Im back and badder than ever!

Raven sat behind the counter. The only sound was the muffled footsteps of the people outside the book store. Raven didn't bother to open the door of turn on the lights. To the people outside, the store might as well be closed. Raven just sat behind the counter in a catatonic state. The events of this morning replayed over in her head.

Stifling a yawn, Raven walked down the stairs from her room. She was more cooperative with coming down to breakfast today. as she hit the landing, she paused. She saw the twins laying in front of the TV, awestruck. Vic was looking at the screen in horror. Vic noticed Raven was there and whipped around quickly, shielding the TV.

"Oh hey Raven! Good morning!"

Raven arched an eyebrow. "Whats on the TV?' she asked. The twins quickly ran out of the room. Vic started backing away in an attempt to cover the TV more.

"Now Raven..."

"I want to see." said Raven, getting annoyed. Vic moved in front of her but Raven ducked away and faced the TV. She froze. On Screen was the wreckage of the bridge.

"I know your friend lives there but we don't know that she..."

"Take me to work. Now." said Raven, her face impassive. Vic followed her quickly out the door."Raven are you sure,cause you could miss today." he said. raven was already in the passenger seat.

"I said Now"

Weight seemed to crush Ravens shoulders down. The force made it difficult to swallow. Raven couldn't imagine life without Jinx. They have been together since they were eleven. They had been through everything together, and now her best friend could be dead when Raven should've been with her.

The tiniest sniffle arose from her nose.

"Well geez, Not like I was expecting a funeral or anything."

Ravens head shot up. Jinx was standing before Raven. She seemed cleaner except for a few cuts and she was wearing weird clothes. But she was alive.

slowly Raven stood. She got out from behind the counter and stood in front of Jinx. They stood staring at each other for a long while, then almost at the same time, they threw their arms around each other. "I thought you were dead." whispered Raven in a gravelly voice. She was surprised by the crack in her voice. She saw a flash of grey hoodie in the corner of her eye, but she ignored it. Jinx was also surprised to find her eyes were kind of itchy. She had no idea how scared she was until now.

Still holding each other, the two sunk to their knees. "I love you so much!' cried Jinx "I love you too!' said Raven.

"Oh that is so hot." said a large man in a red shirt that said ADONIS on the back. He was promptly knocked out with a book stand.

"Nice shot." said Raven

Jinx helped Raven up and then they went behind the counter. Jinx sighed and laid her head on the counter. The two sat in silence for a while before Jinx lifted her head slightly and nudged Raven. "Hey. Hey Raven. Your land lady still taking you shopping? I am currently wearing mens underwear."

"That information is something that will enrich my life forever Jinx thank you." said Raven in a monotone. "I like you. you don't ask questions." said Jinx "But seriously, I have a wedge the size of my fist."

"Thank you for that image."

Jinx rolled her eyes. Raven sighed. "I get my first allowance tomorrow."

"awesome!' cheered Jinx, jumping off the counter to straddle Raven

"Oh that is so hot" said some goth boy that had entered the room. He was promptly knocked out with a paperweight

"Husband Robin? The meal in the middle of the day is ready." said Kori, walking cautiously into the room. Dick Jumped up from his desk. "what!'' he yelled, looking deranged. Kori jumped slightly.

"Oh Kori. sorry" he said, pinching his nose. "Sorry Star, I'll be a while. Im swamped with all this bombing stuff from the other night. Go ahead and start without me."

Kori nodded slightly. "I think i'll just leave it out." she said "I had the thoughts of going to Uncle Galfores. I wanted to inform him of our offspring in person." she said, Rubbing her stomach, which has not yet begun to swell. Dick gave a sleepy smile and kissed Kori. "Tell him and Ryan I say hi ok." he said. Kori nodded dreamily. Dick immediately turned back to his work. Kori began to back out of the room.

"Just remember, the glorback is on the table, If you decide to come out..." said Kori. With a sigh she closed the door and felt her stomach. Grabbing her coat, Kori left the apartment for the train station.

As the Train lurched from yet another stop, Kori let her head rest on the window, her red hair fanning out behind her. Her Uncle and brother lived in Palo alto, which is an hour out of Jump City, and then a train switch in San Francisco.

Being a military brat, Kori had been moved around quite a bit, until she was about eleven. She didm't understand why she and her siblings were moved to their goofy Uncle Galfores until about a year later, when her Uncle told her that her parents weren't coming home.

The train screeched to a stop. Kori stepped off and went to the bus station. She smiled to herself. its been a few days since she came over for lunch. The bus pulled up and dropped her off shortly afterward in the suburbs. After a short walk, Kori was in front of a small house.

"Time to almost greet your great uncle baby." she said before lightly knocking.

"KORI!"

The door swung open and a very large, very hairy man stood in the door. He immediately swung Kori up into his arms. "Oh my little bugdorf! It is so very good to see you!"

"I highly suggest you release now Uncle Galfore." said Kori in a stained voice. "Let her down I wanna hug her!" said a voice behind him. A young man squeezed through the tiny space and hugged his sister.

"I apologize for not having comestibles out yet Kori. I was not aware of you grand visit." said Galfore, lumbering into the house. "So hows Dick?' asked Ryan leading Kori into the living room. "I heard he got mixed up in those bombing last night."

"This violence is getting really out of hand! i did not leave my homeland to be set upon all over again!" grumbled Galfore. Kori cleared her throat. "Richard is of good health. He sustained some burns on his face, but nothing of the drastic sense. I actually have important news"

Both Ryan and Galfore exchanged glances. "is something wrong Kori?" asked Ryan. Kori didn't realize she was so nervous. "I, um well it appeared that I am that of the pregnancy." she stammered

Galfore and Ryan stared at her in silence. Then they both let out a booming roar. "Congratulation my little girl finally of child!" barked Glafore jumping up and seizing both Kori and Ryan in a monster hug. "congratulations sis!" Ryan managed to squeak out. Galfore set them down on the couch. "I shall get the wine! Oh cider for you my love.: he said, ruffling Koris hair. He descended to the basement.

Silently, Ryan scooted closer to Kori. "I am so happy for you." he said, then his smile faded. "Are you going to tell Komi?" Kori hung her head slightly in sadness.

"I don't know."

suddenly Galfore barged in with the wine and cider and they brought up a cheer again

"goodnight." said raven in a dry tone down the hall. She was wearing ghastly yellow pajamas that had belonged to Vic and Sarahs daughter. Unfortunatly Raven was marginally smaller than Karen so this was her twelve year old pajamas. With a sigh, Raven shut the door. After waiting a seconds, Raven went and opened the window.

"Give me a leg!" groaned a voice. Raven rolled her eyes and helped pull Jinx into the room.

"Remember, they get up at six so be out at five." warned Raven, pulling up the sheets. "My god we do act like a couple." said Jinx. "well goodnight lover." said Raven sarcastically crawling under the sheets. "Just know i'll spoon you." said Jinx, crawling in and moved to cuddle Raven. Raven groaned but didn't protest.

"Love you honey." said Jinx

"Love you to babe" said Raven
