"Are you going to Lemon's birthday party?" Zoe asked Wade as they walked home from school
"Yeah, probably. There's always good food at the Breelands."
"That's true" she laughed "What are you going to get her?"
"Pssh, I don't know. Mom will pick something out and I'll just sign the card."
"Did Mom pick out my gift too?" she asked insulted
"No, I did. You're easy to shop for. Lemon is not."
"True again." she laughed as the stopped at the practice. "Thanks for walking with me. I'll see you tomorrow." she smiled went into the building

"Happy 13th Birthday Lemon." Zoe said walking into the Breeland House
"Thank you Zoe, you can put my gift over there and everyone is in the basement. I was just going to get more chips."
"Alight" she smiled and went downstairs. "Hey guys" she waved to everyone
"Hey Zoe" they all greeted
She looked for an empty place to sit and there was one spot next to George, on the couch.
"Hey" she smiled
He returned her smile "Hey Zoe, you look nice."
Zoe giggled "Thanks, so do you."
Wade rolled his eyes at Zoe and George and made a mental note to make fun of them later. Lemon came down the stairs with a bag of chips and a wine bottle.
"Lemon, why do you have a bottle of wine?" Annabeth asked
"It's empty Annabeth. We are going to play spin the bottle." she informed her friends. Everyone got awkward and looked around at each other. "Well don't just stand there, sit in a circle on the floor in boy girl order." They followed her directions and sat on the floor. Lemon placed the bottle in the middle of the circle and sat down in between Wade and Jake. "I will spin the bottle to see who gets to spin first." she laughed. She spun the bottle and the whole room held their breath until the bottle stopped on Wade. "You go first Wade."
"Ugh, fine." he sighed and spun the bottle. Now all the girls held their breath, not wanting to be the first one. As the bottle slowed down everyone watched it intently and then it landed in between Zoe and George. "Oh heck no, I ain't kissing Tucker." he said
"Well it's in between him and Zoe and so you have to kiss Zoe then."
Wade and Zoe both cringed at the thought but kissed anyway. The kiss lasted less than a second and they went back to their spots. It was now Zoe's turn, she spun the bottle and watched it as it spun. She had to hide her smile when it landed on George. All the kids whispered and squealed because they all knew they had crushes on each other. Zoe and George leaned in and kissed for longer than necessary. It took Wade's "Get a room" to break them apart. They both blushed and looked away from each other. George took his turn and it landed on Annabeth. It went around a few more times and when it was Wade's turn again it landed on Zoe, again.
That means you have to kiss for 5 seconds." Annabeth informed them
"What?" Zoe asked in disgust
"Those are the rules." she laughed
They followed the rules and kissed while their friends counted down. They then heard the door open and scattered around the room. Lemon threw the wine bottle under the couch and ran to the stairs.
"You kids having fun?" Alice asked
"Yes" they all replied and continued their made up conversations
"If you need anything, let me know." she smiled and went back up the stairs
Lemon turned the music back up "Back to your spots. The game isn't over until everyone kisses everyone once."
"That could take forever." Jake complained
"My party, my rules." she snapped and sat back down in her spot. Everyone did as they were told and Wade grabbed the bottle from under the couch. "It's Zoe's turn."
Zoe spun the bottle and it landed on Hank. They continued the game and everyone had almost kissed everyone else. Jake landed on Zoe and it was her turn again. She only had to kiss Jeremiah and the game would be over. She spun and it landed on Wade for a fourth time.
"Ugh really? Zoe asked "Let me guess 20 seconds now?"
"Yep but now you have to use tongue." Lemon told her
Their jaws dropped "We have to use what?" Zoe asked in disbelief
"Seriously Lemon?" Wade asked "It's bad enough I've had to kiss her 3 times already, now you're adding tongue."
"Hey, am I that bad?' she asked
"No, but you're like my sister, this is getting gross."
"You're wasting time and my mom will be back any minute for cake." Lemon yelled
Zoe and Wade rolled their eyes and moved towards each other. They kissed slowly, trying to figure out how this worked. Zoe had no idea what she was doing and Wade only heard a little bit from Jesse. He figured she had no idea so he made the first move and Zoe soon followed. They listened to their friends countdown and couldn't wait for it to be over. When they finally hit zero they pulled apart quickly and then heard the door open again.
"Cake time." Alice yelled down the stairs and they all went running up.
They sang Happy Birthday, had cake and then it was time to go. Some parents came to pick up their kids but most of them just walked home by themselves. Wade and Zoe were walking towards her house in silence.
Wade decided to speak up. "Ya know I've never kissed anyone before tonight."
"I know, me either. I'm sure that was obvious."
"Nah, you were pretty good. Best one there at least." he laughed
"That's gross Wade."
He laughed "I'm just telling the truth."
"How did you know how to french?"
"I didn't really. All I knew was what Jesse has told me. Which wasn't much." Zoe just shrugged. "How was your kiss with Tucker?" he laughed and shoved her a bit
"Shut up! I was so nervous, he'll probably never want to kiss me again."
"You kidding? He likes you and I know for a fact he wants to kiss you again."
"He does?" her face lit up like a Christmas tree
"Yeah, just needs to get up the courage to ask you out."
"He told you all that?" she was still smiling
Wade laughed "Yeah, told him you loved him and want to have his babies."
"Wade!" she yelled and shoved him off the sidewalk
"I'm kidding. I told him to just go for it."
"Thanks" she smiled "I'll see you at church tomorrow." she waved and walked into her house

"I hope George Tucker asks me to the Junior Sweetie Pie dance on Friday." Lemon gushed during gym class
"Since when do you like George?" Annabeth asked looking over at Zoe
"Umm since he kissed me at my party. It was just so special."
"He kissed everyone at your party and so did you. Were any of them special?" Zoe laughed
"Yes Zoe, that one was. Didn't you feel anything different between the kisses?"
"No" she lied thinking about her kiss with George as well
"Not even Wade?" Lemon teased
"Ewww, that's gross. He's like my brother."
Later that day Zoe was sitting in the cafeteria when George came walking over.
"Hey Zoe" George smiled as he sat down next to her
"Hi George, What's up?" she smiled back
"Um, I was uh...wondering if you would uh go with me to the dance on Friday?"
Zoe smiled and nodded her head "I would love too."
"Really?" he asked super excited
"Yeah, I was kinda hoping you would ask me."
"Oh" he smiled "Well I'm glad I got to you before the rest of the guys."
Zoe just laughed and turned a deep shade of red
"Hey guys" Wade said sitting down across from them. "Did I interrupt something? Zoe you look like a tomato." he laughed and Zoe kicked him under the table. "Ow" he laughed but that didn't stop him. "George, you finally ask her out?" Zoe kicked at him again but he had already pulled his legs up onto the chair.
"Actually yeah I did. We're going to the Junior Sweetie Pie dance." he told him
"Awww, that's so cute." Wade mocked
"Shut up" Zoe leaned across the table and punched him in his shoulder
"Ow, stop beating me?" he laughed
"Who are you going to go with?" George asked
"No one, I probably won't even go."
"Your mom is in charge of it. She'll make you go." Zoe piped in
"Not if I fake an illness." he smirked "I don't do dances. I guarantee you I will not be at prom."
Zoe and George just rolled their eyes. Zoe started to get nervous when AB, Lemon and Jake came over to the table. She knew this wasn't going to end well.
"Hi George" Lemon waved and sat next to him "Are you going to the dance on Friday?"
"Yeah I am" he smiled "Are you?"
"Oh probably." she answered trying to sound casual
"That's good." he nodded
"Tucker's taking Zoe" Wade told them and got another kick from Zoe "Ow, stop!"
"What?" Lemon asked in disbelief. She was probably the only one who didn't believe Zoe and George really liked each other.
Annabeth just smiled and Jake nodded at George "Nice" he smirked at his friend
Lemon shot Zoe a glare that if looks could kill Zoe would be dead about 10 times over.
