Sorry that I'm so late with the update you guys! I'm moving on to college next month, and I'm also a waitress so I'm super busy. Anyways, I am happy to present you with chapter 11 of Demon & Human! I've also been working on some one shots in my absence, so watch out for those too. You know the drill read, enjoy, and review!

Rin stared at herself in the mirror and was silently hating herself for not going shopping lately. Today was the day of the dinner and all Rin had that looked presentable to her was a strapless solid red dress. It was flowy and stopped just above her knees. She had curled her hair, and put on a little make-up. She really hoped that she liked it.

She shook her head reminding herself for the hundredth time that night that he and she were not going to be the only ones at this dinner. It was going to be the whole family. His half demon, half brother InuYasha and his human fiancé Kagome. She remembered them very well from the restaurant that night. Kagome was very beautiful, and from what she remembered of InuYasha their personalities were a perfect match. Then there was Sesshoumaru's father...the mighty and very frightening Inu No Taisho. Even though he was very gentle and nice the day that they met she was still frozen with fear at his deep voice and his towering height. Funny how Sesshoumaru was basically the exact replica of the alpha demon, yet she desired to be as close to him as possible.

Then Rin remembered Inu No Taisho mentioning his wife, and how Rin reminded him of her...Izayoi, the human mother of InuYasha. Rin wondered what she looked like. How did a weak girl like her remind Inu No Taisho o his wife?

Rin's body coiled so tightly with nervousness that she thought her bones would snap under the pressure. She slipped on her kitty heels and looked at the clock. The taxi should be here any minute now. She sat on her bed and took several deep breaths, chanting over and over again in her mind that everything was going to be ok...

But what if it wasn't? She had already established that she felt strongly for this demon...but that doesn't mean he felt the same way. No amount of sexual attraction can amount for genuine feelings. But that's the reason why she's going to this dinner right? She is a grown woman and it is about time that she start acting like it! But if he looks at her with those eyes...

Rin's cell phone started to ring, and she recognized the number as the number for the taxi service. She immediately stood up and grabbed her bag as she answered the phone.

"H-hello, I-i-i coming right d-down!" she said as she locked the door to her apartment.

"Alright" was the taxi man's simple reply. Rin rushed down the stairs and out to the awaiting taxi. She got in the backseat and handed him the address. The man looked at the address and then looked back at Rin.

"Who are you? Some kind of reporter? The Taishos really don't like their privacy being invaded young lady." said the driver who had turned back to look at Rin. On the cheek that Rin could see, he had a dark blue swirl, and his eyes were a striking icy blue. A demon? As a taxi driver? Rin had always assumed that demons lived a life of luxury...apparently that wasn't always the case. But how did he know she was going to there? Was this just common knowledge? So much for privacy... The demon looked Rin over carefully.

"Well I guess you do look a little overdressed to be snooping around...red isn't exactly a camouflage color..." Rin just looked at her lap and fisted her hands. If she had the voice to yell she would have done it. Instead all she could do was huff and puff her cheeks out like a child. Was it any of this man's business why she was going there? Rin thought not. She was going to be late because of him!

"I'll take you there...but only under one condition." said the demon. Rin looked up with a new found hope. She would do anything to get to Sesshoumaru faster!

Before Rin could blush at the fact that she just had that thought a biting cold had reached her feet. She looked down and gasped at ice that had incased her feet and was making a hot pursuit up her legs. She tried her hardest to kick her legs as to crack or break the ice, but it felt as if it was five times her body weight. Rin looked up to the driver with frightened and alarmed eyes.

"W-w-what a-are y-y-you doing?!" she exclaimed as she still struggled to no avail, the ice now trapping her arms and continuing to creep up her torso. The demon smiled wickedly at her.

"Just calm down...I'm taking you to Inu No Taisho-sama to make sure you are to be trusted. And to see if you should keep your life." and with that last word Rin blacked out just as the ice fully incased her.
