Hey readers! What's up? Yeah, I've been gone for a long time. For a while there, I was working 3 jobs, preparing for a move across the country, traveling for a wedding, and trying to catch with family and friends before the move. Well, now I've moved, but grad school starts in less than a week and I already have two jobs. So, these updates are going to be few and far between.

I do still appreciate reviews! I thrive off of them.

This is not beta-ed. I literally just finished writing this and wanted it posted. All mistakes are my own. But this is quite a lengthy treat!

Disclaimer: I do not own OUAT or ABC or any character within. Except Gwen and Kyra. Those I'll claim.

Regina was first to walk into her office where Kyra still laid asleep. Realizing that the girl would most likely freak out when she woke up, the brunette went to sit at her desk. Emma attempted to follow her, but changed course when Kyra started to stir.

"Gina, I think she's starting to wake up." The blonde whispered as she grabbed an extra chair to move it next to the couch. Just as she sat straddling the chair backwards, Kyra's eyes fluttered open. Regina quickly moved to kneel next to the couch.

"Hey there, sunshine. Glad you could join us." Emma said.

"Wh-where am I?" The younger brunette tried to sit up to figure out her surroundings. Nothing looked familiar to her.

"Hold on there, kiddo. You need to take it easy for a bit." Emma tried to gently push her back down to the pillow.

"What happened? Why do I feel like I've just been hit by a truck?" Kyra laid her head back down on the pillow. Regina and Emma looked at each other, mentally deciding who was going to talk to her.

"Well, sweetie, what exactly do you remember?" The older brunette asked.

"Um, I remember walking into the pawn shop because I got lost trying to get to Henry. And I remember asking for directions and you both were there with Gwen. And I remember a bright flash of light but that's about it."

"Okay, we're going to keep this a bit simplified for you then. This town, Henry's hometown, is very special. What you saw was magic and it was produced by our daughter. She sensed that you were scared and she tried to save you from one of the other people in the room. We're really sorry that you had to experience this firsthand."

"It's okay. Really. I mean, not that I have to feel like this right now, but the fact that it was me. Henry already told me about his families powers. Who was that woman in the corner though? She looked really familiar and her facial expression made me think that she was hallucinating or something."

"I don't know what that would've been for. We were nervous about what she would do to you, but I will agree that she did seem a little off when you walked in. It was like she was stunned. Anyway, Kyra, why do you seem so unfazed by the mention of magic?"

"Are you sure you really want to know that? It's not exactly a great story."

"Honey, if you don't want to tell us, that's fine. Just know that we're here for you. We will gladly listen to anything you would like to say."

"Okay, just don't think I'm crazy. Please. When I was younger, moving around from foster home to foster home wasn't exactly the greatest. But there was one home where I felt the most comfortable with. What was weird though was that they were desperately trying to find out who my birth parents were. To this day, I still only have a partial picture of my mother. No name. No address. Nothing. But what I do know, and I really don't understand how I know this is that she wasn't from this land. I never really knew what that meant until I met Henry and when he told me about his family just a few months ago. So, as you can see, my background is fairly odd."

"Dear, it's anything but odd. It actually sounds completely normal. For one who was born and grew up in the Enchanted Forest, that's not unusual at all."

"But how would I know that my mother is from another land?"

"It took me awhile to believe it, too, but then again, Henry kinda dragged me into it." The blonde mentioned.

"Have you ever had an abnormal experience? Maybe just something little that you've noticed? More than likely, if you are experiencing something magical outside of Storybrooke, you may not see it but definitely feel it."

"Yeah, I guess you could say that I have. Whenever I hold her picture, I always feel like she's trying to tell me something."

"That's a good indicator. I just don't know if we'll be able to find her here. There were only so many people that made it over to Storybrooke from the Enchanted Forest."

"That's okay. I've made peace with not knowing who my mother is but I just know she has to be here somewhere." Kyra stopped talking and looked absently to the floor.

"Well, Kyra, why don't we take you up to see Henry now? I'm sure you're dying to see him."

"Yeah, that would be great. I think I can get up. I don't feel as bad as I did."

Regina and Emma helped Kyra off the couch and out of the office. The older women on either side of the younger. Kyra seemed to be doing just fine on her own but there could still be a chance that she would unexpectedly lose the stability in her legs. Thankfully, that wasn't the case and she made it to Henry's bedroom without a problem. The blonde and brunette allowed Kyra to enter the room on her own and left their son and his girlfriend to themselves.

"So, honey, that didn't go horribly. What do you say to getting Gwen real quick for a bedtime snack and then put her down? I think we deserve an early end to the day considering all that has happened. Henry will be fine with Kyra here." The blonde was trying to persuade her brunette wife to just relax. Easier said than done.

"We need to make sure that Kyra gets settled in and-" Emma quickly turned to Regina, lightly gripping each side of her shoulders.

"Hold that thought. I know you feel obligated to welcome people, take care of their every need and still make sure that your family has everything too. Today has been extremely eventful and for the little bean growing inside you, it can get quite stressful very quickly. So, let's try this again. We're going to get Gwen a bedtime snack and put her down for, hopefully, a very long, restful sleep all through the night. Then we are going to say good night to our son and his girlfriend and go to bed ourselves. Got it?" The blonde's emerald eyes were staring straight into the chocolate brown of her wife's.

"Yes, dear." Regina replied with a crooked smirk. The one that only Emma is ever able to witness. "Whatever you say."

The playful smirk was not lost on Emma. She figured Regina might have something up her sleeve like she normally does, but, then again, they're both rather exhausted.

"Thank you." The blonde pulled the brunette towards her for a chaste kiss. "Alright, let's go."

To say that the following morning was rather exciting might have been an understatement.

Regina was almost incapable of actually leaving the bathroom because of how horrible the nausea was. Gwen decided that 5am was a perfectly normal time to be awake and running through the house. Emma had discovered that Kyra had indeed fallen asleep next to Henry and they both looked as if it would take a bullhorn to wake them. Which, on this particular morning, may not have been such a bad thing. Between the attempts to contain Gwen's wild energy and taking care of her sick wife, the doorbell just had to ring. Emma stopped dead in her tracks and just starred at the staircase leading down to the front door. She then heard her wife weakly yelling from the en suite bathroom.

"Emma, will you please get that? I am in no way prepared for any visitors at the moment."

"Yes, baby. I'll get it. You just relax. I'm calling the doctor today, by the way." Emma started to head down the stairs but she could faintly hear Regina's grumbling response.

Opening the door, she definitely did not expect to see her mother and father.

"Mom. Dad. What are you doing here?"

"Honey, we heard about the altercation last night and we just had to make sure that you were okay. How is everyone?"

"Well, honestly, Gwen is so full of energy, I have no idea what to do with her. Regina is quite sick at the moment. I… uh… I think she caught a stomach bug of some sort. And Henry and his girlfriend, Kyra, who just arrived last night, are still sleeping. Oh, and you can probably see that I have not yet been able to put on some real clothes yet." Emma had just realized that she was standing in her front doorway in just underwear and a tank top. She also just barely got by with mentioning that Regina had a stomach bug instead of what her actual ailment is at the moment.

"Wow. Well, we do know that this family never has a dull moment. Emma, honey, why don't we take Gwen for the day. That way you can help Regina and not have to worry about a four year old."

"Mom, you have no idea how I'd really like to take you up on your offer, but after last night, I'm not sure if we really want Gwen to go very far away from us."

"Emma. We're Snow White and Prince Charming. How many more qualifications do we need?"

"Okay. I know. But did you really hear what happened last night? Or just the fact that something went down and, inevitably, it just happened to be us that were involved?"

Snow looked to Charming and then back to Emma. "Umm… the latter."

"Right. Well, long story short, Maleficent tried using our daughter as bait last night while she was having a magic lesson with Gold. Regina and I fought but then Kyra walked in, Gwen knocked her out, we sent Maleficent back to her little hole in the ground and then came back here with an unconscious Kyra in tow."

"Why didn't you call us, Emma? We could've helped."

"Yes, please. Why don't you come to a magic fight without magic, because that totally makes sense. Please, Mom, be real. I already had to protect Regina and Gwen from the stupid wench, I sure didn't need to add my parents to that list. What happened, happened. Alright? It's over. Regina and I are discussing what we're going to be doing about Maleficent. However, it's not like we can just call her up and make her a deal. We'll figure it out."

"We know you can figure it out, honey. We just want to be there to help you. Wait, why did Regina need you to protect her? She has magic too." Emma stared at her mother like a deer in headlights.

"Uhh… I always feel like I need to protect her. She's my wife. Of course I'm going to protect her."

"Yes, Emma, that may be true, but that's not the real reason, is it?"

"Okay. Maybe not. Her magic has just been a little wonky lately and very unpredictable. So, we don't really know when she has control and when she doesn't."

"Uh huh. Okay." Snow could read her daughter very well and she knew that there was more to this story than she was letting on. "I'll just go get Gwen packed for the day. You can chat with your father."

"Thanks, Mom." Emma and her father watched as her mother went up the stairs to collect Gwen and her things. "Dad, I'm sorry. We just don't really have the slightest idea of why Maleficent is back now."

"I hope that things can get figured out for you soon, Emma. Whatever is really going on with Regina, it seems as though your personal protection of her just skyrocketed. Spill. You've got about two minutes before your mother is back down here."

"Jeez, Dad. Fine, okay." The blonde glanced towards the staircase to be sure it was empty, then turned back to her father and whispered. "Regina is pregnant. We don't really want anyone to know though, so please don't tell Mom. Her history with pregnancy is not so great and she really wants to make it past the first trimester before anybody knows. You really can't tell Mom, okay?"

"Okay, Emma. I won't tell your mother. But, if she figures it out, I'm not going to lie to her."

"That's fine. Thanks, Dad." Right then was when Emma heard little feet running down the stairs.

"Momma! I get to go with Gramma Snow! We're gonna go see Granny." The miniature blonde came bounding down the steps and didn't stop until she hit her blonde mother's legs.

"Mom, there are other places than just Granny's."

"Yes, honey, there are. But Gwen likes it so much, who am I to deny my only granddaughter what she wants."

"Touché."

"Okay. Who is ready for a day of fun?" Snow asks.

"Me, me, me. I am." Gwen still had so much energy. Emma knew this was probably the best thing for everyone at the time. She also knew that she couldn't keep sending her kid with her parents when things were getting difficult. Gwen and her grandparents were just about down the steps to walkway towards the front gate when Emma quickly stopped them.

"Hey, Mom. Dad. Uh… thanks for watching Gwen today. I know it seems like we've been pawning her on you whenever we felt like it, but just trust me when I say that this really helps matters. Regina and I really appreciate it. With her being sick and Henry recovering from the accident, it's kind of hard watching a four year old too. So, uhh… thank you." Snow walked back up to the front door to her blonde daughter, leaving her husband and granddaughter to get into the jeep.

"Emma, a lot of things have been happening lately and we can see that it's been a little overwhelming. Gwen is going to be fine with us for a while. And your son has his girlfriend here now so he doesn't need you all the time. You need to go take care of your wife. In sickness and in health, remember?"

"Thanks, Mom." Emma leaned in to give her mother a hug. Both women's eyes were brimming with unshed tears.

"Okay. I think I should let you get back to your wife so I can go have some fun with my granddaughter." Snow turned quickly to walk back down the walkway and to the jeep that was waiting for her.

Emma thanked every higher power for giving her the incredible family she has finally received.

Walking back into the master bedroom, Emma could hear her brunette wife's quiet sobs coming from the en suite bathroom. Immediately drawn to her side, the blonde wrapped her arms around the other woman's shoulders hoping to give a little comfort.

"Babe, we need to talk about this. There is no way possible that your morning sickness was this bad before. This is insane."

"Yes, Emma. I am well aware. I would appreciate you, however, not saying anything that I am associated with is insane or crazy. I will not handle it well." For a moment, Emma thought the Evil Queen had returned. "I don't know why this is so bad. This is just my punishment for finally getting my happy ending. I have to suffer through the process."

"No, Regina. That is not it. Look at me. Please." Emma paused momentarily waiting for her wife's chocolate eyes. They seemed to be lacking the luster they once had. "You have changed. This life. The one you are living this very moment was created for you, by you. And maybe a little by me. But this is very real. This is our happiness. What is the one thing that you've always wanted? The one thing that you were still looking for even through the darker years?"

"A family." Regina responded.

"Exactly. A family. Gina, honey, you are married to someone who can barely let you out of her sight. You have a son and a daughter that love you unconditionally. And even though it's hard to admit, you have in-laws that would do whatever it takes to make you happy." The blonde pulled her hand from the brunette's face to place it on her wife's hand covering the small magical baby bump. "And you have this little one growing inside you that was created from pure true love. We just have to get through a few obstacles, but we can do that together. We can do anything together, remember?"

"Yes, darling. I remember. I love you so much."

"I love you too." Emma replied leaning in for a kiss before Regina quickly pulled away.

"Sorry. Vomit breath."

"Ew. Yeah. How do you feel about brushing your teeth?" The blonde said while standing up.

"Sounds great." Regina responded, grabbing Emma's hand to help her to her feet. "Then maybe you and I can discuss what we're going to do for a nursery." The blonde froze upon hearing that. The brunette just smirked knowing that she had caught her wife off guard as she continued to the bathroom sink.

"Okay. You always say things like that and it makes me want to do the same to you. Oh, yeah, I think my mom has an idea of why you're sick." Regina froze at this. "And my dad knows. So, we should probably have them over for dinner."

"Excuse me." Regina said as she turned toward the blonde behind her.

"Uh, yeah. Dad knows. I don't know how he knew, but he did. I made him promise not to tell Mom. To let us tell her sometime soon. When you were ready, ya know. But he did say that if she guessed correctly, he wasn't going to lie to her. So, the sooner the better for dinner, right?"

"Emma! How could you?! I thought we specifically decided to wait until after the first trimester. If she finds out and something happens, I don't know how I'd be able to live with that Emma! This can't be happening right now." Regina was spiraling downward quickly.

"No, no, no. Regina. Nothing is going to happen. We will go see the doctor on Monday, but we do need to tell them sooner than later. If not, Mom's just going to be snooping around for information."

"Fine. Just promise me that we'll do it together. No telling her or anybody else by yourself. It's really unfair that you told your dad."

"Well, I won't argue with that."

"Okay. Now about the nursery."

After the long nursery conversation where nothing really got resolved, Emma and Regina finally emerged from their bedroom. Henry had requested a late breakfast, which with three women in the house, shouldn't have been a problem. Kyra, of course, made him some pancakes before Regina could even step foot into the kitchen.

Emma had called her parents to invite them over for dinner. First, she wanted them to meet Kyra. Secondly, Regina had agreed that it was time to tell her in-laws about the baby. Even if it did seem a little early and she was having some horrible morning sickness. Snow would've guessed soon enough.

The Charmings brought Gwen back home for dinner around 6pm. They were surprised to see Regina answer the door and Emma cooking. Usually, it's the other way around. Henry had managed to make it downstairs for dinner with everyone and Kyra was setting the table.

"Dinner's ready everyone. Take your seats." Emma announced as she brought the last of the entrée dishes to set on the dining room table. She took her seat next to Regina's at the head of the table.

"Thanks for inviting us for dinner, Emma. This looks great." Snow said.

"Well, it was actually Regina's idea. We just thought it would be nice to catch with everything that's happened lately and to thank you for watching Gwen so often. Also, Henry wanted you to meet Kyra." Emma responded. She was simultaneously scooping portions of their meal onto plates for Gwen and Regina.

"Yes, well, thank you. Watching Gwen is a lot of fun, isn't it Gwennie?"

"Mmhm." Gwen nodded.

"So, Kyra. Where did you meet Henry?" Everyone had started eating.

"We took the same English class last winter and we were put into the same group for a project. I guess it was just meant to be." Kyra replied.

"Yes, it must've been." Snow was suddenly reminding Regina of Cora and her interrogating ways. Hopefully Snow wasn't going to take this too far. "Are you from the area?"

"Sort of. I don't really know where exactly I'm from. I grew up in foster care."

"Oh, I'm sorry, sweetie. I always have a heavy heart when I hear that. Emma actually grew up in foster care too. I certainly wished she hadn't, but I'm not sure I'd change the past even if I'd had the chance to." Both Emma and Regina's jaws dropped. Not in a million years would they have expected that to be said by Snow White. Yes, they've definitely come a long way since the end of the curse, but everything had not been forgiven. Or at least that's what they thought.

"Yeah, Henry actually told me that. I thought it was kinda cool that I might be able to talk to someone about being in the system and them actually understanding exactly what I mean." There was a slight pause. Charming then cleared his throat and looked to Emma as if he was telling her to say something.

"If you need to talk Kyra, I'm here for ya." Emma finally found her words.

"Well, Emma. I meant to ask you when we first got here. Do you have any plans for tomorrow? There is a really good sale going on for jeans and sweaters and shoes. Just was wondering if you'd like to go with me?"

"Uh, yeah. I mean, it's totally up to Regina since we have so much going on." Emma looked to her wife with pleading eyes.

"Yes, dear. You can go shopping with your mother." The brunette said.

"Thank you! Awesome. So, tomorrow around 9?"

"Yes, that sounds perfect."

"Okay. So, another reason that we invited you to dinner tonight was because we have something to tell you." Emma reached out to hold Regina's hand on the table. The brunette was watching her wife, not really being able to look at Snow just then. "Gwennie, would you like to tell Gramma Snow and Grampa? Remember that secret that you got to tell Henry?"

Gwen nodded her head. She quietly got down from her seat and walked over to stand next to Snow. Charming was sitting just on the other side of Snow. Gwen looked back to her mother's, making sure that it was truly okay and for some more encouragement.

"Go on, baby. You can tell Gramma Snow." Regina gently said.

"Gramma?" Gwen asked.

"Yes, Gwen?"

"I'm going to be a big sister." Gwen said quickly but very cheerfully.

It was Snow's turn for a jaw-dropping moment. She looked to Emma and then Regina and then back to Gwen. She had thought that she was certain that Emma and Regina wouldn't have any more kids. Not because they didn't want to, but because of medical reasons for both of them.

"You… you're pregnant?" Snow asked, looking to her blonde daughter.

Emma nodded her head in confirmation, then corrected herself. "Well, not me. Regina is actually."

The next thing everybody heard and saw was Snow fainting and falling onto the floor right next to Gwen, who had luckily moved just enough out of the way.

Please, please, please review. I miss my readers. Maybe if I got enough reviews, I'd have another chapter before the end of the week...
