Previously on Wolf Slayer Left Behind:
"Who did we loose?" Lucy asks, rubbing the wolf's neck. "It looks like everyone's here."
"Two of my pups are dead." Lina says, tears gathering in her large blue eyes, making Lucy freeze.
"They killed pups?" Lucy snarls, removing her hands from the wolfs neck, so as to not kill her as her nails begin growing, becoming claws instead. "They will pay!"
Currently on Wolf Slayer Left Behind:
The guild looks at the furious blond as Laxus and Evergreen walk up calmly. Freed attempts to back away, only to be grabbed by Daren and shoved towards the blond, making the make stumble. Lucy's headd snaps towards the green-haired male and runs, as if on instinct, to steady him with a small smile.
"Be careful, Freed." Lucy says, pecking the male on the cheek without a second thought before turning to the wolf pack. "Is anyone else hurt, besides Lina?" Lucy asks, tilting her head. In response, two dark wolves limp forward, a whine escaping both muzzles.
"Jack? Darelle?" Lucy asks, looking at the two slim wolves who whimper in response, both favoring their right front paw rather than walking steadily. "You two tried protecting the pups, didn't you?" Lucy says, rather than asking. The two wolves nod their heads as they lay on their side, adrenaline leaving their system, pain overriding every other thought. Lucy immediately begins healing, smiling sadly as Lina whimpers, a pink light surrounding her as she transforms for the first time in months.
"Lucy-sama." Lina says, her golden yellow eyes trained on the blond healing the two teen wolves.
"Lina. How many times do I have to tell you to call me Lucy or Lu-chan? Or Luce?" Lucy asks, raising a slim brow at the brunette.
"Sorry." The brunette smiles at the blond, causing the blond to giggle lightly.
"It's fine, Lina. I'm sorry about Jake. He was a good wolf. He shouldn't have died. I'm going to avenge him to the fullest extent of my abilities." Lucy says, smiling at the brunette sadly.
"I want to kill the hunter that murdered my mate." Lina says.
"You have pups to care for." Lucy says softly. "I would let you if you did not have three pups to care for."
"It's my right as his mate!" Lina says, her voice slightly raising.
"You have to care for his pups! It's my duty as Alpha to make sure all my pack survives. Daren was stupid enough to leave the pack to come here. He should've known to bring the whole pack with him." Lucy snaps, her golden eyes glowing with her need to complete her duty.
"I have to have my revenge!" Lina screams.
"I will bring the hunter responsible to you." Lucy sighs. "That is my only compromise."
"Very well." Lina frowns a pink light surrounds her once more, allowing her to turn into her wolf form before grabbing her pups, cleaning each one gently. Lucy sighs as Daren curls up next to the brown wolf before finishing healing the two black wolves in front of her.
"Lucy?" Erza asks, her eyes alight in curiosity.
"Not now, Er-chan." Lucy say, her eyes alight with determination.
"Lucy?" Freed asks, making the blond sigh before turning around, her eyes alight with a fire that not many has seen before.
"What?" Lucy snaps, her anxiety fueling her usually non-existent temper.
"I feel funny." Freed says, making the blond facepalm and the wolves chuckle.
"You haven't told them?" Daren asks. Lucy snaps her head to face the silver wolf, making eye contact and initiating a mental conversation with her beta.
'You try telling the guild that my mate is a Rune Mage, and that because he's the mate of an Alpha, now, once Beta, he's going to transform into a Wolf Slayer.' Lucy snaps in her mind, making the silver wolf chuckle.
'That's easy. I'll tell them.' Daren replies, his eyes alight with mischief and delight.
"Don't you dare!" Lucy roars, shaking the guild hall slightly, startling the mages in the room, and those who just walked in. Daren chuckles before speaking aloud.
"I can tell you what's happening, Freed-sama." Daren says, making the blond glare at him.
"What's happening?" Freed asks anxiously.
"Because you are the mate to Luce-chan, who is our Alpha, was the Beta at the time she discovered you are her mate, you are transforming into a Wolf Slayer to keep up with her." Daren says, his lips stretching into a wolfy version of a smug grin.
"You bastard!" Lucy screams. "I told you not to fucking tell and what do you fucking do? Your asshole self just has to go and fucking tell the whole fucking guild the very thing I told you not to fucking tell!"
~Cricket~
The guild stared at the blond in stunned silence, the only sound the harsh breathing of the wolves and the slight chuckle from the silver wolf.
"I didn't know she had it in her." Laxus comments, making the guild stare blankly, trying to process the fact that their sweet and innocent blond wasn't as sweet and innocent as they orignally thought.
"Gihi. Bunny Girl has a mouth." Gajeel says, only for a smack to resound, making Lucy look at Levy, her lips stretching into a large grin.
"You go, Levy-chan!" Lucy shouts before turning to the wolves. "Jack. Darelle. Lina. Daren. You four are staying here." Lucy says, her voice stern, allowing her magic to leak into her eyes and voice, showing how serious.
"Hai." Jack, Darelle and Lina says, bowing their heads before trotting over to a corner, each one holding one of Lina's pups.
"Why me?" Daren says. "I should be fighting with you."
"You need to care for Lina and the pups. And you need to hunt. The pups are too young to fend for themselves and Lina, Darelle and Jack are recouperating. I may have healed them, but any further injuries could make the magic backfire." Lucy says in a soothing tone.
"Lucy-nee?" Romeo says, walking up to the blond.
"Yes, Romeo?" Lucy asks, kneeling down to look the teen in the eye.
"Can I fight with you?" He asks, his face void of joking.
"You shouldn't." Lucy says.
"Lucy-nee!" Romeo whines.
"I know you want to help, Romeo. But this isn't your battle. This is mine and my pack's. I don't want to involve others if I don't have to. I have to think of other's safety. I can't protect everyone." Lucy says, settling her arm on Romeo's shoulder.
"I want to help you, Lucy-nee. I can help you!" Romeo insists.
"Romeo." Macao calls, his voice stern. "Lucy said no."
"But father!" Romeo whines, dropping the tough act he had adopted.
"I want to fight, too, Lucy-nee." Wendy says, making Lucy sigh.
"You two will not stop until I give in, will you?" Lucy asks, looking at the two mages.
"Not we won't." Romeo says.
"Yeah!" Wendy chimes in.
"Fine, but when this is over, you two are grounded." Lucy says, looking at the two sternly. "Is that okay with you, Macao?" Lucy asks, looking at the elder mage.
"Hai." Macao says with a sigh.
Lucy's POV
Just one thing I wanted to avoid. I didn't want to invovle Fairy Tail. I don't want them going to jail for my crimes. I sigh once more before allowing myself to be covered in the golden light signaling my transformation, looking up proudly as a new black patch surrounds my right eye, signaling my role as rightful Alpha, kneeling to allow Freed, Romeo and Wendy to climb on my back.
"Gina. Allow Evergreen to ride you." I say, growling when the black wolf tries protesting. As Evergreen climbs on the black wolf, sitting proudly, I walk to the door, pausing to glare at the guild members. "If anyone tries following us, there will be consequences." I say before turning and walking out with the able members of the pack following behind me, Gina flanking my right as another wolf flanks my left.
"Where are we going?" Evergreen asks curiously.
"My training grounds. Hold on tight." I say before I race off, my muscles coiling and uncoiling as my claws dig into the earth, ripping it up and sending it flying behind me as I move forward, feeling three pairs of hands clutching my fur in a deathgrip. I vaguely hear the others behind me, easily keeping up with my speed.
