Lorelei

I wouldn't speak to Tennessee for the entire day, today in fact. No matter how many times he apologized or brought me gifts, like a gold necklace he once stole from a governor's greedy wife, or a jewel studded hand mirror. I'm not that kinda gal who can be easily bought. Well, we did only know each other for a week or so. The truth is, I'd already forgiven him in my heart, but I'm playing hard to get. It keeps 'em interested. ;).

Anyway, Carmelita was explaining that she was snooping around the exhibition halls of a museum and found a lot of stolen goods, and was sent back to this time era by a crooked museum owner, Cecil Le Paradox. He somehow had a time machine of his own, and he caught Carmelita snooping, and sent her back here, to be picked up by Toothpick. Bentley did some research and found out that we needed three keys to get on Toothpick's train, get back Murray's van, and get back Tennessee and me's gold. Bentley had us split up so we could all the keys in time for us to board the train by diverting it's path.

Sly was going to enter a race, Murray was participating in a boxing match, and Carmelita was going to win a sharp shootin' contest. I was going with Carmelita to keep an eye on her. And Tennessee was watching over Murray. Carmelita was beating the coyote's record so far. I was actually quite impressed that she could make a grown coyote cry. After she won the trophy and the key we started walking back to the rendezvous point.

"So why haven't you forgiven Tennessee, he has been treating you like a goddess lately." Carmelita tried to break the silence. "The truth is, I've already forgiven him in my heart," I whispered. "What?!" She said out of shock. "With what he and I've been through, I know he would never do that to me," I giggled, "Besides, it keeps them interested." I felt another urge to vomit and found a place to let out. Carmelita came running up behind me in concern, "Are you okay?" She asked. "Yeah, I'm fine, sweetie," I said between vomits. She looked at me curiously.

"So," I said, wiping some vomit onto my sleeve, "What did Sly do to make you madder than a horse with a spur in it's side?" I asked. She growled when I mentioned Sly's name. She then reluctantly explained that Sly faked having amnesia to be around her, but she figured that he only did it so he wouldn't have to go to jail. "Your lyin' to yourself, honey." I told her. She gave me a death glare. "What are you talking about? He tricked me so I wouldn't arrest him!" She yelled in my face. "Sweetie, he did it so he could spend time with you." I said.

"No, he's a criminal. They are all the same." She crossed her arms and held her head up high. "No, they don't," I said, "Now come on, we need to get to the rendezvous point before our gray hairs start to show." I said. We continued walking until we made it back to the clock tower. We each had our keys presented. But Murray's key was covered in spit. We all gagged at the sight of the spit dripping off the key. "Alright, now let's get inside so we can get the rest of the plan." Bentley rolled inside, but I stopped Tennessee. He turned around to see me smiling at him. Bentley turned around waiting for us to enter. "Lorelei, Tennessee, you two coming?" He asked.

"Uh, go on ahead, Bentley, I need to talk with Tennessee." I gave Bentley a wink, and he knew what I was talking about. When we were alone, Tennessee took off his hat. "Now, listen Lorelei, I have no feelin's to Carmelita at all. She's purty to look at, but I-" I kissed him before he could finish apologizing. "I need to tell you something," I said as I pulled away from the kiss. "What's wrong?" He asked. I put my hand on my stomach and just came right out with it.

"I'm pregnant."

Tennessee

'SHE'S BEEN PREGNANT THIS ENTIRE TIME!?' I screamed in my head. No wonder she's been all moody lately. I just stood there like a cactus. I just didn't know how to react. She started frowning when I didn't say anythin' back. "When you wanna talk about our future, let me know." She stormed off to the other side of the building. Now I feel like a total idiot.

I walked back into the clock tower and sat down to hear the rest of the plan. We were going to jump onto the train as it passed underneath us. Then Sly and I would get back our gold, while Bentley and Carmelita would hack into a computer system to control the train whistles, and Murray would be getting their van back while all of this was going on.

Bentley and I insisted that Lorelei stayed here, especially when we told them about Lorelei's little "predicament". We went out looking for her, but we couldn't find her anywhere. "LORELEI!"I shouted at the top of my lungs. No answer. "Tennessee," Carmelita called from behind me, "The train is almost here. We can find her when we get back." I reluctantly followed her to the bridge where we would jump off and get aboard the train.

As soon as we heard the train comin', we got into position. Sly and I landed near the front, landing on both feet. We started runnin to where Toothpick stashed our gold. But we were taken over by guards. Using my shootin' iron, I took out most of em', and pretty soon we found three wagons of gold. Then I went up ahead and decided to face Toothpick, since he did try to kill mah wife.

I found him at the engine with his back towards me. "Why don't you bring your runt self down here and take your whuppin' like a man, Sheriff?" I shouted. He turned around, blowin' steam out of his ears. "Blast you, Tennessee Kid Cooper! I'm a gonna lock you in the deepest, darkest hole I got and throw away the key!" He chuckled.

"Give it up, Toothpick! The fat lady has sung, and you are done!" I retorted. "Ah, but has YOUR lady sung?" He asked. "What are talkin' bout, Toothpick?" I kept a tight grip on my gun. He whistled for some of his longhorns and they brought in Lorelei's unconscious body. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY WIFE? YOU LILY-LIVERED, HORSE-FACED, BASTARD!" I shouted. Then two rats grabbed me by my arms and I couldn't move or use my gun.

Then Toothpick came rollin' to me. He knocked me flat on my back, knocking my gun out of my hand. "My gun! No!" One of the rats caught it and took it away. "Thanks Kid, Le Paradox sends his regards! Adios idiot!" Toothpick chuckled. Sly came up to my side as the longhorns tossed Lorelei's body. "NO!" I yelled. But Sly slid under her and caught her before she hit the deck. I let my breath go. I was about to go and teach Toothpick what-for, but Sly handed Lorelei to me.

"Relax pal, I'll take care of this." He ran off to deal with Toothpick.
