Truth Comes Out!
Ok well my test is done and over with, doctor called and said there was nothin wrong. Warning if they ever make you get a Hida Scan with CCK be ready for pain and a two hour photo shoot of you organs. :) Well I am so glad you all liked the last chapter and I wish to tell Sotam that no one in Rin's family has any demon blood in them. Sorry but I don't like to write my characters that far out out character. Well hope you all enjoy this new chapter. :)
I was frozen to the very spot that I stood. What the hell is she doing here? I mean she works for my fiance? What the hell!Sesshomaru pulled on my arm and I looked at him. "Rin, this is your mother?" He asked me. I looked back at her and then back to Sesshomaru. "She was." I said and then I went to Sesshomaru's room. "Rin! We need to talk." She said to me. I stopped in my tracks and then turned around to face her. "No, we don't. I can't believe I listened to you. You have done nothing but ruin Koji's and mines life. Know what at least Dad took his share of the blame of what happened to Sasuke." I said to her.
At the last words my mother snapped. "You really think he cares about you? If he cared about either of you he would have given Koji the help he needed. Pay for your schooling and other things. He doesn't give a damn about you. He never has! I mean how could he your not even his daughter!" At this point Sesshomaru's parents arrived and were shocked at what they had just heard. I paused and turned around to face her.
I not being one to talk while angry had to put her in her place. "He did better then you. Dad tried to get Koji to rehab he would just check himself out. He tried to teach him a lesson by making him stay in jail. Dad tried! Dad kept a roof over our heads and put food on the table. Tell me what have you done for this family? All you did was tear it apart!" I said and then before she could speak I told her the truth. "And don't you ever say he isn't my dad! He is my dad and if you don't believe me he has the papers to prove it." I said and then looked away from her.
"Rin, I didn't do anything to this family." I turned back around and glared at her. "Oh I'm sorry forgive me it must have been another woman I saw that night drunk off her ass yelling at us. It must have been another woman who cheated on my dad. So I hope you do forgive me for the mix up." I said with venom dripping from my voice. Her mouth was gaping open from my little out burst. "Do Dad, Koji and I a favor an stay out of our lives. I finally have what little family I have left." I said to her. She seemed pissed about what I said.
She walked over to me and slapped me across the face. Both Sesshomaru and his dad came over and InuTaisho pulled my mother away from me and Sesshomaru looked at my cheek to make sure it was ok. I seen the look in my mothers face and seen hatred. "I am your mother, I gave birth to you, you better remember I am older and have power over you." She said and then Izayoi spoke out which none of us expected. "No you lost your power when you walked out on your children. You have no rights to say she is your daughter. Rin doesn't need you to break her heart like you did those years ago." I did my best not to cry from the words she spoke.
For once someone who was new in my life spoke out and stood up for me. Never thought that would happen. But then again I never expected to fall in love with the guy who I was arranged to marry either. "Rin if you marry a demon then you will never be my daughter." She said that and for some reason I had a memory of that night. Sesshomaru glared at her and I just replayed Sasuke's death over and over in my head. I squeezed Sesshomaru's arm and he looked down at me. "Rin what is it?" He asked me.
I looked up at him and then to my mom. "What did he look like?" I asked her. She seemed confused by my question. "The man you had the affair with, what did he look like?" I asked her again. She opened and closed her mouth and then she spoke. "He had short dark hair and two different colored eyes. One green and the other was dark." She said and then I asked my last question. "What is his name?" She seemed angry but answered anyway. "Mori, he owns his own company. Mori corp., I think is what it's called." She said to me.
Before anyone could ask me anything I ran to Sesshomaru's room and got on his laptop. I searched the name my mother gave me and then froze and the man looked so much like my father all except the eyes. Those eyes had been haunting my dreams ever sense Sasuke died. "Rin?" Sesshomaru came up behind me. I turned around to look at Sesshomaru and then I felt the tears run down my face. "I don't understand. Why would I not tell them about this man being there? Why? Sesshomaru why would I do that?" I cried as he pulled me into his arms.
"Rin, we will figure this out." He said to me. I nodded and then he held me a little longer and then we pulled apart. Sesshomaru led me downstairs to the kitchen there his parents were sitting sipping on what I believe to be tea. "Rin, dear come sit and I will make you a cup of tea." She said to me and I did as she said and took a seat. Sesshomaru sat nest to me and held my hand and rubbed his thumb in circles on the back of my hand. Izayoi came back with a cup of tea and I gladly took a sip.
After a few minutes of sitting quietly Sesshomaru explained what I had discovered and told them that we are going to go do more research on the matter." He said and his dad nodded. "Sesshomaru can I have a private moment with you?" His dad asked him. Sesshomaru nodded and they both left the room to have there heart to heart talk.
Sesshomaru's P.O.V
My father pulled me out of the room and then he spoke to me. "Sesshomaru, I want you to be careful dealing with this man. Once you have all the information needed bring it to me. Last thing I need is you to meet this man face to face and then he not have a face left." My father said to me. I was about to speak when he started in again.
"Sesshomaru, I know it seems I am trying to control you but in reality I am trying to keep you outbid prison. I know how close you and Rin have gotten don't let this man get in the way if what you two have." He said to me and I nodded. "What did you do with Rin's mother?" I asked him. My father sighed and then rubbed his chin.
I waited for him to speak about it not wanting to assume anything and not have the facts. "She decided to quit. She said that she didn't have anything against demons when she started to work. I guess that changed when she saw her daughter being held by one. Humans find things different and wrong when their own blood is involved." He said with no emotion.
I sighed knowing Rin, she'll think it's her fault. "Are you going to tell her?" My father asked me. Now it was my turn to rub my chin. I nodded to answer his question and then I made my way back to the kitchen to tell Rin about her mother.
Upon entering the kitchen I noticed two things. One that atmosphere changed from sadness to anger and two it came not only from my mother but Rin as well. My father entered with a arched eyebrow wondering what was going in and then my mother finally lost it. "That Bitch!" She said in a angry tone.
My father and I stayed put not knowing what to do. My mother was never one to cuss. She was against it very much. Inuyasha chose this moment to come in just as he heard his mother say the first curse word he had ever heard. "Mom!" He complained about her word use and she turned around to glare at her son. "What?!" She hissed out.
All three if us men jump a bit. Inuyasha and I learned at a young age never to question her but I think it was time to. "Why ya calling Rin names?" He ask her. Mom blinked a couple times and then looked around the room and noticed it must have looked bad to those who were not in the room with the two women.
Mom took a seat and the. Looked at Inuyasha. "I wasn't calling Rin that. I was calling her mother that." She said as she rubbed Rin's arm. "Dear may I ask why?" My father asked. She frowned at her thoughts and then spoke. "Because Mori is a competing company for yours dear and one of your men who is on the inside just called and guess who just walked into the building of Mori Corp.?" I knew exactly who it was and I could see the tears form in Rin's eyes. I walked over to her and pulled into my embrace.
"I shall call your father, Rin and tell him what has happened." Rin nodded and then buried her face back in my chest. "I'm gonna take Rin to my room." I said to him and my mom and they both nodded and then I took her up stairs. I entered my room and set Rin down and then sat next to her. "Rin do you want to talk about it?" I asked her. She wiped her eyes and then looked at me. It killed me to see her so weak and broken. "Rin know this, I will never turn my back on you." I said to her and then kissed her on the forehead.
Rin's P.O.V
After an hour of crying I fell asleep in Sesshomaru's arms. I don't know how long I had slept for but when I woke up it was dark out. I sat up and looked around for Sesshomaru and found him at his desk. I crawled out of his bed and then walked over to him. He was looking over his pretest. "Look at you always hard at work. Unlike me who waste her days away playing with animals." I said with a smile. Sesshomaru gave me a slight smile and then took my hand into his. "How long have I been asleep?" I asked him.
Sesshomaru looked at his clock and then sighed. "Well its three am now so about ten hours." He said to me. "Wow! I can't believe I slept that much." I said and then took a seat on his lap. Sesshomaru nuzzled my neck and looked at me. "Rin, you've been through hell an back. I think sleep is what you needed most." He said as he licked the bonding mark. I shivered and then turned around to face him. "Well now I could use some much needed snuggle time." I said to him. Sesshomaru sighed and then looked between his pretest and me. I smiled and then got up. "I'll tell pillow you said hi." I said and then made my way over to the bed and before I got to far Sesshomaru had picked me up and was carrying me.
I giggled as he started to walk over to the bed and then set me down gently. "Sesshomaru?" I caught his attention and he waited for me to go on. "I'm starving." I said to him. It was silent and then I heard Sesshomaru chuckle. He then took me by the hands and pulled me off the bed. We walked side by side and made our way to the kitchen. "Please tell me you ate while I was asleep?" I asked him. He shook his head and I frowned. "You should have ate." I told him. He then wrapped me around the waist and then he kissed me deeply.
We pulled apart we both smiled at each other. "Rin, I was not about to leave you alone. You've had enough alone time to last a life time." He said to me. I smiled at him and then kissed him deeply. After a moment we made our way to the kitchen. As we entered we seen Inuyasha in his boxer's looking for food himself. "Its amazing that you two are related." I said to Sesshomaru and then smiled at Inuyasha. He rolled his eyes and then pulled out a package of meat. "Mom says you two should eat this." He said to us and then pulled out a bag of grapes and walked out of the room.
I took a moment and then turned my head in time to see him exit the kitchen. "Your brother just left the room with a healthy snack." I said to Sesshomaru as he made his way over to the meat on the counter. "Yes apparently he has gone through many arguments with Kagome about eating healthy." I raised an eyebrow and waited for him to go on. "That is all I know and the reason I know that much is because I heard a phone call between the two." He said trying to defend his title of a 'I don't care' big brother.
Sesshomaru started to prepare our dinner and I just took a seat. "Sesshomaru do you think she ever loved me?" I asked him. He turned around to look at me for a moment and then sighed. "Rin to be honest I try not to understand mothers who never contact their children in over a year of more." He said to me. "When was the last time you heard from your mom?" I asked him. Sesshomaru flipped the chops and then turned to face me.
He walked over to me and then kissed me. "The last time I heard from my mother I believe I was fourteen. I wanted to live with my father and Izayoi and she agreed to it. After a year of trying to talk to her, she finally stopped. I figured it was because I broke her heart. I didn't see the point in giving my all when she wasn't willing to do the same." He said to me as he went to the pantry and grabbed two baked potatos and box of mac and cheese. I started to get up and help him but he just told me to sit.
So I watched as he cooked our two in the morning supper. "Do you send her cards?" I asked him. He sighed and then nodded. "At least you did that. I never sent mine anything." I said to him. "Rin no offense but my mother didn't kill anyone either." He said to me and I couldn't help but laugh. "Very good point and I hope it stays that way." I said to him and then he too chuckled. "Sesshomaru do you think that she plotted with Mori to try and kill my brothers and I?" I asked him and Sesshomaru then stabbed the potato much harder then it needed to be.
Sesshomaru turned around to face me. "Rin what ever they are up too we will find out and they will pay for the hell they put you and your family through." Sesshomaru said to me and I smiled at him. "I can always trust you to be there for me." I said to him. He gave me a small smile and then went back to cooking. I decided to change the topic to keep Sesshomaru from getting angry and when I did it was like he was totally lost in another world.
What on earth is he thinking? All he does is stir the noodles. Oh I hope he isn't plotting to kill someone. That would be my luck he goes to prison for wanting to protect me. Oh Sesshomaru, you better not be thinking what I'm thinking cause that isn't good. I pulled myself out of my though process and then decided to mess with Sesshomaru to try and get him out of his thoughts. "Sesshomaru." I called his name no response. "Sesshomaru?" I called it again but the same. "Sesshomaru, I love you." I said to him and once more he just ignored what I said. "I love you so much I want you to forget about cooking and take me back to your room so we can have sex." I said to him.
Sesshomaru whipped his head around and stared at me. "Repeat that last part." He said to me. I raised and eyebrow and looked at him. "I love you so much!" I said and then he glared at me. "The very last word you said." He all but growled at me. I giggled and then smiled at him. "Sex." I said to him. Sesshomaru just stood there for a moment and then turned around. "Tease." He said and then started to plate our food. I giggled at him and then smiled when he placed a plate of food in front of me. "Thank you." I said and then we began to eat.
We didn't talk much while we ate and that was alright. I was still kind of out of it and the quietness was pleasant. It wasn't awkward at all. "Rin." I looked up at Sesshomaru and then waited for him to keep talking. "No more talk about sex." He said to me. I gave him a puzzled look and then laughed. "Sorry I didn't realize how hard it is for you." I said to him. He just nodded and then took my hand and kissed it. We finished our meal and put the dishes in the sink and then went to the living room and got a movie out and started to watch it.
I looked at Sesshomaru and then he looked down at me. "What?" He asked me. I smiled and then kissed him on the chin. "You realize that I wont be going to sleep until later on tonight, right?" I asked him. Sesshomaru smiled and then nodded at me. "Alone time with you, I can live with that." He said and then we went back to watching our movie.
Well here is another chapter for all my awesome readers! Sorry it took so long to write. I kept facing some challenges. My most evil challege was allergy medicine. Another friendly warning Deer Flies have a really bad saliva stings! But then again you may not all have deer flies. But still insects are horrible things. They are evil!
