Regina sat in the empty room cradling Emma to her body, as soon as Cora had left them her army had disappeared as well so all that could be heard was the confused, stumbling footsteps of guards searching every room.

Regina slowly started to rock back and forth, the tears still flowing from her eyes as she hummed a lullaby that she used to sing to Henry to sooth his nightmares.

'Regina?' Snow questioned as she entered the room with Charming in tow. 'Emma, oh god, what's happened?' The White Queen ran into the room and skidded to a stop, falling next to her daughter. She tried to take the blonde into her arms but was stopped by the crying brunette. 'Regina, please, let me have her.'

'No,' Regina cried. 'No, let me have this. It's probably going to be the last time anyway.' She gathered the fallen woman even tighter in her arms and kissed her head.

'Okay, just calm down and tell me what's wrong with her?' Snow had seen that Emma was breathing so she was content to let the other woman hold her unconscious daughter for now.

'It's the Feral Curse.' With that Regina just buried her face in Emma's blonde hair and sobbed. 'I just got her back and now this.'

Snow rested her hand on Regina's shoulder and looked at Charming who was stood behind her. They had both heard of the curse, of course they had, there was nobody in this realm that hadn't, but they were positive that it wouldn't be as bad as they all thought. 'It's alright Regina; she's the saviour, so this isn't going to affect her.'

That snapped the broken woman's head up. 'Are you so idiotic that you believe that the whole saviour thing and your family line can repel such a curse? Are you that dense? Not everything can be solved with your simple response of her being the saviour. I should have just taken her away when we had the chance and none of this would have happened. Need I remind you that this is your fault?'

'How is it my fault?'

'You couldn't just let her be, you had to push her at every noble that you could find, thinking that being the glittery princess was what she wanted. Did your time in Storybrooke teach you nothing? Women are not currency; you do not use them to secure your position or kingdom's funds and you definitely do not make them do things against their wishes.'

Snow bristled at this, 'I have never done that, I was simply introducing her to people that she might want to get to know better.'

'She is able to introduce herself.'

'It's all so new to her, being in the land of her birth but not knowing the traditions confused her. I was only helping.'

Regina scoffed at the other woman, holding Emma closer she nuzzled her face into the blonde's thick hair. 'I know you can't hear me, my darling. I know that you are probably confused, lost and scared but I will do everything in my power to bring you back to me. I won't lose you; we'll do everything you planned and more.'

'And what exactly did you two plan?' Before Regina could answer Emma started to move, groaning as she came round. Snow, pushing Regina to one side, knelt next to her daughter holding her face in her hands. 'Emma, you're alright. You were just hit with a curse but you'll be okay, you just need to shake it off.'

Emma's eyes opened and stared at her mother for a few seconds; Regina had moved to stand behind Snow and just looked into the eyes of the tormented woman. It was a definite switch from the loving green that she had just witnessed; now they were fearful and aggressive. Panic swirled through them as Emma started to lash out at the hands that held her down, throwing her arms around and kicking out at everything. Growling and snarling she managed to back herself away from the two women as she watched them with mistrust.

'What's happened to her?' Snow whispered.

'The curse you fool.'

'But she's the Saviour! She's the product of True Love! This should not be happening.' Snow screamed.

Emma darted to the corner of the room when her mother started to yell with wide eyes of fear as she started to growl and gnash her teeth at the hysterical woman.

'Calm yourself you simpering idiot, you're scaring her.' Regina had no real idea how to handle the situation but she had promised the young woman that she would save her and she would not go back on her word. As she watched the blonde woman glaring at her mother, not recognising either of them and just seeing them as threats, Regina decided that the only thing she could do at the moment was to calm the blonde down and as loath as she was to admit it, the best way to do that was to treat her like an animal. A scared, lost and dangerous animal.

'I am not scaring her!' Snow snapped as she walked over to her daughter, reaching out to touch her. The blonde lashed out with her teeth, biting down on the flesh that was nearest to her and not letting go. 'Emma!' Snow yelled. 'What are you doing?' Wrenching her hand away Snow went to strike Emma across the face but was stopped by an invisible force causing the blonde to flinch then stare curiously at the other woman in the room who had her hand stretched towards Snow White.

'You will never raise your hand to Emma ever again or I will cut it off, do you understand me?' Regina stated calmly.

Snow clutched her bleeding hand, moving away from the snarling blonde she nodded slowly as she went over to her husband who had been in the corner watching the whole thing. 'I didn't mean to do that, it was just a reaction.'

'Your daughter is ill, just look at it like that if you can and get your head out of your arse.' Regina slowly edged her way towards the trembling blonde; there was a small trickle of blood on her chin and a panicked gleam in her eyes. The brunette slowly reached her hand out, almost as you would to a strange dog and sank to her knees so she wasn't towering over the scared woman. 'It's alright my love; you don't have to be afraid of me. You don't have to attack me; I promise that I won't hurt you.'

Emma watched as she was approached but stayed on full alert of the hand that was inching towards her body. She shuddered forward slightly and still the hand did not flinch or stop on its way, she was about to lean into the hand when suddenly she slumped to the floor. Regina shot upwards and glared at Charming, who had snuck up to the pair and struck Emma on the back of the head with the hilt of his sword.

'What the hell do you think you are doing?' Regina yelled as she flung him to the wall and held him in place.

'She's dangerous Regina, just look at what she did to Snow, her own mother!'

'She has no idea who any of us are, she would only respond to kindness and safety and you have gone and ruined any chance I had of connecting with her.' Regina sank back to her knees and gently lifted the blonde's head into her lap. 'Just what do you plan on doing to her? And I swear, if you mention hiding her away as some shameful secret I have no problems with dismembering you right now.'

'I don't know.' Charming muttered. 'I was hoping that Blue would be able to help or maybe she will fight it. Or we could try and find her True Love.'

'She's already found her and you know it. Don't you think that if True Love's kiss worked I would have tried it by now?'

'Maybe you should just except that you are not her true love.'

Huffing at their stubbornness, Regina lightly pressed her lips against the unconscious blonde and kissed her love. The two of them were surrounded by a soft glow that was brighter over their hearts with a single beam connecting the two of them, as the older woman pulled her lips away the brightness started to fade but still remained over her and the blonde's chests. 'See,' she whispered as she gazed lovingly at the woman in her lap, 'we are each other's true loves and even that can't break this.' Charming fell to the floor as Regina broke her hold of him, still staring at the blonde she started to stroke the woman's cheek and kiss her lips again. 'I love you my darling, so very much.'
