Lilly: Well, this was definitely a fun chapter! Especially near the end...
Cody: *chuckling* Yeah, no kidding! Not really a lot to say this time, so just enjoy everyone! New chapter on LWL: P2 will be up soon as well!
It was getting late, around 8PM or so in the pack and a lot of wolves were starting to head to their dens for the night. Most of them, anyway….There was still some out and about, doing this and that, but it was mostly Alphas since they're usually the last ones to turn in for the night. Among them were Kate, Eve, Humphrey and Lilly, all of them at the main pack den belonging to Eve and Winston.
Kate and Humphrey had a rather scary day, being attacked by wild coyotes and they'd probably have won if it weren't for Cody and his rifle! Kate was still in a sort of stunned and scared kind of mind while Humphrey was mostly just tired. Kate was too, but didn't think she'd sleep well because of what happened.
She wanted to go back to Humphrey's den with him for the night, but Eve thought it'd be best for her to stay home tonight. Despite her protests she was fine, Humphrey finally convinced her Eve was right and he said he'd stay as well, if it were alright with Eve and Winston. They said it was more than alright and they love for him to be there, even though the last time he stayed the night, he was more of a pup and WASN'T in love with their daughter.
"As long as you two don't start doing any funny business, you're more than welcome to stay, Humphrey. And Kate, you know what I mean…." Eve said in a serious tone, but smiled at her daughter. Kate was blushing a little and said "I know, Mom, don't worry. Does kissing and cuddling count as "funny business"?"
"If it doesn't go past that, then no. And don't think you can do anything in secret….I'm watching…." Eve said, walking outside to where Lilly was sitting. Kate smiled and rolled her eyes, saying "Okay, Mom. Come on, Humphrey….Let's get some sleep…." He smiled too and followed her toward the back of the den, the both of them laying down and cuddling up, immediately whispering and giggling amongst themselves.
"So, you heard all the same thing I told them, right?" Eve asked her snow white daughter sitting outside staring off at the sunset about to disappear behind the mountains. Lilly smiled and said "I got it, Mom. You know I don't do anything bad…." Eve giggled a bit and said "I know, but it's usually the youngest ones that act first…."
Lilly giggled as well and rolled her eyes, saying "Mom, I'm only, what, two minutes younger than Kate? I don't think there's really much of a difference between how old we are." Eve smiled and nuzzled her daughter, saying "True, but you'll always be my baby girl…." Lilly smiled again and let out a quiet purr, saying "I know, Mom…."
Right about then, they started to hear the sound of Cody's ATV coming, getting Lilly excited. "He's almost here! Do I um….Do I look okay?" Lilly frantically asked, brushing her fur down in spots with her paw. Eve giggled and said "Honey, you look fantastic….If he's really all that concerned with how you look, he's obviously not the right kinda guy for you."
Lilly smiled a bit and said "I know, I just don't wanna look like a mess…." Eve nuzzled her again right as they saw his ATV come through the trees, slowing to a stop at the bottom of the slope coming up to the den. He shut it off and looked up at them, Lilly's tail rapidly wagging behind her and a big smile on her face.
"Good evening, beautiful!" He called up, making her giggle. "Hi, you! Nice entrance!" She giggled, making him chuckle in return. "Well, you know….Gotta be flashy. Evening, Eve!" She smiled at him as well and said "Same to you. I take it you'll be leaving now, honey?" Lilly smiled at her and said "Unless there's anything else you need."
"Nope, not that I can think of. Have a good night, sweetie!" Eve said, hugging her. Lilly returned it and said "Night, Mom! See you in the morning sometime!" Eve smiled as Lilly quickly walked down the slope to Cody, who knelt down and deeply kissed her as she got to him. Eve could hear her purr and could see her practically melt, making her smile more.
They soon broke apart and she climbed up onto the ATV, followed by him sitting on it again and she put her forelegs around him. Right before he started it, they heard "Oh, and Cody?" They looked up at Eve and he asked "Yes, ma'am?" She smiled again and said "Break your promise, I break your neck…."
He smiled a bit as well and nodded, saying "Noted, and not gonna happen. Have a good night, Eve!" She nodded to him and retreated to the den, giggling a bit to herself as she walked in. "Ready to go?" Cody asked Lilly, who smiled and nodded. He nodded as well and started the ATV, quickly driving off back toward his cabin, which only took about ten or fifteen minutes.
When they got there, Lilly noticed there was a small fire going in a big dish like thing, giving the area a calming and romantic feeling. He parked the ATV where he usually does, shutting it off and Lilly let go of him, asking "So, what's going on here?"
"Oh, not much….Figured we'd have a nice dinner cooked over an open fire." He said as she hopped down and he got off as well before saying "Then maybe later, we could have our own little Moonlight Howl, if that sounds good to you." She smiled at him and said "That sounds like a perfect night to me! What about…."after" our howl?"
The way she asked that made it sound like she had something rather "adult rated" in mind, which made him chuckle a little as he said "Well, I'm not sure what you're asking, but I made a promise to your mother nothing explicit would be going on tonight." She giggled a bit and said "I know, but I wasn't asking about "that"….Are we gonna cuddle or anything afterwards, or just go to bed?"
He smiled and said "Well, that's all up to what you're comfortable doing. If you don't think you're ready for that quite yet, it's perfectly okay, trust me!" She giggled again and said "Then I guess we'll have to give it a try and see how we feel!" He nodded and said "Sounds good to me! But, for now, how about some dinner?"
She quickly nodded and said "Good idea, I didn't eat tonight. I had some kind of feeling you were making something. What is it, actually?" He smiled again and said "Just gimme a minute and I'll go get it." She nodded again and he went inside to get what he was going to cook, leaving her by the warm fire. She got closer to it and laid down, partly on her side and facing it, feeling really good on the inside.
He came back out a couple minutes later, a good size frying pan in one hand and a package of meat in the other. She smiled at him as he sat down next to her, leaning over and sniffing the sealed bag of meat in his hand. "Smells good already….What is it?" She asked, her mouth starting to water.
"Elk steaks. Shot it myself last weekend a few miles from here." He said, chuckling as he opened it, taking two of the steaks out and laying them out in the frying pan he put over the fire on a metal grate. It didn't take long until they started sizzling, the smell of the meat cooking making Lilly's mouth water even more.
"Oh, wow….That smells amazing! How long until they're done!?" She asked, licking her lips. He chuckled again and stroked her back, making her purr a bit as he said "About twenty minutes. Think you can hang on that long?" She giggled and said "I think so, but it's up to my tummy….It's hungry!" He chuckled more and leaned over, kissing her nose and making her giggle more.
Right then, a cold breeze blew by, making her shiver a little. "Brrr….That was cold!" She said, shaking her fur a little. He smiled and held his arm out toward her, saying "Well, come here then….Don't want you getting too cold." She smiled too and got up, moving over to him and he put his arms around her, his body heat immediately radiating onto her.
"Mmm….Much better!" She purred, resting her head against his shoulder and closing her eyes. He kissed her cheek and said "Just making sure you're comfortable…." She smiled again and nodded, saying "That's what makes you so sweet…." He chuckled and rested his head against hers as he turned the steaks over, hearing her stomach growl again as he did. "Not too much longer, just calm down…."
Back at the pack area, pretty much everyone was asleep, the sounds of snoring echoing out of dens. Eve and Winston had retreated to their den and went to sleep as well after Cody and Lilly left, but two particular lovers were still awake in the den, Kate and Humphrey. Despite being a little tired, she really didn't wanna go to sleep yet.
"Humphrey, let's take a little walk, okay? Looks like a nice enough night…." She said, sitting up as did he. "Sure, that sounds pretty good, actually! Be nice to burn off some energy." He said, smiling at her. She giggled and nodded, saying "Believe me, it does a great job of that…." They got up and walked out of the den, going down the slope and off toward where the river was.
Humphrey noticed she seemed anxious about something, a nervous look on her face and her tail was twitching a little. "Kate, are you okay?" He asked, nosing her cheek. She smiled and nodded, saying "I'm fine, just caught in my thoughts….Mostly how Lilly's night must be going right now." He smiled too and said "I'm sure she's having a good time. Cody told me he was planning a simple night with her; Just some dinner and staying up a while."
"He didn't happen to mention what he meant by "staying up a while"?" She asked, giggling. He chuckled and shook his head, saying "Not that I caught. Besides, I know that IF they even think about doing anything like that, he'd wanna make sure she's ready for it as well." Kate nodded and said "And I know Lilly would probably be worried she isn't ready."
"Which would keep them from getting too intimate, of course. Are you worried he might try and pressure her into it?" He curiously asked, but she smiled again and said "No, I'm not, I know he won't. Not to mention Lilly wouldn't let it happen. She might be an Omega, but she can hold her own."
He nodded and said "Good point. So, I take it we're headed to the river then?" She giggled and said "Can't get anything past you….Then again, you ask right as we get here…." He chuckled as they walked over to the water, the both of them getting a nice, cool drink. She didn't seem to be as thirsty and sat down after a few moments, asking "Humphrey, can I ask you something?"
He looked up at her and said "You can ask me anything, Kate. What's on your mind?" She nervously smiled and said "Well….We just talked about weather or not Lilly would think she's ready for that….What about us?" He nearly choked on the water in his mouth, but managed to swallow it before asking "Us, as in….M-Ma…."
Kate blushed a little and nodded, saying "Yes, mating. I know it's probably not a good idea until after Alpha School, but….I'm….I'm ready for it." He had noticed an odd scent radiating off her most of the evening, but didn't know what it was until now. "Are you in….your time already?" He nervously asked, a bit worried since he of course knew what heat does to a girl's mind.
To his relief, she shook her head and said "I'm not, but I've been thinking about it all day….I know you can smell something, and it's because I really am ready. Are you, Humphrey?" He stammered for a moment, trying to get his thoughts right before he finally said "I….I think so. Is there a chance you could get pregnant from it?"
She shook her head again and smiled, saying "No, not unless it's that time for me, which it isn't. It would be a complete secret between us and we can't tell anyone else. We'll wash up afterwards so nobody smells anything." He smiled and walked up, deeply kissing her and she softly moaned, her tail wagging across the dirt behind her.
They broke apart a few moments later and Humphrey asked "Wanna go back to my den? More secluded." She giggled and nodded, the both of them racing off together in excitement and lust. It was only a minute or two there and they skidded to a stop inside, colliding and falling to the ground together as they engaged in a passionate kiss.
Kate put her paws against Humphrey's chest, sensing he was nervous or scared and pulled back a little, asking "Everything okay, Humphrey?" He smiled and nodded a little, saying "Just nervous about your parents finding out…." She giggled and licked his cheek, saying "They won't, trust me. If Mom wants to know where were, we went out for a walk and decided to come here and sleep." He nodded again and they locked lips, slowly losing themselves in the passion and excitement.
Back on the other side of the valley, Cody and Lilly were just finishing their dinner, eating the last bit of their steaks and some mashed potatoes he also fixed. It was, in two words, purely amazing to Lilly, and even that doesn't say enough about it! She suppressed a burp as she said "That was REALLY good! Thank you!"
He smiled and nodded, saying "Anytime, babe! I agree, it was pretty good! Nice dinner on an even better night….With a beautiful girl…." She blushed and giggled a bit, saying "Aww, Cody….You're almost too sweet…." He chuckled and said "I can't be too sweet for you since you deserve so much more…." She leaned over and kissed his cheek, saying "I don't deserve anymore than you're willing to show me. I'm not the "attention hog" kind of girl."
He nodded and said "I know you're not, but still…." She smiled and leaned against him, resting her head against the side of his chest and letting out happy sigh. He put his arm around her and started slowly rubbing her side, saying "Are you comfortable there?" She nodded and said "Mostly. Sorta awkward position, though…."
He chuckled and laid back on the ground, surprising her and making her wonder what he was doing. He put one arm under his head and the other out toward her, saying "Come here, this'll work better…." She giggled a little and moved over to him, asking "Should I lay down beside you?" He smiled and said "I'd be okay with you laying on my chest. It'd be more comfortable for you."
She giggled again a little more and said "I don't know about that….Maybe later, okay?" He nodded and she laid down against his side, resting her head on his upper chest and closing her eyes. He started rubbing her side again and she let out a soft purr, saying "This is much more comfortable…."
He chuckled and said "Yeah, it is….Looks like it'll nearly be a full moon tonight, too." She opened her eyes and looked up at the moon, smiling and saying "Almost. What is it that makes the moon so beautiful?" He looked down at her and said "Scientifically speaking, it's the light reflecting off it from the sun. However, my theory is it's trying to compete with you…."
She blushed a little again, saying "You really think I can compare to the moon, of all things? We howl to it because it's the most beautiful thing we've ever seen….When there's nights we can't see it, nobody thinks it'll be a good night. I know, it sounds odd…." He shrugged and said "Not really, to be honest. I know enough to know a lot of what wolves do if based on the moon's cycles."
She smiled and said "I'm actually a little surprised you know that. Do humans have anything that depends on the moon?" He chuckled and said "Celebrations, if that counts. They're best under a full moon." She giggled and said "I suppose it does count. So, anyway, I've had something on my mind I wanna ask you all day…."
He smiled and asked "And what might that be?" She lifted her head up and looked down at her paws, saying "Well….First off, I won't deny I'm in love with you, that's the truth!" He smiled more and lifted her head a little, saying "I'm in love with you too, Lilly….Are you worried about it?" She weakly smiled and said "In a way, yes…."
He propped himself up on his elbow and asked "What's wrong? Do your parents not approve of us after all?" She shook her head and said "No, it's not that. I know Mom and Dad are okay with us being together. What I'm worried about it later on down the road….I'll be honest, I want to have pups someday, and I want to have them with you!"
He leaned over and deeply kissed her, making her purr a little and she laid her ears back, obviously enjoying it. He pulled back after a few moments and said "I would love nothing more than that….What're you worried about with it, though?"
"The part that you're not a wolf like me….I mean, is it even POSSIBLE for us to be able to do that?" She asked, a worried look on her face. He knew the answer would most likely upset her quite a bit and didn't want to tell her, but he had to since she wanted the truth, even if she didn't say so. He let out a sigh and said "As great as it would be….No, it's not possible."
Her heart sank and she looked down again, saying "I had a feeling…." He weakly smiled and put his arms around her, gently pulling her to his chest and said "It doesn't change anything, though. I still love you, no matter if we can't do certain things…." She smiled a little as well and said "I'll always love you as well….And to be honest, not having pups wouldn't be the worst thing in the world."
He nodded and said "But, it's still something you want, though. I want you to have what you want…." She smiled more and said "It's all okay, babe, I'm not worried about it that much." He smiled and kissed her cheek, making her purr a little before saying "Okay then….What do you say we go inside, hmm? It's starting to get kinda late."
She giggled and quickly nodded, getting up with him and walking over to the fire. He dumped a bucket of water he had sitting there on to it, instantly putting it out before grabbing the plates and frying pan and they headed inside.
He closed the front door and took the plates and pan into the small kitchen, dropping them into the sink as she went into the living room. He looked over to see her sniffing the air a little before saying "Mom was here, huh?" He smiled and said "Yeah, for a little bit. Of course, that was hours ago…." She giggled and said "Scents hang in the air for longer than you'd think….So, any idea what to do for a little bit?"
He came into the living room and swiftly scooped her up, causing her to let out a yelp in surprise. "What're you doing!?" She nearly yelled, but was giggling. He chuckled and kissed her forehead, carrying her over to the couch and laying down on it, letting her rest on his chest. "Oh, I see what you're doing….Feelin' all lovey all the sudden?" She giggled, shifting around a little so she was laying on her stomach.
He shrugged and said "Just thought we could try this, so if it feels comfortable….I for one like it!" She giggled more and licked his cheek, quietly saying "I like it, too….Are we gonna sleep here tonight?" He smiled and said "I was thinking the bed would be better. Which actually reminds me of something….Might make you a little uncomfortable, though. I normally….sleep naked…."
She blushed slightly, but smiled and said "Okay, and? Technically, I'm always naked…." He nervously smiled and said "So, it wouldn't bother you?" She shook her head and kissed him, purring a little as she said "Not a bit…." He returned the kiss with even more passion, making her purr more and she completely relaxed against him, starting to feel sleepy.
He noticed as well when she pulled back from the kiss and let out a long yawn, a little bit of a groan at the end as she laid her head down on his chest and closed her eyes. He looked over at the clock and it was nearly 11PM already. "About ready to go to bed?" He asked, smiling as he ran his hand down her back, feeling her arch up a little against him.
"Yeah, I'm getting pretty tired…." She said, starting to get up off him when he put his arms around her, holding her as he got up and she laid back in his arms, giggling a bit as she said "I've said it before and I'll say it again….You're strong!" He smiled and kissed her forehead, saying "I try and keep in shape, but thank you!"
She giggled more and he carried her down into the bedroom, gently laying her on the bed on her back. She stayed like that and watched him go over and close the door before turning around to face her, saying "Remember, I sleep naked….Last chance to protest!" She simply smiled at him and he shrugged, saying "Alright then…."
He proceeded to take of his clothes, quickly undressing in front of her. She was blushing the entire time as she saw his body, rather impressed at what she saw, too! "Wow…." She said under her breath, but he'd heard her. He chuckled a little and tossed his shirt at her, landing right on her head. She giggled a bit and pushed it off just in time to watch him finish undressing, her eyes wide as she saw his "guy parts".
He noticed where she was looking and blushed when he realized why; His erection. "Sorry, love….Didn't realize that happened…." He shyly said, putting his hands over himself. She smiled again and said "It's alright, don't worry….I'm just rather….well, rather impressed!" He blushed more and asked "Why's that?" She shyly giggled and quietly said "Because….You're kinda big!"
Now he blushed cherry red, but didn't say anything as he walked over to the bed, laying down next to her on his side to face her and pulled the blanket up over them. She smiled again when she felt the warmth it provided and cuddled against him, feeling him poking against her lower stomach down there. He nervously smiled and said "Did you do that on purpose?"
She bit her lip and said "I might've….I've seen Humphrey in that…. "condition"….On accident, of course. Yours doesn't look like a wolf's…." He chuckled a little and said "Well, that's because we're obviously different….Humans are more-"
"Desirable…." She quietly said as she moved her paw under the blanket and lightly touched him, a sudden warmth spreading through her. He blushed again and said "A-Are you sure….you wanna be doing that?" She looked up at him and said "I'm….curious…."
Uh oh...Lilly, you better not make Cody break his promise to Eve! That is, unless you want her to kill your boyfriend...
