(A/N)- So what's up you guys? I hope you have enjoyed this long awaited fight scene! I'm sorry it took so long to write… But that RWBY episode 8 huh? Pretty sweet huh?
The team of rogues sat around a crooked table in their dimly lit apartment, trying to work out a plan. The door was covered in flimsy furniture stacked haphazardly against it. The windows were blocked by legs of chairs and some end tables they found around the room. It wasn't much, but it was something.
"Look, I only have a pistol. How in the hell am I supposed to defend myself?"
Orland began, slamming his metal fist against the table. Raven pinched the bridge of her nose.
"Well, I only have two pistols out of the several I had on my person a week ago." She countered. Grend laid their hands on the table, shrugging.
"Orland, you've got that hand I made you. It's more than enough for you to use as a defense mechanism before we stock up on supplies." Grend replied calmly. Ulric nodded, his head hanging in thought.
"Grend, you said you saw a Beacon girl? A powerful one?" Ulric asked. Grend nodded a reply, and the bigger man turned towards his team with upturned palms on the table. "Well, how long do we have before they make a move?" He finished. Grend put a finger against their lips in concentration, staring at the table. They sat in grim silence for a few minutes before they heard a slight creaking noise from the window.
"What in the hell-" Orland started, but was cut off by two teenage girls, one blonde and one with a bow, shattering the window and breaking through the makeshift blockade easily as they swung in. The team of criminals snapped their gaze towards the dirty door as it swung open, furniture being flung to the side and revealing a girl with a red cloak and a girl with a rapier poised in their direction.
"Pick one and take them down!" Ulric commanded, unsheathing his sword. The blade was solid white and gleaming in the dim light. "I'll take the red one!"
Ulric and Grend charged at Ulric's command. Grend activated their collapsable shield, using it to block a fiery projectile from the yellow girl. Orland and Raven provided covering fire, shooting at the assaulting Huntresses.
The two melee fighters met with their opponents. Ulric swung at the small red girl, who he took to be the leader. Grend clashed kukri on rapier with the white haired girl, who they knew to be Weiss Schnee, heir of the Schnee Dust Company. She would fetch a couple of Lien to the right people, they thought.
Ulric spun, and tried to stop the blonde brawler from charging past him, but missed her by an inch. He spun back, and blocked a particularly large hit from the red girls monstrous scythe. He saw the black haired one, assumedly the one that Grend saw, throw a chain scythe at him. Ulric ducked low to dodge, but came up from the ground with a rising strike. He split the ribbon on the chain scythe in two, The blade scattered across the floor, coming to a halt in front of Orland.
Grend blocked a flurry of strikes from the heiress, her rapier glowing with a blue light. Grend swung with a downward stroke, only for their blade, sword arm, and right side to be encased in ice. Grend tried to break out, but the ice seemed unnaturally strong. Their shield compacted and popped out into crossbow form. They tried to aim it at the heiress, but the ice blocked their arm. They scowled, and resorted to firing at the one with a bow in her hair. They fired off the bolt and it found its way into the black haired girl's wrist. She shrieked and dropped to the floor, back against the wall. She stared wide eyed and teeth bared at her bleeding wrist, the bolt sticking out. The last thing Grend saw as he spun around was the pommel of Schnee's rapier. It slammed against their forehead, and the lights went out, causing them to tumble to the ground.
All the while, Raven was firing at the charging blonde. Her bullets hit the Huntresses golden gauntlets, and bounced off. Raven felt one of her own bullets ricochet back at her, and when she looked down, she saw that the bullet had left a shallow wound across her upper arm. During her distraction, Yang was easily able to close the gap between the two.
Orland swung at the brawler with the black haired girl's sword, but Yang blocked it with her gauntlets, grabbed his wrist, and threw him into the opposite wall in one fell swoop. She kicked the katana over to her downed teammate, who was still huddled against the wall, trying to treat her wound.
Raven used her bladed pistol to attack the blonde. She attacked quickly, both with stabs and with slashes. Her busty opponent dodged one after another effortlessly, before bring her foot down over Raven's head with a falling axe kick. Raven's world went black.
"You mother fucker!" Roared Orland, rising from the ground and holding his right arm out before him. His open palm was positioned straight towards Raven's attacker.
"Oh, you want some too, huh?" Mocked Yang, pulling her fists up into a fighting stance with a grin. Orland did not give her a chance to fight.
"What are you doing to me?" Yang barked in fear. She was floating now, three feet off the ground. She felt it difficult to move her limbs, but was still able to fire a flaming round towards Orland, who merely stepped aside.
Ulric saw Grend drop, still half standing because of the ice. He blocked once more against the scythe wielding reaper before giving her a forceful kick to the stomach, sending her reeling. Ulric took a large wind up, taking the Ice Queen by surprise as she charged. Her reflexes were fast enough to spawn a protective glyph of sorts in front of her, but even that could not stop the sheer force of Ulric's strike. He caught her clear across the stomach, lifting her from the ground, and into the nearby cupboard. The wood splintered apart, some shards hitting his face, close to his eyes. Ulric grabbed the unconscious girl, and pressed his aura blade against her throat.
"One more move and she dies." Said Ulric, threatening the girl in front of him.
"Let. Me. Go!" Yelled Yang, each word punctuated with a gunshot and and an aggressive wiggle between words. She was being pushed back by Orland, as he suspended her in midair.
"Gladly." Orland muttered. He brought his hand in close to himself, before pushing out with as much force as he could muster. Yang flew into the opposite wall, between Ruby and Ulric's white haired captive. She crumpled to her knees in front of the now cracked wall.
"You're in trouble now…" Yang retorted venomously, rising to her feet. Her hair was alight with flames, and her eyes glowing a brilliant red.
This, however, did not stop Orland from picking her up again, and throwing her against the wall a second time. The wall now had a large Yang shaped indention in it.
"You…. Asshole!" Screamed Yang in a rage. She rose flaming like the phoenix, charging Orland with surprising speed. He caught her a hair's length away, picking her up once more.
"If you throw me into that wall again, I'll kill you myself!" Shrieked Yang, screaming in Orland's face.
"Oh, don't worry. I would never dream of it." Whispered Orland, his fist clenching. "How does the window sound?" With that, as Orland said, she was tossed from the room. Leaving through the very window she came in. Orland now turned on the last remaining team member of RWBY.
"Wait!" Pleaded Ruby. "Let me and my friends go, and you have my word that we won't come after you." She was practically weeping, seeing her friends brought down around her, but the fire in her eyes would never go out.
Ulric thought about this proposal for a moment, considering the options. This took too long for Orland, however. He strode towards Ruby.
Ruby unfolded her scythe once more, and brought the blade down on Orland. It took her a moment to realize that her attack did no damage, as it was effortlessly blocked by the metallic arm of the criminal looming over her. Orland held the blade above his head, looking down at her.
"Wrong move." Said Orland, wrapping his fingers around the blade, and wrenching it from her grasp. He grabbed her by the throat with his metal hand. She could feel the cold steel of his hand against her bare neck, as he began to choke the life from her.
"Blake…." She coughed. "Blake go." Ruby sputtered out, barely breathing. Orland just then noticed the black haired girl, rising off the ground, sword in her off hand. An arrow in her other.
"Orland!" He loosened his grip at the sound of Ulric's booming voice. "Let her go now." He ordered roughly.
Orland thought for a moment as he stared coldly into the dying silver eyes of the red headed menace, before coming to his senses. He dropped the red girl, who had since turned blue from lack of air.
"Here." Ulric pushed the white haired woman to her leader. "Take her. And leave."
The hooded girl hoisted her friend onto her shoulder, and walked towards the door, her friend in the bow following. Her hand was completely soaked in her own blood, from the quarrel stuck in her wrist. Ulric did not offer to remove it.
The three girls left the apartment, and Orland watched from the window as they helped the brawler to her feet. From where he had thrown her, she had collapsed on the sidewalk. She seemed no worse for ware.
"Ok ok ok…. We need to go. Now." commanded Ulric in a fluster. The ice encasing Grend had long since vanished, and they now sprawled across the ground at their feet. "I'll help Grend, you help Raven." Ulric picked up Grend, and slung them over his shoulder, barely feeling the weight. Orland did the same with Raven.
"Orland…." Whispered a weak voice. Orland looked down at Raven, barely conscious. "Go to where you found me at… ok?" She was having a difficult time speaking, most of her words were slurred together. But Orland knew what she meant.
"Ok, I will. Sleep now…. Alright?" She nodded to him, then fell back under the influence of unconsciousness. He picked her up in his arms, holding her against his chest.
"We need to go to the Black Market." Orland said quietly as he passed Ulric.
"The Black Market? Are you insane? Why would we go there?" Ulric asked, a shocked tone in his voice and a confused look on his face.
"A little bird told me to." He said, before walking out of the door.
