Ianto finished making their meal with John's help. Then together the two of them plated up the food serving it to their families. Ianto set a large helping of everything down in front of Jack and then a smaller portion in front of the Doctor before settling down with his own. He wasn't the least bit surprised when the Doctor made no move to pick up his own fork as he opened his mouth for Jack to feed him. Jack gave him a bite of eggs then handed the Time Lord a piece of bacon to snack on while he took a bite for himself. When the Doctor finished his piece of bacon, he picked up his own fork holding it in his fist. Stabbing at a piece of egg, he brought the fork upside down to his mouth.

"Doctor, hold your fork right," Martha chastised him. The Doctor looked her directly in the eye as he blatantly ignored her. He stabbed another piece of egg twisting his arm as he brought the fork to his mouth still upside down.

"Doctor," Jack warned with his tone. The Doctor sighed as he moved the fork so that he was holding it correctly. He still stabbed the next piece and then flicked it onto the floor for Artemis rather than bring it to his mouth.

"That's naughty," William spoke up.

"It is. You know better than to throw food on the floor, don't you?" John questioned him. William nodded as he took another bite of his own food. The Doctor rolled his eyes as he on purposely threw another piece of food for Artemis. He then took a bite making sure to hold the fork correctly and bring it to his mouth upright.

"Thank you, sweethearts," Jack told him as he kissed him on the side of the head. The Doctor smiled at him as he tried to sit a little taller as he ate.

"I was thinking after breakfast of taking a look at the Doctor's wall before I started on the crown. And maybe, if he was up to it, seeing if he could try to assist me in fixing it," John informed Jack.

"While I would be happy to have you look at his wall, I don't think it is a good idea to have him help you with the crown," Jack responded.

"I know he probably won't be much help. I plan to use the time in order to help judge his mental capacity in order to figure out how to help him regain independence.

"I don't know," Jack trailed off as he looked at the Time Lord who was using his fork incorrectly again.

"It will be just for a few hours. He will be right here in the garage with me the entire time," John promised.

"I just don't know if it is a good idea. You know how he gets when he is in new places," Jack argued as he ran a hand through the Time Lord's hair.

"All he is trying to do is help the Doctor. The way you are arguing, it seems as if you like him this way," Rose stated. Jack glared at her.

"Don't you dare," Jack seethed. "You think I like this? You think I like taking care of him like he is a child. I dress him each morning in his suit having to help him with the buttons then each night I have to help him into his pajamas but at least now I get to sleep with him in my arms. Before, when he first returned, he spent the night panicking as he paced the cells. Those scars all over his arms are self-inflicted as he took his anger out on his own body. It is only because of the TARDIS that he doesn't have to go into that cell each night. She calms his mind enough that he is able to fall asleep peacefully and it is thanks to your husband that his panic attacks during the day aren't violent anymore either."

"I didn't mean," Rose started but Jack wasn't having it.

"I can't shower by myself without him coming in to join me, regardless of whether or not he just showered. If the temperature isn't perfect for him, I better adjust it before he does it himself. I also can't have sex with my own lover unless he chooses to sleep in another room or we have a quickie while he is in another room. Ianto says he understands but imagine not being able to show the love you want to John because someone else is always there watching."

"Yet you have the nerve to say, I like him like this when I would give up everything just to have him back to the way he was. I would give up the cuddles, the kisses and having him in my arms just to know that he was out there somewhere saving a planet. That he was running with a companion not thinking of those waiting for him back on earth as he showed that person the universe. I would have his hatred, his anger, his absolute disgust at my touch, just to have him whole once more," Jack tried not to scream at her.

"I'm sorry, Jack. John has told me how hard it has been on you since he changed. It was a stupid comment and I am sorry," Rose apologized to Jack. She didn't mean it, but that was pointless to try to explain to Jack while he was still so angry at her. Ever since she woke up, she had a problem with her mouth getting ahead of her brain. Thankfully, John was understanding as some of the things that came out of her mouth sounded cruel, even if they weren't meant to be.

"I think we should ask the Doctor," Martha input quietly. Jack turned to look at the Doctor, who was now just stabbing haphazardly at his food. He hadn't eaten a bite since the arguing started as he wanted to run away but also be near Jack.

"What do you think, love?" Jack questioned him gently.

"I want to help, John," the Doctor answered his words slow in order to make himself clear.

"That settles it then. After breakfast, John and the Doctor can start working on the crown while you and I go into your office to check in on Torchwood," Ianto told Jack. Jack nodded. Checking in was probably a good idea and while they were in there he could have a quickie with his lover in order to calm down. No longer as hungry, he picked up another piece of bacon and handed it to the Doctor.
