A/N: Heres my latest chapter. Yeah new ideas are going put a twist on this. Now enjoy~

He stood staring at his reflection in a mirror. It had been a few minutes since the crew of people had left him alone since their fitting and dressing crusade. If there was an aspect of his body they hadn't measured he didn't know where it was. On the brightside whatever he was wearing looked good on him, having someone personally pick your outfits was well, better fashionably for him.

It wasn't long before he was asked to a follow a servant to be taken to where his date would be waiting his arrival. Yeah a date, that was certainly not what this was, this was just a fancier way of saying 'were training, but in a fancier format'. Yeah he hated this situation, but it was given as an order so he would follow it through.

"My my, didn't they fix you up nicely?" a voice echoed from behind.

He knew the owner, how could he not? After all it hadn't been not to long ago that he had taken on an entire army of the undead, to nearly be killed with her. It was Shion, the girl whose proposal gave the Hokage more time to drink the booze she always managed to smuggle in her office. That being said, he didn't hate the girl quite the opposite he admired her charisma she gained from their last situation.

"Well I guess so, but that one lady I'm sure she was groping my butt for the fun of it." He said, it only gained a grin and giggle from the girl behind him.

"Well let's not dilly dally, we have a party to attend." and with that they began their march to the 'party'.

It had been nearly two hours since they had first came into the ballroom. It was filled with aristocrats from what looked like every nation. When he imagined a party he had more of the a few friends drinking tea and eating barbecue, that was a way off. He had been dragged to nearly every table in the room to give the same story, how he had managed to save the priestess, and then later on his whole entire village. It wasn't a story that you could tell more than twice before it became boring and long to say.

"...And then everyone hoisted me in the air in congratulations."

"My boy, it seems like you have had your adventures quite early in life. How someone like you is still on the market, I will never know." an elderly woman said.

"On the market..?"

"You know I have a granddaughter about your age, I could introduce you to her, she is at this very party. I've heard from my son she is quite the fan of yours"

"Im always glad to meet a fan."

He didn't understand what 'on the market' meant, but if he had a fan, and not some boring old people to talk to then he would take it. Afterall it was his duty as the number one Hokage candidate to meet everyone he could.

The old lady guided him through crowds of people only to stop in front of a large gathering of men. Just what the hell was this woman doing, but within one word from her all the men scattered, and what was left was a girl. His eyes widened she was... well in a word 'beautiful'.

"Trina dear, this here is-"

"Naruto Uzumaki, a genin from Kohona." she stated. "He's also next in line to become Hokage."

"Wow, you sure know a lot." he released.

"Well I'll leave you two alone so you can get to know each other." with that the elderly woman was now gone.

Naruto gazed over the girls appearance once again. Hair like coal, and eyes just as blue as his, just a few inches shorter. He had a feeling that he was brought there to spark up a relationship, well more like a marriage proposal. Yeah right he wasn't looking to get married anytime soon.

"So Naruto Uzumaki, will you accompany me to the outside balcony?"

"Sure, I guess."

They had made their way outside. They were they only ones outside. Why had she drug him out here, couldn't they have spoken inside the ballroom? Whatever purpose it was couldn't be good, but for now he would let her make her advance.

"When I first imagined what the Naruto Uzumaki that everyone was talking about looked like. Your appearance now wan't what came to mind, no it was quite the opposite , I had you pegged for a heartless monster. An yet here you are, polite, gentle, bright eyed, and talking to guests. But something is off with you.."

"Something is off with me?"

He didn't understand just what the hell she was talking about, he was just his usual self. Bright eyed, flamboyant smiled, knuckleheaded self.

"Yes." she said. "Naruto, you don't have someone to love do you?"

'Some one to love'? Just what was she getting at? He had plenty to love. His village, his friends, Ramen, and much much more. So what was she trying to say to him.

"I can tell it by the look in your eyes. I can see it on how you're looking at every of age girl in that party. You are lonely."

He didn't come here to be analyzed by some high horsed girl, but her logic wasn't off. He indeed was lonely. Then again there was hardly a time when he wasn't lonely, he was always alone unless he was out on missions or training. So.. she was completely right.

"I-I've always been alone. I didn't even have friends till I managed to graduate the academy. Then after some time the person I considered to be my best friend left. An for a long time it seemed like I wouldn't manage to bring him back... But when I did I was happy. Then... he got married to the girl I loved." he stated. "So if you're asking if I have someone to love, then the answers no, because she loves someone else."

He didn't wait for her response, he didn't care if she gave one or not. All he wanted to do now was leave. The party was no longer fun, no it just reminded him of the day he stood by a passenger and watched the girl he loved marry his best friend.

A/N: There will not be a development between new girl and Naruto, I plan to just keep it a slight love triangle. Other than that I hope you enjoyed reading it and I hope to read your reviews soon. Also here is my tumblr url:
