Hermione's Life – Chapter 11: Game Plan

When Hermione and her sister Blaize got off the train at the Hogsmede train station Blaize brought up the subject of their plans for the semester. After all, they were getting closer and closer to that pivotal seventh year that everyone looked forward to."We can't start off by looking for the others. It may take years to find all of them really. The place we need to start is by training your powers with ice. At this point you can't even summon it. I bet though Professor Snape would help us get a room."

"What about the fact we are in different dorms?" Hermione let out a deep sigh. She wanted more time to bond with her sister, yet talk about all of the changes which happened to her. She found herself with mixed feelings still regarding everything which happened because she was still in shock. Not only did she find out about her sister, she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her and broke up with him.

"While this isn't always the case, opposites tend to be in the opposite house. It is Gryffindor and Slytherin to Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff." Blaize climbed into the carriage as her sister did. That meant they could in fact ride together.

"So you mean to tell me that my Soul Mate is going to be in Slytherin? I don't like the sounds of that." Hermione let out a deep sigh. She wasn't sure if she wanted a Soul Mate after the mess with Ron, but she didn't want another guy like Ron either.

"Not necessarily The opposites tend to be among the females not the Soul Mates more often then not. It just means if we find one of the opposites then we need to try first looking at the other house. I think Soul Mates are supposed to be from the same house but I could be mistaken. The records just aren't clear and it can vary from generation to generation."

"That means though we were meant to be in separate houses. Oh well." Hermione glanced out the window just in time to see Draco Malfoy approaching. She flinched suddenly. She remembered all to well their past interactions. "Not him."

"Draco? He's not that bad once you get to know him." Blaize blinked a couple of times.

"He tormented me because of my blood status." Hermione muttered.

"Actually... he used that as an excuse. You're the only one he called Mudblood Hermione and now he can't do that. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he finds out."

"What do you mean I was the only one and it was an excuse." Hermione shook her head just as Draco and Pansy got onto the carriage. The fact Draco called only her that startled her, but she didn't understand why the boy might single her out. It hurt her head to think of why she might be singled out.

"What is the Mudblood doing here?" Pansy spat the words out while Draco Malfoy startled suddenly. Hermione of course didn't want to deal with either, but there was honestly something mentally wrong with Pansy Parkinson. Of course, Hermione heard some of the pure blood families were super inbred, so this might explain the lack of intelligence and bad attitude which came from the girl. That, and she was raised a certain way.

"Don't talk about my sister that way... bitch." Blaize suddenly stuck her middle finger out at the girl. Hermione's eyes widen in surprise, shocked her sister would be so blunt with the other girl.

"What are you talking about. Everyone knows she is a Mudblood. You don't have a sister." The girl suddenly sputtered. Seeing Pansy caught off guard was honestly quite amusing.

Draco though pulled on her arm. He seemed bothered by the fact Pansy was attempting to create a scene, but likely knew she was crossing a boundary most pure bloods knew to not cross. "You don't want to get into this. You don't know what you're saying."

Hermione glanced away just as Harry appeared outside the door with a few others. Draco was still dragging her away, but she wondered if Harry would side with Ron. She found herself rather glad when he said, "I went to see Ron and he is rather livid about the situation of not being included. He doesn't know what is going on. Malfoy?"

"We're leaving. Don't worry about it Potter." Draco dragged Pansy out of the carriage but not before he looked Hermione straight in the eyes. For some reason Hermione felt strange and she watched as the boy's cheeks suddenly flushed up. He was then gone from sight. Thankfully Pansy Parkinson was gone as well, which proved a major stress reliever. For some reason she thought Pansy would fit right in with Ron and Lavender, yet this thought disgusted her. She wanted nothing to do with Ron anymore.

Blaize let out a laugh. "I told you. Mudblood was just an excuse."

"I don't understand what you mean." Hermione shook her head. She found herself denying what was right in front of her face, yet why shouldn't she ignore it when what she had once thought was right in front of her face turned out to not be true. Her experience with Ron said things and people may not seem like she thought they seemed, but she was unsure of who to trust. Harry seemed the way he was, but Gunny soon spoke telling her that maybe she could be trusted as well.

"I just passed Malfoy. Did you hex him or did Pansy say something stupid again?" Ginny asked. "His face was completely red."

"He just can't call Hermione Mudblood anymore and he doesn't have anything to defend himself against certain feelings." Blaize smirked. Ginny's eyebrows shot up and she looked at Hermione as if she knew something. A smirk spread across the red-head's face, but she said nothing, much to Hermione's chagrin.

2018 – I finally got around to editing this chapter and the story honestly isn't as bad as I thought. I enjoyed reading it. Sure, it's not the best, but I still love it!
