Chapter 11- Kill Of The Night

("Royals" Lorde)

Damon followed my gaze. "Stefan calm down;" I pleaded. "You just can't control yourself can you?" He snarled pushing Damon back. "Stefan, he's drunk." I interjected. "I don't care what he is." Stefan barked backed. "Baby brother how nice of you to join us." "We're leaving." Stefan declared. "You haven't danced with Elena. Between us I don't think anyone here knows The Foxtrot." Damon grinned raising his cup. Stefan knocked the cup away forcefully causing the drink to spill all over me. Impulsively I stepped back. The music seemed louder than before as Damon and Stefan stood toe to toe.

Matt rushed to my side as he handed me a towel. "That isn't my style. Everyone knows I recycle." Damon smirked tauntingly. "Stop!" I screamed as I placed myself in between them. "Damon." Caroline called as she lead him upstairs. I threw the towel at Stefan, storming off into the kitchen. "Elena." "Stefan, I thought I could handle this. Truth is I don't want to." I confessed. Stefan nodded sympathetically. "I'd like to start my Senior year drama free. And it seems like you have a lot of baggage." Stefan sighed as he tossed the towel on the counter; "Take care." His fingers brushed the side of my face gently. "Elena." Bonnie shot me an apologetic look as Stefan pulled his hand away.

"Are you guys okay?" Bonnie asked concerned. "Yeah. I just broke things off before I got sucked in." I explained. "Why?" "I lost my parents, my brother is a junkie and death might possible be stalking me. I have too much going on to add boyfriend with brother issues." Bonnie hugged me tightly. "You deserve happiness." She stated. Bonnie stepped back as she smiled encouragingly. I grabbed two shot glasses and filled them up with Vodka. "To senior year." "And finding love." Bonnie added. We giggled as we placed the empty shot glasses on the table. "Shall we dance?" Bonnie proposed. "We shall."

"Do we have an Elena Gilbert." The DJ questioned. I raised my hand. "This ones for you from The Mystery stranger." He announced. Bonnie's green eyes locked on mine as the song played through the speakers.

(Verse 1)

The streets a liar

I'm gonna lure you into the dark

My cold desire

To hear the boom, boom, boom of your heart

(Pre-Chorus)

The danger is I'm dangerous

And I might just tear you apart

oh, ah, oh.

(Chorus)

I'm gonna catch ya

I'm gonna get ya, get ya,

oh, ah, oh,

I wanna taste the way that you bleed, oh,

You're my kill of the night

My heart raced as I desperately searched around the room. "We should leave." Bonnie suggested nervously. I ran my fingers through my hair contemplating my next step. "We need to talk to the police." Bonnie demanded. "And tell them what? Someone dedicated me a song and I think it's a crazed psychopath?" Bonnie sighed in defeat. "It means the stranger from the cemetery is here. We have to find them." I declared. "Elena, we are not looking for the psycho who just dedicated a song about wanting to taste the way you bleed." She countered.

"Which is why we have to find out who the mysterious stranger is." "Let's at least have back up." Bonnie pleaded. "Fine." I agreed. "I'll find Matt and you should find Stefan." "That's not going to be awkward." I muttered to myself. I scanned the living room for Stefan. I walked into the kitchen feeling slightly intoxicated. I made my way upstairs to the bathroom. I splashed cold water on my face feeling refreshed. I dried my face as someone knocked on the door. "Just a second." I called out.

My head began to spin as my stomach did flips. I opened the door revealing a shirtless Damon. My eyes lingered on his abs unable to control the sudden urge to touch him. I extended my arm and lightly traced his stomach. Damon studied me keenly while my hand trailed up to his face. I stepped closer, my heart beating rapidly. "Elena." He finally said. I gulped wanting nothing more than to kiss Damon Salvatore. I tilted my head and parted my lips. Damon's brow furrowed as he made no attempt to stop me. He wanted this as badly as I did.

"I know you want to kiss me." I whispered. "Do you?" Damon questioned. "Since the first time we met." I replied. I bit my lip as my body nearly exploded from the anticipation. Damon leaned in slowly as I awaited his lips. "Elena?" Caroline asked uncertain. I gasped, turning around. "I can't believe this. You already have Stefan." "We broke up." I shot back defensively. I felt extremely guilty and there was no excuse for what I almost did. "You just can't stand to see me happy can you?" She snickered. "Care." I paused unsure of what to say; "I'm sorry."

Caroline slammed her bedroom door shut. I stared at the floor far too ashamed to look at Damon. "I acted completely inappropriate. And I'm sorry." I told her though the door. I took a deep breath lifting my head. Damon was standing there motionless. "Damon." He quickly jerked his head in my direction. Damon raised his brow as he gazed into my eyes. "You're drunk." He stated. "I am." I confirmed. "Don't worry I won't hold it against you." He pulled his brows together as his forehead creased. "Thanks." I simple answered. The queasy feeling I felt before returned. "Are you okay?" Damon asked. "I think I'm going to be." I folded over as I began to throw up. I wiped my mouth, my eyes landing on his feet.

"I am so sorry." I cried frantically. I ran into the bathroom and grabbed the roll of paper towels. "Elena, its fine." He calmly stated. "No I'm so sorry." I said absolutely mortified. Damon chuckled as he wiped his feet. "Here." I handed him a damp paper towel. "You really know how to hold down your liquor." He teased. "How can you crack a joke, when I just threw up on you?" "Life is serious enough why not laugh." Damon challenged. "Plus it does help that the drunk girl happens to be attractive." He added.

I smiled bashfully tossing the paper into the garbage pail. I brushed my teeth with a spare brush that Caroline kept here for whenever I slept over. I rinsed with mouth wash. I turned the faucet off, Damon placed his hands on the counter trapping me in the middle. I looked into the mirror as he whispered in my ear. "When you wake up tomorrow, you'll blame the alcohol for your actions." "Probably." I responded nervously. Damon's breath hit the back of my neck causing goose bumps to surface. "I'm giving you a last chance to do it before your conscience kicks in." He stated. "What about your conscience?" I retorted. "I don't have one." He grinned.

I wanted to push him away and run in the opposite direction. "Don't deny yourself a simple pleasure, because you're afraid of what others will think of you. If you choose not to indulge then let it be out of fear that you might actually enjoy it." Damon held my waist and turned me around. I gazed into his blue eyes trying to fight the fire that burned when he was around. I couldn't deny the attraction that I felt for him any longer. "What about tomorrow?" My eyes flickered between his eyes and mouth. "Tomorrow is tomorrow." He breathed.

My hands planted themselves on his shoulders. Damon leaned in stopping just inches away from me. I knew he was giving me a chance to protest. My heart nearly leaped out of my chest as my pulse raced. I pressed my lips against his, unwilling to waste any more time. Our lips moved in synchronization wild with passion. I ran my fingers through his hair while Damon lifted me up and sat me on the counter top. I wrapped my legs around him, biting his bottom lip. I arched my back as he took off my shirt. I pulled him closer feeling his skin against mine. Damon began to kiss my neck as our breathing became heavy.

I closed my eyes in sheer pleasure. My body was overwhelmed with desire and a fire threatening to consume me. "Damon." I moaned as he kissed my chest. I leaned back using the mirror for support. I dug my nails into his back in an effort to tame the passion that scorched violently within me. Damon kissed my exposed stomach, his hands trailing up and down my sides. Another moan escaped my lips. Damon lifted me up once again, I wrapped my legs securely around him. He pressed me against the door kissing me fiercely. I placed my lips against his neck causing his fingertips to press into my skin.

"Elena, are you in there?" Bonnie asked through the door. Damon placed me on my feet. I rested my head against the door trying to regulate my breathing. "Elena!" "I'm in here," I answered out of breath. "Are you okay?" "I'm fine just feeling a bit sick." I lied. "Thank God. I thought the psycho kidnapped you or something." Bonnie said relieved. Damon shot me a puzzled look. "I'll meet you downstairs." "Okay." Bonnie replied. "Psycho?" He questioned curiously. "Someone dedicated me a weird song earlier." I shrugged. Damon became thoughtful as he handed me my shirt. If I told Damon the truth then he would surely think I was insane. That wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but I had a feeling he liked crazy.

"I should go." I said nervously. "Yeah." Damon agreed. I opened the door and froze instantly. I turned around and impulsively pressed my lips against his. I kissed him slowly the passion as intense as before. I reluctantly pulled away. "Before my conscience kicks in;" I touched my swollen lips smilingly. I made my way downstairs in search of Bonnie. I walked into the kitchen struggling to keep the image of Damon pressed against me at bay. I could feel the tingles lurking inside of me. unaware of my surroundings I walked right into someone. "I was not paying attention." I giggled embarrassed. "No problem love." The stranger smiled.

"Looking for someone?" He asked politely. "My best friend actually." I responded. My phone vibrated. "Excuse me." I unlocked my phone seeing a message from Bonnie. Text Message: Elena, Where are you? I'm in the backyard. "Speaking of the devil. She." I paused realizing he was gone. "Elena, Bonnie's looking for you." Tyler informed me. I sighed wanting nothing more than to crash on my bed. I followed Tyler to the backyard. "There you are." Bonnie pulled me toward the fence. "Elena, you were suppose to find Stefan." "I couldn't find him ,then I felt sick so I went upstairs to the bathroom." I partially confessed. Bonnie glared making my guilt kick in. "Did you find Matt?" "No, I bumped into Stefan." Bonnie timidly stated. "And?" "He said that he'll help." "You told him?" "What was I suppose to do?" Bonnie argued.

"How much did you tell him?" Bonnie hesitated before replying; "Everything." "Bonnie!" I cried. "Sorry I was scared and desperate." Bonnie defended. "Great. The guy I break things off with is the one who's going to rescue me." "It's kind of romantic." Bonnie said optimistically. "Just as romantic as making out with his older brother in the bathroom." I snickered. "Uh, Elena." Bonnie pointed at the entire group gaping in our direction. My eyes were wide with shock. "There's no way they heard me." I choked out.

"No, but if there happened to be a microphone lying around connected to an amp. Then they might have." Bonnie muttered uneasily. I followed her eyes causing my heart to stop. I turned off the amp turning away from the crowd. "I forgot they were doing Karaoke earlier." Bonnie said sympathetically. "I have to take responsibility for my actions." "I hope you're ready because Stefan is walking over here and he looks pissed." Bonnie whispered. "Elena." Stefan snapped. I wearily turned to faced him. "I'm going to give you two a minute." Bonnie said before disappearing. This was not going to end well.
