~A Model? ~

"Diamond for the last time I am going to be okay tonight. My parents are not going to eat me up or anything; you have charmed my mother and somehow got my dad to agree with this modeling contract and emancipation. I will be fine on my own for one night, then tomorrow you can take me back to your dark ship kicking and screaming." She said as she tried to convince Diamond on letting her stay with her parents.

"But what about your wounds and..."

"Sapphire already looked at them and cleared me; right Sapphire?"

"Yes I have." Sapphire repeated for the 10th time, his brother can sure be thick when it comes to Serena "If you worry about her safety then why don't you set up a guard?"

"What! No, I don't need to be babysat." Serena sent a glare to Sapphire.

"That's an excellent idea, I will use my strongest warriors, I'll have them guarding every inch of the house." Diamond began to whisper as he looked at the front yard.

"Thanks Sapphire…" Serena hissed as him as she tried to persuade Diamond from setting 20 guards.

"Okay so it is settled; don't worry you will be safe throughout the night my men will guard you and the rabbit or there will be hell to pay tomorrow. Now, I will pick you up early in the morning and drop you off to school; then later that day we will pack your things and sent them to your new home."

"Night Diamond… night Sapphire" Serena said as she tried to push Diamond out the door. She leaned against the door once she knew they were gone only to hear giggling from the stairs. Walking towards them she saw Rini; who gave her a sheepish grin "Think that was funny do you?" Serena asked her as she reached for her.

"For the bad guy he is sure overprotective."

"I know but I am not that sure about him being the enemy anymore."

Rini looked at her "Why? You don't believe me that he attacked my mommy?"

Serena saw the sad look on the girls face "It's not that honey, it is just when I see into his eyes I can see the anguish and despair. Don't worry; I'll take care of you." She said with determination as she pulled Rini to her room. "I know you don't trust him but at the moment I have no one to trust; he's the only one that is giving me a choice and in doing so he will in a way protect you too or else our deal is off. I don't know if Luna knows of what is going on or in what side she is in but at the moment we have each other and somehow some way we got Diamond and Sapphire on our side." Serena said as she opened her closet and began to look through things.

"What are you looking for?" Rini asked her as she watched Serena take out a pink box and watch her set it on her bed.

"This." Serena said as she sat right next to Rini and opened the box.

"Serena there is another box in there; what do you need it?"

"Aw munchkin this isn't the only thing that is in this box; she said as she removed took out a silver music box with crescent moon engrave around it. "What's inside this box is reinforcement…" she said as she was about to open the box; her gaze shot up to the window where she saw Luna. She immediately closed the lid and stared at Luna warily.

"Serena what…" Rini asked as she looked towards the window also.

Serena slowly walked towards the window; was Luna here because of the girls? Did they want here crystal? Whose side was she on?

Luna looked down at Artemis from the tree; they had been looking for her missing ward for the last couple of days with no luck. Why would Serena disappear without talking to her? "I'm going to check her room again Artemis." She told him as she walked on the branch that was closer to her window; she saw movement and hoped it wasn't Serena's mom but the one girl she was searching for. Taking in a steady breath she took a quick glance; looking in she saw Serena with Rini; tears began to form as she ignored Artemis's questions and began to scratch on the window.

Serena slowly opens the window "Lu…Luna?" She said whispered as she waited for Luna's ranting of being a bad scout and leader; what she was not expecting was for Luna to jump towards her and give her a cat like hug.

"Where have you been? I've been so worried about you! Artemis and I have searched everywhere; the girls were of no help and we were beginning to think of the worse!"

Serena began to cry softly as she hugged Luna, "Oh Luna I've been so worried that you would agree with the girls and think of me…"

"Luna!"

Serena froze as she heard Artemis's panicked voice; she set Luna down and looked down to where she expected him to be. What she wasn't expecting was Artemis being surrounded by what she could tell very vicious looking yaumas. "Oh, no!" Serena cried out as she began to run towards her door and running out of her house with Rini and Luna on her trail.

"If they kill him; I am so killing Diamond!" She told herself as she opened her entrance door; only to be stopped by another yauma.

"Serena transform! I do not know how they found you but you have to take Rini and run!" Luna cried out as she was getting ready to attack/bite the monster.

"Luna calm down!" Serena said as she looked at Artemis and made sure he was alright. "Now, let him go! He is not to be harm" Serena told the yauma "If you do harm him I will get upset and then your Prince will find out and kill you." She told the yauma; she hoped that they would obey her or else she might have to fight them.
"Serena transform!" Luna ordered again as she watch the interaction.

"Luna calm down. I know what I am doing. Now," she looked at the yauma again "do as I said and let him go or I am also informing Sapphire and then you'll have both Prince on your ass but they won't have a chance to do anything because I will moon dust your ass first!" She watched the yauma disappear as she nodded to the guard on her door; "Come on Artemis. Let's go to my room and I'll explain everything."

Serena had just finish explaining her side of the story; she was currently waiting for both Luna and Artemis to say something as they wore a shock expression. Rini sat on her bed munching on some warm chocolate chip cookies her mother had just done.

"But… Diamond is… why would? How is…" Serena began to laugh as she watched for the first time Luna is at a loss for words.

"You haven't heard the best part yet Luna." Rini said after taking a sip of milk.

"Best part?"

"Yeah… Serena is going to be a model!"

"A what! But you have school to worry about. No, you will not be revealing any skin; you have school, homework, your duties as a Scout!"

"Oh you have nothing to say about the first half but me wanting to be a model you have plenty to say?" Serena looked at Luna as she tried to hide her smirk.

"That's completely different!"

Serena began to laugh and for the first time since the betrayal of the girls she felt like everything was going to be alright. She was just glad that Luna and Artemis where on her side and not with the girls; this made her feel less alone. She didn't know what was in store for he in the future but everything was changing fast.

"Luna please understand, that me being with Diamond does not mean I am going to attack the innocent. I am still Sailor Moon, champion of love and justice but I can't do it alone. Rini needs protection and if this is my only option in providing that protection I'm going to take it. I can't trust the girls, I can't trust Darien" her voice shook "and at the time I thought I couldn't trust you either. They didn't let me explain what happen and thought the worse of me; I was attacked by Emerald and before you start jumping to conclusion Diamond did not order the attack and is going to punish Emerald for that."

"Here, let me get another ice pack for your ankle…" Rini mumbled as she left the door.

"I know they're our enemies but something tells me that at this point in time I am doing the right thing. My priority is to protect Rini and the moon crystal; as long as I am breathing no one is going to take these two things from me, not the Scouts or Darien and certainly not Diamond and the rest of the Negamoon. There is also something else that I need to explain to you; I didn't know this before I met Diamond but he was in our past. He wasn't our enemy, in fact he was someone special" Serena smiled at this "but due to some tragedy or another at that point in time I thought he was dead. While we talked, I remembered some of our past and I remembered that I loved him once."

"But you were engaged to Endymion."

"I know; and I was but I was also engaged to Diamond at the time and I don't know how much you remember but he was or is formally known as Prince Diamondo of the…"

"I'm back!" Rini said as she jumped on the bed and put the ice over her ankle.

"Thanks honey, but I think it's time for you to go to bed so come and lay next to me while I finish explaining to Luna." Serena watched as Rini laid next to her and got comfortable once she knew Rini was asleep she continued her story, "I was engaged with Diamond before Endymion. We were going to get married but Diamond's world got attack and for my protection and the protection of my people we didn't get married and he went to war. According to everyone he was dead but I knew deep down he wasn't but 3 years had passed and I had no choice but to believe what everyone had been telling me for the past years that he was dead. I met Endymion after and we bonded; I wasn't in love with him but he knew that and promised to keep me happy and cherished. After, his insistence and my mother's insistence I agreed to the engagement. I knew I didn't love him the same way I loved Diamond but he did make me happy; I saw Diamond once. He came up to me but I thought it was my imagination, a ghost, a figment of my imagination because I was getting married in a couple of weeks but before I could seek him out our world got attacked by Beryl." Serena had tears in her eyes as she finished her story.

"But why didn't we remember this, your memories got unlocked when you knew who Darien was?" Luna questioned as she looked at Artemis for answers.

"Maybe mother didn't want me to be in pain? She sent us to the future because we died in the past; she wanted a new beginning for us and she was probably protecting me."

"Serena is probably right Luna" Artemis said as he looked at both of them.

"But this does not change the way I feel about Darien; I did love him; I just thought that he loved me back…" Serena said as she ran her hand across Rini's hair "I mean if we in the future…" Serena stopped herself from saying anything further best not say anything before knowing all the facts she needed to speak to someone.

"The future?" Artemis asked.

"It's not important, I'll explain in the future but right now I need to go to sleep hopefully my ankle will be less swollen."
