Chapter 11: Lift Off

As the dawn was coming, the Inquisitor, from a distant point from where the small battle took place, was getting her vehicle and her lightsaber ready for the confrontation against the Jedi. While preparing, she still pondered about the other force presence that were close to where they were at the time. What and who were they? How strong are they? And can they be turned to the dark side? If these force users were not yet tamed by the hunted down Jedi, then Palpatine would favor her even more for bringing this discovery to his presence for even more prestige to her. She then decided it was to be another objective added to her mission.

Ahsoka kept guard outside of the house to make sure there were no more surprises to her, Rayrsoll and the family. Last night was too close a call for them, especially for the children. She fought off the desire to rest knowing that the Empire knew where they were, and what worried her even more was the fact that the children sensed something, something dark and uninviting. She had a feeling of what they were talking about, but hoped it wasn't what she thinks it was, as if there weren't enough problems already.

Hana packed as much clothes as possible that weren't riddled in the ambush last night. She looked around even still to find anything surviving the attack. She also was worried about what was going to happen. These people came to her for one thing, to look for her dead husband, and now discovering that her children are born with another ability besides turning into wolves, that they can use a power she has never heard of before. Even more to her stress, she now must leave once again, except this time that she won't just be leaving to another home, she and her family would have to leave the planet entirely. "Everything ok Miss Hana?" Rayrsoll asked Hana, catching her by surprise as she jumped up and grabbing her chest as if having a heartache.

"Ah Rayrsoll san, please don't sneak up on me like that! I'm still jumpy after last night!" Hana replied irritably.

"I apologize, I just wanted to check if you were ok." Rayrsoll said humbly.

"Yes I am, what about Yuki and Ame?"

"They are just grabbing the last bit of there things and will meet Ahsoka outside."

"OK good, just let me finish in here and I'll be out too." She returned to her task. Rayrsoll stopped at the door leading out her room, noticing that she was still not to fond of the idea of leaving. He decided to try and console her. "Hana, I know that this is difficult right now, but-" Hana then interrupted him in anger "But what?! The fact that my husband wasn't what he said was?! That you people come bring in chaos and nearly getting us killed?! Oh! Here's what it might be! That my children have to be exiles once again when we were getting our lives back together once again?! I think it's pretty much all the above!" Hana said to Rayrsoll while walking angrily towards him with anger and tears in her eyes from the past experience of last night. Rayrsoll felt and understood where she was coming from, but was still affirmed to what he understood as the situation which stands even now.

"Look Miss Hana, I am sorry for what I have brought upon you and your family, but what's done is done. Now the Empire not only knows about us, but you and maybe even the children. The moment that Ahsoka told me about what the children felt, and odds are it's not just some soldier of the empire or an agent, but something much worse, a Sith. And if you think that I am just going to abandon the children of a man who I called brother to an unknown fate after hearing what they said and felt, then lady, you are either really stupid or just don't care about the well being of your children." Hana, shocked and even more angered about what he said in the last bit of his answer, slapped him across the face. Rayrsoll stood unphased by her response and ordered her to finish packing and meet them outside. She continued although still with anger in her.

Rayrsoll met Ahsoka outside, even she felt what Rayrsoll experienced inside let alone heard what Hana had to say. "So, didn't go to well for you, huh?" Ahsoka asked sarcastically. Rayrsoll declined to answer, so Ahsoka dropped it after feeling his guilt and his yet his determination. The children came out first with their backpacks with toys and the box that belonged to their father. Ame held the container, wondering what else their father had and what he really was. Hana then came with a small suitcase with the clothes that survived and knick-knacks from the house. "Is everyone ready?" Ahsoka asked. They nodded and started to follow the Jedi to the ship. Hana looked behind her to the house, which now was laid to waste. After all the labor and money she put into it, brought down by beings from beyond who knows where.

The Inquisitor looked upon the group waiting for the right time to strike. While scouting her objective, she spotted the family who were tagging along with them. The children were what caught most of her attention. Perhaps these were the force sensitives that she felt. There was no doubt about it, it had to be them. Now came the hard part, how to get them and take out the Jedi. She assessed on the how, and may have a hypothesis to put to the test.

Along the way to the ship, Rayrsoll took the lead of the group to make sure the path was clear of any Imperial menace. So far so good, although he realized that maybe what he said to Hana about not caring about her kids. He forgot that this planet and it's people don't have the technology that he is used to and that Okami never told Hana about his past. He wondered why he left in the first place. People have often told him that he died in battle so he was still puzzled as to why he faked his death and left the order, or was there more to it. He then looked upon Hana who was saddened about what happened and being lead off into an unknown fate. He asked Ahsoka to take the lead and walked over to Hana. "Hey, I figure maybe you need to let some steam off. And I feel that I need to apologize about what I said. I see you do care for your children and should never assume anything else." Rayrsoll said to Hana. She looked up and gave him a small forgiving smile. Rayrsoll was relieved to see her smile.

"Rayrsoll, what you said back at the house, these things called Sith. What are they?" Hana asked. The name of his enemy burned in his mind. The same people who over and over tried to kill him and other Jedi, and in the case of six years ago, seemed to have succeeded. He decided to answer her. "Hana, the Sith are basically the opposite if what the Jedi are." Rayrsoll answered.

"How so?" Hana asked.

"The Jedi strived for peace and freedom of the galaxy. The Sith only strive for power and control. They put people under their boots and control people's lives through fear and intimidation."

"So they are evil?"

"Yes. And like the Jedi, they can use the force, however; they use the dark side of the force. Adding anger and raw emotion to their power to cause harm and inflict pain, sometimes just for fun." Hana became disturbed about what Rayrsoll told her. People who use the same power that he, Ahsoka and her children have, but to cause harm and use it for evil. Ame then stopped while they were walking. Yuki looked at Ame with confusion to why he stopped.

"Ame, come one we have to keep going." Yuki said to Ame, but Ame looked at the trees to his right. Something was there, something not right. Yuki then turned to where he was looking and began to feel it to. Hana caught the children looking and wondered what it was.

"Yuki? Ame? What is it?" Hana asked. Rayrsoll then felt a dark presence in the area. He ordered Hana to take the kids as he got pulled his lightsaber from his hilt. Ahsoka followed suit. He then heard the sound of a speeder heading their way.

"Ahsoka, take Hana and the kids to the ship now." Rayrsoll commanded to Ahsoka. She followed the order and guided the family to the ship. Raysoll activated his lightsaber and took on a defensive stance. Then came the dark figure on the speeder a few moments later. She jumped off the speeder and confronted Rayrsoll for a fight. She ignited her lightsaber of crimson red and proceeded to start the fight with Rayrsoll.

As the group ran towards the ship, which amazed Hana and the children to see that it was real. Yuki became worried about Rayrsoll and asked about his well being. Ahsoka reassured her that he can hold his own. Deep down though, even she worried about what can happen. She then ordered everyone inside the ship.

The duel was intense. His orange blade colliding with the Inquisitor's red blade over and over again. Yet she had an ace up her sleeve. "I don't have time for this." She said to Rayrsoll as they broke a lock of their blades. She then pressed a button on her wrist and the speeder activated aiming at Rayrsoll. The speeder then fired rapid shots at Rayrsoll while the Inquisitor made her path to the group.

Ahsoka was getting the ship opened to get the children and Hana inside. As it was opening, Yuki was then presented with the view of a dark figure in front of her. Fear chilled down her spine as Ame looked upon the horrid vision himself as well. The Inquisitor the started approaching the ship where they were. Ahsoka sensed the presence and saw what she feared was here, a Sith. She ordered everyone inside and pulled her lightsabers to be ready to fight. The Inquisitor followed suit and welcomed the challenge.

Rayrsoll, dealing with the automated speeder, saw an opportunity to end the fight. Taking cover behind a tree, he then jumped up the branches and saw an opportunity. He leaped and cut a huge branch from a tree and had it land on the speeder, crushing it. He then ran to the ship to stop the Inquisitor.

Ahsoka, using her Ataru training, tried to get a strike on the Sith, yet the Inquisitor was holding her ground. Ahsoka tried a force push to get her off her stance, which was only a little affective. She returned the favor with a force choke on Ahsoka. She then got her on her knees to deliver a death blow. "One less objective." She replied to her as she raised her blade. She was then interrupted by a clash of an orange blade striking. The Inquisitor the focused on Rayrsoll. "What took you Ray?" Ahsoka asked sarcastically.

"Shut it and get in the ship. I'll keep her busy." Rayrsoll ordered as the duel commenced.

Ahsoka got inside and got in the pilot seat. Hana and the children were inside the cockpit with Ahsoka. "Wait, where's Rayrsoll?" Hana asked Ahsoka as she prepared to launch.

"He's fine he's just busy." Ahsoka answered. They then felt the ship lift off the ground. Yuki looked from the front window looking at the battle. "Wait! We can't leave Rayrsoll behind!" Yuki said to Ahsoka.

Rayrsoll then looked up and realized it was time to go. He stopped what he was doing and force jumped to the opening of the ship before it closed. The Inquisitor could only look as it left. She got on the holocommunicator to the ship.

"Yes Inquisitor." The captain asked.

"There is a freight ship leaving the surface of the planet. Stop it, but don't destroy it." The Inquisitor ordered. The Captian complied with the order and waited for a view of the ship.

In the Rigger, Rayrsoll came back to the cockpit, worn from the battle and in need of rest. Hana and the children rushed toward him to make sure he was OK. "Rayrsoll! Are you ok?!" Hana asked in distress. He reassured them that he was indeed in good health, just worn out. The radar then picked up something big.

"Hang on guys, we're not out of the woods just yet."
