Twilight walked straight out of the evertree forest her element armor glittering in the sun.
Guards and soldiers moved out of the way to clear a path for the angry princess, twilight marched straight up to the commanders of the army.
"Excuse me, but we have an emergency" twilight said coming to a stop.
"What is it princess, and where's princess cadence?"
"She has been taken, i'm the only one left" twilight answered getting gasps from all that heard her.
"I want soldier that you can get out of canterlot and the crystal empire without leaving it defenslis" she started ordering.
The captains went grim and nodded.
"We need scouts over the evertree forest don't send them alone, also guards watching its borders, don't even let the princesses out"
The guards seemed a concerned about the last order, "wy princess?"
Twilight looked them all in the eye, "they've all been taken by dark magic so there is understanding that they may be corrupted by it"
The guards flinched at what might have happened to there princesses, "anything ese?"
"No that will do" twilight answered bowing her head before turning and marching away, flash quickly following.
Twilight stopped at a hill away from the commoton and sat staring at the ground.
Flash sat next to her, he noticed something.
Her armor, if hit with the correct amount of sunlight looked like the auroryborialis, he smiled at a couple of fun memories.
He stopped smiling when he heard twilight start crying.
"Twilight? What's wrong?" flash asked putting a hoof on her soldier, this made her cry harder.
"It's all my fault" she wept, "i made this happen by following a old legend and bringing back a evil that distracted us from something else"
Flash put his wing around her, she shoved her head against his armored chest and let her tears roll down it.
"Twilight… the reason why you weren't captured is because you aren't what they needed" flash said lifting her head.
"W-what do you mean" twilight sniffled.
"If you aren't what they want then maybe we can get the back" flash explained.
"Y-your right, we can s-s-still get them back" twilight said smiling slightly before sniffling and leaning against him again.
Flash held the princess as she regained her composure, he looked towards the sun.
"Um twilight?"
"Ya"
"We have a problem"
"What?"
The sun and moon are in the same sky" flash answered looking straight up were the balance of night and day meat.
Twilight stared at the collision of time that had been carefully balanced for years.
Two dots they could hardly make out were racing at each other.
Both gasped and clung to each other.
Nightmare Moon and daybreaker were charging at each other.
