Chapter 11
RPOV
It's been a couple of months since I had the twins. Dimitri and I couldn't be happier. We have friends and family around to help us take care of the twins. It's been months since anyone has seen a strigoi. I can't help but wonder if there are any left out there. I returned to the academy to finish up my guardian training. Kyle and Prudence came with me along with Dimitri. Lissa and Christian helped me with classes and taking care of the kids. It was hard to be away from them.
"Lissa, can I ask you a serious question?" she looked at me with concern on her face. I could feel it though the bond as well. She is worried about something.
"What are you worried about? All I asked was if I could ask you a serious question."
"Rose, there is something we've been keeping from you for a while now. I was against keeping it from you, but everyone thought it would be better not to say anything to you" now I was feeling extreme guilt. I narrowed my eyes at her and her guilt go more profound though the bond.
"What are you not telling me Lissa?" she knew I wasn't going to let her off the hook now. I had she squirming in her chair. She got really lucky the bell rang because I was about to grill her on the subject. She shot out of her chair and bolted from me. I got caught in the crowed and she disappeared.
"Damn it!" she wasn't going to get out of this. I could only imagen what I looked like. Everyone who looked at me back up against the wall trying to get away from me.
"LISSA!" I shouted down the hall when I saw her surrounded by Dimitri, Christian, Adrian, my mom and other guardians. They all knew I was pissed off. It didn't last long when they presented me with both of my babies. They were playing dirty! I took my kids, then turned away from them with a dirty look. When I saw the look on Lissa's face, I was stumped.
Was that fear I just saw on her face? Why would she be scared? Was she scared of me? Why?
I turned and walked away.
