I can't apologise enough for how long it's taken me to finish this story, I didn't mean to leave it for so long. There maybe one more chapter after this but we'll see how it goes form here.

Chapter 11

All the girls gathered around as Amanda locked up the van and joined everyone else, Gabby couldn't stop smiling, not quite believing that she was finally in Manchester and she couldn't have been happier at who she was getting to spend the special day with.

"Well then girls, it' entirely up to you what you want to do first, just tell us where?" Nikki asked.

"I think we should go to the police station first, I mean it seems the most obvious, am I right?" Lizzie said.

"Totally agree, the station then Miss." Amy replied.

"Right well, as we don't watch the show and have no clue, where do we head too?" Lorraine asked.

"It's in Bury."

Nikki was about to say something but stopped when Gabby mentioned Bury.

"It's in Bury? You are kidding?"

"What?"

"Gabby, that's another half hour away at least, you could have said."

"Sorry, I didn't know…I thought everything was near"

"Okay, it's okay…we can stop off on the way back…it's all fine." Lorraine said, trying to keep the peace.

"Yeah, we'll do that on the way back. Where else is on your list?"

"Well they changed the station after series 3, the other one they used is in Beswick…I know that's not too far from here?" Amanda spoke up.

Nikki and Lorraine turned to the other woman, a look of surprise on their faces.

"What?" Amanda asked.

"How do you know that?" Nikki asked.

"Well I…I might love watching the show too."

"Oh my god, you watch Scott & Bailey too?" Megan asked.

"I do, and no…I'm not embarrassed to say it."

"I didn't say a word."

"I know what you were thinking Nikki."

"Come on then girls, let Amanda lead the way."

Amanda walked with Amy ahead of everyone else as they made their way through Manchester, the girls taking picture after picture as they went, Nikki and Lorraine choosing to stay at the back.

"At least we have a good day for it, no rain." Lorraine smiled.

"Yeah, it's great for the girls, I'm glad Gabby found friends quickly."

"They seem pretty happy anyway."

"And what about you, are you happy?"

"Are you kidding, I'm in Manchester, there's shops I can always nip in too and I'm with you…I couldn't be any happier Nikki."

Lorraine took hold oh Nikki's hand before she leaned in and kissed the other woman.

Chris lagged behind as Em went in to store after store looking at furniture, there were better things he could be doing on his weekend off that shopping for furniture.

"Chris, come on."

"Yeah I'm coming."

He went in side the store, going over to join Em as she looked at the sofas in front of them.

"What about this one?"

"Yeah it's nice."

"Nice? Its just…nice."

"It's a couch Em."

"Okay listen to me, if you want us to move in to the beautiful house that we found then you better stop sulking right now and show some bloody interest in what we're doing here. This isn't just for me, it's for both of us, it's furniture you will be living with for a good few years so stop moaning and help me here or the whole things off, it's up to you?"

"I'm sorry, you're right, I know…I'm being a knob."

"Mmmm, one of many things I could name."

"Okay…the grey one."

"This one?"

"Yeah, the whole place is already painted cream so, yeah it'll go perfectly."

"I do like the walls but I was thinking."

"Oh here we go."

"The living room, how would feel if I did the main wall in purple."

"Purple?"

"Nothing too bright or anything but it would go with the sofa."

"Purple?"

"If you don't like it, we'll paint it back to cream."

"Whatever you want."

"Are you just saying that to shut me up."

"What will get me out of here quicker."

"Okay fine, I'm going to go and get this ordered and then you're taking me too lunch, deal?"

"Deal."

Em leaned in and gave him a quick peck on the cheek before rushing off to see an assistant.

The girls made it to the station, all their phones coming out as they happily snapped picture after picture of the police station.

"You know it's amazing what makes them this happy…a police station." Lorraine laughed.

"Even Amanda's joined in now."

"Yeah, I think we're the only adults left."

"This is so cool, I can't believe we're actually standing outside the police station that Amelia, Lesley and Suranne filmed in." Melissa grinned.

"And Pippa?" Gabby added.

"Oh Dodson, god I loved her." Amy smiled.

"Who?" Lorraine asked.

"No idea, there's a coffee shop over there. Shall we get some drinks for them?"

"Good idea."

"Listen girls, you stay here with Amanda and Lorraine and I will nip across the road and get some drinks for everyone, coke okay for you all?"

All the girls, including Amanda agreed as the two women made their way across the road.

"When they come back, I'm pretty sure the mortuary they used is only a mile or so away from here too." Amanda said.

"Do you think they'd let us look inside?" Emma asked.

All the girls turned and gave her a worried look.

"What? Like you don't want too look, I wanna see where Scary Mary worked."

"Might be fun actually?" Sarah added.

"I'll ask them when they get back." Amanda smiled.

"It's so cool that you like it too."

"Well it's not a show I thought would attract girls your age but I guess you can never tell huh?"

"You don't think Nikki was too mad earlier about Bury do you?" Sophie asked.

"Don't worry about it, I'll drive us there, save her the job. She was fine, she wasn't angry at you."

"Really?"

"Trust me, I know Nikki…you'd know if she was really angry."

They all looked up as Nikki and Lorraine made their way back over, carrying a handful of cans and passed them out to everyone along with a bar of chocolate.

"Okay girls, eat and drink this and then we'll head to the next stop okay." Nikki smiled.

"Thanks Miss." Gabby smiled.

"Gabby?"

"Sorry…Nikki."

Gabby opened her juice, taking a long gulp as she joined her friends sitting on the ground outside the station.
