"Bella, there is something that you should know about...all of us," I say, rubbing her back, Bella sniffed in response but still her eyes didn't waver from mine.
This was it; everyone was looking at me expectantly, Cullen gritting his stupid teeth in anticipation.
"Everyone in this room is a vampire,"
Now on with the Chapter!
Chapter 11: Edwards' fury Demetri POV
The whole throne room was silent; nobody moved or uttered a word as all eyes were upon the small human girl, who stared blankly at me her chocolate brown eyes wide and her pink lips parted.
I was now worrying, what if all this has caused Bella to go into shock?
I was now becoming anxious, she was just staring unblinkingly at me before she ripped her eyes away from mine and scanned the room, I eyed her carefully as her eyes surveyed the Vampires around, stopping on the Cullen's who she stared longer at, her brows furrowed as she inspected them.
Cullen looked like he was about to retort something his eyes were dark with obvious hunger. What I really wanted to do was to snatch Bella away and take her away from Cullen who was still looking hungrily at her, it also didn't help that Bella's heart was now thudding three times faster and the smell of her blood had grown more tempting.
"Demetri,..." Bella utters softly her startlingly brown eyes trained on me; they were now glistening with coming tears. It made me feel horrible, I feel like I've lost her, she was looking at me in a way that was foreign ; it wasn't how she usually looked at me and that made me feel horrible, I felt like I betrayed her.
Then suddenly Bella's eyes fluttered closed and her face became blank as she fell. Startled, I caught her before she could hit the floor. She had fainted.
Shock resonated throughout the throne room. There was a rush of confused murmurs from everyone. Aro and Caius stared blankly at me as I held Bella's small, limp body in my arms, hugging her close to me. This has never happened before and right now I was panicking whilst whispering her name softly.
"Bella!" Alec exclaimed tearing away from Jane's strong grasp, knelt beside me frantically saying her name and cupping her cheek, I glared at him.
Felix also rushed over with a couple of others, all of them eyeing Bella curiously and whispering, no doubt judging her I'm guessing.
I hugged her limp form to me as Alec stroked her hair gently. Jane trudged over to stand behind Alec, her androgynous face blank of all emotion which made me even more angry with her, was she really this cold?
"This isn't healthy for her! Normal humans don't faint like that!" Edward growled being restrained by both Esme and Carlisle, who were both whispering frantically at him.
I stood up carefully, still cradling Bella to me glowering at Cullen, as he glowered back his pitch black eyes entranced with Bella. Felix stepped in front of me then, glaring at stupid Cullen who let a feral snarl escape his lips as he strained at Carlisle and Esme's clutches.
Aro's misty crimson eyes landed on both me and Bella concernedly.
Caius hesitated on the stairs looking worriedly upon the scene. It was now evident what Edward wanted and luckily Aro had seen this.
"I...Need...her," Edward growled fighting against Carlisle and Esme, who being the weak vegetarians that they are lost their grip on their tearaway son, who was now charging towards me and Bella, His Black eyes sparkling in mirth and excitement.
"Demetri, watch out!" Esme screeched at me as Felix stepped completely in front of me colliding with Cullen, causing a thunderous noise as Cullen was flung into the air by Felix and crashing into the stone wall behind the three thrones.
But that wasn't enough to stop the crazed Vampire who immediately leapt up from the rubble and bolted towards us. "Stop him!" Aro demanded over the chaos as Carlisle hurried a distressed Esme to the side. More guards were now surrounding me and Bella and trying to catch Cullen who was still determined.
A thought crossed me, Bella couldn't stay here at all, and it was way too dangerous. "Demetri! Give her to me now!" A voice said angrily.
I whipped around quickly, it was Caius his normally emotionless red eyes were now full of fear as his eyes bored into mine, flitting to Bella's unconscious form. "Demetri, please she can't stay here," Caius growled.
I agreed with him of course, but it's possible that Edward would follow them, but then I can always track Caius' movements. I woke from my reverie; I didn't want to leave Bella at all, but now wasn't the time to be thinking about the negatives and the positives.
"Take her away from here as far as possible, and take care of her," I said hurriedly quickly placing Bella in Caius' waiting arms. The master held her limp form to him looking down on her before quickly running out of the throne room doors. I sighed sadly as the door slammed behind them both.
Turning back on the scene, Edward was now flung against the stairs by Felix, but still Cullen got up and was now charging towards me. Quickly I pushed him away where Felix caught him in a headlock, I ran over and assisted him, and I took Cullen's flailing right arm whilst Felix took the left.
The room was now silent, except for Cullen's struggling snarls. "Master..." Felix said cautiously, looking up at Aro who stared blankly at Cullen, his misty red eyes scanning the now ruined throne room.
The Master slowly ghosted down the ruined steps, past a wide eyed Marcus. Aro stopped opposite Edward, his eyes cold as he fixed him his most steely glare, his face impassive.
Aro's ghostly pale hands snaked their way around the sides of Cullen's head, his eyes glaring at him with so much hate and anger, my grip tightened as Edward began to struggle no doubt knowing his fate.
"No, don't hurt him please, please!" Esme wailed being held back by her poor husband who too was looking at Edward worriedly.
Without relinquishing his hold from Edward, Aro turned his head towards the stressed couple "He wanted to kill Bella, he planned on feasting on her sweet blood and leaving her mangled body lying on the floor for all to see, he couldn't control himself." Aro said softly, anger lacing his voice.
Esme was now stumped it was the truth after all; Aro had obviously read what Edward was thinking. My anger began to increase, how can he think like that about my Bella?
The room was silent as Aro continued to assess Carlisle and Esme, who with their Golden eyes were pleading us to free their tearaway monster they call a son.
"Aro, Edward would never go for a human, he's normally got stable control," Carlisle reasoned, comforting Esme.
"Then why did he lose control?" I said suddenly, glaring at Carlisle who stood taller as he met my gaze.
Aro, turned to me, his red eyes lighting up at my question, but his mouth was still pursed in that hard line. "What an interesting question Demetri," Aro murmured ripping his eyes away from me and directing his questioning gaze on the animal drinkers: "Do you think you can explain why Dear Edward nearly gave in to his thirst today Carlisle?" Aro questioned coldly.
Everyone turned to Carlisle expectantly, Even Edward, whose eyes were pleading Carlisle. "Aro, I can honestly say that Edward hadn't Fed before we came and wasn't prepared for the presence of the girl" Carlisle said calmly but was cut off by an angry shout:
"Her name is Bella! What that animal drinker did was no accident it was intentional!" Alec roared, as he struggled against Jane, who groaned loudly.
Aro put one of his hands up in the air to silence Alec and the murmurs of agreement echoing throughout the room.
"I very much agree with you Alec," Aro says softly placing his hand back around Cullen's neck, he shivered.
Carlisle stepped forward his eyes flitting uncertainly between Edward and Aro. "Please Aro, Edward would never intentionally hurt a human like he tried to today, it was just a shock that he let his control slip," Carlisle said carefully, Holding a cowering Esme close to his side.
Aro watched them carefully and unblinkingly, before looking back down on Edward his eyes cold and free of all emotion.
"Release him, I don't want to see his face in my halls ever again, you were lucky today Carlisle," Aro announced his hands slipped away from Edward as me and Felix released our hold, not happy at all that Edward was being let off so easily.
No one dared to contradict Aro as Edward hurried over to Carlisle and Esme who enveloped him in a tight embrace. I scuffed my boots on the floor in anger looking down on the rubble.
"Now leave," Aro roared to the Trio who quickly hurried out of the door and out of the castle.
Felix flung an arm around me, probably sensing my anger at how things turned out, I really was angry, Edward didn't deserve to be free, not at all I know he'll do it again I just know he will, I've never trusted that filthy animal drinker and some day I want my revenge and oh will it be sweet...
