Author's Note : wow two in one night improvement! Now this part is happening during Groves visit with his grandfather. This chapter also fills in a lot of holes.

Anyways enoy

I looked around the white room and saw Dr. Hastings planning something, but for some reason I could not read his mind. I tried over and over, but I simply could not. I suddenly remembered that Groves and the Soulless One had done something new to me. I realized they had cut open my brain and detached my telepathy. I roared angrily, smashing my tail into the cage.

Of course, nothing happened because it was restrained, so only my blade tip could move. I began to use my sharp claws to get Hastings attention. He looked up at me and pulled something out of the desk, turned the cameras off, and began to precede to me slowly with the item he'd retrieved. When he made it to me he revealed a sewing needle made from diamond. He put it in the hole in my head and within a few minutes I could read his thoughts again.

"I feel your pain buddy. I have been trying to get kicked out of here for five years now. First I killed a baby xenomorph-" I growled at him, making him pause.

"Sorry," he said. "Next I got you. I tried releasing you, but you only damaged Shapiro." He laughed. "Good job by the way; she's in the hospital for a week now. Listen; if I let you out, promise not to kill me and help me bust out with you."

I thought about his offer. He fixed my telepathy and now he wanted to set me free, but I couldn't harm him. I used my telepathy again. "Deal; set me free and you can live."

He jumped back. "Woah. You can talk to me?" he asked.

"Yes, but remember; I can't say the same about my brothers or sisters, or Mother for that matter. So when we bust out of here, stick with me; I will protect you." I told him.

"Okay," he said. "I hope to do it next week. Now hold on, I have to bring you your food. You don't mind if I stay while you eat do you?"

"Not at all. I am so hungry I think I could eat twenty of you," I said.

He pushed the button on the computer panel and a floor tile opened up, producing a pile of meat as he unlocked my restrains.

"Bon Appétit," he said. "I hope you can molt soon; I have never seen a real life praetorian make it to it's full size." He walked back into my part of the room and squatted down beside me. I kept shooting my inner jaw into the meat, loving the taste of it. Hastings went to touch my dome when I was eating so I backed up.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Your shock stick," I explained.

"You don't like my stun baton?" Hastings asked in a sad tone.

"Get rid of that; then I will let you touch me," I commanded.

"But it's company rules," he protested.

"You've broken enough, so one more won't hurt, right?" I questioned.

He sat there for a couple of seconds before throwing it into the hallway connecting our rooms. "Of course not," he said.

I move closer to him and as I did his hand move closer to me. Am I really letting him touch me? I asked myself. Before I could back away from him, his soft skin came in contact with my dome. As he did I could see his memories, dreams, and everything he knew. How his father abused him, how his mother forgot about him. His parents splitting up, his step-father killing his mother, his step-mother trying to drown him. His father committing mass robberies and killing a police officer and spending life in jail. Then out of the terribleness I saw through his eyes I saw his only friend grow up with him and how Shapiro changed into the bane of his existence. As he pulled away I could not see his memories anymore. He really was desperate to leave here and now I knew why.
