An: Thanks for reviews. I'm going to continue with the story. Also, I know I said that Sakura was schizophrenic in the last chapter but that's not psychologically correct. I'm sure Sakura has a whole mess of mental issues, including daddy issues but just know that Sakura has a split personality and her alternative personality is called Lolita. Thanks for reading and enjoy
Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto.
"Have you seen my gun?" Sasuke said to Sakura as they drove down the empty road at night. He was rummaging through the cuppy hole as he drove and looked at her when she didn't answer. She was Sakura at the moment. Sasuke could tell because she had flinched slightly at the word 'gun'.
She shook her head, "No. Maybe you left it at the motel?"
"Yeah…" He said. He hadn't really been paying much attention to the weapon. The last time he remembered having it was when he'd accidentally shot Sakura. Maybe he'd left it there, by the crime scene.
Sakura was all bundled up in moth eaten blankets and half asleep with her cheek pressed against the window. Sasuke looked for a moment and smiled. He felt warm whenever he looked at her and saw she was safe like when she was asleep or smiling. All he wanted for was happiness. All he wanted from her was sex.
He had given her all the blankets, even if it was minus degrees outside. He was far too proud to admit that he was cold so he kept on driving. They would have to stop soon for gas and new clothes for Sakura but Sasuke wanted that to be as far away as possible.
He knew he couldn't use any of his bank cards. They would be tracing those. He barely had any hard cash on him. It wouldn't take them very far.
He looked over at Sakura in her cocoon of blankets. He smiled, feeling that warm feeling pool inside him again.
By two o'clock in the morning, he was beginning to get tired and the car was running out of petrol. He saw a twenty-hour garage. It was one of those with a ridiculously over stocked shop that sold clothes and basic supplies as well as snacks for a roadtrip. There was no one there and Sasuke thought it would be their best chance to get petrol as well as some new clothes for Sakura who was still wearing her blood stained school uniform.
He drove in and put some petrol in the car himself. He let Sakura continue sleeping in the car as he went into the little shop.
The owner was a fat, tired man with an oily bald head. He was not a smart nor handsome man. He also looked like he manned the twenty-four hour shop himself and there were bulging purple bags under his eyes. Sasuke hoped that he was not aware of what went on in the world outside his little shop and wouldn't recognise him from the news.
Sasuke looked through the aisles for clothes for Sakura. He didn't really know what she liked, having only really ever seen her in a school uniform. He picked some jeans and a shirt with an ugly logo on it that looked like it might fit her. He also got more supplies for the road, including condoms.
He walked to the owner who began to ring up the items robotically as if it was so usual for him that he only relied on muscle memory to get the job done.
It was at the second item that Sasuke knew he didn't have enough money to pay anymore but he continued to let the man ring the items up as he mentally debated what he should do. He could grab the things and run. The owner would never be able to catch him on his short, fat legs and Sasuke had literally on chosen the bare essentials. He needed everything he was buying but could pay for nothing.
"That would be one-fifty," The owner slurred.
Sasuke stared at him blankly, rubbing his only cash together as if they would breed.
"Come on. Hurry up. I don't have all night," The owner said although it was clear that he did have all night.
Sasuke reached out, preparing to grab the things and run but there was a sound, a small click and the shop owner's eyes widened. His mouth gaped open and blood suddenly poured out his mouth and over his chin. Sasuke stared, his eyes wide, not able to understand what had just happened. The owner collapsed with a heavy sound to reveal Sakura behind him, holding a smoking gun.
"Sakura! What did you do?!" he shouted.
But the second he saw her he knew that she was being Lolita. She smirked blowing the smoke away from her gun.
"Thought you could use some help," She smiled.
"Is that my gun?" Sasuke shouted, "Did you steal my fucking gun."
Sakura rolled her eyes at him, "Relax sweetie. It's not like you were ever going to use it. I got bullets for it. I even managed to make sure it shot silently. What were you ever going to do with it? Accidentally shoot me again?"
Sasuke walked towards, placing his hands on her shoulder and looking straight at her. She didn't flinch or look away but stared right back into his onyx eyes with her chin held high.
"Enough," He said curtly, "Enough, okay."
She smirked, "Enough of what, sweetie?"
"This. What are you doing, Sakura? You just killed a man and you not even showing any remorse."
Sakura blinked her long eyelashes at him and pressed herself against him. Sasuke immediately inhaled her flowery scent and made him fill up with lust. He closed his eyes and breathed.
"Don't act like you don't like it," She whispered and licked the shell of his ear.
Sasuke shivered. He held onto her waist and kissed her neck only moving away long enough to whisper her name,
"Sakura…"
She moved so quickly and violently that Sasuke didn't really know what had happened until she had the gun pressed under his chin.
"That's not my name."
He looked at her, passively blinking then said, "Lolita…."
She lowered her gun, "Good boy."
She walked away from him in a flurry of pink hair. She picked up the clothes Sasuke was going to get her and snorted in laughter.
"Oh, honey, no," She said then skipped over to the clothes section. She began to rummage through the racks.
"Everything is just so ugly," She sighed, "We should hijack a designer store."
Sasuke looked at her, "No."
She waved her gun around, "Do I look like I need your permission."
She looked through the clothes lazily the squealed in delight when she found some tight leather pants and a demin jacket. Without a single word, she tore off her school uniform and put on the clothes. Sasuke didn't say anything but she looked like dominatrix. He didn't say anything because he found her new look even more arousing than the school uniform that hugged all the right places. He watched her, in terrifying awe, as she ransacked the shop. She found make up and applied it skilfully, making herself look dark and beautiful.
"What do you think?" She asked, twirling around in front of him.
"I want to rip your clothes off," Sasuke said with a completely serious face.
She laughed, "But I just stole these clothes."
Sasuke looked out the window, "It's getting light."
"Time to move on," Sakura agreed.
Sakura made a point to step over the body of the shop owner on the way out. Sasuke would have covered their tracks if he thought that it would make any difference. Their little 'roadtrip' was getting dangerous and Sasuke realised that they would probably leave a string of corpses behind before they actually got caught.
And Sasuke knew, he was absolutely certain, that they would get caught eventually.
When they were at the car, Sakura leaned against the hood and said, "Can I drive?"
"No," He said immediately.
"You look tired," She pointed out.
"So do you."
She pouted, "Please?"
"No."
She pointed the gun at him and said again, "Please?"
"You can point that gun at me all you want, I'm not letting you drive."
For a moment, Sasuke thought that she might actually shoot him but then she just laughed and said,
"And that's why I keep you around."
They got in the car and drove away. It wasn't long before Sakura fell asleep again. She slept for so long that Sasuke thought there must be something wrong but eventually she woke up, bleary eyed and disorientated.
"What's going on?" She asked, "What the hell am I wearing? I look like a fricken dominatrix."
Sasuke looked at her, "How much do you remember from last night…. When we stopped?"
"We stopped last night?" She blinked.
Sasuke sighed. She was Sakura again. She was little, weak Sakura but when he looked at her all he felt was warmth and the urge to keep her safe.
"No. We didn't stop last night," Sasuke lied, "I'm just tired."
She looked at him, concerned, "We should stop for a bit. You need to sleep."
"We can't stop at any motels anymore," He said.
"I know. You can sleep in the car. I'll keep watch."
Sasuke smiled. He reached out and held her hand, caressing her knuckles with his thumb.
"Sakura, I just want you to know that whatever happens, I love you."
She blinked at him. It was only when Sasuke saw her expression that he realised that he'd never really said it to her before. Suddenly, he was nervous and he felt like a fool.
But she smiled softly at him and said, "I love you too."
