Hello People, I know it's only been a year since the last chapter but finally I am back after a lot of Writer's block and non-fanfiction obligations. But here we go Chapter 11 of Protector of Arendelle Hope you enjoy
Chapter 11- Shut Out
As you look around at the door as you and Elsa step back from each other. In front of you stood councilman Heinrich. "So this is where we find you (L/N), Your Majesty" he said as he looked at you and bowed to Elsa. Immediately you took a stern look towards Heinrich, although this was your first encounter with Heinrich you had heard from the king about Heinrich's reputation as a no nonsense attitude ex soldier turned politician and had even been known to hurry council members who he deemed as slow in their decision making, he was straight to the point and hated getting a no to the point he'd only allow The King to deny him.
You and Elsa look at him before you speak first "So what do you want councilman?" You say bluntly, to which he replies with a cold look. "Well L/N, Under the laws of the kingdom of Arendelle, it has come to a decision that by the decree that the kingdom and the royal family are no longer in need of your services at the palace." He said quickly, sharply and without any emotion, like a knife dealing a fatal blow.
You stand there confused, you look at Elsa, then at the councilman, and then back at Elsa again, your gaze turning eventually to it's original position, saying "No, come on this has gotta be a mistake?" you looked at Henrich. His face, emotionless as his reply.
"Under the laws of Arendelle when the previous monarch dies, the laws dictate that any employment contracts may be overlooked and revoked in accordance to the timing and the situation, your assistance in helping the royal princesses although appreciated is no longer needed due to their age and capability to think for themselves." he said before adding. "Because of this you have until the setting of the sun to remove yourself and your belongings from the palace."
You look at him before quickly replying "Hang on what about Elsa?" you say looking at her "She's your queen now, she should have a say." You say turning to the silent queen. Before she could reply the shorter ex-military man interrupted with "She doesn't get a say as she's not an official queen because she is not of age." he snapped looking at you.
Elsa looked at you and then the councilman "But councilman, my father employed F/N as my personal protector it should be my choice" She said. You then smiled but it didn't last long.
In a huff, the councilman looked at you both "Well your majesty as the spokesperson for the council, your father's former advisor and the keeper of the books. The contract between your protector and your father is cast as up for decision of the council and since as our soon to be queen you have the whole of Arendelle at your service and believe me an army can do more than one lone man." He scoffed.
You look at him "I didn't see that years ago when the sorceress Morgaine invaded, I saw your troops drop like they were made of dominoes whilst I took a stand against her and put her behind bars." You say back smugly which really displeases Heinrich.
"You have till dawn tomorrow to be removed from the castle or as a member of the council of Arendelle I shall have you removed by the royal guard and to the cells where you will stay before being sailed away from Arendelle." He said before walking out not even giving you chance to reply.
You look at Elsa, But she then walks away "I'm sorry y/n" She said. The room grew extremely cold to the point the fire that was roaring was blown out by the icy winds. She left without another word and a tear in her eye you looked down the hall only to hear the slam of a door.
So a short chapter but enough filler for Chapter 12, This is where we shall begin to fall along the plot of Frozen but in true crossover style we'll keep some extra twists.
