Chapter 7, Part 2 - Hugging Practice Pays off?
As I kept my eyes staring at Kyoya. He didn't even flinch under my scrutiny and to be perfectly honest even when angry I'm not that scary. We seemed to be in a deadlock for what seemed like an age before Kyoya finally sighed and placed his hands over the ones I was using to keep him at my eye level. I tensed up completely as he gently removed my hands from his shirt and placed them down by my sides. He didn't let them go so I stayed like that, unable to fight back.
"I can admit I didn't intend for a situation like this one to occur. Before you try to take your anger and concern out on me keep this in mind. Yes I was collecting data on the park, but having you all here allowed me to identify any safety flaws in the park, which could be given to the designers so they could correct them before the general public are given access to this facility. Hunni may be missing right now but this fault needed to be recorded so that further down the line it did not cause a danger to the public and a safety risk. I understand you're concerned but understand at least this was an attempt to protect the safety of the public."
The others just watched the two of us while I crumbled.
'Recording data so that it can prevent harm befalling others. If you look at it from a utilitarian viewpoint Dad then it makes sense. But...'
As he let go of my hands I could feel my body relaxing. "Just lets find Hunni-sempai quickly." I said and turned away from him, crossing my arms across my chest. Kyoya sighed and began to walk in the direction of the changing rooms with a simple 'follow me.' Many of the others followed his lead but Haruhi stayed at that back of the pack. I walked behind the others with her.
"Hey, are you okay. You kind of freaked out at Kyoya-sempai there." She took my hand in hers as a comforting gesture and I sighed.
"I guess so. All I could do was freeze, stand there and watch as Hunni was swept away. He reminds me so much of little Rei, I almost saw her being drifted away as it happened."
Haruhi squeezed my hand, "As much as I understand your anger at being used by Kyoya while we're here this is information that can be used to help prevent situations such as this from occurring again. I get the feeling your taking out your anger on him as his words gave you an excuse." She speculated and I let go of her hand before raising my own and dropping it onto her head and tousling her hair.
"Like usual you can always read me." I said simply before she removed my hand from her head.
"I have been with you for 15 years besides..." I could see Haruhi pouting alittle as she said the next part, "...Can you please stop doing this to me all the time. It's annoying, you're too tall."
I blinked down to her. "I'm not that tall you know. I'm the same height as the twins and they're still growing. I've stopped."
Haruhi did not look impressed by my comment, "Then that means that I'll never get taller."
I shrugged, "You're as tall as you need to be."
We continued to follow behind the rest of the hosts for about another minute or so before we came across a board outside what looked like a building of public toilets. And to cater to the needs of the optically devoid (AKA anyone able to rationalise what exactly we were all infront of) Kyoya began to lay out the situation.
"This is a map of the Tropical Aqua Garden. This is our current location." He informed us pointing to our exact spot with the edge of his pen, "We need to get here. I have a feeling that's where Honey senpai probably ended up. It might be tough because to get there, we'll have to make it through this jungle area, here in the southern block. Distance wise we're talking about 800 meters." As he spoke he dragged his pen down the map to the area that he guessed Hunni had ended up, as he did so I noticed that most of the building areas near the point were spouting bright red question marks over them, surrounding them was almost nothing but printed green. It seemed that many of those areas where not effectively documented or even completed.
'It seems that maybe Kyoya using us for information gathering may have not as been such a bad plan Dad.'
Haruhi voiced my own thoughts up next, "Looks like there are a lot of undeveloped areas. Any idea what might be lurking in those parts of the jungle?"
"Since they're still being developed." Kyoya told us, "I'm afraid I don't know." I raised an eyebrow sceptically at this and he seemed to notice, "Hisoka I'm not lying, in this instance you have no need to be sceptical I rolled my eyes in response but still found myself trusting his words as much as I didn't want to. The twins seemed slightly discouraged by the current news.
"Whatever's out there could be even more dangerous...than alligators." They both stated pointing at the map infront of us with rather unwilling expressions. Tamaki however just seemed to have a determined expression on his face in direct contrast to the twins.
"All right!," He announced pointing his finger into the sky dramatically, "Now this is a mission of survival! I know we can make it through the treacherous jungle in one piece. It is our sworn duty to save Honey senpai!"
I nodded with a conviction and pumped my fist into the air, "We have no time to waste, " I added, pointing to the greenery on my right, "Lets go."
"Hisoka we're meant to be going left." Kyoya pointed to my opposing side and I quickly pointed to the left now, "Okay leys go left." With that announcement and an agreement from Tamaki the host club left the safety of the developed mapped land and began to walk into the unknown hazard of green which was the indoor jungle. We walked for about 7 minutes trying not to trip over the odd stray root and not walk into the constant branch. The word realistic would be an understatement to describe the world we had gotten ourselves surrounded by, to add to the experience strange animal calls would ring throughout the area and give it an eerie feel at times.
"Wow, this place is just like a real jungle, huh?" Tamaki observed as we walked.
"Yeah," Haruhi agreed, "...and I keep hearing all these really strange animal calls." As she said that another bird call rang out and I fought the urge to jump.
"You don't think that all those animal sounds...could belong to the real thing, do you?" The twins speculated sounding slightly nervous.
Yet another bird call rang out through the jungle. I turned to Kyoya begrudgingly, as undoubtedly if anyone would know it would be him.
"So Kyoya, are those bird calls the real thing? I mean we have already had alligators so it wouldn't really that much of a stretch."
"To be honest, I'm not sure." He admitted, "But I do know that my family always strives for authenticity whatever the cost."
"So that means probably." I stated and narrowly avoided impacting with another stray root. Unfortunately as while I managed to stay upright someone else didn't. This time it was Mori sempai.
A groan signalled his fall and we all turned around suddenly to see the silent host sprawled out on his back with a banana peel covering his face. I'm guessing that he must have tripped on it. God only knows where it came from.
"Mori sempai is...acting as clumsy as you do, boss." The twins remarked together much to Tamaki's outrage.
I knelt down next to Mori sempai and leant him my hand as he stood up as a comforting gesture, he took it and stood again.
'He really is worried about Hunni, dad. It's so obvious, no matter how straight-faced Mori usually is.'
As I thought that I noticed the area in which we were standing begin to darken and suddenly drop in temperature. To top it off the slight rumbling sound of storm cloud began to echo...
'Wait what. Storm clouds?'
"Uh oh, it's about time for the squall." Kyoya announced checking his watch, he then proceeded to point to a nearby wooden shelter that had been built off the ground which somehow I had not noticed until now. Briskly all 7 of us made our way under the shelter as the squall (short, sudden burst of rain) began.
I leaned on one of the sides and stared at the rain through the doorway.
'I feel so bad. I can't believe that Hunni is stuck by himself in weather like this.' I thought to myself.
"Hey Mori senpai," Haruhi announced which caused us all to look over to her and Mori, "... you seem to be really close to Honey senpai. Are the two of you like childhood friends?" She asked peeking my interest.
"You mean you don't know..." Hikaru began looking over at Haruhi.
"...that they're cousins?" Kaoru finished and I did a double take.
'Wait what?'
"You're kidding me. They're related?" Haruhi blanched and Kyoya nodded. Each of the hosts began to explain the situation to us. Everyone coming in and giving their own part of the story at a time.
"The Morinozuka's have been serving the Haninozuka family for generations. (Kyoya) However, two generations ago, the families became relatives by marriage and the master-servant relationship soon became a thing of the past. (Hikaru) But even so, Mori senpai has always made a point to accompany Honey senpai. (Kaoru) Must really get his blood going. The blood of a loyal servant flows like a mighty river through Mori Senpai's veins. (Tamaki).
After all of them had contributed enough the twins appeared to be very moved by the story and spoke with lots of emotion in their voices, "Such a beautiful story! I'm touched!"
"I don't know if I call it a beautiful story." Haruhi told them plainly and I agreed, turning to Kyoya I poked him and he looked down at me.
"Yeh, I've been here since almost the start of the school year. How come I'm only just hearing about his now?"
"Probably because you never brought it up at all." He told and I looked away.
"I guess so, but it's still abit strange to try and wrap my head around given how long I've known them."
Haruhi approached Mori who was busy staring off into the rain like I had been, "Hey Mori senpai, it's gonna be all right." Haruhi told him touching his arm in a comforting way with a smile, I'm sure that Honey senpai is safe. He's a lot tougher than you might think he is, and if he gets hungry, the trees are full of bananas."
"Bananas?" The twins and I repeated in unison.
"What's he going to say?" Tamaki questioned and we all listened in to try and hear Mori's next words. Surprisingly Mori placed his much larger hand on Haruhi's head and ruffled her hair.
"You're right." He agreed, smiling slightly down at her. As this was happening I hear sniffling from behind me. I turned so that my back was to Haruhi and Mori, so that I was facing Tamaki.
"Don't tell me Mori senpai is after my spot as Haruhi's daddy!" He whimpered slightly and stared with wide eyes behind my shoulder over at Haruhi and Mori. I shook my head.
"Of course not Tamaki." Just as that seemed to be calming him down, Hikaru interrupted which caused a small tick to form on my forehead.
"Nobody wants that spot but you boss." He told him bluntly and naturally Kaoru joined in, "That's kinda creepy, when you think about it."
"What?" Tamaki announced sounding outraged, "Who're you calling creepy?" I smiled abit and heard a phone go off, I looked to my right and saw Kyoya answer his black and red mobile phone.
"Hello, it's me." He began, "Well, we've had an incident that's caused some trouble."
Figuring it would be rude to listen in to his conversation I focused back on the twins and Tamaki.
The twins were pointing at Tamaki and mocking him with the phrase "You're a big-o perv." I must admit, it was quite amusing to see Tamaki standing there trying not to explode under the twins words.
"Shut up! I'm not a perv."
He denied repeatedly and the twins upped their game, looping their arms around each other's shoulders and chanting, "Senpai's a perv for Haruhi. Senpai's a perv for Haruhi."
I shook my head once more as I heard Kyoya's phone snap shut. While Tamaki was still veraciously denying the twins chanting I listened to what Kyoya was saying. I happened to be the only one looking like they were paying attention.
"My family's private police force is going to send in a search and rescue team to help us. They're better equipped to find Honey senpai than we are. So let's just go back to the gate and wait there." I nodded.
"That seems logical." I told him. As I spoke I noticed him looking around the shelter.
"Is something wrong?" I asked him. With a slightly detached expression he turned to all 4 of us.
"Hey, where are Mori and Haruhi?" With that sentence Tamaki, Hikaru and Kaoru paused in their antics and like me began to frantically look around the shelter and the surrounding jungle from where we stood. They weren't there, there was nothing but 5 hosts and an abundance of trees. I slowly felt myself grow nervous.
"Oh shit!" I muttered.
At my response Kyoya sighed, "Let's just start looking for them. They can't have gone too far."
Tamaki who seemed to pale at the news of the missing host members began to briskly walk out from the shelter, the rest of us followed.
"Let's go. This is getting worse and worse." He said and pointed into the trees. He began walking until Kyoya pointed out that a direction to our left would be the much more likely way for them to go.
With that we started searching, and even more briskly than we had before.
We walked for several minutes with the only words being Tamaki's worried 'do you see them yet?' as we searched.
As we searched I noticed Kyoya stopped for a moment but by the time I turned around to ask if everything was okay he had started walking again.
After the 18th, 'do you see them yet?' I was beginning to lose my patience with Tamaki. I mean I know that he's worried and all, so am I but...he really is beginning to sound like a child asking 'Are we there yet?' on a road trip.
After about 4 more 'do you see them yet? 's from Tamaki he stopped mid-sentence. Everyone noticed.
"Hey boss, is something the matter?" Hikaru asked turning to face out King. Immediately Tamaki 'shoosd' him and we all fell silent. After a second or so he veered off our path and began to head slightly left into the woods. Not wanting to let him go alone I hurried off after him, as did the twins and Kyoya. As I was about to voice up to Tamaki, Kyoya beat me to it.
"What's the matter Tamaki?" He asked looking around the 'path' we were now following.
Tamaki pointed forwards in response to Kyoya's question, "I hear something. I think something's going on." As he said this he picked up his pace and we all found ourselves walking much more briskly after Tamaki. As we followed him I could begin to hear things off in the distance. It sounded like several crashes, bangs and loud thuds. Our walking pace increased, then we were jogging...and then we were running. As we did the noises got louder and louder and louder and louder. While running I found myself placing a hand against myself to stop my chest jousting about too much, as I knew that would cause me some back pain in the near future.
We ran and ran for about a minute before we came across any other forms of human life. In the distance I could finally make out figures. One was large with a yellow clad blur beside them, which must be Mori and Haruhi. As we ran closer I could make out a smaller figure alittle ways away from Mori and Haruhi, which could only have been...Hunni. Surrounding them was several masses of black. We got closer and I noticed that many of the black shapes were not inanimate blurs but did in fact look like people...
Oh my God those are people!
We finally ran into the clearing and I noticed Hunni was standing in the centre of the piles of black clad people. While Haruhi seemed to be staring in disbelief at something.
"Haruhi!" Tamaki called out as we got close, "Haruhi, are you all right!?"
Hearing Tamaki's words Hunni turned around and smiled at us as arrived.
"Hey, it's Tama-chan."
The twins stopped in their tracks and seemed surprised to see Hunni, "Oh, wow." Hikaru exclaimed suddenly.
"You okay, senpai?" Kaoru asked sounding concerned and Hunni nodded with a smile. Tamaki flung himself around Haruhi and told her that he had been worried about her, I on the otherhand had some of my own hugging to do.
"Hunni..." I began as I slowly approached him, Hunni looked up at me with wide eyes before I got down on my knees next to him then proceeding to wrap my arms around his small frame in a hug.
"...I'm so glad to see your safe. You're not hurt are you?" I asked him as I held him to me. Hunni shook his head.
"I'm so glad." I told him as like a breath of fresh air, relief flooded its way through my system. As I held him I felt hesitant hands slowly begin to return my hug. I flinched at first and then sighed before pulling him even closer to me. I'm guessing that my hugging practice with Tamaki earlier was paying off.
After a moment I let Hunni go and stood up, when I met his gaze he was beaming at me.
"Hiso-chan, you hugged me. You touched me." I nodded with a fond smile.
"Well it's a special occasion. Your safe after all." I told him and he nodded. I was distracted next by the twins who were kneeling down next to some of the beat up men, who I'm now supposing are members of Kyoya's families private police force.
As the twins knelt down next to some of the men they were casually poking the cheeks of two of the police members.
"I'm not sure what happened here, but at least they're still alive." Hikaru commented as the man he was poking twitched occasionally.
"It's pretty amazing that this is Honey Senpai's work." Kaoru continued as he met eyes with his twin, "He must have really been holding back."
Wait, What?
Once again Haruhi voiced my opinions to the rest of the group.
As she spoke she pinched Tamaki's hand who proceeded to wince and let go of her.
"Huh? What do you mean he was holding back?" She asked mid pinch.
The twins looked back surprised and Kaoru began the explanation game first this time, "So then..."
Then it was Hikaru again, "You don't know about senpai?"
"Clearly not." I stated crossing my arms across my chest.
"The Haninozuka's are famous for their martial arts. Not only have they helped train the police and SDF forces but they've also worked with several overseas militaries."
I stood there staring at Hunni as Kyoya interjected some more information to Haruhi and I.
"Honey senpai in particular has been called the dreadnought of the Haninozuka family. By the time he was in middle school, he'd become the national champion in both karate and judo."
I stared at Hunni sempai as he turned around and smiled innocently at us all. As I tried to wrap my head around all of this all that could go through my head was innocent ideas of Hunni.
'But dad...I'm so confused now...he looks so sweet and innocent...it's like these guys are attempting to shatter my perception of the world.'
Tamaki walked up next to Kyoya and like everyone seemed to be doing today he explained even more, "Mori Senpai's no slouch either. He won the national championship in kendo when he was just in middle school."
My stares made their way over to Mori sempai who looked over at us when Tamaki mentioned his name. Admittedly looking at Mori physically it would be easier to believe that he's a kendo champion as opposed to when you look at Hunni's much smaller frame, but then again that would got against what I said to Renge about stereotyping. I sighed and tapped Kyoya on the shoulder again as the twins started speaking to Hunni, like earlier he looked down at me but he looked amused this time.
"You're making a habit of this aren't you?" He told me and I nodded.
"Not going to deny that. But seriously...how am I only finding out about these things now, again?"
"Again, maybe because you haven't asked." He replied and I pouted.
"Fine then, maybe I'll ask more often."
"Says the one with all the secrets." I glared at him slightly as he subtly mocked me and I and let go of his sleeve. Thankfully a distraction arose from the beaten up soldiers that littered the surrounding clearing around us.
They had all congregated in a sort of semi-circle around Hunni and where bowing to him with their heads lightly touching the ground, the lowest bow and most respectful that one could offer.
"We humbly apologize!" One of the soldiers announced on behalf of the others, many of the men then proceeded to name what Dojo they had been trained at: Ishizuka Dojo, Todoroki Dojo, and Otake Dojo were some of the few that had been mentioned.
"We are in your debt!" They told Hunni and I was alittle surprised. Hunni seemed to be too,
"Why? Is something wrong?"
As the apparent speaker for the police force explained to Hunni I walked around Kyoya to Haruhi who was standing between him and Tamaki and wrapped my arms around her frame and resting my chin on her right shoulder, pressing my body up against hers as a way of supporting myself. I figured I'd take advantage of her complete focus on Hunni and the police force.
The soldiers hadn't quite finished yet however, "We were unaware that we were searching for Mitsukuni Haninozuka. We've committed a terrible offense here.
I apologize for this confrontation. But my Dojo will be so excited to hear that I've come face to face with the great Haninozuka. I cherish this moment."
Haruhi tensed under my hold and I smiled slightly. Hunni-sempai really is a much more complicated person than I thought, end from what I've seen of everyone else, Tamaki mostly...they seem to be too. I'm just like them, I'm nothing special, I have revelations of my own which they don't know. I wonder how much more of them I'll get to see while I'm here?
I pulled Haruhi closer to me and smiled into her shoulder, as I did I watched Hunni take Mori's wrist and pull him down to a level that he could pat him affectionately on the head.
"Takashi, you did an amazing job of protecting Haru-chan. I bet you were pretty lonely without me around, huh?" He cheered and then placed his hands on his hips, wide brown eyes smiling up at his cousin.
Mori kept his straight face but replied anyways, "I don't know if I'd say that."
I smiled wider as we watched Hunni and Mori. After a moment or so I heard a rather annoyed sigh from underneath me which caused me to look down at a mop of chocolate brown hair.
"Hisoka, could you get off me, you're getting heavy."
I complied and stretched my back as I got of my God-sister, "Pity, you're quite comfortable...but I guess it can't be helped. Besides I know I'm not that heavy...I think..."
Haruhi turned around and looked at me critically, "You try carrying your weight on your back, it's not pleasant."
I smiled and knocked my fist against my palm like I'd just had an idea, "Exactly. I should carry you back, then we'll be even?" I suggested to receive a very blunt answer."
"No!"
"Well it was worth a shot." I sighed dramatically and looked up. The rest of the hosts were gazing at us and I suddenly felt self-conscious.
"Why are you all looking at us like that?" I asked jumping back alittle to see the twins smirking at me.
"What?!" I demanded as Haruhi shook her head.
"Seriously, guys. What?"
-+- (Time skip) -+-
Kyoya spent a good 5 minutes speaking with the captain of his private police force while I got into a play argument with the twins so naturally Tamaki tried to come to my rescue which resulted on the twins changing target to assault him. Eventually the police force left and we soon enough found our way back to the area we had been occupying earlier with the swimming pools, tables and beach chairs.
"My camera!" I announced running towards the gadget which I had abandoned on a table, "I'm so sorry I ever left you." I told it and hugged the silver device to me.
The twins raised an eyebrow at me. I responded by taking a picture of them while their eyebrows were still raised. I took a look up at the artificial sky, it was no longer showing the bright blue from earlier but had changed to represent hues of orange, pink and yellow. Even thought it was not a real sky it was still quite breath-taking.
As the others caught up to us Hikaru voice another holiday idea.
"You know, maybe we should go to the beach next." He suggested which caused everyone to look at him.
"Yeah, the beach would be nice." Kaoru agreed and the two of them high fived where they stood.
"You idiots," Tamaki said as he reached us all, "Haruhi and Hisoka aren't interested in anything like that." The host king pointed to Haruhi and I as he announced this for us.
I felt a tick appear in my forehead and I placed my hands on my hips.
"You know Tamaki, maybe I'd like to choose an opinion for myself." Thankfully before I could say anything else to Tamaki Haruhi interjected her own opinion.
"Actually, I might like to go to the beach. I may not be into this silly water park, but I like the ocean. It would be nice to go to the beach. And it's so pretty."
Tamaki observed Haruhi as she spoke as he spoke he blush alittle which made me raise an eyebrow.
'Seriously?'
"Yeah. All right." Tamaki announced raising a hand to the sky, "Then that's where we'll go next time."
"We're all gonna go to the beach, Tama-Chan?" Hunni questioned from atop Mori's shoulders. Tamaki nodded with a smile and I smiled too. It was hard to go the beach with 3 younger children so I hadn't been in quite a while. I removed my hands from my hips and found myself wriggling my bare toes on the smooth ground.
While atop Mori's head Hunni looked down at his cousin, "That'll be fun, don't you think?"
"Yeah." Mori glanced up at Hunni with a smile. That made me happy too, this had to quite possibly be the first time I'd ever seen Mori smile.
It was refreshing.
-+- (Timeskip) -+-
It took a while as Kyoya had to do one last clear up of this whole misunderstanding with his families police force, but eventually we all got changed back into our school uniforms and were meant to be leaving the theme park. I also got some really awesome news from the twins, I was allowed to keep the swimsuit and everything they gave me to go with it. They said they had originally designed it for me so it was only right that I kept it, so in the end I scored a highly expensive swimsuit and sandals for free. Words can hardly express how much I love this swimsuit.
I let Haruhi go on home without me for now, unlike last time when the twins had driven her home, Hunni and Mori decided to drive Haruhi home today. The twins left after trying to co-orse me into a swimwear photoshoot to which I told them to ask Haruhi instead, predictably she said no, Tamaki ended up chasing them saying that he would protect me from the twins. In the end I wanted to stay behind so I could speak to Kyoya about my rash actions earlier.
I stood with all my stuff by the entrance door to the theme park next to the road, and watched the sky. The clouds like the false sky inside had begun to glow a warm caramel and pink.
Soon enough Kyoya came out of the theme park building and looked at me as I was still standing there.
"I thought you would have left with Haruhi and the others." He told me and I shook my head.
"I wanted to apologize to you. You know...for my actions earlier. I shouldn't have lashed out at you, you didn't deserve that." I told him and bowed my head to him in apology. It took a moment before Kyoya sighed, it was abit strange to hear him sigh as usually I was the only one to sigh.
"One of us had gone missing, your outburst was completely understandable. I'm not going to hold it against you as it was my bringing everyone here that caused it." He told me and I felt a breath of relief, I'd almost expected him to be angry that I couldn't control my temper or something.
I raised my head to see Kyoya checking his phone, "Tamaki seems to have realised that he left without you and has asked me to drive you home, well more accurately to the park near your home. Is that fine with you?"
I was abit surprised but it explained why I hadn't seen Tamaki in a while.
"Oh, of course. Since I have no idea where we are I couldn't really walk home myself." I told him and he quickly typed something into his phone before pocketing it again.
"I've sent a message to my driver, he should be here in roughly 10 minutes." He informed me and I nodded while wriggling my toes in my shoes. We waited in comfortable silence before about a minute or so before I finally broke the silence.
"Kyoya, can I please try something?"
Kyoya didn't change expression as I asked my rather strange question but instead asked an eerily similar question to Tamaki's earlier.
"Is this going to be a positive experience for me?"
I nodded with a smile, "Maybe, depending on your definition of a positive experience. Just promise you won't hurt me."
"I promise then." He said and watched me with a curious glint to his eye. Repeating my actions from with Tamaki I walked closer to Kyoya before very slowly embracing him in a light hug.
"You're doing alot of hugging today, aren't you?" He told me nonchalantly and I nodded into him.
"To be honest this is my 3rd hug today from someone who isn't my siblings. I used Tamaki as my practice earlier before I hugged Hunni. I think it means I'm letting myself get closer to the people in this club and that I can let myself be more free in my actions, silly but that's what I think."
Instead of saying anything Kyoya brought one arm and placed it on my back, the action caused me to jump slightly but I soon ignored it. We stood there for several moments as I focused on my breathing. It seemed that so long as they promised me that they wouldn't hurt me I could let myself close enough to hug them so long as I initiated the contact. Compared to the fact that I would flinch when someone's hand brushed mine when I arrived it was a massive improvement.
"I still don't know why you fear the touch of other but it's interesting to see how you're adjusting to us and our presence. I'd keep it up, afterall if you do then I'm more likely to find out my answers." With those words Kyoya let me go and I took a step back from him.
"Well I've already got You, Tamaki and Hunni down for people who I can hug, although I may have to keep working on it to fully trust that you won't hurt me when I touch you. That may take a while." I told him as I counted down the hosts on my fingers.
"I'm certain that no one of us will ever hurt you deliberately, but I'm sure that if you asked Tamaki then he'd hug you every hour until you got used to it."
I suddenly got the image of Tamaki following me around school waiting for every possible opportunity to hug me. I even managed to envision him being dragged around by me after refusing to let me go all while he wore a puppy dog face. I began to laugh as I imagined it, unable to help myself I found myself laughing more and more before I had to try and catch my breath.
"Any particular reason for you moment of hilarity or are you finally losing your sanity, I'd say at 15 that would be quite a disappointment."
I shook my head and laughed again, "I'm just laughing at life."
Kyoya raised an eyebrow and leaned against the wall, "Life? Seems abit vague if you ask me."
"The possibility of life." I told him and gestured to the sky with a grin and tried not to trip over my bags, "And the possibility of Tamaki, the crazy glue holding my life together in its current artist's frame. Life being the paint that stains us all, naturally."

AN - So what did everyone think. Am I moving at a decent pace with Hisoka and Kyoya's relationship? It's kind of hard to decide about how much progress I can make with the two of them in the plots of each episode.
As always please review.
