Ally's POV
Birthday's, why do we even have to celebrate them, I mean it's just another day closer to death, so why are we celebrating the fact that we're that much closer to dying.
As you can tell I am not particularly excited for my birthday, I mean why would I celebrate my dad is out of town and team Austin is starting to separate. So when I woke up and received a birthday text from Trish I half heartedly thanked her, it's not that I am great full that Trish remembered my birthday its just I'm not really in the mood for making a day to basically celebrate me. When I made my way downstairs I noticed the blinking red light that signalled I missed a call. 'Hey Ally happy birthday, sorry I can't be there but once I come home I promise we will celebrate, hope you have fun on your special day, I love you'. When the message ended I smiled to myself, and took and mental note to call my dad and thank him.
As I went to the pantry to make myself a bowl of my favourite cereal, as I was about to sit down I herd a knock at the door. I rolled my eyes annoyed that someone would interrupt my cereal time.
As I opened the door and Trish came running into the house ''Ally thank god you awake I was afraid that I had to use the old 'dip your hand in warm water trick'' Trish said giving me a friendly nudge.
''Well I guess lucky for me you don't need to'' I said walking over to my bowl of cereal, as Trish followed.
''how can you eat that on your birthday!'' Trish said looking surprised at what I was going to eat for breakfast.
''well my dad isn't home so this is all I am able to have for breakfast'' I said shrugging, not really caring that all I had to eat for breakfast was cereal.
''come on Ally get changed and we will go out for a birthday breakfast, my treat!'' Trish said taking the bowl of cereal away from me and dumbing it into the sink, I whined for a bit and told her that she just waisted a perfectly good bowl of cereal, Trish as usually wasn't really listening and just told me to get changed. When I got down Trish was sitting on the couch reading some of the newspapers that I left on the coffee table.
''great lets go!'' Trish said wrapping her arm around my and leading me towards the door.
''were are we going any ways?'' I asked while be dragged out of my own house by Trish.
''It's a surprise! now lets just forget about everything that's happening right now between you and Austin and lets just make this day about you'' Trish said as we both made our way down the street.
''Okay, fine but its only 10:30am no promises that this wont be another drama filled day'' I said giving into Trish and just decided to stop resisting and just give into what she had planned for my birthday. When we got close to the location Trish told me to close my eyes, I agreed and closed my eyes to let Trish lead me to wherever this secret restaurant was.
SURPRISE!
Was all I herd, I opened my eyes in shock to see some of the store owners at the Miami mall and to my surprise I even saw Mindy there, I went around and thanked everyone for coming.
''Thanks Trish, this is a great birthday party!'' I said giving her a hug.
''Oh Ally! This party is just part one of your party!'' Trish said laughing.
''Part one! Trish I really am fine with just this party'' Trish didn't say anything, she just gave ma a friendly look and started to mingle, I sighed and just decided to leave it. Once people started to leave Trish and I headed to the store.
''You wont believe what I have planned for your part 2 birthday party'' Trish said hopping onto the counter, I rolled my eyes at her comment about having two party's, I really was just fine with one party but with Trish nothing is enough.
''Did you invite Austin?'' I asked putting away the violins
''I was planning this party way before the whole you and Austin thing, but I can tell him you don't want him there'' Trish said sounding guilty.
''it's okay Trish I doubt he'll actually come to the party'' I said giving her a simple shrug and heading back to the storage room. It's been three hours Trish and I spent at the store, man time sure flies when you're working.
'' hey guys! Ally happy birthday!'' Dez walking into the store carrying ten blown up colourful balloons and handed them to me.
''thanks Dez!'' I said taking the balloons and giving him a hug.
''are you ready to partaaaayy!?'' Dez asked emphasising the 'a' in party. I laughed and told him I was really excited but my excitement quickly vanished when Dez brought up Austin.
'' I talked to Austin today'' Dez said leaving Trish and I wanting to know what he talked to Austin about.
''You and Austin talked about what!'' Trish yelled at Dez, we received a few confused looks by the costumers but I quickly gave them an apologetic smile and dragged Trish and Dez somewhere more private.
''oh! you wanted me to tell you now?'' Dez said rubbing the back of his head and looking confused. I rolled my eyes and furiously nodded my head. ''Austin said to tell you Happy birthday!, so happy birthday from Austin'' Dez said sounding really excited. Great Austin couldn't tell me himself and he had to ask Dez to tell me! When I thought Austin wasn't going to attend my party I know now for sure now that Austin Moon wasn't going to be there.
''Come on Ally lets go to your place and get dressed for the party!'' Trish said trying to change the subject I agreed and closed the store, with Dez not far behind. We sad our goodbyes as Trish and I made our way to my house. When I got home Trish raided my closet to look for something I could wear, she finally found a floral high low maxi dress that my dad bought me in one of his trips.
''Ally you look amazing!'' Trish said giving me a hug, its these moments that I realize no matter how loud, sassy or sarcastic Trish is she will always be there for me and I will always be there for her.
''Thanks Trish, what are you going to wear?'' I asked, ending the hug.
''please, what I'm wearing is fine, besides the attention is suppose to be on you'' She said pointing at her outfit.
''How can I ever repay you Trish?''
''just remember my birthday is in 4 months'' I laughed and nodded as we existed my house and made our way to the secret venue.
I was really excited for this party, I truly was but don't you ever get this feeling that something is missing in a moment? Well that's how I feel, something was missing and I couldn't really put my finger on it. As we entered the huge building, Trish and I hopped into the elevator and headed to the penthouse from there we followed the signs that lead us to a huge ballroom that was decorated in bright coral colours and balloons everywhere, when we got there we were greeted by Dez and 50 other people that didn't really look familiar took me but none the less I was thankful that they came.
The party was in full swing and I was having so much fun, I didn't remember the last time I had this much fun. This was a drama free birthday just the way I wanted it, but there was still that missing filling inside of me.
''Hey happy birthday Ally!'' A girl said to me, I didn't really know who she but I thanked her any ways. ''so is Austin like not coming to the party? That's half of the reason why I came'' The girl spoke, right then and there it hit me that the missing piece was Austin, this birthday wasn't the same if I couldn't spend it with all of my friends. I gave the girl a nod and decided I needed some air.
I knew Austin wasn't going to come, but there was still that small moment of hope in my body that made me think he would. I was standing outside in the warm Miami weather just thinking, thinking about how Austin could ruin this party without him being here! How could just one person have such an affect on someone.
''shouldn't you be at the party?'' I herd a voice say, I turned around to see Dez holding a jar of pickles, I laughed and took the jar from him.
''just needed a break from the craziness'' I said shrugging. Leaving an awkward pause between us.
''you know Austin did want to be here tonight'' Dez said being the first one to speak.
''Then why isn't he here? I think if he wanted to come he would have showed up by now, so tell me Dez why is Austin so late!'' I said almost yelling at Dez, I really didn't mean to yell at him it's just him saying it out loud started to make it feel like a reality that Austin wasn't here with me.
'' I don't know? why don't you ask him yourself'' Dez said, I looked confused the next thing I knew I was turning around to see the guy that I thought would never show up.
''What are you doing here?'' I said looking at Austin in shock, he was holding a small box and a card.
''Ally it's your birthday, do you think I would forget about it?'' Austin asked handing me the gifts.
''to be honest yeah!, but until this point I thought you wouldn't show'' I said looking down, feeling really stupid for even doubting Austin for a second.
''Well I'm here now, that's all that matters right?'' I nodded and gave him a hug. The fairytale moment soon ended when I realised that my prince still had a girl friend and she was bound to be around here somewhere.
''were's Aubrey?''
''were kind of having some troubles right now'' Austin said looking guilty.
''Why? what happened'' I asked taking his hand into mine, god there were those sparks again.
''she didn't want me to come here tonight but I wanted to so I just left'' Austin looking down at our hands, I realized we were still holding hands so I awkwardly moved my hands away from his. ''Hey this night is about you! so why don't we just forget about the girl friend drama and make this about you!'' Austin said leading me towards the party.
All in all my birthday turned out to be amazing, and what I learned from this day was keep your friends close because friends are the family you get to choose.

But here it is and I hope you like it, Austin will kind of have his own chapter next week and you get to see why him and Aubrey are fighting and how he actually feels about Ally!
