Weeks later, Astrid waited to catch sight of Hiccup's boat. There are had been no news until this morning from him. He had sent his small dragon on ahead with a message that he was arriving back sometime this afternoon. Soon she saw the sail on the horizon, and she ran and jumped on Stormfly. "He's back!" she yelled to the others.
They ran for their dragons too and quickly followed her to the sky. Hiccup's mom joined them as they rushed to the boat. Astrid, because of her lead, reached the boat first and landed. "Where's Hiccup?" she asked the crew. "Down in the hold with Toothless. But…" before he could finish Astrid headed down into the hold.
"Hiccup?" Astrid called, "Where are you?" She walked slowly through the hold. Suddenly something loomed out of the darkness. She reached for her axe…. as a pair of lips met hers. As the kiss ended, Hiccup's voice came from the darkness, "Boy do I have a lot to tell you."
