Author's Note: So, so sorry I haven't posted lately. School had come back to the picture to ruin people's lives, but hey what can you do? It kept me busy this whole time so I'm sorry I haven't posted till now. I will try to post more often but I doubt it since I have to take summer classes and I have volunteer hours I have to take care of during the summer. And I have been through a lot these past few months so it might take longer.

Consequences & A "New" Old Friend

Apparently Ms. Crumpton convinced the principal to serve my detentions with her. Which by the way I'm not complaining, she's really nice with me she lets me use all the instruments. Also said I could use them whenever I want after school, during school, or before school. She's beginning to be my favorite teacher.

Right now I'm in the room alone; she had to go to the office to do something really important. I was on the bench in front of the classical piano; I looked around before getting on it. Though I did mentally kick myself for doing so, I mean who would be here this early in the morning? My fingers lightly touched the keys as a tune appeared in my head. A tune I used to sing when I felt guilty when I was younger the part I liked most was probably the middle of it.

Tell me where did I go wrong

Everyone I loved… they're all gone

I'd do everything so differently

But I can't turn back the time

I didn't realize I was singing a song that I haven't sung since what felt like forever, but it certainly felt amazing letting them out. As if it were all jumbled up inside waiting for the day they could escape.

There's no way out of this dark place

I had no idea what came over me as I let my fingers play the song and my voice ring across the room with the lyrics. Hearing for first time in probably years; music coming from… me.

I took a deep breath before continuing the song for the last verse of it :

As I finished the last note I heard something in the hallways. "Did you hear that?" "It seems to be coming from the music room…" "That's exactly the voice we need to beat Reinella in Battle of the Bands," I soon recognized it to be Lysander and Castiel. Oh no, they can't find me here; I got up immediately and looked around "Ah hah…" I said as I found a window.

"There's no one here," Lysander said as Castiel ran in and began to look franticly throughout the room. "I guess we missed our chance." Castiel said disappointed. I had gotten out through the window and now was holding my breath as I hoped they wouldn't look this way. They spoke a few more muffled words and got out immediately. I waited a few more minutes before going back in and finishing up the detention.

A few hours later

I'm walking to Ms. Crumpton's class; since it's the middle of the day. I haven't seen Lily or Reinella yet I believe they would probably be upset that I had taken the blame for everything but I wasn't about to stand there and watch them get expelled for something they didn't do. I was walking in the hallways when Reinella out of nowhere came running towards me.

"There you are! I was looking all over the damn school for you!" She dug around in her shorts pockets. "Here this is from Franny. She wants you to meet her at our place. She pulled a "sick" move today. But between the two of us, she isn't sick, she's just being lazy." She smirked, I smiled at her and responded "Ok sure."

"We have a big surprise for you~ It's somewhere in this school and if you find it, which I'm sure that you will, I'll..." She stopped to think, "I don't know what I'll do, but you better hurry up before the surprise gets away~" with that she took off down the hallway. How she could wear those super high heels and not fall or lose her balance was a pretty unusual sight. But she was probably used to wearing heels allot, since she is pretty short.

I shook my head as a smile across my face she walked straight ahead while I continued my path towards Ms. Crumpton's class turning the corner when my eyes widen for a second then I felt disgusted at the sight. Not exactly something you want to see on your way to class. In the middle of the hallway was Amber kissing a guy I've never seen before but yet looked awfully familiar. But I couldn't possibly have met him before he had, windblown brown hair that seems to stick out a bit.

I continued to walk to my class saying to myself they wouldn't notice me if I walked away, but I guess fate was not on my side "Becky!" I heard Amber squeal my name for some reason that will remain unknown to me. I gave her a confused look while she gave me an innocent smile. She walked over to me and linked her arm with mine as if we were friends. She then looked over to the guy she was with. I stole one glance at him and I noticed what he was wearing an unbuttoned button-up white shirt with a black muscle shirt underneath. He had dark green cargo pants and a dog tag necklace. He also was wearing black finger-less gloves.

Then I looked into his eyes to be surprised to see that he was looking at me not Amber with a mixture of horrified and worry. I raised an eyebrow and at that precise moment I looked into his emerald green eyes and realized who he was and then gave him a kind smile as my way of welcoming him back. He returned the smile that I figured was going to be his signature smile as he leaned to one side.

After Amber gave her small good bye not realizing that he wasn't even looking at her she then walked me to my class saying "Someday you'll probably be kissed like that when you finally get rid of those hideous clothes" she said finally letting go of me. I stopped in front of the class and before I entered I answered with a fake smile as I looked down and seeing my outfit was pretty simple: a Green Gem Tunic, Black Skinny Jeans, and black high tops and my necklace like always "Well at least my clothes can be changed. You on the other hand with that attitude will be nothing but a lonely hag… or an ugly gold digger" She looked shocked. I walked into the classroom ending the conversation.

As I walked into the class I realized he was watching us the whole time and had a smile of relief. He probably was glad that nothing has really changed since he left… I really missed him. I walked into the classroom and explained why I was late to Ms. Crumpton who really didn't seem to care because she told me it doesn't matter that it was ok after what I been through yesterday. I went to my usual seat next to Castiel who eyed me worriedly. Ms. Crumpton continued her lesson, and I began to listen to the lesson up until I was interrupted by a note that slid across the table from me. I grabbed it not exactly sure if I should open it but I did any way it said:

What happened? Did Amber do something?

I looked next to me feeling Castiel's eyes were on me the whole time. I shook my head as I began to write down my response as I pass it to him I gave him a reassuring smile. He then began to read what I wrote.

Nothing … nothing happened

He wrote something down then gave it back to me the note said:

Are you sure? You know I have ways to make her back off.

I smiled as I wrote:

I'm fine don't worry I can take care of myself … but its sweet that you care and worry for me

I then passed it back to him he read it then began to blush a bit and write. When he gave it back to me he was still blushing. I began to read:

Who ever said I cared?

I gave a slightly grin he didn't seem to catch the tease in my part of the note:

I was just teasing you, but if it weren't true you wouldn't be pink now would you?

I passed it back. When he read it he made a second of eye contact then turned the other way immediately turning red as his hair. I just grinned a little and continued to listen on the lesson. By the end of the day he was back to his own skin tone though he did avoid looking in my direction or more like he was fighting with himself to not look at me.

As the bell rang I got up and went out the room leaving Castiel behind with his thoughts. As I walked out almost being the last person out someone was leaning against the door frame as I walked out I looked in their direction seeing him. He nodded his head towards me as he eased away from the door way saying "Hey," I raised an eyebrow at him as a response. He leaned to one side as he said "What's wrong?" he asked suddenly we both knew I didn't have to answer since we both knew the answer to that. He then rolled his eyes responding to his own question. I laughed a bit "Good idea for revenge. Lowering the girl's self-esteem is the best way to beat Amber at her own game though I would watch out for her when she finds out who you are."

He then gave that innocent smile as we walked down the hallway, "So you do know who I am?" he asked. I put my finger to my chin as if thinking he rolled his eyes at me once again "Let me think… Nope never met you in my life… Of course I know you; you're my best friend since I can remember Ken." he smiled. He then held his arms out and a smile spread across my face as I shrugged and went to embrace him he was now a few inches taller than me. "I've missed you Ken," I told him though it was clear as he held me tightly before saying "Me too."

I broke the hug because I soon heard footsteps as I looked to the side I fought to not frown "Hey… Becky (she glared at me as I gave her a look as if to say "What?") hey babe so I was thinking you can invite me for lunch later today..."Amber said as she clung to his arm I felt bad for him. As she pulled him away from me he glanced towards me, I just gave him a reassuring smile and shrugged as I pulled a stray hair behind my ear about to leave when I heard him begin to say "My name is not babe it's Kentin and uh no I prefer to hang out with Becky."

He walked over to me and put his arm on my shoulder and began to walk a few steps before turning saying "Oh don't call me and another thing you are a terrible kisser." And we walked away from her.

As we turn to the corner of the hallway knowing that Amber was far from earshot I began to burst out laughing while Ken was trying to shush me between fits of laughter I said out of breath "You know you want to laugh too…" I poked his face"No I don't," he responded with a goofy grin trying his best not to laugh with me to prove me wrong, but was totally failing at it. This caused me to laugh even harder than before. He then let himself chuckle a bit before clearing his throat saying "It's not funny…" I raised an eyebrow at him as I answered "Uh yeah it is and you know it."

I then realized that he still had his arm on my shoulder, I shrugged it off. "We really need to catch up on something's, there's so many things I've been wanting to tell you but … you were, you know … gone." I told him looking him in the eye he then shrugged and gave me a smile "Sure when…" I began to think "I don't know… when you have time, but not now I have to get to class before the principal thinks I'm skipping and get into more trouble then I already am." I said walking away "Wait what do you mea-"

"I'll explain everything later, but for now I really got to go see you later Ken." I walked off.

Last few minutes of lunch time

I had just walked into the cafeteria for the last few minutes of lunch seeing that I couldn't understand what just happened the last few hours. No I'm not talking about class I mean what Franny wants to speak to me about I mean she's always around Reinella it must be something important that she can't tell me in front of her. And the fact when I walked into class Lily asked me if I had already seen the "new" Ken, when I responded yeah she then told me to "Be careful, sometimes when people appearance change, so do their personality."

I shook my thoughts away as I walked over to the line and just paid for a water bottle and began to walking towards the exit when I heard my name I turned to look at Reinella with Lily and the rest of the group which now contained Lysander in it. I really thought he would be with Castiel then again it should be normal that he wants to be with Lily they're dating after all. Reinella was doing the regular routine calling after me. I gave her a smile and waved as I continue my path out of the cafeteria. I had too many thoughts in my head to actually converse with any one.

As I went out the door I saw something in front of me that I didn't expect, Kentin was surrounded by girls all asking questions he flashed them a smile a time or two, I wanted to laugh a bit at their way of getting his attention. Instead I just shook my head and smiled as I walked towards the courtyard to calm my nerves. As I was outside I sat down on a bench my thoughts now taking over. What was going on? Kentin wasn't always this flirtatious that I can remember but then it would be expected he'd have a different attitude. The bell rang at that precise moment and I walked to my next class history.

I finished my work early so I decided to go up to the teacher to get permission, there was no reason for me to stay so I got up and slowly headed up to Mr. Faraize "Do you need something Ms. Valdez?" he asked as I came up to him. I nodded "I'm not exactly feeling well so can I go to the office?" I asked him. He then nodded as he responded "Very well Ms. Valdez…" I thanked him as I walked out of the classroom.

I headed towards the office to dismiss myself; I walked in to see Nathaniel there as expected. I walked to the front desk and asked for the form for early release, the women eyed me. I then told her I was legally independent and showed her my form she then nodded and gave me the form and asked "What is the reason for leaving early?" it seemed to go under protocol even though she could care less why I'm leaving early. So as I filled the form I simply said "Sick" she then stamped my excuse form and I could leave.

Nathaniel was eyeing me the whole time, probably wondering why I was signing myself out. I walked out of there without making eye contact I wasn't in the mood for explanations. I began to walk out of the school and out the entrance. I don't know where I was going, but my feet drag me towards some destination. Next thing I know I was in front of Reinella's home. I then remembered I was supposed to see Franny, based on the note Reinella gave me earlier that day. So I knocked on the door Reinella's aunt is the one who opened it she looked surprised I was here since school is still in session.

"Hello Becky what are you doing here Reinella isn't home yet?" she asked me. "I'm here to see Franny actually she told Reinella that she wanted to see me after school." I answered her she didn't bother to ask me why I was there in school hours. Probably afraid to invade my personal life, she let me in she told me that Franny was upstairs in Reinella's room. So I headed up over there as I walked in the room of Reinella.

Franny was lying in Reinella's bed she really wasn't expecting anybody at this hour of the day.

She put on her brightest smile and fixed her hair a bit. Even though she was wearing a sweater, the dark bruising on her arms were pretty noticeable. She was pretty pale so bruising was noticeable. The other thing was all of the blonde hair in the trash can. She patted the end of the bed in a friendly manner, "Don't just stand there, come here. I don't bite." As she twirled a strand of blonde hair around her finger as soon as she stopped the hair fell out. She blushed a bit, "Sorry about that." she said, throwing it into the trash can.

I nodded as if what happened with her hair was the most normal thing I ever seen. She sat up a bit and stretched her arms. I smiled a bit, "Don't worry about it, so Reinella said you wanted to talk, right?" I asked. Franny smiled a bit, "Ah, yes. Sit back, darling and let me tell you story that will change how you will view everybody. Once upon a time in New York, Reinella Everans was in love with a guy named David Evans." "Are you sure you should be telling me this?" I interrupted her not really sure Franny should be the one telling me this and it wasn't my place to know about it.

"A very good looking athlete. Star quarter back for the football team. Sweet on the outside but once you got to know the real him, you started to do up why Reiney wouldn't break up with him." She paused. She had continued totally ignoring my comment so I figured Franny had already decided that she was going to tell me no matter how delicate the topic was.

"When Reinella came home from her vacation with David...I just wanted to kill him. When we all came back to school...she was covered in cuts and bruises and her left arm was in a sling...I had no idea what had happened to her. Then one night, she came over to my house and it was pouring outside. The doorbell to my house rang and when I opened it, she came flying towards me so broken looking that I wasn't even sure that it was her at first." She bites her lip.

"We went up to my bedroom and I dried her off and after a while of silence she told me what had happened to her..." Her voice cracked as tears ran down her face, "She...looked me in the eyes and said to me,"Franny...David beat me and then he raped me in the school's sports equipment room..." And we cried together." Inside my eyes had widened as I felt a sudden pain tug at me, but I kept an expressionless look.

Franny wiped her face with a tissue, "After she broke it off with him, I wanted her to get help...but she never did. She just decided to erase the fact that she was raped. I know she'll be mad at me for this, but don't tell her that I told you this because when the time comes, she'll eventually crack under the pressure."

Before she could say anything else, the door swung open and in came Reinella, "Guess who made the team...oh." Her face dropped when she saw Franny wipe her face, "What's wrong?" Franny shook her head, "There is no sequel to this game." Reinella snickered and rolled her eyes.

"Auntie's working a night shift, let's just go to the forum cafe and grab a bite." Franny nodded, "Well, I guess this is goodbye for now, Becky. Remember, this is our little secret until the time is right." I nodded and said my goodbyes I felt Reinella's gaze confused as she watched me go.

At Sweet Amoris High on the roof

I felt the gentle breeze hit my face as I walked on the roof of the school not many know about this place. I leaned against the edge as I heard the door of the roof open somehow I knew who it was. "Hey Becky…" a grin came across my face as I slowly turned around "Hey Ken… what's up with you? How was it coming back to this school?" I asked as I turned to him he leaned to one side as he shrugged "It was ok, but a little boring, so are you going to tell me what's going on."

I shrugged as I decided to tell him everything I've never lied to him before and I'm not going to start now. He was still going to be the one person I trust with everything about me. I told him that when he left that Reinella and Lily had gotten close to me, but that he was still my best friend and that I had missed him for those little special moments that we had. I also told him that everyone was pretty nice and that I was secretly using the equipment after school and rejected all the coaches for either being captain of the sport or join the sport.

I told him my arguments with Castiel and how I got some mystery admirers on Valentine's Day but that I didn't care for the gifts. I told him about what happened with Amber on the stairs and how Castiel had helped me, but had made a fuss of the fall when it wasn't necessary. That I had been called into the office with the girls about a crime we didn't commit, and how I took the blame ( of course I didn't explain why I did it though) I told him that the principal believed the lie I told her and told him that was the reason why I got the punishment I had gotten.

I then told him the incident at the first detention I had attended he laughed quite a bit at it though, not believing that Nathaniel and Castiel had believed my little scene of drowning. His expression would change as I told him everything, even the race and how Amber had purposefully sabotaged the race, and how we won I even told him of Reinella's and Lily's birthday presents. He smiled at that, when I finished he looked quite frustrated "I should've done something worse…" he muttered under his breath as his hands were formed into fists. I got worried I knew he was no longer the little boy I had to protect, but I couldn't help but feel the need to tell him "Come on don't be silly… Amber got what she deserved. And anyway you can't punch her not only is it because she's a girl but you'll definitely get in trouble for it."

"I don't care she should back off already." He responded harshly, I grabbed his shoulder so he would face me. "Ken, I'm not a child anymore I can very well take care of myself. You very well know I don't like people fighting my fights for me, and I especially don't want any one to get hurt because of me." I said my tone stern. He nodded as he sighed "I know … but it frustrates me that I wasn't here to help you. (He grabbed my hands in his) I promise you from now on I'll be there for you. Trust me…" I smiled "I do … after all you did keep your first promise." I responded I then looked down at our joined hands, which have been like that for quite some time.

I then looked at him he looked puzzled then looked at our still joined hands. He then blushed and released my hands immediately; I then felt glad that not all of the old Ken was gone. I smiled as I saw him look away from me like he usually did when he felt flustered and embarrassed. I then did something I haven't done since we were 7 when we first actually met, but that's another story for another time… I hugged him it felt different since he was now several inches taller than me. "I really did miss you Ken… Welcome back I hope this time you'll be staying for a long time." I told him as he slowly wrapped his arms around me, "I'm not going anywhere…" he said.

I looked up and nodded but nothing prepared me for what he said next, "And if I did leave there's only one place I can come back to and that's here by your side," it would have sounded so sweet to any girl, and it did to me but it also felt … awkward. I had no idea how to react as we both slowly broke the hug, I sighed as I answered "Umm I'm not exactly sure that what you should be saying to a best friend."

He began to blush as he looked away, "Yeah I guess not … I ta-" "But I'll accept it this once, after all I know what you meant" I interrupted him. "Y-you did?" he asked confused "Of course, it would be strange that I wouldn't know what you meant being best friends after all." I responded. I turned looking at the sun set "We better get going it's going to be dark soon" Ken said walking towards the door. "You go ahead; I'm going to stay up here for a while and you know clear my head a bit." He nodded; he left me alone on the roof top of the school.

After taking a breather on the school roof I finally decided to go home. Once I exited out of the tan double doors I realized it must've been past 7 o' clock because it was getting dark, but the doors were still unlocked. I walked in the parking lot when I noticed a familiar black and red motorcycle. I wasn't amazed who the owner was, Castiel was leaning against it. When I was about to walk by him I said to "Look at this Sweet Amoris's bad boy is still at school at this hour…" he didn't respond to my tease as he pushed himself off the motorcycle and started walking towards me without a word.

I raised an eyebrow "Dude is there something wrong?" I questioned him but he continued to walk towards me. I looked close at his face and saw a blank face, but his eyes were filled with something I couldn't put a name on, but whatever it was it sent a sudden chill on my spine "Castiel snap out of it!" it came out almost as a yell as he got closer I took a step backward until my back was against the rear of a car. He continued to move closer to me as until there was no personal space between what so ever. I was beginning to feel fear for some reason and that's not an emotion I normally feel and I guess I didn't until he slammed his hands on the car's rear fencing me in between. As he did I shut my eyes tight "Castiel…?" I said as a warning when I opened my eyes once more his face was so close to my face our noses touched.

I froze completely as my eyes widened what was he doing? My thoughts repeated why couldn't I move? I soon said "Castiel don't…" as I subconsciously leaned back but he followed when I no longer could lean back I noticed that he seemed to be holding back but when he looked into my eyes it's as if that broke his chains restraining him and he pressed his lips against mine. The last thing that came out clearly from my mouth was "No!" after that it was muffled screams. I tried to push away but he was obviously way stronger than me I frantically looked for a solution. But sadly the only solution that came to mind was to hurt him.

So my hands moved to his shoulder as he continued to kiss me, and I pulled my knee upward quickly and pushed his shoulders down with all my strength until I made contact. His lips separated from mine as he groaned going down and clutching his stomach his staggered breathing just proved how much pain he was in. My eyes were wide completely as I looked at him completely disgusted by him.

Author's Note: Hey guys I'm so sorry for leaving you guys hanging for so long but I hope this will make up for it. It's pretty long and it has a few moments with Ken and Castiel even though it was painful at the end but hey it's Becky do you really think he was just going to get away with that.

So first kiss in the story with a painful result or outcome more like it. So what do you think will happen afterwards? Is Castiel going to be okay? Who knows? See you in the next chapter to find out;)
