CHAPTER – 11

AN: I know it has been a while since I last updated guys. I'm planning to regularly update again from now on, depending how you guys respond. This is just a short chapter trailer kinda chapter for you guys to enjoy, more hopefully coming up soon!

Thank you all those who showed their appreciation, it compels me to make it better and keep on writing.

The OC that I use belongs to 'Scarease' (Yes, I'm talking about Emi). Thanks to him for the excellent OC.

"Far-off communication"

"Wind style: Wind scythe jutsu!" the lady swung a huge fan, producing intense and sharp winds directed towards Naruto.

"Ice style: Ice wall!" The thick erupting wall intercepted the winds, blunting and blocking them.

Before the lady had time to contemplate, she felt a threatening blade on her throat.

"Stop it! Do not harm her!" Naruto shouted in desperation.

Although a little astounded by the sudden outburst from Naruto, Emi nonetheless complied.

Naruto breathed deep, out of breath from intense mental pressure.

"Detain her" he said calmly.

"I'll slit your throat if you make a move." Emi said, cuffing her hands securely.

Naruto knelt down in front of her.

"Fuck you Fukuro" the lady said in distaste.

"You haven't changed the slightest Temari, daring as always" he said, taking his mask off.

"Naruto?!" she screamed "You are Fukuro?!"

"Yeah. Guess I have some explaining to do" Her expression made him laugh. "A lot of explaining" she added.

"It's alright Emi, we're old friends. Everyone, this is Temari" he introduced, uncuffing her.

"Ok now it makes sense. But still Naruto, to think that you're the leader of Team Stampede, one of the most feared group of all time… well I suppose you always had the potential. But even now, a part of me can't accept that; the knuckleheaded grinning idiot would grow up to be Fukuro."

"Haha, I get it Temari."

"Fret not pretty lady, because it is I, the great Kisuke-sama who guided him along the path of success" he proclaimed.

"Excuse him please" Tayuya smiled apologetically. One backhand and Kisuke was down.

"Temari, Gaara's life is in danger" he cut straight to point.

"His life has always been in danger Naruto, since the day he was born. Besides, it would take an army of thousands to get to the Kazekage" she smirked confidently.

"Akatsuki's after him Temari"

Her eyes shot up in fear.

"What?!" she almost shouted.

"Yes. You can trust me with that information. I was heading to Suna for this reason. He's my friend Temari, and I intend to stay with him till the crisis gets averted."

Temari quickly got her composure back "Naruto I really appreciate it, but it'll shameful if Suna isn't able to protect their kage. It'll be a huge political problem if we accept outside help at this point, especially from an infamous mercenary group."

"I want you to know that you and your team is always welcome in Suna and we'll support you to the fullest behind the scenes if something comes up. But try to understa-"

"You can't stop me even if you try Temari. You know that. Don't give me that political bullshit. We'll work behind the scenes, but there is no way you're stopping me."

He sighed.

"Ok listen Temari. The Akatsuki will come after each and every Jinchuriki, including me and there's no doubt about it. It is in my interest to use every chance to take down Akatsuki. I simply cannot leave a golden chance like this slip away. Do you understand?" he said with concern.

She chuckled lightly "Stubborn as always. I guess it's no use explaining you. We'll leave in an hour. I'll take you through a straight but a rather rough path. Can you guys keep up?"

All she heard was mocking laughs. She frowned at first, but ended up laughing with them anyway.

"You have found good friends Naruto. And they're really strong too, from what I've heard."

"They're strong alright. I'll trust them with my life anyday without a doubt."

"I'm sure you will" she whispered.

'Damn they're fast! And that Kisuke, his speed is unmatched! I've never seen anyone as quick as him. Even his reactions are inhuman!'

"Whatcha thinking? Trouble keeping up?" Kisuke asked.

"Nothing like that!" she exclaimed.

He laughed "You know we usually go faster than this." He laughed again as Temari's expression changed.

"Why do you guys always wear a mask?" she asked, spinning the conversation around.

"Naruto wears one to hide his identity of course, but other than him, none of us have any particular reason. Maybe because we think it makes us look more intimidating and cool?" Tayuya chuckled.

"Somewhat. Well, I could certainly say that you guys have a great fashion sense"

"Tayuya picks the clothes up" Emi said.

"Aw thanks"

"Guys, you'll have to head alone from this point. I will have to stop by a checkpoint nearby to clear the patrol for you guys. I've sent a message to Kankuro, he'll receive you." She said looking towards Naruto's direction.

He nodded in return.

"Ok guys, speed up!" she heard him say as she flanked away.

'Those guys are unbelievable'

"Fukuro-sama" Emi said alarmingly.

"Yes, I noticed. There's probably an ambush up ahead" Naruto confirmed.

Freshly broken tree barks and branches in a rarely used route easily raised suspicion.

"I doubt it's the Suna shinobi. It is very less like of them to be expecting us and set up a trap in a forest, which is not their regular battlefield" Haku said.

"We are about to find out soon enough. Assume formation B"

Kisuke sped up to the front of the squad, while others followed him in a semi-circular pattern keeping a certain distance between them and him.

Kisuke was focusing towards his surroundings. Formation B was especially designed to tackle ambushes, and it relied exclusively on Kisuke's inhuman reaction speed.

Although the thick canopy blocked most of his vision, Kisuke did hear something upfront. He managed to realize just in time what it was.

"Dodge!" he yelled and they all broke away from the trees and landed on the ground just as a huge tree bark went flying above their heads.

The unit automatically assumed a square formation, with their back turned towards Naruto, who was in the centre.

"The enemies are no pushovers, be on your guard!" Haku warned.

To not only read their movements when they were travelling at this speed, but to also prepare a trap to ambush them, no average shinobi can think this fast on the fly. Whoever their enemy was, he was a veteran of countless battles.

"Fukuro! Look carefully at the skies above, for these skies will be last thing you see and the earth below, for this is where your dead body will rot away!" a voice echoed from the trees.

"O shinobi, careful what you say, or I might cut your tongue off. If you lay your eyes on me, I'll gouge them out. Lift you hand and I'll rip it off. It won't take me more than a moment to behead you right where you stand, however, if it is a fight to the death that you desire, I shall grant it to you; for I am Fukuro!"
