She was completely, utterly, lost.

Maybe she turned at the wrong light, or she wasn't paying attention to where she was driving, but she had absolutely no idea where she was at.

Tears ran down her face - she couldn't help them. She tried so hard not to cry, not to let him have the best of her. Her heart couldn't take it, though. It needed some sort of comfort.

So here she was - crying, and stuck in the middle of a district she didn't even know.

She wished Sesshomaru were here.

No! She didn't! How could she think that? After what he said? -or rather, what he didn't say? She was willing to step out of her comfort zone and make a relationship with him! She wanted to be with him! How could he just push her off like that?

She hoped she stayed lost. She'd rather be stranded than to be within the sight of that cold, arrogant, jerk.

A car passed her, flashing his lights at her. Kagome felt her heart beat increase. Oh no... was this person a crook? Where they murderers? She was scared.

The car pulled next to her, rolling their window down. They motioned for her to do the same. Timidly, she did, and she was struck by two handsome men sitting in the car.

"Miss, are you alright? You seem to be lost," The driver said. Kagome was bedazzled. He had beautiful black hair that was tied at his neck, and had brillant blue eyes. Kagome nodded dumbly, afraid to say something stupid.

"Um, yeah... I wasn't really paying attention to where I was and I kinda sorta got lost and yeah..."

The driver laughed at her rushed sentence. His laugh reminded her of Sesshomaru's. It was dark, and it held a baritone ring to it.

"What's your name, love? You are quite lovely." The second man, who she soon found was English, asked. He was also insanely gorgeous. He had spiked blonde hair, and his eyes were the same color of his counterpart.

"Ka-Kagome." She stuttered. She suddenly felt uneasy as the driver stepped out of his car.

"My name is Hoshio, and this is my step-brother, Matthew. We would be honored if you would allow us the pleasure of escorting you home."

Kagome felt a tingle pass through her spine as a wave of youki shot at her. These men were...

Sesshomaru paced his home, a feeling of regret washing over his skin in a cold mist. He shouldn't of let her go. He should have told he exactly how he felt! This was crazy - He was surely not afraid of her rejection.

He wasn't afraid of anything.

He decided to go after her. He could easily find her scent, no problem. It was different than anyone elses.

It was the most pleasent scent in the world.

Mind made up, he dressed himself and was putting his jacket on when his father entered the room.

"Son? Is everything alright?" His father asked, his eyes glittering.

"Yes, father." Sesshomaru sharply replied. He did not have time for his father's foolishness.

"If she loves you... she'll come back." He said softly, turning as he left the room.

Sesshomaru looked at his clock, sitting back down.

'If she loves me...'

She will come back.
