AN: I am very sorry for the super long delay in getting this chapter out. I had to get a new laptop, and had to go and transfer all of my things from the old on to the new one, and that took some time; and I lost a lot of my motivation when that happened. And just recently I've had to start looking for a new job, and thankfully I was able to find one. So without any more delays, here is the next chapter.
_Dream Realm_
"So what would you like to do Gohan?"
With a large smile on his face, Gohan had a single word answer for his father. "Training".
"Ha-ha are you sure you want to do that on the first night kiddo? I mean, sure I'm up for a good training session, but before we do anything I want to talk to you alright." Goku stated with a serious look on his face and moved to a nearby tree.
"Um alright dad, whatever you say." Gohan said making his way to where his dad walked to.
"Ok first off, I have been listening in for the last few months, and I have been watching what has been going on since that first night. So, I am pretty caught up on everything. Now I know that it has been seven months since the Cell Games, I also know that for awhile you were having some serious dreams about that night. Correct?" Getting a nod from Gohan, Goku continued. "Now I want you to listen to me Gohan, nothing that happened that day is you fault. I made mistakes, I should have done some things differently, and I see that now. So after some of those comments that you made earlier today I can see why Chi-Chi slapped you. However you shouldn't worry too much about it son, since it is the hormones that are affecting her mood so much. Heck when she was carrying you, she would throw random stuff at me if I came home a little late, and boy did it hurt when it made contact."
Getting a chuckle from Gohan, put a smile on the Earth raised Saiyan's face. "So, what I want you to do tomorrow is go to her and give her a nice big huge. She will always love you, and there will be times when she does things that you won't quite understand until you are older. Trust me son, I was still learning how to be a proper father, and maybe I can make up for some of the missed time while we are here." Goku said while giving Gohan a hug, which Gohan happily returned.
After the embrace, the two moved to an area where they would be able to train. "I hope you are ready dad, I've picked up some neat little tricks from Vegeta and Piccolo, and have put my own little twist on some of them." Gohan said while moving into the Demon Stance. While lowering into the Turtle Hermit Stance Goku replied with a simple little smirk. With that, the two went at it; nothing too serious, just some friendly sparing between father and son.
As the battle came to a close, Goku noticed quite a bit of Vegeta's fighting style in Gohan; to the point that Gohan even had a slight variation to the Galick Gun attack. "Good session Gohan, but it's getting close to morning, and I want you to remember what you promised me, alright kiddo."
"Alright dad; are we going to be doing this every night, or is it limited to so many nights?"
"No limits that I currently know of, and if you ever feel like not coming to visit, just don't walk through the door." Goku said as he gave Gohan one last hug, before turning to walkthrough a door that appeared.
"Bye dad, see you soon." With that Goku was gone; and Gohan saw a new door appear to his left. "Well I guess that is how I leave here. This place is pretty cool."
_End Dream Realm_
What surprised Gohan the most was after their little match, he awoke the next morning and wasn't the least bit tired. 'Hmm, I guess I won't need to worry about waking up tired, which is a good thing, otherwise mom might worry I'm getting sick.'
_Line Break_
Moments after waking up, Gohan quickly took a shower and got dressed. After he was finished, he sought out his mother's energy. Finding it in the living room, Gohan made his way to her. Once he made his was to the giving room, Gohan saw his mother reading an unknown novel and decided to make his presence known.
"Mom, umm can I, umm talk to you for a second?" Gohan managed to force out.
Looking at her son, Chi-Chi put the book down and turned towards him, with an apologetic look on her face. "Gohan, I want to apologies for slapping you last night. I shouldn't have done that, and it doesn't help anything. Can you forgive me?"
With a semi shocked face Gohan quickly responded. "Of course I can mom, I actually wanted to come down here and talk to you about last night. I just wanted to let you know I get why you slapped me. I was told the very same day by dad that nothing that happened was my fault. None of us knew that Cell was able to do what he did. I also know that with you being pregnant, that you are under a lot of stress; and I need to be strong, not only for you, but also the baby. You don't need anything else to worry about."
Chi-Chi just looked at Gohan, and motioned for him to come by here. Once there, Chi-Chi embraced him in as big of a hug that she could. 'My little boy has had to grow up too fast.' Chi-Chi thought to herself with a few tears making their way down her face.
_Line Break_
Over the next two months both Gohan and his father Goku met in the Realm of Battle {1}. The first night Gohan was extremely emotional. First he was able to see and speak to his father for the first time since being on the Look Out. And secondly, Gohan heard straight from his father's mouth, and seeing his father actually saying that that nothing that happened that day was his fault made all the difference.
Goku was truly shocked, he knew that Gohan taking lessons from Piccolo and Vegeta would greatly help, however Gohan was now starting to show much more of an aggressive streak. Before he would lack the drive to finish off an enemy; now he would show signs of having more Saiyan Pride. Smirking as he delivered a hard kick or after winning a sparing session were just some of the traits he had acquired.
Something like this truly made Goku happy. His son was now beginning to see himself as a warrior.
_Line Break_
Higher above than the eye could see, stood a floating building called the Lookout; and the beings that live on the Lookout are the current guarding of Earth Dende, Dende's assistant Mr. Popo, and the former guarding Piccolo. Currently Piccolo was engrossed in a conversation with a certain Prince. Said Prince is the last full blooded Saiyan alive known as Vegeta.
"I'm telling you the boy is up to something. For the last two months every night I notice that his energy has been erratic. I'm positive that it isn't dreams causing this. Not only that, he hasn't trained a single day with me, and every time I see him, he is either helping out his mother, doing school work, or spending time with that human friend of his. So tell me Piccolo, do you know what the boy has been up too?" Demanded a very irritated Vegeta.
"Your guess is as good as mine Vegeta. I can assure you that he is not using Mind Battle, as once you access that state, it is just like leaving your physical body. You can still sense his energy, but nothing that is gained can be used in the real world, simply because it is only for strengthening your mind. And before you go and demand answers out of him, just let him be. When he wants to talk to us he will." Piccolo simply answered back.
Glaring harshly at Piccolo, Vegeta walked up and got into the older Namekians face. "If I find out that you know what he is doing, I'll come up here and beat you to a pulp."
"Whatever you say Vegeta." Piccolo answered with a calmness that made Vegeta's blood boil. With that Vegeta blasted back to Capsule Corp
Moving towards the former Guarding of Earth, Dende asked Piccolo something that he knew if Vegeta heard, would not make him very happy. "You do know what is going on, don't you Piccolo?"
Looking at the young guarding, Piccolo answered his question. "Of course I do. If you don't remember, I formed a bond with him while we were preparing for the Saiyan's arrival, so there is nothing that Gohan does or thinks that I am unable to see. However Vegeta is just being Vegeta. Gohan suffered from nightmares for about three months or so after The Cell Games, and only during the last two months have I noticed that he isn't being affected by them. So if he has found a way to keep them away by someway, then we shouldn't bother him. The kid has been through enough, and I believe that it's time he is able to just be a kid."
_Line Break_
[Slight Time Skip]
"So Gohan I'm wondering when are you going to start training with Vegeta again? I know that during the last two and a half months, you didn't want to risk something happening, but I haven't seen Vegeta more than a few minutes, and that is usually only to get something to eat." Lime asked as she finished her math work for the day.
Looking at Lime Gohan shrugged. "Truthfully I'm not sure. I want to once the baby is born, but I know that mom is going to need a lot of help. So I'll have to split my time up even more."
"That's true, but hey, I would love to be able to help out with anything. I know that my parents would as well."
"I know you would Lime, and I believe that I'm going to need all the help that I can get. Gohan said with a slight chuckle.
_Line Break_
Today was the big day. It was the tenth of February. The baby was due anytime now. Everybody was there, and patiently awaiting the birth of the new member of the Son family. In order to insure that the privacy of the Son's wasn't intruded upon, Bulma a few months before hand started up a private hospital wing for Capsule Corporation, and the Z-Fighters. It would be a better idea than to have one of the Z-Fighters go to a regular hospital, and have someone recognize them.
Gohan was sitting next to Lime and every time he heard a scream, Gohan's eyes' widened and made him shutter.
"You have to relax Gohan, I'm sure everything is alright. From what you have told me, Bulma has hired the best medical team possible." Lime said while placing her hand on Gohan's shoulder. Looking at her, Gohan nodded and took a couple of deep breaths. "Better?"
"Yeah."
It took about another thirty minutes, before all of the screaming stopped, and now everyone was looking towards the door to the room that Chi-Chi was staying in. Finally a gentleman in his mid thirties walked out and made his way first to Bulma. Once their conversation was over, Bulma turned around with a large smile on her face.
"Ok, first up, everything went fine, no problems of any kind. The doctors just wanted to be extra careful and ran a few quick tests on the baby. Now that that is out of the way, Gohan why don't you come with me and after Gohan has had a chance to see his new sibling, the rest of you that want to get a look can." Bulma simply stated.
Getting out of his chair Gohan walked over to Bulma and the duo made there way into Chi-Chi's room.
"Hi Gohan, why don't you come say hello to you new baby brother?" Asked the now mother of two, while positioning the baby better so Gohan could get a good look at him. Once Gohan got a look at him, he let out a small gasp.
"H… He looks like just like dad did. 'Wow, I can't believe it; I wonder if mom has come up with a name yet?' Once Gohan thought of that, he quickly asked. "Did you come up with a name yet mom?" Gohan asked while moving the hair out of his younger brother's face.
Smiling Chi-Chi nodded. "Yes I did. What do you think about Goten?"
Gohan thought for a second. "I like it. It keeps the Go part just like dad, and I have, but where did 'ten' come from?
Chuckling slightly Ch-Chi answered. "I just thought that, with today being the tenth, that the two parts had a pretty nice ring to them, don't you agree?"
Laughing lightly Gohan answered. "Yeah, you're right about that."
Soon after mother and son spent a few more minutes with the new addition to their family, the others were allowed to visit. Everyone was congratulating Gohan and Chi-Chi. Even Vegeta went in and took a quick look at the boy, and frowned slightly.
"The boy doesn't have a tail." When Vegeta said that, the others in the room jumped slightly.
"Hey he's right, I wonder why; I thought all Saiyans were born with one." Asked the former monk.
"Normally yes, all Saiyans are usually born with a tail. However, that doesn't include Half-Breed Saiyans. I'm guessing, just like with Trunks, that the human genes have been more dominant in Kakarot's second child. Oh well." With that, Vegeta walked out of the room.
"Wow, I'm really surprised that he answered, aren't you Krillin." Yamacha asked slinging an arm around said monk.
"Yeah, normally Vegeta would have just glared at us and made a comment about us being stupid weaklings and then walked out. But hey I'm not complaining."
However Gohan had other thoughts entering in his mind at that same moment. 'I'm wondering if not having a tail will lessen the likelihood that both Trunks' and Goten are able to become just as strong as we are? I'll have to ask Vegeta that later.'
Soon everyone had left and it was only Lime, The Son's and The Briefs' that remained. After eating dinner, Gohan was making his way towards his room, when Vegeta stopped him. 'Boy how convenient.' Gohan thought before turning towards Vegeta. However before he was able to speak, Vegeta began the conversation.
"I take it you noticed how close you new brother resembles your father, am I correct?"
"Umm, yeah, I thought it was pretty cool. I know that humans tend to have certain features from both parents, but I've never thought that one could look almost like a parent."
"You need to learn more about your Saiyan heritage. To put it simple terms, all second born children of Siayans will either look just like their mother or father. It was originally thought only the Royal Family had that trait, however it soon became apparent, that all Saiyans had it. Unfortunately I was too young at the time to remember the reason that some of our scientists came up with."
"So did my real Grandfather look just like my dad then?"
Rolling his eyes, Vegeta answered rather harshly. "Weren't you paying attention to what I just said? All second born children will look like one of their parents. So yes, from what Radditz told me, your father looked just like his. That is why Frieza slightly freaked out back on Namek when your father appeared on the battle field. He thought he was looking at Bradock."
Gulping, Gohan gathered his thoughts. "Okay, thanks for the info Vegeta, but there is something that I wanted to talk to you about." Getting nothing from the Prince, Gohan figured that he was waiting for him to continue. "I am wondering since both Trunks and Goten don't have tails, will that affect their ability to become stronger?"
Looking at Gohan with a dumb look, Vegeta felt like hitting himself. "You do realize that you no longer have a tail, and you have reached the second level of Super Saiyan, right?"
"Yeah, but I was born with one; doesn't that make a difference?"
"Not really. Even if a tail was lost during a fight, a Saiyan could still beat an enemy fairly easily. Yes they would feel somewhat uneven, but once it grew back they would get stronger. However I only made note of it because it is a symbol of pride for Saiyans; and not having it makes you look like a damn human." Gohan began to snicker after Vegeta just compared himself to a human. "Get that thought out of your head boy, I may have lost my tail, but I am nowhere close to this weakling race. Do you understand me?" Vegeta's voice didn't raise, but his eyes had turned teal, meaning he wasn't in the mood.
Quickly stopping his snickering; Gohan made one more comment before leaving. "I'm done Vegeta and really thanks for the info. I'll see you in the morning."
_Line Break_
Making his way through the door, Gohan quickly spotted his father and made his way to him.
"Hey dad, did you see what happened earlier today?"
"I sure did, I can't believe that nine months have passed by so quickly, and now I have another son."
"I know what you mean dad; I'm pretty stoked to have a little brother. I was worried for a while that if I had a sister I wouldn't know what to do."
"Oh I'm sure you would have done fine son…" Before Goku was able to finish his thought a small blue man appeared.
"Goku, you have been summoned to stop some trouble makers in Hell. Pikkon is currently off doing some work for the Grand Kai." Yelled the short Kai.
"Ah man, sorry Gohan duty calls, how about we continue this another time?"
"It's alright dad, you have to do what you have to. Good luck." After the exchange, Goku quickly ran to the exit door and vanished. Noticing that he wasn't alone Gohan turned and saw the man known as King Kai. "So you're King Kai, it's an honor to meet you sir." Gohan bowed to the North's Overseer.
"Like wise Gohan, you are truly your father's son. However you seem to have better manners than him. I must return to my spot in Other World. I'm sorry for breaking up your time with your father."
"It's alright sir. I think I'll just go back to my body, and pay a visit to Goten, bye."
"That kid is something else; the strongest, but also a caring heart. I hope Goku is teaching him some useful techniques." With that the blue Kai vanished and all quiet.

Well there is chapter 11. I hope everything was alright.
{1}I wasn't sure what else to call that little spot, so that is what I came up with.
Also the second born child physical trait is something that I just thought was pretty cool. That plus Goku did look just like Bardock minus the scars, so yeah. One last quick note, I read a story about Goten getting his name from the 10th day of some month, but I don't remember which one it was.So that is why I did it that way.
Oh, if anyone knows of a story where Gohan and Videl were friends when they were younger, and Gohan goes Great Ape, and those two don't remember anything about knowing each other before hand, could I get the name of the story please, thanks.
