As much as I don't like to post stuff during the school year, (CUZ NO ONE IS ON!), I will anyway because if I don't, I know my best friend will kidnap me and kill me slowly and painfully. So, here it is!

The Director sat in her high backed, jet black, leather chair, facing the window in her office at the Japan Institute. Her office was astonishingly stark; three of the walls were completely white, no pictures or any imperfections at all and the one wall behind her desk was a floor to ceiling window, through which she stared out of now. Her window overlooked the courtyard of the School and from there, she could see the newborn Erasers being trained for combat and hunting. Though it amused the Director to watch the Erasers at work, she had more pressing matters to think about.

Seven of the Schools most successful subjects had escaped from this School in Japan and were now running free. These subjects were quite bright and were impressively good at resisting. They were going to be hard to exterminate, but it had to be done. These subjects were unpredictable and have no proven lifespan. There is no room in the new world for imperfections.

Tapping her fingers impatiently on the arm rest of her chair, she watched the Erasers train as she waited for her intern to tell her that Squadron 7 had returned from their mission. The Director hated waiting and they were already eight and a half minutes late.

In the next second, there was a small burst of static from the intercom box on the Director's desk- of course her desk was also perfectly flawless, not a paper out of place- and her intern's voice filled the room: "Director? Squadron 7 has arrived. Should I send them up?"

The Director pushed up her glasses and sighed. "Yes. Send them in."

There was a small beep and the door of her office open with a hiss. Squadron 7 marched in and stood in before her desk at attention, with the team leader, Jeb Batchelder, In front of the rest.

The Director turned around in her chair like a villain in a cheesy thriller movie and surveyed the team with cold eyes. "Report," she ordered coldly.

Jeb stepped forward and cleared his throat. "We have succeeded in our mission, Director. Subject 7 has been eliminated."

"What did you use?" the Director continued, resting her elbows on her desk and lacing her fingers together.

"We used a newly developed grenade to exterminate Subject 7 and one of its allies."

"Are you sure they're dead?" the Director asked, staring directly into Jeb's eyes. "Did you make sure?"

"They are dead without a doubt. There was absolutely no possible way for them to escape."

"You know just as much as I do, Batchelder, about how crafty these subjects are. Send someone to check the area."

"Director," Jeb began, trying to reason with the Director. "I fail to see how they could have escaped. I had my team of Erasers secure them to trees, and there was no one else there. Plus, I had Ari hide a sensor in a tree. Its not getting any readings of any kind of life in the area. "

The Director stood up suddenly and strode over to Jeb, her white lab coat swishing behind her. She stopped with her face inches from his. "I don't care about your sensor," She said dangerously. "We can't be sure that it didn't find a way to escape. We already lost six of the subjects, and I'm not taking anymore chances of losing this last one! These subjects are going to ruin all of my perfect plans! How can we go ahead with the By-Half plan if we know that at least one of them is going to try to stop us?"

Giving up, Jeb just nodded and turned to his team, "Ari," he said to the lead Eraser. "Send three Erasers to the campsite to check for survivors."

"Yes sir," Ari nodded briskly and selected three of his Erasers. He barked an order at them and instantly the three Erasers marched quickly out of the office, their footfalls echoing of the antiseptic walls.

"Good," The Director, satisfied, turned and walked back to her seat. As she sat down, she turned her chair back around to face the window. "You are dismissed."

Squadron 7 saluted and began to file out of the office when the Director spoke: "Oh, and Jeb," she said, her gaze back on the training Erasers. "If you find that it is alive, capture it and send it to the Institute in New York. There, we can exterminate it properly."
