Dimitri started to wake up a few minutes' later, I turned to me side to be able to see him better. "Hi" I say in a low voice, I should really tell him about the note.
"Good morning" he replies, his voice is muffled because he has his face buried in my neck. "You're up early, I would think you would be sleeping in." he looks up when he notices that I did not reply.
"Yeah, I woke up a little early this time." I gave a small chuckle.
"Rose" he looks me straight in the eyes. "Hmm" I reply "You do know it barley 6 right?" he spoke to me wearily.
"Yeah, I know…"
"So, I would think you would want to be asleep after everything that happened I spoke with Lissa and she said that she will give you the day off. I think you should just stay in bed all day, you look tired. As for me I have to get up and get ready." He gave me a kiss on my head and started to get up; I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him to me.
"Don't leave me, at least not yet." He laid back down and hugged me close to him, he kissed the top of my had then my eyebrows followed by me nose then my lips, I melted into the kiss, I felt all the love he has for me on that kiss. He pulled back, slightly out of breath. "I will never leave you, as long as you want me I'll always be by your side." We stayed in bed for a while and by a while I mean until Lissa was knocking down on our door.
"Rose, Dimitri, get up! C'mon guys get up, we have to talk, and it's late, I know you are recovering but I really need to talk to you guys" With a groan I get up and answer the door while Dimitri gets dressed.
I'm dressed in a tank top with a pair of Dimitri's boxers "Geez Liss you sure do know how to wake someone up." She's dressed in a pair of jeans and a lose t-shirt, Nice and casual. I look to the side and see that she has two guardians with her(Check to see if they live together or not)
Lissa walk in while Dimitri is walking out of the room "Good morning your majesty" Lissa gives Dimitri a stern look and Dimitri corrects himself "uhh I mean, Good morning Lissa" Lissa smiles at him with a much satisfied look on her face.
"Good morning Dimitri. Rose remembers how I was able to get you out of the Hospital early but you had to let a nurse come and check on you?"
"When did I agree to that!?" I asked in shocked
"When I asked you and I quote 'Rose the only way they will let you leave early is cause of two reasons, one because I requested it and two only if you agreed to get checked out two times a day, and if I remember correctly you said yes anything to get me out of here."
I scratched the back of my neck "oh right, yeah, about that" before I said anything else Lissa spoke up.
"You can't change your mind now, you're out and I already signed your release forms, so you're stuck with the nurses, one should be coming around 12 and another at 5, if you let them do their job everything should move smoothly with no problems, however if you do not let them do their jobs you will be moved back to the hospital. Got it?"
"Whoa, when did you get so strict?" I asked, she gave me a sad look and spoke very low " Since I watched you die twice now, if it would have a killed you I don't know what I would have done Rose." She looked up and had tears in her eyes. Damn now I just feel like an ass for making her sad.
I got up from the couch that I was sitting on and went to where she was at "Liss look at me" she looked up and quickly looked back down to her hands I hugged her close to me and whispered by her ear "Liss, I will never leave you unprotected, I won't let a little bullet stop me from being your guardian/ friend/ sister, I will always be here for you, ok?" she looks up and I wipe away all her tears
"Ok, I just can't stand being helpless, I'm sorry, on a more happy note you have the day off today and tomorrow, I talked to Hans and he said you are off the hook, and we have to prepare to lee for Lehigh in less than two weeks, so where do you want to start?"
I looked over to Dimitri and saw that he had a far off look, when he looked at me he gave me a smile and continued to make his coffee. "How about we relax today and tomorrow we can go shopping to where ever we need to go to buy supply, how does that sound?"
Lissa gave me a bright smile "That sounds great, so then what do you want to do today?" I looked over to see Dimitri staring off into space again, maybe Mason was right, and I think I'll have to talk to Dimitri before I leave.
"Well we can watch movies and be in pj's all day if you like? But wont that mean that well have to stay here?" I asked, she just finished telling me about the nurse's coming.
"I can call and tell them to go wherever were going to be, we could go to the office, I could get some paper work done while we watch some television, and I'll just call the nurse to go over."
"Dimitri, do you work today?" I asked looking at him he come over to where we were and kissed the top of my head.
"Yes, I have to work, but I'll be back soon." He sneaks a look at Lissa and I noticed she nods slightly then looks back at me, ok what's going on here.
"What are you going to be doing?" I ask him.
"I'm going to be in the front gates today, Christian doesn't plan to do anything and Hans assigned me there for today. Tomorrow I'm not so sure what I'll be doing but I'll be home before dinner, if you girls will excuse me I have to get ready I start at eight and it now, damn its fifteen minutes till eight, I will talk to you late and I will see you tomorrow Lissa." He gave me a quick peck and stood up to get ready. I told lissa I was going to get ready so we can go. When I walked into the room Dimitri was just getting out of the shower, I went to him and wrapped my arms around him.
"Is everything ok?" I asked him.
"Yeah everything is just fine." He gave me a smile and looked away quickly, he pulled me tighter against him before he let go, "I have to get ready, ok?"
"I let him go and walked to the bathroom, I washed my face a brushed my teeth, when I was done getting ready I was about to walk out of the room when I heard Lissa and Dimitri talking. "I was talking with the other guards to see if anyone had seen the person that shot Rose" that was Lissa talking "I'll ask the other guardians' that were farther away if they saw something, have you spoken to them?" That was Dimitri, are they trying to find whoever is after Lissa "Lissa you do know that this will become a case and it will be attempted murder, it seems to me that whoever fired the shot was trying to take out earthier you or Rose, maybe both. We have to get everyone together and figure something out." Dimitri again
"I'll tell Rose." Lissa spoke up. "Wait I think we should let her rest, I'll tell her soon but first we have to find out if anyone saw anything, One more question, have you been having anymore nightmares?" Dimitri asked, now I was more worried "Yeah, I keep seeing everyone I love get killed, and at the end on the dream I always hear a voice that says 'This is all your fault you majesty' and then there is a look alike that of me and… and I'm the one who shoots Rose, but the thing that bothers me is that I won't only shoot her once, I make her suffer before I actually kill her, and when I try to move I can't, it's like I'm paralyzed." I hear her clear her throat. I have to have a serious talk with both of them if they don't tell me soon.
"Ready?" I ask lissa and sneak a look at Dimitri but he gives nothing away, maybe Mason was right about Dimitri. I grab my keys and start walking to the door, I see Lissa walking ahead of me talking with a guardian, when Dimitri comes and hugs me from behind he whispers to me "You know I love you right?" When he's being this sweet I can't stand being upset with him, "I know, I love you too" I reply he gives me a quick squeeze before turning the other way, I noticed Lissa waiting for me so I walk a bit faster until I reach her, we walk together without speaking both lost in thought. I noticed we are a bit close to her office, but something in the side catches my eye, I see someone start to run so I chase after them, these injures make my breath harder and running feel like hell. I run until I'm my legs hurt, I'm so close, just a little bit more, I knock the person down and turn them over. I noticed two more guardians come up behind me.
"Who are you?" I ask. Ahh so you want to play the silent treatment right? Ok we can play. "I'm going to ask you nicely one more time, who are you?" I put pressure on his throat until he squeals; I ease off just enough for him to talk.
"I'm Mike." He shouts, "Why did you start to run away when you saw that I noticed you?" I ask him, he stays quiet until I add pressure on the throat again. "I don't have to answer to you bitch." He spits at me.
Sorry to disappoint love but you do now, then I notice a sharp pain on my arm, Damn asshole had a knife, he pushes me off of him and starts to get up, before he gets to run I catch his leg and he trips on his face, ha dumbass, he starts to struggle and get a few good punches in my face before I have his arms locked behind his back. "You picked a bad day to pick on me" I whisper in his ear, I get up and pull him up with me. "We have this guardian Hathaway, You might want to go get that checked out." David one of the guardians tells me, he older then me by three years, he is part of Lissa's Royal guard with me.
"Its fine I'll take him in-" David inturepted me before I could finish. "Hathaway, go get checked out then you can talk to him, well keep him in a cell until you are available." He told me, I let this Mike guy go and walked better yet limped back to lissa.
"Rose, you ok?" lissa asked me as we met halfway. "yeah just a paper cut" I tell her, shit my arm burns, maybe this wasn't a paper cut "Rose, your losing too much blood, are you feeling dizzy or can you walk it to the hospital?" she asks me.
"I… um…" I start to feel a bit dizzy but there is no way im going to say it out loud " I can walk, lets go" I start to walk but I notice that the world is tilting to the sides to much, oh come on the cut wasn't even that deep, at least I think it wasn't. Then again I cant tell, my arm feels a but numb. "Guardian Hathaway do you want me to call belikov and tell him about you injury?" someone asks me but I cant tell who it is, I am to focused on trying not to fall over. "No, its not nessacary." I replie. Lissa speaks up all she says is call him. "No, don't call him, hes busy and he does not need to be bothered." I tell them. "Not to disrespect your dissicioun but Belikov will have out heads if we don't tell him, I'm sure the news is already getting around and if we wernt the one to tell him that you got hurt who knows what he'll do to us." Replies one of the guardians "Fine call him. Sissys" I tell them which they both reply to "when it comes to you and Belikov, yes." Were so close I can see the building, I ripped a pice of my shirt and tied it up on my arm. As soon as we get into the building I get put in a stretcher and rolled away, they give me Anastasia to numb the pain, they stick up my arm and my eyebrow and I get rolled into a room, five minuets later Lissa and Dimitri walk in. "ahh the welcome party is here."
They both look at with a stern look. Finially Lissa speaks up, "Are you nuts Rose!" she shouts at me. "You were out of the hospital for less then a day and you already go looking for trouble, are you trying to get yourself killed! Honistly all I ask is for you to stop looking for danger. Once, just onece Rose, can you not be in what you like to call guardian mode?" Dimitri has stayed quiet this whole time. I sneak a peek and noticed he is angry, its hard for him to get angry. I was about to reply right before the doctor walked in, oh great is the same Doctor as last time Dr. Stern.
"My, My Rose if you just want to see me there is a lot of easer way of talking to me." He smiled
"oh believe me I don't want to be here at all." I chuckled, he looked taken back then he collected himself. "Well Rose, You lost more blood I see, The reason why you lost so much blood this time is because you had just gotten shot not so long ago and well as we can see you got a big cut on your arm today, and on the same arm you just happened to get shot at so it just reopend the wound, but you should be fine now, just make sure to get some rest, all you had is a opend lip, eyebrow and a cut on your arm. I would like to keep you here only a little while but I know you wont want to stay with me- here I mean, but umm since you are here and its about to be 12 we will check how everything else is and then you can be on your way." We all stayed quiet for a bit until finally Dimitri spoke up.
"Thank you doctor. Anyting else we can help you wil?" Dimitri asked. replied "I was actually wondering if I could speak to Rose." Dimitri and Lissa look like they could not waite for him to leave. "So, Talk" Dimitri spoke in a harsh tone. "I actually wanted to speak to her alone, if I may" He spoke kind of scared "No, You may not if you are done here please leave right now." Dimitri spoke in a deadly tone. "Ok, then I'll just come back later then, catch up with you later Rose." Left alone with the wolfs.
