Jamie woke up the next morning. She opened her eyes and looked over. She was alone. She got out of bed and got dressed. She went into the living room and saw Dustin sitting on the couch.
"Hi." He said.
"Hi."
"We should talk."
"Yeah."
"Look- Dustin's cell phone started to ring. "Hello?" He said. "Oh hey Cody." He instantly felt guilty. "Yeah?" "Cool." "Listen can I call you back?" "Ok bye." He hung up and looked at Jamie. "Sorry."
"That's ok."
"Anyway- Jamie's cell phone started to ring. "Let me guess who that is." "It is?"
"Yeah." "Hello?" "Hi Cody." "I'm in the middle of something right now but I do have something to tell you about me and Sam." "I'll call you in a little bit." "Bye." She hung up. "You were saying?" She said looking at Dustin.
"I wasn't expecting last night."
"I wasn't either." "I never thought I would sleep with you in a million years." "Not to say that it was a bad experience or anything." "It was nice but it can't happen anymore Dustin."
"I agree." "This was just a one night stand." "I mean not that you're not..not that it wasn't good for me." "It was."
"I know what you mean."
"We can't tell Cody."
"Absolutely not." "He doesn't need to know." "Well I'm gonna go." "Thanks for being there for me last night."
"No problem."
"Bye."
"Bye."
After Jamie showered and changed she called Cody back. She told him what happened.
"Are you ok?" He asked.
"Not really."
"What can I do?"
"Nothing." "I need to find an attorney."
"You can use mine."
"Thank you."
"Everything's gonna be ok." "Where are you going after tonight?"
"Detroit."
"I get to go home."
"I bet it'll be nice for you to have a break for awhile."
"Listen if you need anything call me."
"I will." "Bye."
"Bye."
Later that night in Oklahoma Cody was at the arena. He'd just got to his locker room. Dustin was already there.
"Hey Dustin." Cody said.
"Hey."
"I feel so bad for Jamie."
"What's a matter?" He said playing dumb.
"The other night Jamie caught Sam cheating with his ex-girlfriend."
"What?"
"I know." "What a dick right?"
"Yeah."
"She's really broken up about it."
"Poor thing."
"I know." "I'm gonna let her use my divorce attorney." "I just wish there was something I could do to fix it." "I hate seeing her in pain."
"I know."
The next night Jamie was at her hotel in Detroit. There was a knock on her door. She answered it. Cody was stand there holding something in a plastic bag.
"Cody." She said surprised.
"Hi."
"Hi." "I thought after tonight you got to go home."
"I did but I wanted to come see you."
"What's in the bag?"
"What else, your favorite ice cream."
"Aw." "Come in." He went in. They hugged. "Thank you."
"It's ok." "I'm here." "It's all gonna be fine."
They both had some ice cream. They were sitting on the couch.
"Here before I forget." Cody said taking out his wallet and handed her a card. "He's expecting your call."
"Thanks." "I can't believe you blew off going home to come see me."
"You needed me." "I'd do anything for you Jamie." He said looking at her.
"I know." He kissed her. She kissed him back. As they were kissing all she could think about was how guilty she felt for sleeping with Dustin. She broke the kiss. "Cody."
"I know." "It's to fast I'm sorry." "I'll stop."
"Thanks." Jamie wanted to tell him but couldn't bring herself to say it.
Jamie and Cody fell asleep on the couch. He woke up in the middle on the night. She was laying on top of him.
"I love you Jamie." He whispered. He kissed her temple and went back to sleep.
A few nights later it was time for Jamie's match against Sasha Banks. The match was going back and forth. Sasha went for her finisher. Jamie countered into hers which was a sit-out powerbomb and got the three count. She was in the back getting a water.
"Congratulations." She heard Dustin say from behind her.
"Hey." She turned around. They hugged. "Thanks." "Is Cody here?"
"No." "I'm just here to do something on the show later." "I found this in the bed the other day." He said holding up an earring.
"My earring." "Thanks I figured it was in your room somewhere."
What Jamie and Dustin didn't know was that Cody was there. He'd came to surprise Jamie. He was standing around the corner and had heard everything. He couldn't believe it. His jaw dropped.
"Oh my god." Cody thought. "Jamie and Dustin?" "How could they do this to me?!" "I don't believe this." "Jamie I love you." "Why?" "Why am I never good enough for you?" "I thought you were finally starting to come around and we could finally be together." "I guess I was wrong." He took off in the other direction.
