Yes, yes, I know it's been a while and that I've been lazy but I'm sorry and I hope you guys can find it in your hearts to forgive me :c

So in this chapter, a new character will be introduced :D Though you guys will probably dislike her xD

Anyways, I'll stop blabbing so you guys can get what you came here for.

Rin POV

Ugh, this morning is being such a drag. None of my morning class periods have been passing by quickly like they usually do. Even seeing Len in my classes hasn't helped anything along.

I make my way to my seat next to Len in my third period class, Physics. As I sit down, I notice someone new sitting not too far from us, staring at Len. Closing the case as a new girl to be charmed by Len, I focus back on him and he looks up with a tired smile.

"You look tired," I state plainly.

"Really, what gave it away?" He asks sarcastically, his eyelids drooping halfway. I smack him lightly on the shoulder and he flinches.

"Keep up with that sarcasm and there'll be more where that came from," I smirk and yank my physics book out of my bag.

"Someone's cranky," He grumbles with a smile, "What's up?"

"Oh, it's really nothing. This morning is just going really slowly and it's annoying me," I slouch in my seat and cross my arms. Out of the corner of my eye, I see that new girl checking Len out and a wave a jealousy hits me.

"Hmmm, well that's nothing new. Days like these always drag for me," He says and then winks at me jokingly, "but you're what gets me through."

"Oh, shut up," I punch him in the arm, feeling a little bit of blood flushing to me cheeks. I would say the same thing back to him, but the only difference would be that I wouldn't be joking.

Soon, a large flow of students rush into the classroom and the bell rings, with only a few stragglers running through the door before the teacher enters.

"Alright class, we have a new student," He motions for the new girl to get up in front of the class and do the average new student ritual.

"Um, hi. I'm Neru Akita," She says plainly and explains a little bit about herself, but it's all background noise to me. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Len eyeing her, up and down like he usually does. Oh, there's that pang of jealousy again. Though, I really have nothing to be jealous about; it's not like Len is my property or anything so he should be able to see whoever he wants.

Neru takes her seat again, tossing her long, blonde, side-ponytail over her shoulder and hiding her phone under the desk as the teacher starts his lecture. Ugh, I can already tell I won't like her.

…

The bell rings for lunch and I feel worse than I did this morning. All of Physics, Neru was basically undressing Len with her eyes and I could barely stop myself from lunging over the lab tables and gouging her eyes out. Jeez, I really need to calm down or something bad might happen.

"So, have you met the new girl?" Luka asks, leaning against the locker next to mine as I finish putting my books away, tensing up at the question.

"She's in my physics class, so I know of her, but we haven't formally met," I say bitterly and I hear Luka chuckle.

"You don't like her, do you?"

"…Is it that obvious?"

"Well," She pauses to examine my expression, "yes, it's pretty obvious. Your expression and tone of voice gives it all away."

"Oh," Oh dear lord, I hope it wasn't obvious that I wanted to slaughter her all of physics class.

"What'd she do to you that got you so PO'd?" She asks but then finds the obvious answer, "She was checking out Len, wasn't she?"

"Are you psychic or something?" I question.

"No, I just know you too well," She smirks, "She's nice, once you actually talk to her, you know."

"You talked to her?" I ask, finishing up grabbing and putting away books.

"Yeah, and I invited her to sit with us at lunch,"

"Luka!" I slam my locker door closed angrily.

"Rin, dear, once you get to know her you'll notice she's not a bad person," She states in a motherly tone and she grabs my wrist to yank me along, "Now come on, I'm starving!"

Soon enough, we arrive at the table and see Neru nibbling at a sandwich and looking around the cafeteria.

"Hey Neru!" Luka smiles at Neru as we sit down, and Neru smiles back, "I'd like you to meet my good friend Rin."

"It's nice to meet you," I say with a smile, well, the most real smile I can manage with the small fire burning beneath my skin.

"It's nice to meet you too," She smiles, batting her eyelashes thoughtfully and then says: "Aren't you in my physics class?"

"Yeah, I think so," I reply, trying to play it off as if I don't really remember that well, even though I still remember it as clear as day.

"Well, it's nice to formally meet you then," She replies and continues eating.

…

Okay, I'll admit it; I may have misjudged Neru before. She actually isn't that bad of a person when you actually talk to her. We actually had many pleasant conversations during the lunch period and she's in the class I have after lunch so we talked there too, even though Len's in that class and she was sort of gawking at him again.

Though, out of it all, I don't think I would mind as much if she dated Len. I mean, it would be like the situation with Luka. Also, I think the fact that Len usually dumps his girlfriends after about two weeks or so is enough to calm my nerves.

I waltz my way down the hallway to the music room and sit myself down at the piano and play one quick, soft scale and then start to play a little bit of Chopin. Mid song, Len walks in like usual and sits in his usual place next to me at the piano.

As my fingers slowly end the song, I pull my fingers away from the ebony and ivory keys.

"Have any requests?" I ask simply.

"Not really, anything that you want to play, I guess," He sighs pressing down a few keys and then looking into my eyes thoughtfully, "Say, do you remember when I told you I wanted to learn how to play piano?"

"…No?"

"Well, I do. So, uh, could you teach me?" He asks sheepishly, looking intensely at the piano. When I see a rosy tint on his cheeks, I smile fondly.

"Sure," I pause as I scoot over so he can sit where I was previously, "put your fingers on the keys like this." I grab both of his hands and put them on the C, D, E, F, and G keys for a middle C scale, "And then play the right hand like this," I say as I give a demonstration.

"Like this?" He asks, trying to imitate the movements of my fingers, but instead of ending the first half of the scale on his pinky finger, he ends it on his middle finger.

"No, no, silly," I sigh and demonstrate once more. Oh boy, what have I gotten myself into. I try helping him through it, with the odd sense of being watched…

Yeah I know it's short, but I hate leaving chapters off at weird places and this seemed to be the only normal place to end it :|

So yes, a new character has been introduced :D

Even though she seems nice now, I bet you all can guess what'll happen with her ;3

There are, again, no promises when the next chapter will be up; I have been super busy lately, I have to clean my entire house for my birthday party next Saturday, but in July it's pretty much smooth sailing. So don't forget to R&R!
