Chapter 11: Rising up against the odds
"Good morning everyone." Esme said cheerfully as everyone woke up to the smell of eggs and duck wings. "I woke a=early so I decided to hunt carefully and made breakfast for you all I hope you enjoy." Esme continued as she handed everyone a piece of bark as thaey thank and smiled at her. Esme sat next to Carlisle who ut her arms around her and murmured in her ear "You didn't have to do this my love don't work too hard I don't you faint like yesterday rest love please." Carlisle asked her kindly Esme smiled "I'm fine I promise and this time I will tell you if I'm unwell." Esme said kissing him before feeding him a piece of egg "When will we be heading out to a new hideout I mean we have been here for 2 months now so we should leave we have been hiding out away from the careers and they are getting close to us." Rosalie stated worriedly as they ate "After breakfast Rose." Carlisle informed before eating again before talking "I think we'll walk until we find a perfect place for camp and remember no fires." They all nodded and Renesmee sat next to Esme "Ness today Rosalie is going to be your minder while us guys carry the bags and Esme since you're still e feeling uneasy you will stay close to Carlisle and tell when you are feeling funny ok." Emmett informed them they all nodded and continue to finish their enjoyable breakfast that Esme had made.
"Ready." Carlisle asked everyone as everybody got up "Yes" Esme answered holding his hand the caved erupted quietly with awws as thy shared a sweet short kiss. "Ok Nessie, lets go." Rosalie said as Nessie took Rosalie's hand "Yep." she replied before looking at Carlisle and Esme who were whispering sweetly in each other ears "They are in love aren't they Rosie." Said as they began to climb down the cavern and started to walk down the dirt path. As they made their way through the dense woodlands. "You ok Essie?" Carlisle asked as he moved through the rough bushes. "I'm abit thirsty." she answered "Ok my Darling." he answered before pulling out one of their many bottles of water and giving it to his love "Thanks" Esme smiled before kissing him squarely on the lips "Come on you two." Emmett jokily scolded they smiled and held each others hands as the continued along the road.

"Quick in the tree!" Emmett exclaimed quietly as they heard the Careers voices nearing them thay quickly climbed the trees around them with Nessie sticking with Rosalie and Emmett. In two trees were Carlisle and Esme and Jasper and Alice while across from them were Emmett, Nessie, Rose, Leah and Seth. "It is going to be ok Es I promise." Carlisle whispered in her hair Esme smiled and nodded against his chest as they heard the careers voices below them "I heard their voices thet should be here." Mike angrily muttered as they searched for them "I really want to get that pretty one the one they call Esme yes I just want to snap that pretty petite neck of hers." Lauren snickered evily making Carlisle's grip on Esme tighten "Shhh" Esme whispered reassuringly as they continued to watch and listen to the careers. "We will just camp here tonight they will be around somewhere." Jessica told them as they began setting up camp.
"Looks like we are stopping here for the night." Carlisle said quietly said to Esme she nodded while watching Carlisle tie himself to the branch before gesturing to her to lie on top of him which she did almost immediately "It's going to be ok Esme." Carlisle whispered as he gently traced patterns on her back "Lets think and talk about the happy times." Carlisle suggested lightly while continuing his actions "Ok... The night when we you know expressed how we felt about each other that was one of the most memorable and has to be one of my favorite memories to this day." Esme said blushingly lightly "Oh I rememberthat night extremely well that was one of the best nights of my existence asit was the most amazing nights of my life as well it was perfect tobe in the arms with the love of my life was just perfect for me." Carlisle happily murmured while running his fingers throuh her thick tressels of caramel hair while she gently played with the buttons on his shirt before too long the fell asleep in each others arms a thing that they would want to doevery single night or the rest of their lives.
"Esme"Carlisle whispered to Esme as she began to stir and fully woke up " Good Morning what is wrong?" Esme asked as she kissed him gently "There is a traker jacker hive just there and with your expert skills I think you can aim and knock that hive down and get oneof the careers." Carlisle told her "Yeah but they attack whoever attacks them I could hurt you or anyone else for that matter." Esme expressed "Don't worry love I willwake them up and we will slide down and run well they will I will wait for you ok." Carlisle replied Esme nodded and watched quietly as Carlisle threw a piece of bark at Emmett's held montioned what he had planned Emmett nodded and woke the others up quietly and making sure the careers were not awoken. The girls woke quickly and hopped on the boys back while Nessie was samwiched in between Rosalie and Emmett. "Ok ready Es." Carlisle as she aimedher arrow towards the hive "1...2...3." He counted as Esme let go held to Carlisle and the pair quickly followed in suit of the others.
Meanwhilr the Careers were aburptly woken to the sounds of buzzing and stigging they bolted away but Lauren Malloreywas unlucky as the swarm of insects attacked her until she was no longer moving. While they running they beelined passed the Cornucopia as Esme looked she saw glimpses of belonging that she knew belonged to the careers she ran with Carlisle while thinking of explaining and planning a way to get those equipment, food and water and hopefully some warm clothing. "Carlisle." Esme spoke "Yes Princess." He replied "I have a plan well an idea." she whispered to him.
