Bella
I dont exactly remember leaving the woods, or getting back to the Cullen's, but apparently the second we arrived I walked up to the spare bedroom on the second floor and passed out on the bed fully clothed.
Seeing him again. Being in his mere presence again, wore me out.
Oh Dominic, why. As if the day couldn't get anymore eventful, you had to make an appearance. Classic you.
I awoke hours later to the sound of rustling wind against the open window. Which I grudgingly pushed closed after forcing myself out of the bed. The room was dark and quiet. If not for the moonlight, I would be blind. Laying back down in the feathered pillows I found myself pondering over Dominic once again.
There was a time where seeing him would have brought me nothing but a smile to my face, but now I cant think of someone I want to see less.
I don't remember the sun coming up, but around 5am I rolled out of bed and headed down the stairs, still with the same clothes on as the day before. Normally, Alice would be chastising me over my appearance the second she heard me wake up. Normally though, I suppose she wouldn't be chastising a hunter. She'd be chastising innocent Bella Swan. Someone who in 24 hours had basically died and gone to hell already. Hell is after all my past, present and future.
When I reached the bottom of the stairs Dean and Sam stood in the kitchen with Carlisle as they discussed something in deep detail. Carlisle looked troubled yet understanding, and my while Dean's gaze was hard, Sam's was almost pleading. So compassionate my brother is.
I stood in the doorway for maybe a a second before all three of their gazes shifted to me.
"Well Good morning to you-"
"Get your things, we leave in 10." Dean cut me off with his firm statement which left me dazed and confused.
"Wait were leaving? But, what about Victoria, and the case here that you talked-"
"There is no case here Bella. This Victoria, isn't our problem. Or yours. If Edward is the one that killed her mate then I don't think it will be much harder for any of them to kill her." Sam crossed his arms.
"Innocent people are dying here. We can't leave this town unprotected." I shot back.
"It's well protected Isabella. Protected by the tribes that have been here for hundreds of years, and protected by my very clan. You need to be with your family. This is for the best. " Carlisle turned towards me with sad eyes. It was obvious that my brothers had already told him he needed to push me out the door on my ass just as Edward once did. Speaking of which,
"Where's everyone?"
"Hunting. I thought it best they didn't hear of your departure. This is for the best for them as well." Carlisle's words were forced. I knew he didn't really think this but I couldn't help but feel my eyes sting.
"So what, we go where exactly?" I asked turning back to my brothers and avoiding Carlisle's gaze.
"You come on our search for dad. We find him, we get him out of his shit hole, and then you out of yours. Everything's solved and we can go back to being the amazing Winchester trio." Dean was in a way trying to lighten the mood.
"You're insane if you think that thing will be the same after we find him. He'll kill me. Then both of you. You cannot make me leave and I wont just leave my friends and family." I hissed.
"These people are not your family. WE are your family, and we need you. Were leaving get your things now." Sam shocked me with his words. Realizing I wasn't going to get out of this one, I stumbled out of the kitchen and headed to Edward's room where my bags sat in the corner.
Looking around one last time, I didn't feel like this would be the end of my relationship with any of the Cullens. It was a strange and unrealistic feeling of course, but I didn't feel like a goodbye was necessary.
Shaking my head at my conflicted thoughts, I dragged my duffle across the floor and swung it over my shoulder. i stumbled out of the room with reluctance and shut the door behind me. Leaving Edward as he once left me. Though I can't help but feel like if I didn't leave him, he would wind up dead before even my six months were up.
Of course this goes for all other vampires under this roof. They can of course handle themselves against those who don't nearly match their strength, yet I doubt even Emmett would not cower at the sight of a Wendigo.
The growling of the Impala brought me out of my thoughts. As I peered out the blinds I saw my two brothers sitting in the family car rather impatiently.
Without further hesitation I waltzed down the stairs and towards the front door when a voice spoke behind me,
"You're just going to leave then?" My pixie of a best friend asked without a hint of happiness. My eyes began to sting again as I turned around and met her golden gaze.
"Aren't you supposed to be-?
"Out hunting with the others? Yes. I came back to wake you up and get you out of those rags but...well...you obviously have more important things to attend too then changing your clothes." Her eyes ran up and down my pathetic and dirty state but her gaze held no disgust. More understanding than disgust at least.
"Look Alice, I have to do this. You should know of all people what's going to happen and-"
"Save the speech." She held up her hands as if in surrender. "I already heard it." Tapping her temple with her index finger she smiled at me softly. "I'm not mad Bella, and I don't need an excuse. I get it. It hurts me, but I get it. You need to find your dad, and get this whole thing straightened out. Maybe once thats over and done with..." She trailed off but I knew what she was asking, and I nodded.
"The second we find him, and fix whatever shit he's in, I will call you. I'll check in every so often so whenever you do see it coming, make sure Edward isn't around. He doesn't need to know where I'm going. This is apparently for the best." Alice said nothing, but she nodded ever so slightly and then suddenly she threw her arms around me in a bone crushing hug, which I returned without reluctance fearing this would be the last time I would get another moment like this with her. I couldn't nearly match her strength and eventually I gasped and begged her to release me due to lack of oxygen. She smiled shly and apologized before taking a step back and opening the door for me. I walked out the door and turned around suddenly about to ask her about Edward but she beat me to it.
"I won't tell him where you go or why, but be safe Bella." The tears rolled down my cheeks and I gripped my bag tighter and watcher her shut the door.
Turning my heels in the dirt, I walked towards the Impala and opened the back door. After I settled with sitting directly in the middle of the back seat, we took off down the gravel driveway that led to the Cullens home.
I did not look back.
