Third Person P.O.V
Jerry was in Jack's house. He looked at the aquarium that filled half the wall. There were so many fish, it was calming to look at. He turned back to the couch were Jack sat, looking sadly at the box in his hand. The gang were there and Kim was rubbing Jack's back.
"Is it stupid? I mean I know it shouldn't affect me so much."
"Of course it's not stupid." Milton said.
Jerry rolled his eyes, "you do know it was just a fish right?"
"Well yeah, but Pluto was special."
"Could he do tricks?" Jerry asked
"No but he was one of the first fish Rudy and I got. He was loyal, trusting, I could tell him anything."
"Right so he was just there right?"
"Ugg, I'm going to get water." Jack handed the box to Milton and walked to the kitchen
"You know you can be really self-centred sometimes right?" Kelsey asked Jerry
"It's just a fish. It forgets who he his every 3 seconds." Jerry replied
"You know how much Jack work with those fish. You're being really rude acting like this." Eddie said
"Whatever." Jerry left the house.
Later the gang stood behind the house were the mini pier was. Jack opened the box to reveal a frozen clownfish. "Goodbye Pluto. Return to were you once came." Jack dropped the fish but it just sat there rocking to the waves. "kinda thought he'd sink. Oh well, hey is it ok if we have a moment of silence?"
"Not at all." Kim said
"Hey," they turned to see Jerry holding a bag, "don't start without me."
"Too late, it's already over." Milton said
"Oh, well Jack I know how much Venus," Jerry said when Jack interrupted him
"Pluto. His name was Pluto."
"Whatever, so I got you this little guy." He lifted a bag with a goldfish in it. "guy at the store said he's really cool to talk to."
"Jerry," Jack said slowly and put his hand on his best friend's shoulder, "I collect saltwater fish, not freshwater." With that Jack went back inside.
Grace shook her head. Jerry could be such an idiot sometimes. Of course he deserved to make amends with Jack. Grace's face caught a smile as she thought.
Later that night, she swam looking around for fish when she found the perfect one. Back on land she ran to Jerry's house and knocked on the door. Jerry opened it and jumped a little when the plastic bag was shoved in his face. "here. Give this to Jack, and I'm sure he'll forgive you."
"Whoa, Grace where'd you get this?" Jerry asked as he looked at the teardrop butterfly fish
"I know a spot. You can thank me later."
The next day, Jerry was walking to the Surf Shack when he heard a whistle. A girl with long blonde hair and icy blue eyes looked at the bag. "Now that is quite a rare specimen."
Jerry got a smile on his face when he saw her eyes directed at his hand, "oh, you meant the fish."
"You wanna sell that beaut?"
"Sorry, some one's name is already on it."
"Shame. I work at the marina and we have a breeding program. We'd pay big for guys like that."
"Oh, well sorry." Jerry walked to the Shack, his mind still on the last sentence.
At the Bobby Wasabi Surf Shack
"Jer, this is amazing." Jack said looking at the fish
"That is quite a rear specimen." Milton said
"Nothing but the best. Saltwater too."
"Jer thank you so much. He's gorgeous. Seems like a quite guy, but I think he'll settle in with the others perfectly."
"Ah, who wants a noisy fish?"
"You know," Milton said, his eyebrow raised, "you can only get these guys from licenced breeders. He must of cost a fortune."
"Yeah, well I got a new job."
"Well I'm not complaining, seeing how you spent all that money on me."
Jerry smiled and walked away, pulling Grace away from her table.
"Ok so Jack loved his gift. On my way here this chick wanted to buy him and was willing to pay big."
"And you're telling me this why?" Grace asked
"Well I thought if you could get more of the fish, I will give you big cut."
"Who's this person?" Grace asked questioningly
"She works at the marina. Didn't get her name though."
Grace raised her eyebrow. What if this was a trap planned by Frank's followers? All the enemies they faced were girls. "How'd she look?"
"Blonde hair and these really cool blue eyes." Just like that girl, the one who could also control ice.
"Well I guess, as long as you don't mind me coming with. You know, just to make sure the fish are fine."
"Of course. Meet me by the pier tomorrow."
At an abandoned shack far from the town, Candy sat in a chair, her feet on the table in front of her. Jenna tapped on one of the tanks. They were surrounded by fish all over the walls.
"So why are we doing this again?"
"The mermaids care about the fish right? When they find out there being sold like this they'll have to come and see what it's about. Plus one of their dopey little friends is caught in my trap."
The next day, Jerry meet up with Grace by the pier. She had a cooler in her hands with the fish.
"Hey, so you got the fish ok?"
"Yeah. So where's this girl?"
"I saw her earlier. Come on." The two walked down to a boat where Candy was waiting. She smiled when she saw Jerry.
'dose this mean that girl is one of the pure mermaids?'
"Hey, this is my friend I told you about."
"Hope you didn't mind me coming. I just wanted to make sure this fish are taken somewhere safe."
"But of course. We're very caring at the marina. We just want to help the world understand these lovely creatures."
Grace opened the cooler and Candy pulled out a regal blue tang. "He matches your eyes." Candy flirted with Jerry.
"Really? Maybe I should wear that colour around you."
Grace coughed loudly turning the attention to her. She was not happy with the flirting. "So you gonna pay? These fish don't have to live in a tank you know."
"Right." Candy pulled out $900 out of her back pocket. She hand handed it to Grace, "don't worry, this little guy will be just fine."
Grace gave a tight smile before dragging Jerry away. That girl had to be Candy but she didn't attack her straight out, so…? Maybe she was being to forward. When they were far enough, she gave Jerry $400.
"here, she seems like a nice person."
"Thanks. Hey you think she likes me?"
"As if." She said turning around and walking away.
Jack's house
Jack, Eddie and Milton looked Jerry up and down. He was dressed in black MIFTS shirt with a grey vest, jeans and sneakers. They noticed all the clothes were completely new.
"you dig the new threads?"
"Uh, yeah but where's you get the money?" Jack asked
"from my new job. Come on boys, we're going out!" Jerry said, heading out the door. The remaining boys looked at each other before heading out.
Grace was on her own shopping trip. Kelsey followed her through the store, eyeing a few items herself.
"So you said this chick wasn't one of Frank's chicks?"
"Well she looked like that blonde haired girl, Candy?"
"Ok but why go after the fish?" Kelsey asked
"Maybe she's just from the marina."
"Not the way she was flirting."
"Ever think you're just jealous?"
Grace sputtered, her face turning red, "Jealous? Of what? If she wants him, she could have him."
"Sure." Kelsey said, "you can't fool me. You like him."
"Oh yeah? What about you and Eddie?"
"Hey I know I think he's cute. Still trying to decide how I want to approach but at least I want to."
Grace tried fighting for words but just yelled, "Oh shut up!"
At the Bobby Wasabi Surf Shack
Julie mixed her smoothie around when the boys came in. They all had their surf boards under their arms.
"Man, those waves were killer. So who wants a smoothie?" Jerry asked
"I'll go make them. You have to pay though." Jack said
Julie watched as Rudy went over to a tank near the balcony. Jerry looked in the same direction and his eyes widened when he saw the blue tang in it. "I know that fish."
"Really?" Julie asked, surprised, "what kind is he?"
"No I know this fish."
"Personally?" Julie asked confused
"Where's Grace?" he asked suddenly
"Shopping. She said she'd come here when she's done." Jerry went over to Rudy who was looking at the fish
"Hey cool fish Rudy. Where did you get him?"
"Some girl was selling them off the pier. I paid half the price to get him. Talk about a steal huh?"
Just than Grace walked in but was pulled back out by Jerry, "I don't think that girl works at the marina."
"What makes you say that?" Jerry turned her to the aquarium, "oh that's why. Well what do we do?"
"I don't know, but I'm going to find out." With that, Jerry ran out.
Grace watched him, getting a bad feeling in her stomach. She grabbed Julie and Milton and pulled them to the beach where they found Kim and Kelsey sunbathing.
"Guys, remember that job Jerry got?"
"Yes. Still can't believe he got a job though."
"Well if you consider catching fish for a girl who is selling them off the back of her boat a job, than yeah, best job ever." Grace said
"Whoa wait a minute, that morning you went for an early swim you went collecting fish? And you gave them to that blonde chick?" Kelsey asked
"You know, so don't yell at me." Grace snapped
"Guys, now is not the till. We have to think. What are we going to do?"
"The logical thing would be to call the police." Julie said
"Right and explain how we know this? 'Oh it's ok officer. You can trust me, I'm a mermaid." Milton said
"He's right. We have to be delicate about this. Wait, where is Jerry anyway?" Kim asked
"Crap! He must have gone to the pier to find that girl! Milton wait for us to tell you to call the police!" the girls ran to the pier hoping to get there before Jerry did something.
Candy was washing her hands in a bucket before throwing it back into the sea. She was on her boat near the pier. She was about to head back to the shed when she sensed something coming towards her. She caught the blue t-shirt and looked up to see Jerry in his board shorts and a black wife beater. "Thanks." She said wiping her hands on the shirt, "you know I bet this colour goes well with you."
"DO I look stupid to you?"
"You really want me to answer that don't you?" She teased
"I don't like it when people make me look like an idiot. I get enough of that from myself."
"What are you talking about?"
"Those fish we got? You're selling them at the back of your boat. Are you even working for the marina?"
"What do you think? You knew what you were getting yourself into so don't come complaining to me." She threw the shirt back at him before going and starting the boat. The girls came over just as they saw Jerry jump in. as the boat started moving they saw him pulling himself up hiding behind some boxes.
"That idiot! What do we do?" Grace asked
"What else? Go after him." The girls were stalled by a man washing down his tack boxes. When he moved the hose away from them, the girls walked on the edge of the fencing they had been hiding behind before diving into the water. The girls super swam hoping to catch up with the boat. Grace just hoped Jerry wouldn't do anything stupid.
Jerry waited for Candy to get off the boat and to go into the wooden shack/building before he got off. He went to the door and opening it slightly, peeked in. his eyes widen when he recognised the red head from Milton's performance. She and Candy talked when someone put their hand on Jerry's shoulder. 'Crap,' he thought as he turned to looked at the girl with long red hair, Charlotte.
He was forced into a seat in front of the desk were Candy sat. Alice, minus the tail of course, was also there.
"So this something all girls do or just you?" Jerry asked
"How'd you find this place anyway?" Jenna asked
"I swam."
"Look mister, this can either be easy or hard. If you tell us what you know about the mermaids we'll let you go."
Jerry raised an eyebrow, "the mermaids? Why do you want to know about them?"
"Not for you to know, now start talking."
The girls broke the water and looked around, "hey, isn't this that girl's boat?" Kim asked
"It's a boat. Come one lets go." Grace said
Jerry stayed silent ignoring the glare Candy was giving him. She was starting to lose her patience when she heard the water in the water cooler behind her move.
"Hey do you guys get insurance in this line of work?" Jerry asked suddenly
"Can't exactly get it in this kind of work? Why?"
"Oh no reason, just think you might be getting scalded sometime soon." Just then they heard the pipe moaning as if the water pressure was building. Just then the water cooler burst and the pipes broke letting out steam. Alice was near one and got scalded, she ran out of the building. Just as she stopped and started rubbing her face, the hose that was tacked up near the wall started and sprayed her, knocking her over. Jerry ran for the door but Charlotte stopped in front of him. All of a sudden the potted tree near the door started to move. Its branches stretched out and wrapped around her. She l tut a shriek as it lifted her up. Jerry ran out and to the pier. Behind the house, Kim, Grace, Kelsey and Julie looked to make sure Jerry was gone.
"That guy can be such an idiot sometimes. Come on; time to go teach those girls a lesson."
Pure Mermaid, activation, transformation!
Grace was frozen in a block of ice and clothes disappearing. The ice shattered and her transformation outfit was revealed. She had knee length white boots lined in blue, a strapless light blue dress lined in white, with white frills, her necklace turned into a dangle belt. She had white lace bracelets on both hands and her mic in her left with her name spelled out in blue gems. Her eyes were now blue and her hair flowing down her back, the ends of it light blue
Water cover Kim completely, removing her clothes, her transformation outfit appearing on her when the water burst off of her. White boots lined with green and she was now wearing a strapless white dress that reached above her knees with frills and a green lace bow in the front. Across her waist like a dangling belt was her necklace, but long enough to wrap around her waist. On her hands were light green gloves and in her left hand was a microphone with green gems spelling out her name on it. Her hair was now wavy with the green in her hair matching her outfit.
A ball of fire covered Kelsey and her clothes burning away. The fire died out and showed her transformation outfit. She had a purple strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline white at the end, white high heels with purple frills. Her necklace was around her waist and her arms covered by pale purple gloves, her mic in her hand name spelled in purple gems. Her hair was in a side ponytail, the ends purple as her eyes.
A blast of leaves covered Julie and when it burst away, her clothes replaced by her transformation outfit She was wearing an off the shoulder orange dress with a layers, the colour getting lighter as it went down and her necklace around her waist. He legs were covered with white boots with orange lining it and her hands covered by a pale orange gloves, her name on her mic in orange gems. Her hair was in a messy bun, you could see the orange in her hair and her eyes were orange behind her glasses.
Candy and Jenna ran out after Candy froze the branches. Alice got up and they all regrouped
"What happened?" Alice asked
"We did." They turned to see the Pure Mermaids, "heard you're looking for us."
"That's right, get them!"
Alice lifted her hands and her water dragons rose from the sea. Kelsey lifted her free hand and closing it, she turned the dragon to steam.
"You're so useless." Charlotte said turning, her eyes turning red and her black dress turning into a black corset dress. She slashed her hand down, letting out slashes of dark power. Kim put her hand in front of her and the wind pushed the slashes around so much they broke apart.
"Yeah, who useless now?" Jenna asked. She lifted her hands and spirals of water appeared. It was stopped by Grace freezing it.
"Ugg, if you want something done you have to do it yourself!" Candy let out a brigade of icicles. Julie controlled bags of sand they had on the docks to bury the sand.
"Is that all you got? Now it our turn, this will show you to mess with my friends!"
Concert Start!
Strobe nights (Vocaloid)
Kim
Julie
Kelsey
Grace
All
A shooting star, drifting across the sky
It makes its way across the night as the whole world passes by
It sees you reach out to it somewhere down below
To that voiceless star, quietly watching over you
In shining blue
One more winter night, there's a chill in the air
The park is silent as I sit alone
I can feel my racing heart as the snow falls to my feet
Sitting on the swing I look up to the sky
And though I don't know the names for the stars
I will close my eyes and make a wish
Can you see me shining?
A shooting star, drifting across the sky
It makes its way across the night as the whole world passes by
It sees you reach out to it somewhere down below
To that voiceless star, quietly watching over you
In shining blue
Clouds they clear the night for the constellations
Who paint reflections of me in their eyes
The wind blows painting the atmosphere with dancing lights of white
To all those who are drowned in the bright city light
To all of those who will miss this beautiful sight
This is my last moment, your final chance
This my love is the last time
A shooting star, drifting across the sky
I makes its way across the night as the whole world passes me by
I sees you reach out to me somewhere down below
To that voiceless star, quietly watching over you
In shining blue
A twinkling star who can only remember when
It made a secret wish and blazed across the sky with them
I'll leave a trail that shines but only fades with time
But dry your eyes my friend, because this is not the end
For us!
Concert finish! Would you like an encore?
"Don't think this is over! You'll be dead soon, just watch!" Candy said before all the girls disappeared
Jerry's house
"So they didn't find the girls?" Jerry asked Grace who was sitting on a beanbag in the band room
"Yep, but the police found the fish and they're taking them to the marina. So we have nothing to worry about except you did a really stupid thing."
"Yeah, yeah I know. But hey, worked out in the end right?"
The door opened and Jack came in, "hey Jer, I wanted to thank you again for the fish. I finally figured out a good name for him. I thought I'd name him in honour of you."
"Jerry the fish?" Grace joked
"No Swasome, Jerry's favourite catch phrase."
The door opened again and Jerry's older brother Rico poked his head in, "mom wants to know if you guys want to stay for dinner."
"Sure. What are we having?" Grace asked
"Fish."
