Khalsa - Khalsa that is because as i have shown that the man calls Abhijeet sir as Inspector although abhijeet sir is a SR . Inspector. Also dekho attack toh woh sirf unka mobile etc bhi track karwa ke kar sakta hai...phir mission mein bhi sirf cid ke officers toh honge nahi...other departments are also involved, bas issliye. He woke up with the sudden ringer of his cell and was feeling shocked to find himself in sitting position over study chair.
He was feeling high pain in his head and in that only got up while trying to ease his headache by pressing his head slightly and picked up his cell after finding it over side table of his bed….he said in low tone…
" Hello.."
" SIR? Aap theek hain…aapki awaaz…"
Abhijeet while interrupting the caller… " haan DANSH I am fine…( he jerked his head while pressing it slightly to ease his pain) tum batao…kyun phone kiya…"
The caller named DANSH was not satisfied at all as after Niyati, Vivek and Rajat it was him who was so close to ACP of CID banglore well not exactly. He said while feeling pain and stress in that tone… " sir kya aap soye nahi raat bhar…aapke sir mein dard…main abhi RAJAT sir ko…"
Abhijeet interrupting him in anger… " Nahi DANSH…main…main theek hun.. halka sa dard hai theek hojayega…(controlling his pain) tum batao kyun phone kiya tha mujhe…"
But Dansh said while proving whose blood he was… " sir aap araam karein...main…
Abhijeet stern… " Dansh salah nahi maang raha hun main tumse samjhe…batao kiss liye call kiya tha mujhe…"
Dansh said after thinking for few minutes… " sir aapko bhi site per jana tha toh maine aapko batane ke liye call kiya tha ki main aapko pick kar lunga…theek haina sir?"
Abhijeet was still feeling slight pain so said after listening all… " haan theek hai..1 ghante mein aa jana acha…"
Dansh nodded and cutting the call immediately hurried to get ready as he was still on his bed and had called his head to inform him regarding his ill health but after listening that tone all he could manage was this.
Abhijeet sat over his bedside and taking out a pain killer from the drawer gulped it down with water and sat on same place for few minutes in order to relax himself but after remembering what the young DANSH said to him and his concern, he couldn't help his mind from wandering off in memories…
" boss bas bangaye superhero…chalo abh zara doctor se milwata hun tumhe…"
" aapka kaam hogaya ho toh ghar ke darshan karlein…"
" yaar sir dard hai toh araam karo na….ye baar baar dawa kyun khane lag jaate ho tum…"
" main aaunga pick kerne samjhe…usse pehle hilna nahi…"
He shrugged off the caring words and loving memories of his buddy as hearing his cell ringing again so picked it up without looking at the caller and just said…
" maine kaha than a DANSH main theek hun…"
He stopped as heard a concerned tone from other side wihich made him take a sigh…
" sir…aap theek hain? Kya hua aap Dansh se aise…kya investigation ke dauran kal kuch…sir…main abhi Dansh ko phone karke…"
Abhijeet jerked his head back and then replied in calm tone…
" Rajat saans toh lelo…(rajat became silent, abhijeet calmly) kuch nahi hua hai sabh theek hai…jaante hona tum DANSH ko…woh waise hi mere liye hyper rehta hai…subah usska call aaya toh main soke hi utha tha bas issliye usse laga ki meri tabiyet theek nahi…( rajat smiled softly while abhijeet added in tease) hogayi investigation…
A shy smile appeared on Rajat's face as he replied… " nahi sir..bas…(changing the topic) sir hum log bhi bas bureau ke liye niklenge kuch dair mein..."
Abhijeet smiled and replied to the smart officer as… " aur kuch rajat?"
Rajat hesitantly… "aur…aur kuch kya sir..nahi kuch bhi toh…(VIVEK who was now coming out with tea nudged him while rajat looked towards him with helpless look).
Abhijeet shook his head and replied while preparing to cut the call… " acha theek hai…chalo phir sambhalke rehna hai…khyaal rakhna…main rakhta..
Vivek again nudged Rajat and this time Rajat said finally in hurry… " sir main pooch raha tha aap theek haina…main ya vivek koi aa jaye…( a smile came across abhijeet's face while rajat in low tone) sorry sir magar hum…woh…"
Abhijeet said softly to both as knew cell must be on speaker mode… " rajat… vivek main theek hun…tum logon ko 3 din ki chutti milli haina…enjoy karo…aur dhyaan rakho kisin activity ka bhi meri chinta mein apni chutti na bekaar ker dena acha…."
Rajat in extremely low tone… " sir woh hum log kuch aur bhi pooch…
Abhijeet softly as already knew that that issue was not main… " bolo rajat main intezaar kar raha hun…"
Rajat asked vivek to continue who after taking a breath said…
" sir hum soch rahe the…hum…woh…daya sir ko (abhijeet focused after hearing the name) aapke bare mein…sir itna waqt hogaya hai…ek baar…sir unhe pata bhi nahi shayad…"
Abhijeet uttered in shock tone…. "vivek…"
Rajat trying to save vivek… " sir hum log bas aise hi…yeh hum dono ka sochna…sir please sabh kuch ek baar clear…"
Abhijeet silently… " Rajat…Vivek…tayaar hojao tum log bhi…mujhe bhi nikalna hai…take care…"
And he cut the call after that and in same silence went to get ready.
Here rajat looked towards Vivek who was looking silent and said while placing hand over his shoulder…
" Vivek…kuch nahi hota hai…hume already ehsaas toh tha na ki abhijeet sir ka yahi reaction hoga phir kyun tum…"
Vivek said while getting up now as both sitting over couch… " sir shayad hume abhi yeh baat yahi daba deni chahiye…"
He left the place after that while Rajat sighed as it was during early morning only that both had made this plan on Vivek's continuous wish to atleast give that healing a start though Rajat was still not agreeing but due to Vivek hope both carried forward and the result obviously made vivek upset.
Daya's Residence.
Again he was following the same routine as freshening up and getting ready but somehow he was now starting to feel tired as from 2 years he had rarely taken any voluntarily holiday as what he did inside his home alone?
He missed his buddy.
In very simple and plain words he really did miss him and was guilty of the decision they took 2 years back despite knowing that what would be the consequences of that decision.
Almost every day he was hoping for any news on his buddy as after that day his buddy had completely separated himself from all of them and as now almost everyone in bureau knew….you cannot find Sr . Inspector Abhijeet if he is not willing to be found.
Taking a deep sigh he carried on with his breakfast though today he was feeling that something new was there around him. But he shook of the feeling as received a call so picking it up after seeing caller ID as…
" haan freddy itni subah subah kaise?"
"nahi sir woh bas main…main.. sir aapne breakfast kar liya?"
A smile appeared on daya's face as he replied smoothly… " maine toh kar liya hai freddy, kyun?"
Freddy said in sad tone… " nahi sir woh main soch raha tha manisha nahi hai ghar per toh hum saath mein hi nashta ker lete…"
Daya smiled softly and said… " hmmm…acha phir batao kahan karna hai…"
Freddy uttered in shock… "magar sir aap toh kar chuke na nashta phir dobara…"
Daya in soft smile… " main free ka nashta abh bhi nahi chodta hun freddy…"
Freddy smiled and just said in excited tone… " acha sir theek hai phir aap mujhe MANIMAL CAFÉ mein mile…abhi 30 minutes mein?"
Daya said while feeling confused… " acha theek hai freddy…chalo rakhta hun phir…"
Daya whispered suspiciously… " Manimal Café…lekin freddy toh humsesha se DINING mein jaata hai…hmm.."
He got up and after disposing his plates moved to his room to take his wallet, gun, badge etc and after that left the house after locking the main door.
In whole way he was quite confused as MANIMAL Café was not a place at all where freddy would dine in as freddy mostly loved indian food while manimal served mostly international dishes also Manimal was at a quite allot distance from freddy's house.
He reached the place in 25 minutes and when entered inside already spotted freddy but what shocked him was another person who was sitting in front of freddy looking shabby in appearance.
Daya moved forward in more confusion and called as... "freddy…"
Freddy looked up and after finding Daya stood up as the other person followed him, freddy said while signaling towards a seat to daya… "bethein sir…"
Daya looked confusingly towards freddy and said… " freddy yeh aadmi…"
Freddy said smoothly… "sir…bethein toh…"
Daya sat down and freddy ordered some sandwiches for all and then said to daya while introducing other person…
"sir yeh LAKSHYA hai…(stressing) mera friend…"
Daya nodded confusingly while after sandwiches were served freddy said while signaling the two to take bites…
" sir yeh humare common friend SIMON ko bhi janta hai…"
Daya turned towards freddy confused and after seeing those glittering eyes trying to remember the name and when it striked he couldn't help himself to utter in shock…
" 2 saal baad…"
Freddy nodded softly with… " jee sir 2 saal baad milla hai…tabhi toh maine aapko yahan bulaya…"
Daya looked towards freddy who nodded and daya cautiously carried the conversation forward with asking few questions in pleasure as…
" arre hey kahan woh…itne arse baad milenge usse…batao bhai…"
The man sitting in their front was no less as he so casually answered… " arrey bhai shanti rakho yaar…mujhse toh millo pehle aap log…(daya really praised the man in his heart seeing him in classy shade) waise bhi maine bas sunna hai…dekha nahi hai…"
Daya looked towards freddy who sighed but daya continued with his questions to atleast get some information when man said suddenly…
" acha chalo mujhe zara nikal na hoga…main tum logon ko message kar dunga acha…chalta hoon…"
The man left in hurry while both stood up to depart him.
Here after he had left freddy looked towards daya who sat silently over same place again so he too sat while telling daya in soft tone… " sir 2 saalon mein yeh pehli umeed hai…usse milne ki..theek hai hume zyada kuch nahi pata hai magar sir abh kuch toh pata haina hum logon ko…"
Daya nodded silently and added in sigh… "lekin faayda kya hai freddy? Yeh baat hum log bhi jaante hain ki Abhijeet simon ke paas nahi…phir…abhijeet…"
Freddy assuringly… "sir aap chinta nahi karein…hum log abhijeet sir ko bhi dhundh hi lenge…(while calling waiter) chalte hain sir abh…(waiter came along with bill and freddy after paying it left with daya).
Seeing daya in thinking freddy silently took the wheel while asking daya to sit on passenger seat. Daya nodded silently and when both were settled, daya finally found himself drifting back in past…
