Hello there everyone just in case this doesn't show up in the summery, I just wanted to say that from this chapter on is going to be just my sister. I am very busy and cannot help so there you have it. On with the story.

Chapter eleven:

By day seven InuYasha felt he had travelled far enough. So he decided to slow down for awhile. And even though he still had no way of knowing just where he was going. It did stop him from moving on. After all he really wanted was to escape the pain and that terrible memory.

But like we all know it's impossible to runaway from our problems. And wasn't InuYasha who said he would never run. But there was one thing he did need. He needed a place to hide, during the night of the new moon. And tonight was that very night! InuYasha knew what he needed to do, but the afternoon was not very promising.

Two oni demons had other plans for our hanyou. The battle was long, and hard. And the nasty wounds InuYasha received where life threatening. As a half demon he was fine, but once the sunsets. He became human, and could possibly die from his wounds.

As the sun began to set, the pain from his wounds increased. And still he didn't have a hiding place he really needed. And as the night consumed the day, InuYasha found the pain from his wounds where now to much for his human body. Falling to his knees, he stop under a tree.

'I guess this is where my life ends.' InuYasha thought . While laying with his back against the trunk of tree.

'I have no more reason to live anyway. Naraku is dead, Kikyo's death was avenged. And Kagome is safe with someone else. But how I wish I could've told her, just what she really meant to me.'

As the night completely took away the day. InuYasha started to fall unconscious. But not to faraway his love and friends where closer then he thought.

Kagome's ankle seemed more than just sprained. The swelling would not go down, and the pain was intense. The could only move at a slow pace. Miroku carried Kagome some, but she kept saying she could walk just fine. But Miroku knew better, he could see the pain in her eyes.

Somewhere the karma shined down on them. Miroku's good friend Hachi showed up to help them. Making the journey faster.

"Down there!" Yelled Sango.
"I see it to Sango." Said Miroku. Hachi take us down ."
"As you wish master Miroku." Said Hachi.

There propped against a tree was InuYasha. Before Hachi could come to a complete stop. Kagome leaped off falling to her hands and knees.

"KAGOME!" Cried Sango and Miroku.

Kagome paid no attention to them. Her only concern was InuYasha's slow breathing. As Kagome crawled closer to InuYasha, she could see he was unconscious and barely breathing. Opening his gi, she could see the terrible crest wound. Which was not to faraway from his heart.

'Oh InuYasha! What happened to you?' Thought Kagome trying not to cry.

InuYasha had cuts on his face and arms. From the battle with the oni demons. Kagome quickly got to work on InuYasha's wounds. As she cleaned and bandaged his injuries. Tears came to her eyes.

Miroku and Sango quietly watched from the fire. Knowing just how hard this must be for Kagome, to see InuYasha like this.

'Don't you dare leave me InuYasha! I need to tell you how much you mean to me. Please InuYasha...if only you knew what really happened that night.'

After Kagome was done tending to InuYasha's wounds, she laid out her sleeping bag. Sango and Miroku carefully placed InuYasha in the sleeping bag.

"Please Kagome...get some sleep." Said Sango.

Kagome only nodded while laying down next to InuYasha. Never did she image herself laying like this with InuYasha. But she needed to be close to him.

"It's my turn to protect you InuYasha." Kagome whispered to him. Leaning over Kagome kissed him on the cheek. Kagome laid close to InuYasha, but not to close that she would reopen his chest wound. She also didn't see the smile that formed on InuYasha's face, after she kissed him.
