!" she looked over at Buffy, seamlessly changing the conversation "I guess you'd be Angels date?"

Buffy stuttered a little, she didn't want to reply, sure things were going well but she didn't want to commit to anything serious just yet. Angel pulled her close, his eyes never leaving Faiths "She will be" Buffy was happy that he had answered for her.

"Good… lets grab something to eat" Faith strode passed them, leaving them alone. Angel's hand that was resting on her hip pulled her closer "Sorry, she can be…"

Buffy smiled up at him, not knowing his past hadn't bothered her before but with Faith showing up she had a lot of questions she wanted to know the answers too.

Buffy stayed quiet during their dinner, just letting the siblings speak to each other. It was evident that they hadn't spoken in a while; they discussed Robin and the plans for the wedding which would be held the week before Christmas.

The discussion left out their parents; neither of them brought them up and didn't feel the need too. They eventually made their way back to Angel's house, Faith occupied one of the spare rooms down the hall that had been cleared out and made into a second bedroom but wasn't shy about blaring music.

Angel closed his room door "Once you get to know her she's not that bad"

Buffy was sitting on the bed, her legs crossed beneath her feeling a little bit hesitant, Faith was loud and boisterous, a bit abrupt but she was his sister so would have to get to know her.

He came over to the bed and lay down beside her "…I should have told you about her" he placed a kiss on her thigh and smiled up at her as his head rested on her lap.

"You don't have to apologise… you don't have to tell me anything you don't want too" she stroked his hair soothingly, thinking it over she didn't want to know anything that wasn't important to their situation.

Buffy leaned over to give him a kiss, before it could progress they were interrupted "Whoa, not interrupting anything am I?" Faith wriggled her eyebrows at them suggestively "before I forget, I'll be leaving early in the AM, so don't expect me to be here"

Angel nodded at her in acceptance; Faith looked at them both before saluting them and closing the bedroom door.

Oooooooooooooo

Like the previous morning he was watching Buffy sleep, he had been woken up with Faith leaving at 5 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep.

He had been thinking over things, he knew about her past – after the situation with Riley she had explained more about her life living with her parents before she left for good. All the deep dark secrets she held she had willingly gave to him.

Buffy stirred from her slumber and ran her arm over his chest so she could snuggle into his side "Morning" Angel kissed her forehead in reply.

Angel stumbled up the stairs to his house and hammered on the door. After a few moments it was ripped wide open, his father glaring at him in rage "Not again!"

Colin grabbed Angel by the scruff of the neck and pulled him inside, every year for the past three years around the week of Anya's passing he would disappear then show up a few days later having drunk too much, barely able to mumble his own name causing all sorts of trouble.

Angel fell to the floor with an oomph, he tried to get back on his feet unsuccessfully and fell face first onto the cold floor.

"Stay back Faith!" he faced his daughter and held his hand out to hold her at bay; his wife came through to the entrance and pulled their youngest into the kitchen.

"You can't keep doing this; you'll end up hurting someone if not yourself again!" his eyes fell upon Angels pleadingly; he had to stop with the destructive behaviour, each year it got worse and worse.

Angel rolled his eyes, someone had already been hurt by his actions, not like it could get much worse "whatever" he eventually hauled himself up, holding onto the staircase.

"I'm going to bed" he tried to take the first step up the stairs but missed and fell yet again, Colin ran his hand over his hair and took a breath to calm down.

"Excuse me? Mr Aherne?" Colin faced the open door to be greeted by a police officer "I'm Detective O'Loughlin, I came to make sure your son is here?" the detective looked past the elder Ahearn to see Angel drooling on the stairs.

"What's the problem officer?" Colin glared back at his son then looked at O'Loughlin

"It seems there was a fight earlier… and some reporting's of property damage, couple of almost-serious injuries, he didn't instigate but Angel caused some problems" his eyes were sympathetic; he was the lead officer investigating the crash three years ago and knew why Angel was acting like this.

Colin cracked his knuckles, he was losing patience with the ridiculous behaviour that his son was showing, when he took a good look at Angel's hands they were cut and bloodied.

"Colin, I know what's causing this, I've let him off before and I'll let him off with a warning this time as well but anymore disturbances and he will be hauled downtown"

Angel saw his father nod and thank the officer, internally sighing with relief. He didn't want to spend the night in the cells or have a record against his name but he couldn't control his actions, it was like his body was taken over by someone else.

Colin closed over the door and rolled up his sleeves "You might be my son, but I'm not standing for this" he picked Angel up and pushed him, trying to intimidate him.

Angel laughed at the attempt "Can't take me old man" Colin punched Angel on the jaw, sending him stumbling backwards.

Hearing the commotion Elena came towards her husband and son as Angel punched his father back, their fight grew more violent "Stop this!" she moved over to separate the pair but caught her sons elbow on her face that threw her to the floor.

Angel's jaw dropped, he didn't mean to hit his mother "Mom… I…" before he could finish Colin had grabbed him and threw him against the wall, kneeing him in the stomach then threw him down the front steps, narrowly avoiding the door that barely made it open.

Colin rushed over to his wife and tipped her head up to see the damage, from the immediate bruising and misalignment of her nose, it showed there was a fracture. His blood boiled that she had gotten hurt.

Elena grabbed her husband's hand to stop him from going after Angel, it couldn't have been avoided "No, Colin!" her hazel eyes pleaded with her husband's to not retaliate, not just for his sake but also for her sons too.

Angel looked up at his father as he stood on the top step, his eyes unforgiving "You're not welcome here; this was the final straw Angel, You're a disappointment to us…"

He turned to go back inside "if I see you again, I'll put you in the hospital" he slammed the door and the locks turned. There was yelling between his parents that he couldn't make out, before a smash of something being broken silenced everything.

Angel still hadn't moved he just let the tears run down his face, he hadn't cried for years, not even at her funeral, only 'that' day she did.

He knew that this was the last straw; he pushed himself to his feet, his body aching from the fight- he made his way to Spikes house to sleep off this nightmare of a night.
