Disclaimer: I don't own Kingdom Hearts. Seriously, I don't. XD
A/N: I'm back with another update on this fic! My life has been busy lately with school, and I'm pretty stressed out and stuff because of the activities and not to mention, the people I have to deal with. Writing new chapters is like eating cake for me now. Because I barely eat cake, but when I do, I'd melt with happiness. Anyways, here's a new chapter featuring...drumroll... Demyx! He deserves to be featured since he's got mad skills on the sitar. XD Thanks to all who read, faved, and alerted! :D Shoutout to Mirae-no-sekai, WritingKnights, Victoria5624, and Do A Barrel Roll for reviewing! Cookies for you guys since I love reading reviews and you guys brightened up my day! Anyway, I hope you guys like this chapter! :D
Chapter Word Count: 1000 (Yay! Just the limit! XD)
P.S.: I'm really cautious about the internet nowadays, because of those 3 acts they want to turn into laws (you guys know what I'm talking about). The internet deserves freedom!
Oh, and I'm sorry, gals and guys, if I don't update regularly. I'm on my junior year in high school and it's been pretty hectic and I am stressed. Plus, I'm dealing with social issues since a lot of kids in my class don't really like me. I don't like the feeling since it's the same with feeling bullied. One of them even talked wrongly about my mom before. And the worse part is, I haven't even done anything to them and I even help them in class. Those are actually the real reasons why I barely update - school stress, including the people in my school. Plus I'm in a military-like training course in school (need to join it 'coz I'll have privilages next year if I finish the course) and I have been fatigued and cramped for two weeks straight. :( I'm really sorry guys, but I promise I'll update more and be even more upbeat! :D Just bear with my moody state for one chapter. XD

The Strife boys decided to continue composing their song the next day at lunch time. Their other friends would send them weird stares, seeing as they haven't touched their food yet. Axel came over and tried to snatch away Roxas' tray, only to be punched accidentally at the gut by the blond. Vanitas found it extremely funny and received a punch on his shoulder.
"If Axel keeps using me as a punching bag, I might as well retaliate," he growled. Ventus hushed him and finally noticed his food.
"We still have minutes to spare if we eat first," he told his brothers, taking a bite out of his chicken burger afterwards. "Mmm! They finally had the common sense to put ketchup AND tomatoes in it!"
"No wonder Axel tried to steal my meal… I forgot that I bought a spicy burger."
"Hey Axel! I'll give you a spicy burger if you go to the concert with me!" they heard a voice say. They turned around and saw a blond guy who was classmates with Axel. He was also a good friend of Roxas and owned the sitar which Sora cleaned daily in the previous month. Demyx Myde was on his knees, holding Axel's ankle as if his life depended on it.
"Demyx, I won't go with you even if you shower me with a million spicy burgers!" Axel shouted.
"Oh really?" Demyx asked. He waved the wrapped burger in front of Axel. "Alright, maybe I might if you could actually give me a million spicy burgers. But for now, NO. You'll just annoy the crap outta me in the concert and I don't even like the performer!"
"You don't even know who performing!" Demyx retorted. Axel walked away as if he wasn't in a conversation. "It's your loss! I'm gonna take… uh… Roxas! I'm gonna take Roxas instead!"
The entire populous in the cafeteria eyed down Roxas and Demyx, Axel glaring at the mullet-haired blond. There was a reason he disliked Demyx. Maybe it was his annoyingly friendly nature or his stalker-ish attitude on him. He didn't expect that Roxas would give Demyx's offer a chance though.
"Really?" he asked. "Who's performing?"
Demyx sheepishly grinned. "Me."
"Do you have extra three tickets?" Sora asked excitedly. Demyx looked at them with hopeful eyes. "Oh, I know the guy who sells tickets. I'll be happy to buy you guys some IF you promise to go!" he said childishly. Axel rolled his eyes from afar, but was dismayed when he heard the Strife boys give Demyx a loud yes for their answer.
...
At the day of the concert, the boys couldn't contain themselves. It was their first time to watch a concert, regardless of the exact fame the performer has. And to their surprise, there were a ton of people. Did they know Demyx? How famous was he, exactly?
"Oh my gosh! It's Demyx Myde!"
"I can't wait! I absolutely love him!"
"How did Demyx get this famous? Especially to the ladies?" Vanitas huffed, rolling his eyes at every fangirling comment that was in his range of hearing.
"Well, he made a website which has all the videos of him singing and stuff," Roxas replied. "I like his music too. Most of them are relaxing. He plays his sitar amazingly."
"You don't have to tell me again," Sora said happily. "I am proud that I had cleaned that thing before."
Vanitas rolled his eyes. "Famous or not, he's still a wimp."
"With great musical prowess," Ventus added smartly. He smirked and ruffled Vanitas' hair out of habit to annoy the eldest quadruplet. Sora sniggered as he looked at one of Demyx's posters – Axel had obviously tampered with a couple of them. Demyx had an unrealistic moustache on a couple of his posters, each with a different style.
"I have a feeling Axel is here," Roxas muttered.
Later on, the boys stood together amidst a surprisingly large crowd that held the majority of teenage girls in their area. They were squealing, jumping, grabbing.
Soon enough, the lights dimmed and the chattering around them faded from earshot. A gigantic spotlight turned to Demyx, who was at the center of the stage, holding his sitar. He stood up, walked towards the microphone, and laughed nervously.
"Uhh, so…"
Squeals came again, annoying Vanitas even further. "Man, I hate this!" he told Ven. The younger blond simply smiled. "Soon enough, we'll have fans like these, Vani."
"I'm Demyx Myde, I am from Radiant Garden, I'm studying in Radiant High, I play the sitar…"
"Is he introducing himself in class? Moron," Vanitas added. Ven elbowed him in the rib. "Shut up, Vanitas!"
"And this is my first time to perform in front of a lot of people, excluding the times I performed in school." Another laugh. "So I'm going to sing the first song I composed. Hope you like my song, "A Nobody's Whisper"."
The boys, along with the rest of the audience, applauded and gave a whoop before silencing as the gentle plucking sound of the sitar's strings captivated their hearing.
Walking down the oblivion
Death might be your fate
Wandering on a mission
Is my path really straight?
The boys watched in awe, praising Demyx silently as he continued singing his composition. His voice was filled with passion and sang the song in a sentimental way that almost made Ventus' eyes tear up. The sitar's tune and melody pleased their ears and they could feel the power of Demyx's song despite it being quite a mellow song.
"What's the song all about, Roxas?" Sora asked.
"Hmm… well, I think it's about a person, a nobody, who wants to speak out, but can't, because he's too afraid," Roxas answered.
I just want a world to see
With no strings attached to me
But then my purpose would be gone
I'd be a heartless, mirthless pawn
The song soon ended with a powerful strum. And the boys couldn't help but idolize Demyx after the concert ended two hours later.
