Wow. This took over a month. I'm sorry, but with school starting and deciding that I actually give a shit plus working has made me lazy about writing. Real life's a bitch. Anyway, please review!

Fortunately, Once Again
Chapter 11
Cryptic Messages and Concerned Friends
With some trepidation, Hubb Lebowski unlocked the door to his sister's house. Odd. There was only a single plant that he could see. And Cher had almost stressed the plural. He looked around, glancing, searching.
Eventually, his eyes fixed on a crumbling, solitary book that wasn't on the many shelves. It was resting alone on the window seat, and that in and of itself was very unlike Cher. His sister never left anything out of place, especially when she knew she wouldn't be home for a while.
He approached it cautiously, almost as though fearful that it would explode, and when it was finally in his hands, he leafed through the pages, gently, carefully. Despite his caution with handling the old tome, the words within it caused him to drop it.
"God damnit Cher!" Hubb yelled to nothing, "Why the fuck are you doing this again?!"
He blinked away the vision of a slightly more buxom version of his sister, dying in a cold wasteland. Looking to the book that lay open on the floor, Hubb noticed another paper peering from the rumpled pages. Soon the note was in his hands, the book tucked in his bag.
"Hubb,
If you remember anything, you're probably face-palming about how unoriginal I've been. Even if you haven't remembered, that's okay. In fact, that's probably better. Just ignore that irksome sense of Deja vu. Cheza and I are looking for Tsume and the boy's he's with, do what you can to get Blue and Quent going. And god damn it, be careful.
Regards,
Cher,"
Hubb scratched his forehead.
What?
I was hot, I was hungry and, "Damn it runt! Just shut up already!" I shouted at Toboe, who looked at me confusedly.
"Why are you mad? Don't you wonder what paradise is like too?"
"No. I don't, because paradise doesn't exist."
"Then by did you even come?" the older wolf demanded. I just shrugged, "The town was just getting too small," I muttered, "Is all."
I was tired, I was hot, I was hungry, and quite god damn frankly, I really missed the city, with it's shitty, but thankfully plentiful, food, with it's cooler temperatures due to the environmental dome, and even Gehl's frequent annoyances.
I fluffed my fur in an attempt to let cool air brush my skin. I wanted to pull on my human skin, just so I could sweat, but I wouldn't be able to run quite so fast, and I was falling behind as it was. I hung out my tongue as far as it would go and put on an extra burst of speed. A town was coming up, and it was drenched in the scent of lunar flower.
"Ugh, I hate driving such long hours," Cher groaned aside to Cheza, as they settled into their hotel room.
"Well, This One suspects that we are in their current path of travel, perhaps we can meet up with the wolves soon."
"Once you're with them," Cher questioned, "what am I going to do?"
"You wish to watch over Tsume? Is that not true?" Cheza asked softly.
"Erm... yeah," Cher squirmed.
"Then stay. Be his protector."
"What kind of protection could a wolf possible need?"
Cheza smiled hazily, "The kind only a human could possibly give."
Back in Desert City, two original characters lay forgotten. They were originally just supposed to be filler characters, but due to a random decision made by the author, they suddenly matter.
At their usual place at the lunch table, Sally, a young black female with a wild curly afro that she was too lazy (read too broke) to get put into some sort of weave, turned to Jacoby, a boy with starkly pale skin and bright red hair worthy of any Gary-Stu.
"Where's Hige?" Sally questioned, "he hasn't been here these past few days..."
"Meh. At least you don't have to suffer through his perverted jokes," Jacoby pointed out, running a hand through his hair, which was remarkably long.
"Well, there is that," The girl responded, "But I almost miss them."
"You miss th-"
"I said almost," Sally cut Jacoby short, "In any case, I'm worried."
"Yeah. I am too," the redhead disclosed, "But is it really worth it to bother? Hige can take care of himself."
"I think we should go by his place."
After a moment of silence, Jacoby sighed.
"You're right, we should"
The reason for the reemergence of the two O.C.s? I needed to make this longer and Hanabito Tia's dead. Besides, they'll add an element of renewal to the story, I think.
so please review, and tell me if y'all get annoyed by how often I brake the fourth wall.
