Hey guys. Sorry about the wait. Let's go.

The explosion the RasenShurikan created had sent shockwaves all across Ame bringing down weaker buildings blasting powerful winds throughout the village. These provided just enough cover for Arashi to create several clones and sending them off in all directions before taking a huge gulp of air and diving into the surrounding lake. He then began to swim back the way he came a huge smile radiating off his face.

"Giving away the name was a bit much don't you think?"

"What, you didn't like it?"

"You don't think it would have been funnier if all they knew was that this powerful person who could master the Yondaime's jutsu was just some pissed of kid who had way too much power?"

"Yeah. I guess that could have been handled better." Arashi said

"Well, honestly a lot of that could have been handled better."

"Don't start that again." Arashi ordered him as he began to emerge from the surrounding lake.

When he emerged and let in a huge gasp of air he pulled himself from the lake and back on to the main land several kilometers out from Amegakure.

" The important thing is we got Ero Senin out of there."

"Point taken. But..."

"What?"

"Arashi...You do know he's not your Godfather anymore right?"

Arashi got angry at the thought.

"What are you talking about?! Why wouldn't he be..."

"You're not Naruto anymore..." Kurama told him simply.

Arashi went silent at that.

"Since we've been back, You needed a new identity but now's the time to stick to it."

Arashi gave a small visible nod after a moment of thought.

"He's not going to have the same connection with you that you had before. He doesn't even know who you are."

"I...I know." Arashi responded weakly

"I just didn't want to get your hopes up for nothing. You've saved his life yes. But he doesn''t know why or how?"

Arashi inwardly sighed. He really hadn't given that part a lot of thought.

"You're right. He doesn't know me. But I know him and so will Naruto."

Kurama gave his jailer a sad look as Arashi reflected on the his old name.

" I'm not going to be Naruto anymore...Still not used to that." He thought annoyed but with a sad smile..

"How do you think I feel? No mortals called me Kurama since Father and Uncle." Kurama replied trying to add a little light to his jailer.

"Fair enough." Arashi thought standing up and getting one last look at Ame.

"Wait. Who's you're uncle?"

"Can we discuss my family after we're safe and not in the same country as the Rinnegan?"

"Again. Fair enough."

Arashi Stared back toward Ame as a several drops of rain rand down his face.

"Obito... That was you're one warning. You come after Gaara, Naruto, or any of the others. I'll be there." He spoke aloud as if the man was somewhere watching him.

Arashi then moved to tighten his headband but found nothing there. He immediately looked down into the lake he had just pulled himself out of to see his reflection. His eyes widened when noticed his headband was gone. Whether he had lost it in the battle or on the run over from Konoha he didn't know. For a split second he thought about running back into Ame to find it but before he could follow up he took another look at himself. Noticing the Crimson hair and emerald eyes that had once been a radiating yellow and blue. For the first time since he changed, he really looked at himself.

"Every ninja needs their own headband... I guess, that's as good as a sign as any." Arashi said aloud.

After one last look at Ame, Arashi turned his back and began his journey home.

Hours passed as Arashi leaped, and darted across the Ame Country side. He hadn't paid too much on his in but seeing now, and seeing the people out and about either farming, working or just running in the rain, he wondered about the two Akatsuki he had known the most, though briefly.

"Nagato and Konan still on you're mind?"

"Yeah... I really don't want to kill them. They cared about their home and the people in it and I know they just want peace..."

"But?"

"When I was fighting them, I kept seeing the destruction they caused to Konoha in my head. All the people he killed... Hinata, Kakashi sensei, Shizune, countless others. I won't let something like that happen again..."

"You'll do what is necessary?"

Arashi inwardly nodded.

"When it is necessary."

Kurama nodded as well though he grew slightly sad. The optimistic kid he had been annoyed by for years seemed to have died on that battlefield. In his place stood a man who would do whatever it took to save himself and his friends from falling into that future.

Time kept passing and soon day had begun to turn into night. The clouds grew darker and light began to vanish across the land. The rain had never stopped once he had entered Ame and he knew it wasn't going to stop once he reached the border. Still, it didn't stop him from getting annoyed with it.

"Ok, I've had it with this weather. How far is home you think?"

"Well it took us almost one day to get to Ame and back so it should be the same amount of time to get back if..."

"Awesome. Than we're halfway home." Arashi thought excited.

"If we kept up the same pace..."

"Well why wouldn't we...No." Arashi began to see his entire body began to flicker.

"Arashi, I'm tired." Kurama told him in what sounded like a wine.

"You're the Kyubi! Going for a jog makes you tired?"

" A few days ago, We were fighting a War! A war where I remind you, You used almost ALL of my chakra. Do you think I can't get such an amount back in such a small period of time?"

"How am I supposed to get back?!

"The old fashioned way. By yourself."

"But that's going to take days."

"Deal. With. It. Wake me if something important happens. Nothing else."

"I shouldn't have to wake you at a all." Arashi grumbled.

Kurama then severed the link between the two and left Arashi on his own. With night falling across the land, he figured he'd find a place to rest and head out in the morning. He ran for another hour or two until he came upon the outskirts of a small town.

"Well here's hoping they have an inn."

He found such an inn right in the center of town. Thankfully not too many people had been out that night and the few who were didn't seem to pay him any mind. Save for the fact that his clothes were in tatters.

"I really should've changed before I left." He said looking down at himself. His pants had turned into shorts, his jacket would be ashamed to call itself one. Sleeves torn apart, holes across the the flack, it wasn't a pretty sight.

With a sigh, he shrugged and continued towards the inn eager to get out of the rain. Stepping inside he was greeted with the sight of a few lit candles and an empty desk. His eyes darted around the room in search of a greeter, or anyone really and stopped when he heard laughter. Thinking it was coming from above him, Arashi walked up a flight of stairs and was soon greeted by the sight of about ten to twelve fisherman enjoying themselves.

He looked through the upper room and his eyes settled at a nice sight. An empty bar.

"Well, it's no Ichiraku but it will do."

He made his way over eager to get a drink of...just about anything really barely listening to the conversation the fisherman were having.

"Go on. Tell them." One said speaking

"Bullshit." Another replied.

"Look I've seen ninjas try and swim through a river and get their ass beaten and you''re telling me that this guy did it and pulled a kid out with him." Another man said agreeing.

"Damn straight. Didn't even look winded." Yet another man spoke in reply.

"I passed out as soon as got out of the water." One of them said with a light chuckle.

A ring of laughter echoed from the group as Arashi found himself an unopened bottle of Sake. Now he was never one to drink but seeing as how he was in the past, just fought Nagato again, saved his mentor, and ran from Konoha to Ame, and halfway back in one day, he decided to hell with it and began to drink.

"Kaiza, why can't you just let me tell the story."

"You just tweak the idea that I'm an immortal superhuman and I just might ." The man known as Kaiza said.

" Anyway Kaiza, why you leaving so suddenly?"

" Oh I got a letter from home, apparently some business asshole is causing trouble." Kaiza spoke leaving money on the table.

"Gonna go set him straight?"

" It's probably just a misunderstanding but if it isn't...yeah." Kaiza said with a hint of malice.

"Damn, well guys here's toast." One of the men spoke.

The group grasped each of their cups and lifted them into the air.

"To a safe Journey home and better times for the Land of Waves."

As the cups clanked into each other, an unnoticed Arashi spat out any amount of sake he had tried to down all over the floor and looked over to the group. Several faces he didn't recognize but one stood out. He poured through his memories trying to figure out who he was until his eyes widened as he remembered a photo from first C rank mission.

"That's Inari's dad..."

"Well guys, I better get going." Kaiza told them speaking.

"You're leaving already?"

"Yeah It will take a few days to get home so might as well get started."

"Sure you don't want to hire protection?"

"With what money? Tazuna's the one with that and even then that wouldn't be enough to get a group of genin." Kaiza said chuckling.

"See ya guys later."

"See ya Kaiza..." Echoed around the room as Kaiza stood up and walked toward a coat rack that held a brown jacket which he then slipped on before moving downstairs. Arashi kept staring at the stairs Kaiza had just used as a woman appeared behind the bar.

"Sorry about that sir! I was busy with a guest upstairs. Did you need a room?"

Arashi slowly turned his head to the bartender.

"You have no idea how much I wish I could say yes." Arashi said in a long sigh. He then reached into his wallet and pulled out some money from his stint in Ichiraku to pay for the Sake he just sprayed across the floor and he placed it on the table..

"But I got to get going."

The lady just looked at strangely as he stood up

"But you're soaked to the bone and not dressed for more."

"Yep." Was Arashi's only response as he began to follow Kaiza's footsteps and descend downstairs."

On his way out the door and back into the downpour he spotted Kaiza's jacket moving down the road.

"How does he move so fast?" Arashi asked no one in particular as he feats of running across countries and fighting S rank criminals began to sink in. With considerable effort he pushed the fatigue back for now and charged off toward his target.

"Hey Kaiza!"

Hearing his name from an unfamiliar voice, Kaiza turned to see a red head teen in tattered clothes run after him and stop just a few feet away from him.

"Can I help you kid?"

"Uh...Yeah.."

Arashi ran through about a thousand different way to approach this

"C'mon think!"

He said to himself before figuring out what to say.

"I uh, heard you were heading back to the Land of Waves right?"

Kaiza nodded.

"And you need protection right?"

Kaiza laughed aloud.

"Thanks kid but I was thinking Shinobi protection and not...well homeless Ame, teen."

Arashi looked down over his clothes and scratched the back of his head sheepishly.

"I'll admit, this hasn't been my best day." Arashi said in half laughter. "But trust me...You won't find anyone more eager to get you home alive than me."

"And why's that?"

"Well... I've got to see someone. A girl."

"Do I know her?" Kaiza asked.

" I don't think so. But I know she's on her way to the Land of Waves. I'm hoping to find her when I get there. She's attracted to fisherman. "

Kaiza stood looking at the teen before him before putting on a smile.

"You can tag along with me if you want kid, but just so you know I'm not the most exciting company."

Arashi smiled himself before replying.

"Trust me, that last thing I want right now is excitement."

"What's that mean?"

"Well...I've had a hectic few months." Arashi said stepping up beside him as the pair moved down the road.

"Define hectic." Kaiza replied.

"Well, I discovered I had a cousin in Konoha."

"Konoha?" Kaiza asked surprised.

"Yeah. His name's Naruto Uzumaki."

"Which makes you an Uzumak?."

"Oh yeah. The name's Arashi Uzumaki." Arashi said.

"Kaiza." The fisherman said back to the teen in an introductory tone.

"Good to meet you Kaiza."

"Likewise Arashi."

The pair smiled to each other and kept the pace as for the first time since Arashi left the Land of Fire, it stopped raining.

Hiruzen sighed as another stack of paper work appeared at his desk that was illuminated by the moonlight. Today, hadn't been too terrible of a day. Various teams had their second missions today Team 8 assisted in tracking down a lost dog, Team 10 helped an elderly couple get supplies for an picnic, Team 7 had been assigned to track down Tora at Kakashi's request yet again after doing so the day before. That mission had been assigned this morning and much his surprise, they still hadn't located the cat. How did he know this? Well all he had to do was listen to and he could hear voice echo from on top his building.

"Where is that freaking cat?!"

"Tone it down Naruto!"

"We've checked this spot already!" A girl's voice said frustration very evident in her voice.

"Shit! Ok, screw it. I'll check the Hot springs." Sasuke said.

"I'll check the training grounds." Naruto replied.

"We could ask the Hokage." Sakura said speaking up, exhaustion seeping through each word she said.

"Sakura, If we can't find and catch a cat ourselves I won't be able to look Gramps in the eye."

"Agreed." The Uchiha shot back.

"Fine. I'll check the shopping district." Sakura replied defeated.

Looking out the window, Hiruzen's saw the three take off in separate directions and he sighed yet again as brush by Hiruzen's foot reminded him of his guest.

"Don't worry Tora, they'll find you eventually." Hiruzen's said petting the royal cat under his desk.

Before he could continue looking at the documents before him a large smokescreen filled the room. Once it disappeared, he was greeted by the face of a bandaged and black cloaked ex chief toad.

"Lord Fukasaku." Hiruzen's said surprised.

"Hiruzen, good to see you."

"So you've recieved my message?"Hiruzen asked remembering his assignment to Enma.

"Read it when we got home. Good timing actually." The elder replied.

"Why's that?" Hiruzen intrigued

"Jiraiya had... A little run in with trouble." Fukasaku said rubbing his bandaged head as evidence.

"Is he all right?" Hiruzen quickly asked.

"It's best you come see him yourself."

Hiruzen nodded and quickly made a Kage Bunshin that sat in his chair and poured through the documents .

"Shall we?" He asked the toad.

"Let's be on our way. One question through." Fukasaku said looking at the clone

Hiruzen looked at him ready to answer.

"If you hate the paper work so much, why don't you just make you're bunshins do it all the time?"

"I do from time to time. But at my age...well every man needs a hobby." Hiruzen said simply.

"People tend to like their hobbies." Fukasaku replied.

"I never said I didn't. It just gets a little tiring now and again."

"Ah, point made."

The two then disappeared in a cloud of smoke and reappeared in what was the home of Toad sages. A modest little hut with just enough room for a human to stand.

"Jiraiya's in the room with Ma. He's been out of it for most of the day. "

"What happened to him?" Hiruzen asked taking a seat.

"He apparently got some news from one of his contacts that they needed to speak in person about something in Ame. I'll be honest I don't know why he was there, but I do know I got summoned there because he was facing off against an old student of his and two S rank criminals."

Hiruzen took the revelation in strides. And after going through the surprise, and anger phases settled for being content that his student made it out alive.

"So how did he make it out of there?"

"He had help. A kid it looked like but this kid could make thousands of Kage Bunshins, and he was draped in what looked like a golden aura." Fukasaku said taking a sip from a smoking cup and offering it to Hiruzen.

As he declined, a door opened up and Shima came walking out.

"He got pretty banged up but the boy's going to be okay." Shima said relieved.

Fukasaku smiled and Hiruzen did the same before motioning for Fukasaku to continue.

"Yes, well when I realized what we were in for I asked sent word for Ma to join us. She ended up in Konoha instead."

"I told you I hadn't mastered that yet!" The female elder said speaking up.

"The point?" Hiruzen asked though he didn't hide a snicker of laughter at the female toad.

"When I was in Konoha, I was in front of a kid who seemed to know who I was. And when I was in Ame, several hours later, The teen who was gold had the same voice as the kid from Konoha." Shima told the Sandaime.

Hiruzen leaned back as he grasped hit information before a smile stretched across his face.

"Did you let anything slip while you were in Konoha?" Hiruzen asked turning to Shima

"Only that. Jiraiya was in trouble. But even if he knew Jiriaya, how could he get there in a matter of hours?"

A small laugh escaped Hiruzen before speaking

"Well that's certainly interesting."

"What do you mean?" Fukasaku asked.

"I think you had the pleasure of meeting Arashi Uzumaki."

The toads' eyes widened at hearing the last name.

"I think it'll best to wait until Jiriaya is up for me to explain." Saratobi said standing up.

"When he is up and about, send him to Konoha. I'll explain when he arrives."

"But Hiruzen..." Fukasaku began.

"It will be better to tell both of you than give the same story twice." Hiruzen said interrupting him.

"Trust me, It's complicated." Hiruzen said with a sigh.

Fukasaku made a reluctant nod and sent Hiruzen back to Konoha.

"Pa... Did Kushina ever mention any relatives?" Shima said looking at her husband trying to process the news.

"I don't think so Ma." Her husband spoke back.

"Either way, Jiraiya's in for one heck of a wake up call."

A modest chapter wouldn't you guys say? I can't say when I'll have the next out but I will say it won't be as long as a wait as this one.

Anyway if you could leave a review it would be greatly appreciated. See ya guys later.
