Danny had watched the doctor leave, heading to get the results of the latest x-ray of his ribs. The doctor now suspected he actually had some cracked ribs and had told Danny he would return with the results. In the meantime Danny had expected his friends to pile back into the room. But after 10 minutes Danny was finding himself struggling to keep his eyes open. He had hardly got any sleep that previous night as his quest to find a comfortable spot was never ending. But right now, laying in the bed, Danny found himself drifting off slowly. He was barely asleep when he felt a presence near him. He opened his eyes but couldn't see anyone nearby. He decided he was either too tired or too medicated to think straight and that he was just imagining things. He closed his eyes once more and tried to stop his head from pounding. Only seconds had gone by and a small sound echoed in his ears.

He once more opened his eyes. At first he thought he saw a faint shadow run across the no one was near him. Danny once again closed his eyes, fighting the tiredness that was overcoming him. Want he didn't see was the dark figure approaching the bed. The figure towered over the hospital bed and stood over Danny glaring down at him. Danny knew he felt a presence and opened his eyes.

The figure grabbed for him, Danny's screams were muffled.

Steve stood next to the vending machine, sipping a now cold cup of coffee. Kono was tapping away on her laptop nearby. Chin sat beside her, going over the cctv images that they had tracked down. All three was silent in their actions and thoughts. All thinking about the recent events but not one wanting to say a word. Steve had received another call from the Governor wanting to know what had happened at the house and to check on the officers. Steve had relayed all he knew about the case so far and of course the Governor wanted the case to be the top priority. Steve still wanted to work on the Fowler case. Something didn't add up there and he wanted to look into it. His phone chimed once more and he checked the screen. He scrolled to see an email waiting for him. He opened it and was shocked to see a picture of Danny, asleep on his hospital bed. A message was attached to the picture. Steve only read the first two words before his heart almost sank to an unreachable state.

"Danny!" He screamed running down the corridor. Kono and Chin ran after him, not sure on what was happening.

"What is it?" Chin asked as they headed towards Danny's room. But Steve didn't answer. He reached the door of Danny's room and barged through. The bed in front of him was empty, the covers on the floor and the side table was tipped on the floor.

"Danny?" Steve called, silently hoping he was in the bathroom.

"Where is he?" Kono asked. Steve walked over to the bed, a shiny object took his eye. It was slightly hidden by a pillow. He reached down and pulled out Danny's detective badge.

"He has been taken."
