I was thinking about what to wear, when I realized I had no other clothes than the ones I got from the Earth Kingdom village; white shirt, red leggings, white shoes. I realized that this wasn't the best outfit to climb in, but it was too late now.
I walked out of camp, meeting everyone else already packed up, waiting for me at Appa. Most of the group sat on the other side of where Zuko was sitting, but Yoake was trying to make peace by sitting between the two groups. I climbed onto Appa, sitting right next to Zuko. Aang took the reins, and we flew off. We came to a small restaurant, one that Aang must of been familiar of, because he acted like he'd been here before. We landed, and walked inside.
There wasn't much to see. It looked like a regular place to eat. Chandeliers, small, round tables covered in a tablecloth. We ordered a table for seven, and sat down. It was extremely awkward at first, considering no one talked for most of the time. I didn't talk, either. I didn't have anything to say. Aang refused to look me in the eye, because of the dispute that happened before. I didn't know what to do. It was just silent.
When we ordered our food, the fun began. Sokka fortunately ordered tuna fish, and as soon as it came out Yoake started panicking. She never liked tuna fish. At all. Covering her nose with the neck of her shirt, she frantically waved her hand, trying to get the smell of the fish away from her.
"AAAAAAH! GET IT AWAY! GET IT AWAAAY!" This made Katara start to laugh. Then Aang. Then Zuko. And yes, although it was Sokka's fish, he began to laugh too. So everyone laughed in the end. Just as one, big, happy family. And right then and there, all of the disputes were settled.
We rode back on Appa, all laughing about how Yoake reacted to the tuna fish. Yoake wasn't particularly happy with the comical idea, but she was at least happy that everyone wasn't angry at each other anymore. Aang apologized for getting angry earlier, and I insisted that it wasn't his fault.
"I shouldn't of pushed you," I said. "It was my fault."
We all settled back into our little camp in the woods. Instead of separating into the two groups that we usually form, no one seemed to notice that we were all evenly spaced out around the fire. We all started talking about how crazy it was that we even thought about not letting Zuko in. He obviously changed. He's obviously a different person. At least, on the outside. But after we fell asleep, as soon as morning cameā¦
That all changed.
