Special Sword Administration Bureau
In the medical room of the Bureau, Yukina nervously paces back and forth, waiting on the results of Yomi's blood tests to come in. So far, everything has come back positive, and every test has shown the unexpected results of having the Noro in her body stabilized. Now for the last thirty minutes, everyone has been waiting on the last test and the computer analyzing Yomi's blood to complete its work.
Yomi sits on the bed watching her teacher pace back and forth and listing to the click of Yukina's heels on the cold tiled floor. The steady beeping of the computer analyzing Yomi's blood is the only other sound in the air. Nothing or no one breaks the silence as both Yomi and Yukina are not very talkative, and the doctor present doesn't say a word either. Finally, three beeps louder than the rest comes from the computer before it goes silent and Yomi watches as both Yukina and the doctor closely examine the results of the test.
In an instant, Yomi feels her heart drop and gets a familiar feeling in her stomach as both her president and the doctor turned to face her. Yomi is no stranger to receiving bad news from doctors, she can always tell whenever someone is going to give her bad news from the looks in the Doctor's eyes. Right now Yomi sees the same look in the doctor's eyes she did when she was told she would never use an Okatana ever again.
"Yomi you need to stay here and don't leave this room no matter what," Yukina tells her with her face pale and eyes filled with terror before running out of the room.
"It's going to be ok," The doctor says but Yomi can tell he's scared.
Looking at her arm and the veins she can see on her pale, thin arms, Yomi asks one question. "What's wrong with my blood?"
Cultist Safehouse
In a rundown neglected part of town that's mostly abandoned most of the locals have learned to avoid the old industrial part of town. Amongst the old factories and warehouse dark shadows of people roam and whoever enters that is lucky enough to leave that place alive always say there is a constant feeling of being watched.
A loud smash echoes through the disused warehouse, and when everyone turns their heads, it's clear what caused the noise. The black haired girl has her first stuck in the wall and when she pulls it out dust and tiny pieces of smashed bricks fly out in every direction. The black haired girl goes to strike the wall again only for the blonde girl to catch her arm.
"Calm down, they may have her, but we can still save her," The blonde girl tells her friend.
"I know we can," The dark-haired girl replied, letting out a frustrated animal-like growl. "But Master doesn't want us to storm their base."
"I'm sure he has a plan," The blonde assures her. "Murata said the master always has a plan."
As if on cue, the master appears at that moment. The dark body of the Aradama strides up to the two girls where he dumps a duffle bag at their feet. Quickly both girls open the bags and smile when they see a pair of Ayanokouji uniforms.
"See the master did have a plan," The blonde says as both she and the black haired girl share a dark smile.
Special Sword Administration Bureau
Sana Maniwa has never enjoyed this part of her work. Looking down at the lifeless body that was once Kanami's brother made it hard for Sana to keep her face free from emotions. As much as the Osafune school's president wants to leave the boy to rest in peace, she has to find out how he died since the stab wound on his shoulder shouldn't have been enough to kill him. So far nothing has come up to indicate how he died, the boy's body is free of poisons, his organs show they were working perfectly, and the boy had no illnesses or other health conditions that would have lead to his death.
Sana steps back from the boy's body sighing in frustration after the autopsy she just performed failed to provide any answers. The cause of the boy's death continues to evade her, and its starting to become more and more clear that someone has just taken the life of the boy right out of his body. It was always a possibility given the information they had that when the Aradama took back the fragments of his soul the host that was carrying them would die, but Sana hopped to find some cause of death so she could prevent Kanami and Hiyori meeting the same fate as the Minoseki brother.
Seeing that she would learn nothing more from the body, Sana turns to face her assistant. "Take the body back to the morgue so it can be released for burial."
With a nod of his head, the assistant complies with his orders. The assistant covers the body before pushing the table out of the room, passing by Akane Origami as she enters the room.
"I take it you didn't find anything," Akane says.
"Nothing useful," Sana admits. "Did your research dig up anything useful?"
"Nothing we didn't already know," Akane answers. "It seems that everyone else who looked into deaths similar to that poor boys also found nothing. All the reports I read in my family's archives all say that the victims just appeared to have their souls sucked from their bodies."
"There has to be something we've missed," Sana says. "I'm going to review my tests and results and see if I missed something."
"Yukari is talking with our prisoner as we speak," Akana states hopefully. "Maybe she can give us an insight into what happened when the Kanami's brother died."
Meanwhile, the sound heels echo's off of the ground as Yukari walks through the basement prison facility of the Bureau. Yukari stops before the most secure cell in the builder where she stares at the prisoner inside. Norie Murata calm kneels in her cell with her eyes clothes and breathing steady as if she is meditating but after a brief moment her eyes open and stare coldly into Yukari's own eyes.
"I was beginning to wonder if you were planning on visiting me," Norie says as she stands up and walks closer to the thick metal bars of her cell.
"Tell me," Yukari demands. "What did you do to Yomi?"
"I'll tell you but first…" A dark smile forms on Norie's face that even sends a chill down Yukari's spine. "You will have to answer a question for me?"
"Ask and depending on what you what to know, I may be inclined to answer," Yukari replies, keeping her voice straight despite the sense of danger she gets from listening to Norie's voice.
"Do you really think you are safe here?" Norie asks, and as if on cue, the lights suddenly go out as power across the building dies and Yukina bursts in the room.
"It's a trap Yomi is a trojan horse!" Yukina shouts as she crashes into the room.
Back in the medical room, Yomi suddenly feels her body start to burn, and the Aradama inside her which has been laying dormant suddenly start to claw at her insides desperately trying to escape her body. Yomi instantly curls up into a ball and screams in agony. The doctor in the room quickly rushes to her side, but before he can do anything the dam bursts. Through old cuts on her wrists, the tiny insect Aradama pour through the cuts and swarm the doctor devouring his body before they burst into the air vent and scatter throughout the building.
