The rest of school is an emotional roller-coaster. You go through patched of crying to sleep every night just because Becker's not there and being overly happy the next morning. Rob is no better although you're sure he hasn't resorted to crying about it. You had to explain to Travina what happened with Chrissie but she doesn't seem to fussed about it. If anything, she seems grateful that she was deffinatley gone for good. You hadn't heard from Becker since you'd messaged him and you wondered if that was a good thing or a bad thing. You occasionally wonder what it would be like when he went to Iraq or something and you didn't hear from him then.

The last day of school rolls around and yearbooks are handed out. They contain a little information on the next step in people's lives and several pictures from throughout the year including prom. There are tearful goodbyes from people that you might never see again and the day marks the thirty first day of Becker being away. As you leave the school for the last time, Mikey tells you to meet at Rob's house in exactly one week at six PM and to bring camping gear.

The four of you split up on Newton Drive, Mikey heading down the side road to Wellington Road and Jenny heading to catch the bus for Romill close. "It's going to be weird not seeing everyone again." you comment as you and Rob head home.

"I know. I haven't given much thought to what I want to do. Army probably." you laugh at him, knowing that Rob's dream has always been to follow in the footsteps of his big brother. "I guess I'll see you next week then." he smiles and you nod, crossing the road to your street.

Once home, you toss your bag on the stairs and grab food from the kitchen. You flick on the news and turn it off again at the political debate being discussed. You take the stairs two at a time to your room, launching yourself at your bed. You bounce several times on the mattress before switching your CD player on. You dance around your room to the music for a while until you get bored. You flick the player off and reach for the book on your bedside table.

You're so involved with the doings of the main character that when your phone beeps you shriek, dropping your book. You glare at your mobile, reaching to read the message that's been on your phone for several hours now.

It's Becker.

Hope you had a good last day in school. Hope you didn't get into any trouble! :) x

A grin overcomes you and you leap from your bed to call Rob.

"I think it's sweet." Jenny smiles a week later from the sofa. "Becker texting you and all that."

"Sweet but decidedly creepy." Rob grins from the floor and you throw a pillow in his direction. It hits Mikey instead who throws it back at you. You slap it sideways so that it hits Jenny. Jenny glowers, throwing the pillow back at you then grabbing it and throwing it at Mikey. It takes three seconds for a full pillow fight to evolve. You only stop fighting when Travina's car rolls up and it's then a mad rush to put everything back in order.

"I have pizza!" Travina calls and the four of you rush into the hallway to grab the four cardboard boxes.

The purpose of tonight is to gorge yourselves on junk food and watch scary films in preparation for camping tomorrow night. You're pretty sure that you'll regret this in twenty four hours. Three films have been prepared: The Abandoned, Dracula and The Blair Witch project. In the end, on the third film is actually watched.

You come to the conclusion to never go to Burkettsville, Ohio and settle down on the sofa to sleep.

Travina drops you off at the camp-site at four the next day. The camp-site is in the middle of a small forest and there are only a few other tents present. You've been allocated slot 29 and the other tents are in slots 4, 11, 39 and 57. You and Jenny leave the boys to set up the tent, taking a wander around the field. "It's nice hear." Jenny comments an hour later, skimming a stone into a small lake just beyond the camp-site.

"Yeah. Be better if the film wasn't playing in the back of my mind though."

"True." Jenny laughs, tossing another stone across the water. "I wonder if the boys have gotten the fire going yet." the two of you head back to find the boys trying to light the trangia. You roll your eyes at Jenny as Mikey finally sets light to the meths and Rob starts to cook the pasta.

You all cram into the small, orange, four person tent later that night. Rob and Mikey are on the outside, you and Jenny in the middle. It's ridiculously warm in the tent and the four of you are having trouble sleeping. You're willing to guess that the other three are also thinking about The Blair Witch Project.

"Okay." you mumble, giving up on the whole idea of sleep. "I can safely say watching The Blair Witch Project before coming out here was a bad idea." the others nod in agreement and you all jump as a twig cracks outside.

"Just an animal, just an animal." Jenny mutters to herself and you feel your own panic rise.

The tent jerks suddenly and you all scream. You scramble over each other in attempt to get out of the tent, ripping the zip on the way. Someone steps on your hand and someone else rolls over you. You're pretty sure you've kicked someone's head.

Once out side you're surrounded by black, moving shapes. "Run!" Rob yells and him and Mikey take off. Jenny screams and runs after the boys. A few black shapes chase after them and you take this is a cue to run. You run in the opposite direction from them for some stupid reason.

You can hear footsteps following you and you pick up the pace. Your chest is burning and so are your leg muscles. You're rather proud of your self for being able to run at such speeds in the dark.

You stumble through the undergrowth and dodge the tree trunks. Someone's calling your name. "Hey! Wait! Come back!" you slow. You know that voice and that voice is meant to be in Berkshire, not Romsey.

"Becker?" Becker stumbles into view and you breath a sigh of relief, leaning back against a tree.

"Sorry. We didn't mean to scare you."

"Well, you've probably scared me me for life now."

Becker grins."I'm sorry."

"Too damn right." you grin and launch yourself at him in a hug. He returns the hug as soon as he catches on to what you're doing. "What are you doing here? You're meant to be at Sandhurst."

"Managed to get some time off." He smiles lazily and your heart flutters. "Me, Clide, Ricky and John." he adds and you let your arm drop to your side. Becker reaches a hand up to your hair, brushing it from your eyes and removing several leaves and a twig from the birds nest that your hair resembles. You open your mouth to ask what he's doing but his lips press firmly against yours, cutting off any form of words. Your mind goes fuzzy and you feel light headed at the feeling of being pushed against the tree by his body. It takes you several seconds to realise what Becker's doing and by that time he's pulled away. There's horror on his face and fright at what he's just done. "I'm sorry. I thou-" you cut him off by tangling your hands in his hair and bringing his lips to yours. One of his hands presses into the small of your back, the other tangling in your hair at the base of your head while yours grip at his black shirt. "Okay. Not sorry." he whispers huskily as the two of you come up for breath. You smile, pressing another quick kiss to his lips that ends up lasting another few minutes.

"Perhaps we should find the others." you suggest, untangling your hands from his shirt and smoothing your hair.

"Yeah." Becker smiles, taking your hand and kissing your cheek. "That might be a good idea."

Next up- telling Rob, Mikey, Jenny and Travina!
