AN: Alright, next installment.
I don't own D. Gray-Man
Without further ado, here's chapter 11 of I've Had Worse
Kanda rushed forward, swinging Mugen haphazardly in an attempt to either release Allen from a Noah's grasp, or to kill said Noah. Jasdero hunched over the prone body and gritted his teeth against the pain of a blade tearing though his skin. He could feel the wound already closing, and he readied himself for another strike.
But it never came. He opened his eyes, sitting up and looking around. To his surprise, the other exorcists had restrained the angry blue-haired man and were looking at the two of them with cold, icy glares. The angry one's sword was on the ground a few feet away. Devit was already on his knees, pleading with them and speaking their side. Words tumbled out of his mouth like water.
"Please, he's hurt and drugged up to hell and back. Please, you've gotta help him. We know he was here for a long time, and he lived with you people! You're his friends! You can't just ignore him!"
Lavi's eye narrowed at his words. "And why should we trust you? You're Noah; this could all be an elaborate trick. Why are we supposed to drop everything and take your word on it?" He tightened his grip on Kanda as he felt the strong body stiffen in his hold. Kanda's head snapped to the side so that he could look at the redhead.
"What the fuck are you talking about? That's Moyashi, can't you see? There's no doubt, you idiot! He's alive!" He started twisting and turning his body around in an attempt to free himself from the other's grip, but Lenalee came to the rescue and wrapped her arms around Kanda's torso. He was no match against the combined strength of his friends, and slumped to the ground in their arms. "Why can't you see that it's him?" His voice was just a strained whisper, barely heard above the whistling wind.
"Please understand, it's not a trick! We broke him out of the facility and we brought him here! You have to believe us, it's him!"
Kanda's eyes traveled over the two of them, widening in realization. "You- the two of you are Devit and Jasdero, aren't you? You're two of the Noah that were there when he was!" Lavi looked at Kanda questioningly. He ignored the glances, forging on.
"Aren't you? You've got to be Jasdevi, you are exactly like he described. Even down to the idiotic toy guns." They looked offended at that.
"They aren't toys!" Kanda thought for a moment more.
"You aren't lying either, are you?" His voice was soft, unbelieving. Two heads shook in unison. "He's really alive, you rescued him from that awful place." As unlikely as it seemed, he knew it to be true. Allen had always spoken of the two with sadness in his voice, never once blaming them for being a part of his suffering. He had always made them out to be the kindest of the people he met there. They had even tried to make him feel better when they got a chance to see him. Making silly faces, petting his hair and holding him when he was at his weakest.
The two Noahs truly cared for the boy. An epiphany shot through his brain. "You two went against the Earl; what's going to happen to you?"
Devit smiled grimly. "Nothing. We're not going back to the Earl. That would get us killed. He's worked for years for what he was that close to accomplishing." He held his thumb and pointer with barely enough room to slip a piece of paper in. "We ruined all of that by taking Allen. Plus, we might have… set the records lab on fire." Jasdero grinned slightly.
"We never liked what they were doing in there, and Allen was the last straw. He was so little, and he was always so scared. He wouldn't ever stop screaming; it about made us sick to our stomachs. We honestly found ourselves loving the kid like a little brother." He gently stroked Allen's hair with his fingers. The boy turned his head gently into the touch.
That was it for Kanda. He felt his heart stop at the motion, the thing that he had watched Allen do so many times while he was still asleep in the mornings. Kanda would wake and brush the white locks out of his face. Allen would always smile and snuggle deeper into Kanda's arms.
The samurai leapt forward with a burst of energy, tearing out of Lavi and Lenalee's hold. He fell to his knees next to Jasdero. The Noah wordlessly shifted Allen's light weight from his lap to Kanda's. He stood and moved to his twin's side.
Kanda's arms wrapped gently around Allen's sides and hugged the boy to his chest. He hadn't been able to touch his Moyashi for a long time, and he relished in the contact. The whitette's eyes opened slightly. They rolled up to look at the person holding him so intimately, and he smiled.
"Kanda…" his eyes glazed over once more and fear flitted across his features. He began gasping for air and his hands started twitching.
"Allen! Allen, it's okay now, I'm right here! You're going to be alright, I swear!" He held on tightly as Allen took a deep breath, his entire body shaking with the effort. Lavi ran over, disregarding his own thoughts of suspicion. He forced open Allen's eyes, shining a tiny light into them. His breath caught at the sight of his pupils; the black largely overwhelmed the mercury, leaving only a tiny outline of the shimmery color.
"What the fuck drugs did they load him up with?" he directed his question at the twins, who stood of to the side with their arms around each other. Devit answered, stuttering.
"Th-they force-fed him some weird seeds from this plant thing. They called it brugmansia, I think. They sedated him first."
"Fuck. Fuck fuck fuckity fuck fuck." Lavi swore loudly as he started unwrapping the boy from the blanket. He tore a strip of cloth from his exorcist jacket and gently placed it between Allen's open jaws. He placed his fingers gently against the junction between jaw and throat.
Allen's blood pounded faster than the Bookman trainee could count. His swears increased in volume and urgency. He turned back to the Noahs. "You're one hundred percent sure they said brugmansia?" They nodded. "When did they give it to him?"
"Fifty-ish minutes ago."
"Fuck." Lavi stood and started running towards the Asian Branch. "Kanda, bring him to the infirmary now! You two, come! Lenalee, find Komui and tell him to find all of the cardiac correction technology we have! If he's there, tell Bak to come too!"
Lenalee, who had been running beside him the whole way, nodded and took off, using her Dark Boots to accelerate. Kanda scooped Allen's convulsing body from the ground and sprinted to the hospital wing. Lavi followed close behind, stopping at the medical cupboard. He snatched a long tube and another small machine before rushing over to the bed on which Allen lay. He grabbed a sanitized syringe and tore the plastic open, inserting the needle into a small bottle. He pulled the plunger out two inches and removed it from the bottle.
He shoved the cold metal into Allen's arm and pushed the plunger down. he spent the next few minutes agonizing over the tubes he had connected to the machine and shooting glances at the boy. Jasdevi stood in the corner, feeling useless.
The second that the drugs took hold of the boy, Lavi inserted a tube down the boy's throat. He flipped a switch on the machine, and watched as nasty stomach sludge made its way up the tube. When it was full, the machine automatically shut off and Lavi pulled it out of Allen's throat. He handed Kanda a hygienic bag and poured what was in the tube into the bag. Lavi sealed the bag and set it under a chair.
"What did you do to him?" Kanda hissed. Lavi's usually bright eye was dull and tired as it bored into Kanda's.
"Relax. It's not like I would do anything to hurt him. I pumped his stomach." Kanda gave him a confused glare. "I took the poisonous shit out of his stomach. It can't hurt him any more than it did up until now. Problem is, they gave him the worst part of the plant. We just have to hope they didn't give him a fatal dose, or that there wasn't all that much poison in that particular plant." He sighed and rubbed his hand down his face. "Brugmansia. An all-around poison plant that causes hallucinations and may be fatal if ingested in high doses."
Komui burst into the room, arms laden with heavy machines and wires sticking out everywhere. Bak followed close behind, with a similar burden. Lenalee followed the procession with two large machines, hauled by ropes she held in her hands.
"Thank God you got here so fast. Quick, hook him up to the monitors and the cardioversion machine. He's got a serious case of ventricular tachycardia, and it's borderline fibrillation. I'm not sure how it's going to work with his DVS, but it's sure as hell better than nothing."
Komui nodded, not questioning why the hell they had two Noahs in the room, nor how Allen was alive and here. He quickly snapped the monitor to the whitette's finger, and an incessant beeping filled the air. Before one beep had even finished, the next was already ringing out. It almost sounded like one long ring, and the only thing that reassured them all that the boy was still alive was the erratic movement of the line on the monitor. The green glow resembled a mountain range drawn by a three-year-old.
"Holy shit!" Bak exclaimed. He hurriedly tore open the teen's shirt and pressed two cold, saline gel-covered metal plates the size of a man's hand against his bare, scarred chest. One rested just to the left of his right nipple. The other was below the left side of his ribcage, overtop his stomach. Komui held a small trigger in his shaking hand, ready to press it. Lavi gently eased the man's hand open and took it into his own steady one. He took a small breath and pushed the button at a precise moment.
Allen's body tensed involuntarily with the electricity flowing through his body, then relaxed."
All eyes went to the monitor, praying for a change.
Nothing. The lines still bounced haphazardly up and down on the screen. Lavi swore and upped the joules by fifty. He pressed the button again.
Fast, strained breathing slowed. The beeps of the monitor slowed, the numbers regulating. The room let out a sigh of relief.
The beeps grew farther apart. Numbers kept falling, all the way to dangerous levels. Nobody blinked as they stared in disbelief at the zeroes. Lavi jumped into action once more, yanking the plates off of Allen's skin. He pressed his ear firmly above the boy's heart. "This can't be happening again!" His fist raised a few inches before plummeting back down on top of Allen's chest, in the dead center of the child's sternum. Lavi paused a moment to look at the monitor and to lower his ear to Allen's mouth, then chest once more. He could hear the overworked heart struggling to beat, but only a faint, random thrum sounded.
He shouted to the other two.
"Grab the goddam defibrillator! Bak, get a breathing tube! Second smallest size!" He snatched Kanda by the elbow and positioned him next to Allen's body. "Compressions. You know what to do. Don't worry about breaths, just go fast! I'm not holding your hand this time!"
Kanda obeyed, fisting his hands like before and crushing down on his lover's chest with no restraint. Lavi moved to one of the large machines that Lenalee had brought in, fiddling with buttons and switches. Bak ran back to Lavi, holding a long, skinny tube. He attached one end to the machine and moved with the other end towards Allen's head.
"Kanda, pause." He obeyed. Bak eased open the boy's mouth and placed the tube inside. He pushed it down, to the back of his throat and beyond. "Go."
The samurai immediately resumed compressions. Komui wheeled the defibrillator to Lavi. "Charged at 200 joules." Lavi spared a glance at Allen.
"Good." He snatched the paddles from their holsters and rubbed them together, listening as they whined with electricity. "Kanda, hands off!" He complied, stepping away with hands in the air. Lavi pressed the paddles to Allen's chest, one above the right side of his chest, right above the nipple, the other firmly against Allen's ribs on the left side, just under the pectoral muscle.
"Clear!" He pressed the paddles down with most of his weight. Electricity raced through Allen's body, stiffening his muscles. Lavi removed the metal from the child's chest and pressed a finger to his jugular. "Kanda, go again!" He pumped the electricity up to 300 joules. He placed the paddles on the same spots.
"Fuck I hope this works. Clear!" Another jolt of energy. Another moment of breathless, heart-pounding expectation. Another shock. And another. Now 360 joules. Shock. 380. Shock. 400. Shock. The smell of burned flesh permeated the air.
Komui had to forcefully wrest the uncharged paddles from Lavi's hands. "Lavi, you've got to stop! That much energy wouldn't do anything to help him anyway!"
Lavi swung his head up, revealing a drawn face with tears streaking down. "I can't let him die. Not again. Not like this." He tossed off Komui's slack grip and moved back to Allen. "Kanda, keep going." The samurai did. Lavi grabbed a scalpel and a pair of scissors. He snatched a pair of forceps from the top shelf of the cabinet and started searching.
"Lavi, it's pointless." Komui hated to be the bad guy. "That's not going to work, and you know that I know exactly what you're doing. It's been nearly four minutes since he went into cardiac arrest. You have to let him go."
"Then we still have a minute, right? I'm not giving up on him. Where the hell do you keep the rib separator?" Bak wordlessly moved to a cubby and grabbed the tool. The redhead set each of his tools on the bed beside Allen's body. He tied his hair back, pulling on gloves. He snatched a towel from beside the sink and poured iodine over it.
With a quick rub across Allen's left side, he took up the scalpel. "Yuu, stop now. Look away. Make sure Lenalee doesn't look, either. Take her outside." Kanda stopped compressions and took a few steps to the side, but he didn't leave. Lavi saw a flash of wetness on the samurai's face, and sighed. "Fine, but don't look. Neither of you." Kanda nodded and strode to Lenalee's side. He roughly turned her around, wrapping an arm around her shoulders. She was speaking softly to herself as tears rolled down her face.
"He's gonna be okay. Lavi knows what he's doing. Allen's strong. He's not gonna die. We just got him back. He's not gonna die. Lavi's gonna save him."
Kanda felt his tears streaming down his face as he nodded. "He's going to be just fine, Lenalee. I won't let him die like this."
Lavi pushed the scalpel firmly against the side of Allen's chest, between two ribs. The blade made a sick tearing noise as it pierced the skin and Lavi pushed it all the way down to the table. Blood spurted out of the incision, staining the white sheets underneath his body.
The redhead pulled the scalpel out and moved it back to the top of the cut. He pushed again, severing the muscles. He shoved his gloved fingers through the opening and pushed gently on the lung, making it collapse. He slid the scalpel past his fingers and pierced the sac around Allen's heart. He pulled the scalpel out, laying it to the side. He grabbed instead the scissors. He pushed the blunt end into the sac and tore across the heart laterally.
Lavi pushed the sac around the heart and to the back of the chest cavity. He wrapped his hands around the boy's still-quivering heart. He started squeezing it rapidly and firmly. "Komui, start monitoring carotid and aortic blood pressure. Bak, hook up the internal defibrillator and charge to twenty joules."
Bak moved immediately to set up the device, but Komui didn't. "Lavi, it's no use, he's d-"
"Don't even fucking say it!" Lavi shouted loudly. He can't die here. "I've researched this stuff my whole life! A sixty-five year old man went into cardiac arrest and was kept alive for five hours with internal cardiac massage." Komui dropped his head into his hands.
"He didn't live, did he." It was a statement.
"No, but there was another, a thirty-two year old male was kept alive by cardiac massage and intubation 100% oxygen for two hours and made a full recovery. Just think. Thirty-two, and Allen's barely over 15. He's less than half that age."
"Youth isn't always a good thing in these situations." Lavi shook his head and refused to respond. Komui took a deep breath and moved to Allen's head. He pushed his fingers into the front of his neck, on the side of his throat. His other hand wandered down to the open cavity and lifted a long, gently throbbing tube. "Slight pulse detectable in aorta, no change in carotid. We should cross-clamp the aorta to redistribute."
Lavi nodded. Komui snatched the clamp from where it lay and pushed it into the hole. "Clamp down by the diaphragm. It reduces ischemic damage to the limbs." Komui complied and attached the metal to the lowest accessible part of the long tube. He moved back to Allen's head and once more felt for a carotid pulse.
"Still no pulse. His brain isn't getting any oxygen, Lavi. His temperature is going down rapidly." Just as the Supervisor finished, Allen's heart gave a sudden throb in Lavi's hand.
Lavi smiled and continued pumping the fragile thing in his hands. Two minutes later, he removed his hands from the chest cavity for a short moment and watched with apprehension as Allen's heart continued pumping without his help. It was weak, but there. Komui shook his head in disbelief.
"Komui, twenty-five milligrams of adrenaline." The man quickly obtained the drug and handed the partly-filled syringe to Lavi. He pushed the needle directly into the right ventricle of Allen's beating heart and depressed the plunger.
They all watched with joy as his heartbeat continued to grow stronger.
Thirty seconds after retracting the needle from his heart, the beating deteriorated once more. It started fluttering rapidly, not at all a synchronized pattern. The bottom of the heart seemed to be halfway pumping, and the top wasn't moving at all.
"Bak! Defib time! Ventricular fibrillation, hit him with twenty!" Lavi's voice was calm, calmer than it had been since Allen arrived back at the Order in the arms of a Noah. The man jumped forward with a pair of pincer-like things with wires hanging down to a machine similar to the one they had used earlier. He pressed the electrodes to either side of the pulsating heart and squeezed the tongs gently.
"Set!" Bak squished them tighter, halting movement for a short moment. "Clear!" He pressed the discharge buttons, releasing the small amount of energy directly into Allen's struggling heart. He pulled the electrodes away to see if anything had changed.
"He's gone into full asystole! Lavi, what do we do?" The redhead looked sharply at Komui.
"You need to take over cardiac massage. My hands are tiring and won't be as effective. You just wrap your hands around his heart and squeeze. Keep your palms touching it at all times. Don't stop until there's a real pulse." Komui nodded and put his gloved hands inside the incision. "His heart might jump every once in a while, but don't stop unless it's a real, continuous pulse."
Komui nodded again and swallowed. He gently started to press down with his thumbs into the atriums, scared that he would pierce the soft tissue.
"Komui, you're giving him a heartbeat, not actually massaging the damn thing! Squish it in with your palms and don't worry about hurting him! One hundred beats a minute, go!"
Kanda's curiosity peaked at these words. He had dutifully kept his eyes trained on the wall since he went to stand by Lenalee. He was scared, and wondering just what in fuck's name were they doing to his Moyashi!?
He turned. His eyes immediately went to Komui's back, and he was shocked at all of the blood that was pooling on the bedside. Kanda took two steps to the side so that he could see around Komui's torso.
He nearly puked at the sight. Allen's bloody, torn-open side held apart by metal pieces was enough to drop him to his knees. Seeing Allen's heart being held in Komui's hands and pumped like a stress ball made his entire body freeze. He couldn't make his lungs work, or his eyes move from the horrific sight.
Lavi stepped into his line of vision, cutting off his view of the terrible things. He sighed and knelt in front of him. "I warned you not to look. You should leave now." He reached out and grabbed Kanda by the arms, hefting him up and directing him towards the door. He supported most of Kanda's weight as they staggered outside.
When they reached the hallway, Lavi steered Kanda towards a chair and set him down gently in it. As he pulled away, the samurai noticed that Lavi was still wearing the gloves that were coated in Allen's blood.
He couldn't take it. He leaped up from the chair and took off down the hallway at lightning speed, hand clamped down over his mouth and nose.
"Kanda!" Lavi began to give chase, but soon realized that he would be needed in the operating room sooner rather than later. He moved quickly back inside and called Lenalee over to him. He avoided touching her at all costs with his hands, but kissed the top of her head lightly. He tilted his head towards the door, an obvious instruction to leave. She nodded.
Just as she was about to leave, she turned back and glared at him. "If you let him die, I'm going to punish you for the rest of eternity."
Then she turned and disappeared from sight. Lavi kept going, farther into the operating room. He came to the sight of Bak pressing the electrodes to the ventricles once more. "Clear!" The sound of a shock ripped through the room. Lavi winced at the tears that were building up in Komui's eyes.
Jasdevi was huddled up in the corner, Jasdero's head buried in Devit's shoulder and Devit's eyes scrunched together as tightly as they could go. Lavi could see the blonde's shoulders shaking with sobs. Devit's were as well, but he was trying to hide it. Tears were slipping down his grey cheeks rapidly. His arms were wrapped tightly around his twin's shoulders.
"Anything?" Bak looked up in surprise and smiled wearily.
"Normal sinus rhythm. All on his own this time; no adrenaline. Blood pressure's rising. He's warming up, too." Lavi smiled widely and leaned back heavily onto the counter.
"He's such a stubborn kid. Has he started breathing yet?" A small gasp came from the still body. Bak smiled again, tears brimming in his eyes.
"Just now." Lavi pushed himself up and towards the boy's head. He glanced into the hole of Allen's chest and watched for a spasm in his diaphragm. Below his heart and his lungs, a muscle twitched spasmodically. The redhead chuckled and wrapped a hand around the tube protruding from his mouth. He gently pulled it up and out of his body.
As soon as it was out, Allen began hacking and coughing violently. Lavi grabbed an oxygen mask and placed it over his mouth and nose. Allen slowly calmed and began to breathe normally. Lavi pulled his gloves off and fell to the ground on his rear.
Komui smiled widely and clapped the teen on the shoulder. "He's going to be okay now, Lavi. You did it." After a long moment, he realized that Lavi's shoulders were shaking gently. "Lavi, what's wrong? You were right the entire time, he's going to live."
Lavi smiled up at Komui, showing the tears that were falling down his face in a waterfall. "Nothing's wrong. I'm just happy he's going to live." A chuckle escaped Komui's lips and he nodded.
Two hours later, with Allen's side stitched and wrapped, Kanda was finally allowed back inside the infirmary. He entered the room tentatively, scared that he would see a graphic sight like before.
As soon as he laid eyes on the covered body of his lover, he rushed to his side. His hands hovered a few inches above the prone form, afraid that he would hurt him. Allen's skin was pale beyond belief, almost translucent. A clear plastic mask covered his face, providing oxygen to the boy who very much needed it. Each breath was audible, almost strained. His bloodless lips were slightly open, and sweat dotted his upper lip and forehead. Allen's hair was sticky and matted with sweat. There was a needle in his arm, connected to a bag of blood via a long tube. Said bag was only about half-full anymore.
Kanda's hands finally decided to gently brush the white locks off of Allen's forehead and to cradle his face. A thumb brushed lightly across his cheekbone.
Allen's head turned ever-so-slightly into the touch. A brilliant, real smile broke out across Kanda's face. He leaned down and kissed the boy's forehead. There were no chairs in the room, so Kanda settled for kneeling beside the bed and holding Allen's hand carefully between his own. He rested his head on the thin mattress and closed his eyes. He knew Allen wouldn't wake for several more hours at the very least. He drifted off to sleep, lulled by the soft, monotonous beeping and Allen's breathing.
Kanda was awake and rubbing his thumb over Allen's knuckles, when a sudden change in the heart monitor caught his attention. The beeps were increasing in volume, but the lines looked just the same. His loud, pained breaths caught on a gasp and Kanda looked down in apprehension. Allen's eyes were fluttering underneath the lids.
Mercury eyes slowly opened, blurry and unfocused. Allen looked up at the ceiling for a moment before his gaze drifted to the side, falling on the tired samurai's face. Kanda stood on his wobbly legs and clutched Allen's hand to his chest. The boy tightened his grip, squeezing Kanda's weakly. His body was aching all over and there was a burning sensation in his chest.
He smiled shakily. The movement brought the mask to his attention. He glared at the thing and tried to remove it with his right, unoccupied hand.
His hand didn't move.
Kanda caught sight of Allen's panicking eyes and pulled the plastic away from his face. The whitette took a deep breath as soon as the thing was off him.
The warmer air assaulted his lungs, making him cough violently for a few seconds. Kanda lifted his torso, helping him to sit up. The older teen started rubbing circles in the boy's back, hoping that it would help. Eventually, Allen settled and leaned his weight into Kanda. Kanda slid onto the bed, one leg curled up underneath him and the other hanging off the side.
He buried his face in Allen's white hair. "Oh god, I'm so glad you're okay." Kanda wrapped his arms around the boy's chest, hugging him tightly. "We all thought you were dead! You were gone for so long, and your heart had stopped before that!" Tears began to run down his face.
Allen turned his head to the side sluggishly. His eyes were dim and tired. "Kad?" His voice was quiet. Kanda looked at him questioningly. "Can' muv muh lesh. O' my awm." (Translation: Can't move my legs. Or my arm.)
Kanda's eyes widened and he stood. "I'll go get Komui." He lowered Allen back to the bed and kissed his forehead. "It's gonna be fine, I promise." He turned and took off down the hallways. He spotted a golem hovering outside of an open doorway and grabbed it on the run.
He shouted into the transceiver. "Komui! Allen's awake! You need to come down to the infirmary right now! Something's wrong with his legs and his human arm. And he's talking all weirdly." Komui answered sleepily, like he'd just woken up.
"What do you mean, something's wrong with them?" Kanda growled.
"I mean there's something wrong with them. He can't get them to move." Kanda could hear Komui rustling papers and shoving them off of his desk over the golem.
"Yes, I'm coming now. I'll be there in two minutes." A beep signaled that Komui had hung up. Kanda rushed back towards Allen's room, praying that nothing was actually wrong. He stopped just short of the door and fluffed himself up, trying not to frighten Allen any more than he already was.
As he walked through the door, Kanda saw an already-asleep Allen. 'What the hell? He just woke up and he's already back out? I guess he does have a lot of healing to do.' He anxiously stood by Allen's bed and held the deformed hand in his own.
Komui ran in just a minute later, seven seconds before the two minutes he had promised. He walked quickly over to them and raised an eyebrow at the samurai.
Kanda sat down next to Allen's bed once more and laid his head on the soft blankets. He weaved his fingers into Allen's and smiled a little bit. 'He's definitely going to be alright now.
Komui shook his head as the samurai relaxed next to his lover. They were honestly very cute. The supervisor turned his attention to Allen's non-Innocence arm.
AN: Alright, so not a serious cliffie, but whatevs. I kind of have a theme going on here; I've taken a strong interest in cardio-thoracic medicine, and I know that makes me sound like a freaking psycho. But it's taken some serious tolls on my writing, and I apologize. All of this shit is legit by Wikipedia standards, 'cause I took most of this from there. Brugmansia is an actual toxic plant and all that crap. Cardioversion is an actual medical therapy for cardiac arrhythmias. So, just in case you guys didn't know what all of that stuff was, I've got some vocab down here.
Brugmansia- also called 'Angel's Trumpet', basically the only reason I put in in here. It is toxic in large doses when ingested, but used recreationally in some places. It also causes hallucinations and temporary dementia.
Ventricular tachycardia- when the heart beats at a resting rate above 100 bpm, not normally fatal
Ventricular fibrillation- when the bottom half of the heart fails to beat properly, resulting in inefficient blood distribution. If left unchecked, often results in cardiac arrest and failure, ultimately death.
Ischemic- I'm really not sure, I think it's a lack of oxygen in the blood for an extended period of time. I'm pretty sure it results in lessened muscular control.
If there are any more medical questions, either look it up on Wikipedia or PM me.
