Enjoy, my friends.

He's gone.

That was the thought that rang in all of the Olympians' minds. A mood of grief and despair descended upon the throne room. Poseidon, especially, sat there with stormy dark eyes as he weakly gripped his trident. He radiated a much darker energy than normal.

Zeus sat on his throne with tense shoulders. The King of Gods was currently observing his fellow Olympians, not sure of what to do. He knew that now was not a time for theatrics and pride. His people needed him.

Zeus looked over to his brother Poseidon. He could only feel bad for him. Poseidon was truly attached and loving to his son. Zeus also feared of what was to come. Poseidon's grief and rage would shake the world. Both mortal and godly.

Hades cleared his throat and his eyes widened in fear. "Olympians.", the dark man gasped out. Everyone looked up to him. Poseidon beckoned him to continue. "I cannot sense Percy anymore."

As soon as the words escaped his mouth there was a massive earthquake. The walls of the throne room shook as the God of the Seas unknowingly unleashed some of his energy. Cracks appeared on every throne, as well as the ground.

After 30 seconds of fear and silence, save the earthquake, everything calmed down. No one dared to speak , in fear that a certain trident would be appearing in their chest. Zeus opened his mouth to speak to his brother, but Poseidon flashed out of the room, leaving a note on his chair.

Hestia stood up and walked over to the chair, seeing that no one else would. She read the note silently and her jaw slightly dropped.

"What is it, sister?", Zeus questioned. She closed her mouth and gulped.

"Poseidon has resigned from the council temporarily. He says he is going to search for his son. Alone." Hestia nervously answered. Shock filled the room.

"I'm going as well." Artemis affirmed soundly. The council looked at her. She saw Athena and Apollo about to speak up but she waved them shut. "You will not stop me.", she spoke with a cold voice.

Artemis flashed out, leaving the Olympians to themselves once more.

Annabeth POV, Camp Half-Blood

After Percy had left and both Artemis and I freaked out, the goddess had flashed me back to camp, telling me to round up the huntresses. She had left to the throne room thereafter.

I stood in front of Artemis' cabin and opened the door. I walked in to find multiple arrows pointing at me. "Lower your weapons", I heard a voice call out. I turned to see a familiar spiky black haired female walking towards me. I ran up to her and gave her a tight hug.

Thalia smiled down at me, "Missed you too, Annie." I gave her a glare for calling that awful nickname, but then broke into laughter. I heard a little girl call out to Thalia, "Who's that?"

"This is Percy's friend, Jenny.", Thalia answered. I was glad that she didn't mention anything about our past relationship. I looked down to the little girl. She wasn't a huntress though. I could tell from her attire. I noticed her blonde hair and sharp gray eyes. My sister... "Who are you?"

She looked at me with a glint of happiness in her eyes, "Percy saved me from evil people! He's awesome! Where is he?"

My face darkened as every huntress looked at me and awaited an answer. I quickly used my Daughter of Athena brain to attempt to find the best choice of words for this. I understood that these girls held Percy closer to their heart than any other male ever. They would be heartbroken to found out the truth. But I couldn't lie to them. I just had to give it to them straight up.

"Percy has left us. He told both Artemis and I that he was hurting us too much, and so he just disappeared. We have no idea where he is. Further details shall be released by Artemis.", I carefully spoke, trying not to let my emotions get the better of me.

"Percy's...gone?", Jenny asked in a heartbreaking tone. My heart sank. Just at that moment, a flash went off outside and Artemis swiftly walked into the room. She was met with multiple teary eyed stares. Artemis sighed.

"Poseidon has temporarily deserted the council to go search for Percy. We shall do the same. Annabeth, you are free to join us, but know that we will not go at a slower pace for you."

I nodded. "I will do anything necessary."

Artemis looked at her huntresses. "Go pack. Jenny, stay here."

"Yes, Miss Artemis?", she asked cutely. I smiled at her, knowing what Artemis was going to ask.

Artemis looked down with her. "Would you like to join my huntresses? You would be banned from having a romantic relationship with males. You also receive partial immortality, and you can choose what age to stop growing. I will be your patron."

Jenny contemplated this. "Will I still see Percy?" she asked. Artemis nodded. "Then I agree."

"You must swear on the Styx to always follow me unless further noted. You will abide by my rules."

"I swear on Miss Artemis' terms."

Jenny gained a silver glow and she seemed a little more lively. She gained her huntresses parka as well as a silver bow. Artemis told her to run off to the others and begin packing.

"Well she seems eager for Percy.", I noted. Artemis gave me a smile. "Aren't we all?", she told me. I contemplated her words. She is right. Percy had that effect. We were going to find him.

Percy's POV, location unknown

I wiped away some tears that I never meant to shed. My heart wrenched as I realized what I had just left behind. My friends and family were out. I pushed it aside. There was a war coming in a few years. I had to get stronger to stop my enemies.

I had teleported to somewhere random. I just felt compelled to come here. I was currently sat in the middle of some lake. It felt familiar, but I couldn't place my finger on it. I swam around, trying to clear my mind. The cool water of the lake gave me a sense of peace on the outside despite my mind being all jumbled.

I noticed a small little glow in the corner of my eye. I quickly swam over to it and looked inside. I found a small little cave and swam through. I kept going and landed on a little beach area. Had I seen this before? This seemed like deja-vu.

I continued to explore my surroundings, making my way into the area. I heard a voice singing that I instantly recognized. "Chaos?", I shouted before running towards the lake. This was the area from my dream!

The voice stopped singing. "Perseus!", a feminine voice called out to me. I continued running and then I saw a beautiful woman standing there. Her silver hair was tied up in a ponytail and she had a glowing smile. Her light bracelets jingled as she lifted a hand to wave at me. When I reached her, I gave her a small hug.

I did it on accident and a blush heated my cheeks. Chaos had a blush too, but she ignored the slight awkwardness. "How did you find this place?", she asked me.

"I don't know. I just did.", I answered.

"Oh. So what's up?", she asked me.

"I...left. I was hurting the people I cared about."

"Really? Tell me more."

We sat down and dipped our legs in the water. I explained everything to her. Chaos apparently knew a lot of my past and history, so I only told her about my current problems.

"Perseus, you idiot! Don't you realize that those people would do anything for you!"

"I don't care. I can't bear to hurt them."

"You're hurting them more by leaving! I can feel Artemis' sorrow as we speak, Poseidon left his throne to search for you!", Chaos retorted.

My eyes widened. Dad left his throne just for me? I growled. This was going to be a lot more difficult than I thought. I looked over to Chaos and noticed the worry in her eyes.

"I will return one day, but right now I'm not ready. I'm not strong enough. I couldn't even protect Annabeth quick enough!", I shouted in desperation.

Chaos looked at me with sadness and realization. After a minute of silence while I silently berated myself, Chaos gained a determined gaze. "Perseus.", she called.

I looked up at her with curiosity. "I'm going to help you get stronger. I am the creator. I can help you learn a lot of things."

I smiled in gratitude. "Thank you, Lady Chaos", I decided to answer with formality.

I then heard a sudden voice in my head. 'Percy Jackson...come talk to me.' My head instinctively looked up in the air to look around for enemies. My body tensed up as I prepared for a fight.

'Come to Mt. Tam!' I heard the voice once more.

I recognized that there was only one person who had the power to call to me from Mount Tam.

Atlas..

Yay! This is a shorter chapter, but it kind of eases into the plot some more. Anyways, thanks for reading. Review! :)
